Hello. We are Shin Hyesung's legal representative. As reported today, Shin Hyesung was recently notified by the Seoul Eastern District Prosecutor's Office that he was charged with road traffic (refusal to measure alcohol consumption) and illegal use of car lights in connection with an incident that occurred around October 2022. From the time the incident occurred to the present, Shin Hyesung has been faithfully participating in the investigation process while deeply reflecting on his mistakes. Even in the future trial process, he will admit all wrongdoing and faithfully participate in the related procedures, and he will be punished for my mistakes. It has already been 21 years this year since artist Kim Dongwan made his debut. Thanks to the unchanging love and support from the longtime fans, Kim Dongwan has been able to continue doing his activities. Thank you as always.

However, there are people who occasionally express their love for the artist in the wrong manner. Actions of violating the privacy of the artist or spreading baseless rumors via social networking sites (SNS) are never right. Such senseless behavior gives the artist a hard time.

We are fully aware of the matters such as going to the home of the artist at night without permission, hanging around the rehearsal rooms, uploading ridiculous rumors on SNS, etc,. We have since then received apologies from the people who committed such acts and have been given their words to not repeat those actions.

However, there is no realistic approach to prevent or to put an end to such acts. Even by imposing penalties to the parties involved, it does not seem to have much more of an effect to putting an end to it. (for example, there isn't really a way to prevent people from coming to a concert or a performance venue even though they may have been penalized from participating in public broadcasts.)

It it time to consider taking more serous approaches in handling actions that are getting worse as days go by. If something similar happens in the future, it will never end with just apologies and promises to prevent the same thing from happening.

ever since their weekly idol episode i've gotten hooked (finished watching the 3 seasons of sb in 3 days) they're extremely hilarious :-( i'm actually 18 this year (which makes eric a whole 2 decades older than me o god) & i ult a 3rd generation boy group, so i don't have any friends to share shinhwa jokes with (my fav is hyesung's 나도 아뿌다) do u think i could still be a shcj? also do the members have any personal sns accounts like twt or instagram? thank u!!

Just so you know I’m only 3 years older than you XDDD I don’t have any friends in school who like Shinhwa either, most of them mainly like the current idol groups or the 2nd generation groups. I’ve always been fangirling on my own (& with my Mum lol) until I started this blog, and actually became brave enough to interact with people on the internet. That was 4 years ago now.. (I was a goody two shoes who was taught not to talk to strangers online lol) But hey, I walked out of my box, made really great friends from the fandom, the best friends in fact, here on Tumblr. From then on, I created another Shinhwa Twitter account and made friends with even more SHCJs, whom I could spazz over Shinhwa with 24/7 literally. So really, all you need to do is try to open up yourself and mix with SHCJs online, I’m always around if you need someone to spazz with~~ XD And OF COURSE! You can still be a SHCJ, heck anyone from anywhere, of any age can too!

[Pop Up Music] ‘Touch’ completed by Shinhwa and Shinhwa Changjo

Shinhwa has had a meaningful promotions with ‘Touch’ along with their fan club, Shinhwa Changjo,

Shinhwa won first place in the 23rd’s broadcast of SBS ‘Inkigayo’. This is their second consecutive win, following the one on the 15th, and they’ve set a record for coming in first place both on their comeback and goodbye stages. Unfortunately, music show promotions for ‘Touch’ will only run for 2 weeks, and it has ended successfully with Shinhwa’s win on ‘Inkigayo’.

The number one contributor for the ‘Inkigayo’ win is fan club, Shinhwa Changjo. Shinhwa were first place nominees along with Akdong Musician’s ‘Last Goodbye’ and Bolbbalgan4′s ‘Tell Me That You Love Me’. Shinhwa was already first place based on the pre-show calculations alone but they earned the full score for the live voting segment by the viewers and became the clear winners. In the previous show on the 15th, they made a comeback from behind through the live voting scores.

Although the level of contribution from fans is meaningful in every singer’s first place win, what makes it more meaningful for Shinhwa Changjo is found within ‘Touch’ itself. ‘Touch’ is of the future bass genre, and Shinhwa is the first in mainstream Korean music industry to use it as their title track, thus gaining attention. What leaves an impression is that the chorus has no lyrics and is completely filled just by performance alone. The chorus is an important part where the hook or point lyrics are often used to create addiction but it is completely filled just by their own aura.

In the chorus, instead of Shinhwa’s voice, Shinhwa Changjo’s voice is inserted. Shinhwa Company released the official fanchant for ‘Touch’ through their official SNS channels after they made their comeback. In the released fanchant, at the chorus where there are no lyrics, there is the fanchant of ‘Mun Junghyuk, Lee Minwoo, Kim Dongwan, Shin Hyesung, Jun-Jin, Lee Sunho, Shinhwa Changjo’. When you watch their music show performances, you can hear the chorus portion being filled by cheers from the fans. It’s made as if the chorus was left empty for the fans.

Shinhwa’s Lee Minwoo conveyed his appreciation to the fans through his Instagram on the 22nd, saying, “Sincere thanks to everyone who gave us their support for the two weeks, which was short, till the end. I’m happy that we are able to end with a win, thanks to everyone. I love you, Oranges.”

Shinhwa meaningfully filled up their short promotion period and will continue to work as a group. They are preparing for their self-produced reality program, slated for a mid-February release. As much as they’ve given their all to appear as a full group on varieties for the fans for this round of promotions, they continue to show they work just for the fans even with their reality program. By fans, for fans, the Shinhwa of fans. It’s the greatest reason why they are idols who have been loved for a long time.
