LMAO I take back every nice thought I had about the portrayal of archaeology in Travelling Light, the archaeologist and the anthropologist are complicit in the black market smuggling and sale of artifacts and this is portrayed as more or less fine because they’re not sacred texts or anything they’re just “stuff”

#And I previously thought the portrayal of archaeology was unusually good too #Can’t have shit in podcasts 😔#Okay if this show becomes an edgy crime drama with morally ambiguous scientists I would be Interested though #The naïve Traveller who cannot respect people’s social boundaries accidentally getting sucked into Crimes because of it #I’m here for that #I guess they COULD be smuggling looted artifacts back to their proper owners #If we want to stick with the podcast’s theme so far is Everyone Is Nice All The Time And Nothing Is Problematic And There’s No Conflict Eve #In which case I’ll re-take-back my complaints #Hestia sure seems to think they’re doing something morally dubious tho
