the robots in all my doodles are sentient, like "OH GOD IM ALIVE" sentient. Most of them "wake up" right before or during battle, where they'll def see their own be blow up and stuff, so to avoid humans (and basically being killed for money) there are groups, or "troops" of robots, spanning from small groups of 2-4, groups of 5-9, to huge troops 10-20 in really rare cases, that live in the wild and travel from place to place, mainly on the North American and Eurasian plates.

They'll take to junkyards or abandoned buildings to find materials to strengthen their armor with, and also augment themselves to fit their personal tastes (like 1 of my little guys, Peremo, who is a pyro robot that has pyrophobia. rip bozo 😔🙏).

In my versions of the Red and Blu team, there are 1 robot for each team. Red has Socrates, a medic robot who had his right arm removed so he can hold other things while healing, and Blu has Vlad, a heavy robot that is basically doing the same thing as Red Heavy, killing people for money so he can take care of his family (but like... they Eat the money instead of using it to keep the lights on).

so the girl in that drawing (+ my last few oc posts) is Robin, an oc who’s recently taken up residence in my brain and won’t leave.

her deal is that, 8 years ago on a fun roadtrip with her college friends, she was murdered. it was a total horror movie setup, and probably the others should have died too, but Robin sacrificed herself to take out the ���slasher’ while everyone else got away

now, years later, Robin’s been brought back to life by a demon named Clementine, who was *quite* upset that robin took her last human out of commission and has been looking for a new one.

Robin is SUPER upset about that- she feels like she was useless in life, and that her sacrifice was the one good thing she ever did and now it’s been negated by Clem just. popping into her head and reversing all that- but Clem won’t let her die, so Robin sets a new goal: Kill That Godamn Demon. this is complicated by the fact that she doesn’t know where Clementine actually is, because she mostly appears to Robin in hallucinations.

she’s forced to reconnect with people she knew in life, most importantly her sister Em, who’s now only 4 years younger than her rather than 12 since Robin didn’t age, and her best friend Claudia, who was the only one to witness the murder.

Was unsure about this but decided to post it.

It’s very messy and unfinished and has very minimal shading but I love these two little weirdos.

Thistle is supposed to be wearing hearing aids but I forgot (I almost forgot her glasses as well) so uh I guess he decided not to hear for a little bit.

Gave Clem a beard because the guy in the reference photo (under the cut) has one and I’ve been debating on if he would ever grow a proper one.
