i have a huge dump of stuff to put here. be prepared for my silly shit :3

here we go :3

first stuff i made on an aggie featuring my silly mouse sonic oc named skitter

then one of those character sheet things i made for a silly bc i saw someone else do it and i was bored

then some traditional art made just now featuring max karria ( @boyrobottz 's character [sorry for the mention btw judas])

i apologize for my bad handwriting by the way, not even i can read it well. i just didn't care to put effort into it

then an infodump and unrelated drawing in which both feature depressive themes and the dump which has suicide mention which both has them go right under the cut

starting with the art before you read a whole ass essay,

it's basically kat lore but as a picture (and hints further towards a future character arc which i refuse to outright tell anyone :3

onto what is essentially an essay, brace yourself /lh

Hellfurries are strange, cat-like demons from one of the cooler parts of hell. They have since spread out, but most remain in the colder areas due to their thick coats of fur. They can shapeshift or change form with little to no limits, but in most cases, they choose not to do anything with it aside from comedic purposes, reaching something, or self-defense. Hellfurries aren't typically short-tempered, but that doesn't mean some can be. They're still people with their own personalities, and they don't all behave the same. Hereditary depression is found in more Hellfurries than not, but it rarely ends in suicide or suicide attempts. Again, that doesn't mean it can't happen, but the suicide rate in Hellfurries is exceptionally low compared to the one in humans.

onto general appearance, not regarding assigned gender at birth, most if not all Hellfurries have at least four ears, the rear bottom pair typically being longer than the front top pair. All Hellfurries have at least one tail that can vary in size, along with a thick, insulating yet breathable coat of fluffy fur. Along with the ears, tail(s), and fur, they also have a pair of horns. Their hair color can vary, with the most common colors being purples, pinks, oranges, and blacks, while some of the more rare ones consist of blues, greens, reds, and teals. The reason for this isn't exactly known, but it happens anyway. Hellfurries typically live to around 200 years old, give or take, and begin puberty quite early, around the same age as humans would, ranging from 10 to 15. Most of their body ceases growing past 38, but their horns continue to grow no matter what at a very reasonably slow pace, averaging around a quarter of an inch a year as opposed to their horn growth during puberty, which is about twice that at around half an inch a year. Hellfurries can display catlike behavior at times, as they are completely capable of just curling up and taking a nap whenever and wherever. This typically happens in children and teenagers, but any adult of any age could do it at any time as well. Most Hellfurries are extremely accepting of lgbtqia+ people, and it's evident that a good bit of them are on the queer spectrum themselves.

On to traits associated with assigned gender at birth: female assigned Hellfurries will always have white horns, with VERY little exception in a few cases. They typically have 2–9 fluffy tails and - because of a rare genetic mutation with no known reason, as it isn't a problem with melanin production, will in some cases have white ears. This is a recessive gene, which means it's not the most common thing you'll find in a Hellfurry but miraculously only occurs in those assigned females. Again, the reason for this is unknown. Assigned female Hellfurries typically grow longer, sharper horns than assigned male ones do, most likely for no particular reason. Looping back to ear colors, if an assigned female does not have white ears, they will have ears the same color as their natural hair color, with, no matter what, naturally white insides.

For assigned male Hellfurries, they will always have black ears, except for a few strange intersex cases in which it was a mottled mix between black and the subject's natural hair color. This also happened with a feminine-leaning intersex subject, where the subject's natural hair color was the dominant one and black was more of an accent. Back on topic, assigned male Hellfurries also have naturally black horns, with no known exceptions. They also typically have one large and even fluffier tail, though they can be found with up to five. Funnily enough, though, their tails remain white instead of the black coloration found on their horns and ears. assigned male Hellfurries (that still identify as male) are often called femboys because of their smaller frame and wider hips than assigned female Hellfurries, and it's become a bit of an inside joke with them all.

As for the average height between assigned male and assigned female Hellfurries, a mature male assigned Hellfurry would typically be around 5-6, while a female assigned Hellfurry would be around 7-8'. There isn't much of a reason for this, as with most things about Hellfurries, but the difference is very, very visible. Most transgender Hellfurries will shift to adjust their height to be taller or shorter. Most non-binary ones will try to stay in the middle of the height range to look less gendered and more easily distinguishable.

definitely gonna change the name from hellfurries at some point because i just dont have a name for them and hellfurries just stuck because of my friend group

also i know i said "cooler parts of hell" i just dont think it would all be a fiery wasteland if it were a real place

Hiiii I'm really sorry to bother you but I noticed on your old blog you used to have a rule that said not to treat your character like Jesse Pinkman. I think I get why its a concern but I'm wondering why it doesn't say that anymore and also I'm curious to know about what you think the differences between Caleb and Jesse are

omg ok first of all bb, you are certainly not bothering me by asking questions. i appreciate being asked thank you 🥰

secondly uh, i removed that disclaimer from my rules bc i felt like i didn't really need it anymore. it does still apply but i really only had it up bc when i was still fairly new to writing caleb i would get a lot of anons making br.ba jokes. so naturally there would be a lot of people pretending to be fuckin walter white in my inbox trying to tell caleb "let's cook" and like "jesse stop screwing around with robots and get back to work" and shit and like. yeah it's a fun little joke. ONCE. 😬

when you're seeing it multiple times a day/week it loses charm real quick. so i decided to be kinda petty about it and be like 'y'all know that caleb is NOT jesse right?' and i did two things. i flat out stopped responding to br.ba anons and i added that warning to my rules. and it seemed like it worked! i stopped getting flooded and my inbox was allowed to know peace again. but like i said, i don't think i really need it anymore because it should just be kind of a given, right? i mean i'm sure this has happened to other people before and will continue to happen bc that's the internet and unfortunately some people have no concept of boundaries and others just struggle with understanding that they might be making someone uncomfortable without intending to.

but like. to think of a popular example which i'm sure has happened before and will surely happen in the future i just think of a mun who writes joel from the last of us and maybe they like using pedro pascal's portrayal and they enjoy using him as an fc. now imagine that rper getting an inbox filled with anon messages treating joel as totally indistinguishable from the mandalorian. telling him he's gotta go find grogu or asking him why he abandoned his son for ellie or something along those lines. there are some GLARING differences between joel miller and din djarin. they're clearly not the same character.

so it might be funny to the person sending the messages and they're probably just having fun like. i'm sure they don't mean anything bad by it. but lemme tell ya, it's not as much fun to the mun on the receiving end. and in my case it sent me into a lil bit of a writer crisis like 'oh fuck is caleb nichols just a carbon copy of jesse pinkman is that how other people i write with see him?? what can i do to make him stand apart and be different without pulling him away from westworld canon too much??'

so anyway that's the rant over with. to answer the second half of this, caleb and jesse are different people. they just are. they do have a lot in common ranging from appearance to basic personality traits to the way they use body language, but they aren't completely the same. they come from different backgrounds which were influenced by various different factors.

jesse is more creative, he's an artist at heart and he has an artist's mindset and that's a kind of freedom to him. he expresses himself mainly through aesthetics. he draws, he wears a colorful wardrobe that really makes him stand out, the first time walter tells him that cooking crystal is chemistry jesse argues back that it is art and he has his signature style and he resents that walt forces him to change it. the reason jesse got involved in the drug trade is predominantly because it's the one place he is allowed and encouraged to express himself freely through art.

caleb on the other hand, is a soldier and he has a soldier's mindset toward most things. he is/was for the most part content with being told what to do next, following orders, sticking to a game plan. he expresses himself mainly through acts of service in canon, particularly to family as we see with his mom in the hospital and when he leaves his wife and daughter behind to go try and put a stop to the war that's coming. he wants to help, he wants to keep everyone safe and the only way he really knows how to do that is to fight.

i'd also say that while jesse and caleb are both highly empathetic and sensitive to the feelings of others, caleb is more stoic about it. i'm not totally sure if that's just how he is naturally or if he's so wracked and troubled by traumatic experiences and was trained to swallow those emotions in the military or otherwise learned to shut down but like. where jesse is always emoting something and never just sitting completely still and blank, caleb seems more comfortable with staying quiet and not always necessarily showing what's on his mind at a given moment.

and there are or course many more things i can say about specific differences but i feel like i've made this post long enough and gone on a scattered tangent so like. i might explore it way more in depth at a later date. ❤️

Say hello to Piper! there were also going to be a set of weapons that get collected over time that cast use but they didn't seem like weapons. A book that has people and things sealed within it able to release said thing and control it with a key! and a painting! theres more but I don't want to have this be too long

(bc its VERY rare that an account focused on humor will post content that reveals their face and/or their loved one/s. so. safe to assume it isn't theirs.) and i do want to find the original personal account this image/video in question came from, so i do look. there's a very small margin of error where, if a video looks really old, i wont look tho bc i assume the original account it was posted on is gone and, if it really looks old enough or like enough of "that type of oops funny thing was improv'ed" gag that i think maybe it was on "America's Funniest Home Videos" or a similar clip-show on cable?? ill admit, those ones, i dont try. but if it's like "this obviously friends trying to do a silly trend on tiktok"?? yeah, of course, i look for the account that came from, absolutely. but yeah, that's the usual spectrum for those types. i rarely find, much less keep, videos i can see landing on those "America's Funniest Home Video" type of clip-shows. so, really, the only "danger" there is for being a new video featuring irl people who idk? to go uncredited AND be a rare case where i didn't even try to look for the original account?? is, again, if the low-resolution and content of the video makes me think the video is old enough to where searching would be pointless. to which i then ask, fam? why the fuck is the resolution so bad that i thought this was maybe uploaded to Vine or MySpace (or MAYBE even was a VHS mailed to early-EARLY "AFHV"? lmao imagine), the fuck lol???? but whatever, nobody's perfect, i think you can grant me this kind of margin of error if my anxiety is already willing to grant it lmao

which, ill fully admit. i care about crediting these people for my own self-interests. like, sure, i do it in no small part bc it's the nice and kind thing to at least TRY to do. but also?? i do care about ensuring that person gets a shout-out bc of my anxiety catastrophisizing the hypothetical of a post of mine blowing up and inducing me to feel massive guilt from the fact that i didnt give credit to the people who actually made the item in question so they could also share in the attention of virality. so like. i dont assume ill go viral?? i WORRY ill go viral lmao if? that?? makes sense? which. i have trauma that i know would make me hate even a quarter-of-the-way viral levels of attention would imply. and i feel like, if this account was to ever go viral (god forbid. gatekeep me. dont let it happen lol there's a significant chance i might abandon this account if that happens), i feel like one thing that would basically be destined to happen is i would get chronically-online people criticizing me for not crediting my sources and riding on other people's hard-work. which like. i know they would do anyway since im not perfect at crediting. but if i didnt even TRY, that would hurt differently in a way that'd fuck me up. never know who could be the next hypothetical Cinderella story, like how Kombucha-Girl became the p fucking famous Britney Broski (regardless on your or my own feelings on Britney Broski, she did get her fame from a jokey meme that totally changed her life). give people their credit. like. i am also doing it to be nice and kind, sure! but know that even if i felt exhausted of all my nicities and kind inklings somehow on some certain day?? my anxiety would still demand i at least TRY to find the source. like. anytime you see NO credit?? ANYWHERE??? know the day i found the image/video, i probably spent a good chunk of time between 15 to 45 minutes, out of niceness and kindness and also to appease my anxiety, trying to find the source before calling it quits and saying "at least i tried" (aforementioned exceptions and/or margin of error notwithstanding lol)

which, with everyone where i have TRIED to see if i could reverse-image-source the item?? ive had mixed results from that. sometimes, i found them; sometimes, i didn't. but feel free to try again for me. you might get the correct result a lot quicker than me!

well. my information im about to share with you could be outdated or incomplete, so take this with a grain of salt. but i remember in elementary school how my teacher told our class that google alters the search-results per [insert IP or whatever the technical term she said that ive forgotten is] depending on the history of searches. she told us this so that "if you can't find the answer you need, it doesn't mean you're stupid. ask a friend to check their search-results and find the answer together! it might just be google being picky about what words (or i guess the equivalent would be which frame you chose to screenshot in your and my case, since i dont think an image-file itself being uploaded could result in pickiness) you decided to use, or perhaps it's results are biasedly influenced by what the AI has learned about your family through your families' collective internet search-history". which was basically her sly way of telling us to not depend on the first results we find, or even the first page of results, but to be critical of our sources in their credibility and whatnot. so, the way i understood what she meant was via an example she proceeded to give us that went SOMETHING(?) like this:

(🅰️) a kid whose parent is a professor with a doctorate who brings work home often, meaning they use the family-wifi to research academic studies. when that kid googles "teach me about pyramids"? their results may be extremely well-regarded articles about the Egyptian pyramids (such as the New York Times), peer-reviewed journals about the Egyptian tombs history, Khan Academy and other very good mathematical sources to help you understand how pyramids work within geometry, a released study-guide of various pyramids' formulas (relating to geometry) from Harvard's math-degree program, and much more. a very good foundation for their Egyptian pyramid report for class, and the math could help with that research in breaking down those pyramids dimensions in that report which could give that student an interesting angle that puts their report from an "A" status to an "A+" status, especially if their parent can help them plug in the right numbers into the relevant formulas! very helpful

vs. (🅱️) a kid whose parent works in accounting and taxes, who strives for a healthy work-life balance of never bring work home as often as possible. as a result, the parent uses the family wifi to play pseudo-gambling-with-fake-money apps on their phones more than anything else, to de-compress and de-stress. when that kid googles "teach me about the pyramids"? their results will include some articles about the Egyptian pyramids, but maybe not as credibly-sourced since the [insert IP or whatever it was called again] with this family's wifi isn't used to finding online resources of academic credibility. in fact, the student might get confused since a lot of results might be influenced by those pseudo-gambling phone-apps, and be showing the child information about Las Vegas's pyramids. which. isn't what the report is about. and due to this parent likely having to still bring work home sometimes, like during tax season or other stressful crunch-times, there might be way more math results about pyramids (geometry) than about the Egyptian pyramids. but accountants don't use geometry in their work, they use more basic arithmetic and algebra. so the formulas about the pyramids (geomtry) here would only talk about the pyramids of Egypt as part of the word-problems. so even if the parent was to also have the availability to help the kid plug in the accurate applicable numbers into the formula? those formulas are more likely to be not give a full picture of how to calculate the Egyptian pyramids' size and dimensions. and that's if the kid has the right numbers written down as they might have the dimensions for those Las Vegas pyramids instead, and feels inspired by these online results to even try to do this math (as the lack of "training the computer" to look for reliable articles means these word-problem results are more likely to be blank homework page examples, but could also include walk-throughs here and there like the Kid-A recieved plenty of). but those Egyptian pyramid articles, the most important part of this whole paper, are ALSO more likely to be from less reliable sources with perhaps incorrect information (bc people online like to lie. bc it is fun. but also sometimes people online think they are right when they actually fundamentally misunderstand something), like maybe Kid-B sees enough articles by conspiracy theorists on those unreliable websites that Kid-B thinks "aliens built the Egyptian pyramids" is a more seriously considered and debated topic of academic discussion than it is (which.. it's not. that actually has gotten the famous "Aleins" History Channel Meme Guy fired from his job bc his outspoken belief in this theory cpuld have risked his university's reputation and accreditation. so. yeah, no, Kid-B, those are not academic articles). overall, unless either the parent or Kid-B themselves catches that Kid-B has to sort through a lot more "proverbial litter" to find good, ACTUALLY academic, and ACTUALLY reliable sources of information about the Egyptian pyramids and Egypt's history, Kid-B could fail their report. even if they spent just as long on research and worked just as hard as Kid-A, all bc Kid-B was ignorant to their digital disadvantages and Kid-A unknowingly advantaged. all bc of that [thing with IP or AI or whatever it was called] and what it had learned from the family wifi what the assumed interests of its users would be. a feature no kid could easily turn off/on

which worked at making the kids in our class write down these Definitively Reliable Websites where we could search for accredited articles and peer-reviewed sources. i dont remember what they were back then, we were only in 5th or 4th grade. but it was a great lesson to be taught, im frankly shocked and a bit appalled that more kids were not taught this kind of syuff when teachers are first helping students learn how to research. everyone NOT from that class (even kids who did go to the same elementary school, but jusy did not have that teacher) all have been shocked as i am usually the first one to tell people about how, yeah, that's an aspect of how many (if not all) search-engines work

anyway. the information stuck with all of us from that class, as far as i can tell (a lot of us in that class attended the same middle and high school. like. at least 40% of us, if not a LOT more. so there was a rare time or two where id talk about this and i wouldn't be The First Person To Ever Tell Someone This Search-Engine Info. and every time it was bc the peer in question i just told would go "oh! yeah, i remember [insert name of other kid that i shared that elementary teacher with] said the same to me, like, last year!" or something. but that WAS rare so idk), or at least it always stuck with me. and i was one of the luckier kids who didn't NEED to know the info! and it still has stuck with me all these years later, even the examples of Kid-A and Kid-B!! like! i was on Kid-A's side of the spectrum WAY more than i was to Kid-B's side of the spectrum. my family definitely "trained the computer" in a way i got massive benefits from. like im talking i either was 100% Kid-A, 0% Kid-B or else i was a very minimal mix like maybe 93% Kid-A, 07% Kid-B levels of "minimal". yet still, whenever i find i distrust the google results on my phone, if im next to a friend, ill ask them to google the same thing i did to see if their first page of results looks better than mine and very often we DO get different search results! so!! even if i dont get how that works, that teacher was still right!

brief tangent: im convinced this is how some of my friends that are girls who do the whole "i can stalk your would-be-date like a Private Eye and find out information down to a C.I.A. level about if this person is worthy of being assumed to be trustworthy or not" benefit from this. like they themsleves have trained their phones (with their own dates and friends' dates and even co-workers/other acquantices' dates) or something to be AWESOME and THAT FAST at pulling up the results most likely to give them all of this stranger's private info. it's wild

anyway, screenshot or download the png or jpeg or whatever (or screenshot a frame from a video) to try to find the source if you think the lack of credit on the post implies i cant find it (bc it's either that or i forgot. which. "forgot" could mean "i have the source but didnt realize i didnt put it in the post" OR "i once had the source but now forgot who to credit this to and can't find them, oh no". so. good chance i likely need help even if it was an "oh, i forgot" type of mistake). you may have a better trained [whatever the tech is, if not IP, idk] than me at reverse-image-searching to find the people and/or company the item in question is originally from. who knows. go give it a try! what's the worst that could happen? lol

but yeah, when the source is obviously. like. Walt Disney Studios or like Pixar or Warner Brothers or RDJ or Nicholas Cage or whoever the fuck then like?? i didn't put credit bc they don't need the shout-out, you very well probably recognize the actor/studio/product they are in if it's something real mainstream that tou onlt know bc of pop culture osmosis, they got millions or billions of money as pocket-change, im not stressing myself out with crediting EVERYONE since crediting "everyone" doesn't affect "everyone" equally. im only worried about the people who not getting a shout-out could potentially very negatively affect (aka: the little guys). im not gonna stress about "the big guys" lol they're rich, they're easy to find, they're fine lmao

if you DO need help finding the source from "a big guy" that i posted about, just go @ me in a post and ask (or, hell, reblog the post that came from me and @ me in the said reblog. you can delete it after i answer you). i know i have Asks/Submits/Replies/etc turned off. i think my lines with who i decide to credit and who i dont are overall pretty clear. and i think it helps that, the way i see it, im not a hypocrite about my ideas of who to credit and who not to: bc things do get dicey when it comes to crediting people with small edits. yet i also dont insist on any credit for any of my own edits, bc i also see my edits as p fucking small. which might get SOME people mad on principle should they disagree with my overall perspective. regardless, this bit here will VERY likely be my one and only statement about it

but i do fully admit i dont quite know THE qualative line exactly? but let's establish what i mean via examples. if an account is posting a clip-compilation of "Digital Circus" and they did a "all the times Jax was sassy for 3 minutes" or something, meaning they did splice and edit this compilation together (that is one chunk of editing they did in of itself). but then they also added tiny edits, like i know its common for tiktok funny-scene-compilation-editors to have one the said simple edits just be a "🙄😒" next the character rolling their eyes (in this case, Jax). in my mind?? even tho this editor did add these kind of very minimal additions to the content at hand? and im just profiting off of the convenience of "oH YEAH, i wanted this scene clipped to use for reactions/memes! i just was putting it off bc i didnt know its time-stamp" and i use any clips, those with "🙄😒" edits and otherwise, where the most editing *i* then do afterwards is like add captions? i still see that as "the source belongs to 'Digital Circus' as there were no significant edits done to alter the material". i'm not crediting the editor that i benefited from the clip-compilation of. that's part of why i also walk what i talk in saying "if i subtitled or edited additionally to anything on this blog? you do not have to credit me. i barely did anything. i just added text, maybe with some effects done to said text to reflect volume/tone/pitch or whatever, and maybe a couple emojis/pictures were overlayed. that's nothing. i try to caption most things for accessibility. and sometimes i feel like being a goofball and i add other things ontop of it. bur nothing worthy of crediting me". bc, in the case of my edits and other people's similarly small edits? is the gag 10 times out of 10 is all still on the original content. but we start talking about an edit as in someone made an AMV?? (as in they had to splice in time to the music and maybe did other edits in addition to elevate the AMV. not as in "look, i put music behind this otherwise unedited clip" lol) or someone heavily edited this non-AMV clip of Jax to have, idk, silly meme-y circus-music ontop of having done manips of a rainbow clown wig and nose to follow his every head-motion and then ALSO did the classic DUN-meme-sound reverberation with camera-shake and black-white filter after Jax's dumbest expressions or lines?? that. that is SO MUCH editing and definitely changes the clip to where i am absolutely sourcing both "Digital Circus" and that editor. both of the AMV and circus-Jax

wait okay actually oh my god I am not sorry about the oc posting bc I'm simply obsessed with the dynamic between a kid and their dad's eventual boyfriend like. oh my god.

like imagine sammy is coming over one night for idk reasons I don't have to come up with that yet so we'll just imagine anyway he's coming over one night and frank is like coloring in the kitchen and vince leaves them alone for a minute for once again reasons and sammy is like oh geez I am so going to screw this up and it's like sammy omfg it's 5 whole minutes relax. but anyway he walks up to her and he's like "so what's up uh. picasso?" and she looks up and him and scrunches up her nose and he's like "yeah fair. bad nickname I'll think of something else" and she's like "I'm coloring" and he nods very seriously and is like "I see. what is it" and she looks at him and laughs like it should be obvious and she goes "it's a mouse" and he's like "oh of course. naturally" meanwhile sammy is in the doorway watching his not yet boyfriend talk to his four year old daughter like they are partners at a law firm.

and frank watches sammy fumble for something else to say and he doesn't know what to say bc it doesn't really look like a mouse, she's four, but he's also not gonna tell a four year old that she's bad at drawing bc he knows enough about kids to know that that would be mean and also it isn't even actually a bad drawing it just. doesn't look like a mouse. anyway frank gives him a colored pencil and a piece of paper and looks at him very seriously and goes "we're drawing a mouse family that lives in a teapot in the woods" and sammy nods very seriously like this makes sense to him and says "yes of course. naturally" and he draws some mice in a teapot. and it looks very bad. and he's like kind of afraid of this four year old judging his art for some reason? bc okay he'll be honest her mouse didn't look like a mouse but the frog neighbor she drew that lived in the shoe in the woods next to the mouse family? dude

frank takes her job as an art critic very seriously, especially bc it's her dad's friend sammy and she loves her dad's friend sammy bc he's very silly and she thinks if she plays it up a lot he'll be very silly indeed. and he is. of course. bc he's sammy and he's talking to a four year old but as far as he's concerned this might as well be judgement day. frank declares his little mouse family in their little teapot house in the woods "very good. naturally" and sammy is like oh my god this kid just eviscerated me.

they trade pictures at the end of the day, of course. bc that's what u do when u spend the day coloring with children, u trade the pictures u drew. sammy facetimes vince one day, out of the blue. vince answers and sammy's like "hey, darling, put your kid on the phone" and vince goes to get frank and sammy can hear him say "hey kiddo sammy's asking for u" and he can also hear frank's subsequent shriek of delight and he feels a little warm even tho he still genuinely has no idea why she likes him so much. once frank's on the phone he's like "hey mouse check this out" and he turns the camera and there her picture is, with the teapot mice and the shoe frog, stuck to the front of his fridge with two little magnets on opposite corners, one mouse and one frog.

and frank goes nuts right bc like to her this is the highest honor. she's four years old, her dad's friend sammy's fridge may as well be the moma. but there vince is in the background, trying very hard to hide his smile bc it is way too fond, always too fond around sammy aguilar and he has no idea when that started to happen but that's a problem for later bc what he does know is this: sammy aguilar is not a man who is easily impressed. by anything. but he has a scribbled picture of rainbow mice and purple frogs hanging front and center on his fridge

Maybe a sad headcanon (which might be kind canon?). It's about the moment, where Lexaeus slams Riku against the ceiling and shouts "Don't mock me!". I didn't exspected him saying this tbh, because he seems like a calm and collected person. So I have been thinking about this and got to the conclusion, that he (and Aeleus) were only reduced by their muscles. People might have mocked him, bc they thought he was just a brickwall. (He didn't talk much, so they didn't know his intelligence)

I went and did dumb research (read: used this as a moment to go watch clips a bunch and be lazy) cause you got me curious, and while there’s already a lot of little small things different between japanese&english this is actually one of them? Like I’m fairly sure the translation of what he yells is “Cease this”/stop this, which sounds more accurate to his character than “BITCH YOU THOUGHT” and axe sword slapping him to the ceiling.

which may be why–

his canon reaction seems to be “welp, gonna stand here and be quiet, threateningly looming behind Ienzo in case anything happens”. Swapping between the two versions it really seems like Lex(& later Ael) hold no grudges towards getting beaten? He blames himself for losing, taking a fight he can’t win, which is right up his alley especially when you count in the samurai theme to him, with personality, honor, etc. Like Lex dies basically going “oh shit you’re good, no wonder Ansem SoD wanted you. Damn sorry Zexion I shouldda known better.” And if Ienzo is able to separate out the Repliku from Riku, his very :)!!! reaction to everything would make sense. But that boy is a bundle of contradictions for how I feel would be a natural reaction to things especially when he grew up in darkness but WHAT DO I KNOW?

Aeleus was considered one of Ansem the Wise’s best students so I’d figure everyone under Ansem’s wing knew this, I feel like they’d consider him more than his muscles? At least the original RG set, the other numbers deeper in may have picked on him, especially those who seem to be part of the KHUX timeline. BUT AT THE SAME GODDAMN TIME Lexaeus doesn’t trust like, anyone right? Canonly? I’m pretty sure it’s stated he trusts everyone in the Org basically as far as they can throw him, which tends to be at arm’s length or less– besides Ienzo. And I dunno how he thinks really because he’s a fictional character in a videogame series with some questionable writing at best, but as a quiet person who is overly suspicious of everyone around me? I wouldn’t let anyone calling me dumb, or only good for my [one thing] get to me. It’s a ?? to me, whether or not that would’ve been the reason for the English line.

I FEEL LIKE, if I ignore the Japanese side, only using the English lines to draw headcanon from the line; it’s less of a ‘too much pent up he’s finally pissed’, and that final bit of “give me the respect, brat” coming from his fair/noble side. He’s Samurai themed, and beaten, and instead of getting the chance to bow out and accept a death since he was rightfully beaten, Riku (who is a kid so like, you can’t blame him) gung-ho charges in and Lex axe-slaps him back like bitch, you won but he’s not dead yet.

Im also talking out my ass here I just really want to talk about Aeleus but I’m super underqualified.

Sidebar super unrelated to both of the asks I brought up but still related because it’s a good Mountain: Do you ever get the feeling he’s one of the rare Org members who has, while not full, a pretty good grasp on his Somebody humanity? There was no reason for him to cling so hard to Zexion making him his “one” person he trusted in an organization where there was no reason to trust anyone; even beating out BFFL Isa&Lea’s crumbling friendship, and possibly beating out Lauriam&Elrena’s “Yeah I’ll follow you into the dark, why the shit not lets party”. When Dilan changed, Xaldin didn’t seem to care about any of his old team, even Ael/Lex who you could easily headcanon as a close friend just by their dual guard status. Vexen didn’t seem to care about someone who Even considered his son (or charge? ward?? I don’t know the official term for his feelings towards Ienzo, just that he Cared), but he still flocked to/ended up on the same mini-team with him. But fuckin Lexaeus is over there like, ah yes, the one we’re calling the schemer, the possibly next-second to our Master before Saix slams up the ranks in a showy, head-carving call of dibs. That conniving boy that nobody should ever trust just from what his power is. This is the one goddamn person in the entire Organization I trust. The only reason I can imagine why is that underlying Aeleus heart in him like clawing and scraping up his chest cavity refusing to let him fail Ienzo again (since, well, they were clearly gathered around his fallen body. There was an effort to protect the scientists and he Failed). And then his final lines in both english and japanese being an apology for failing again/not being there for him. Lexaeus how do you have that much of a Heart in you. The only other ones really shown to do that are the ones important to plot (Axel’s buildup/sacrifice, Roxas as a whole, and I know I’m missing other people’s character arcs but this is fuckin Lexaeus, the most unloved member of the Org set or at least he was when I first got into the series. WHY DID HE GET THIS QUIETLY SLIPPED IN HINT OF HUMANITY, OF ALL OF THEM?)
