5 hc game: au where Aizawa is nearby and saves Tenko, as he wouldn't ignore a lost toddler with blood on their hands

You narrowly won a kindness in a poll and so I shall not be tricksome and derail this prompt to the existing ten^3 au where Aizawa would be a minor character

1- so a first-year student Aizawa is walking to UA one day and hears something in an alley. He thinks it's a cat and goes to look, instead finding A Whole Child who has clearly seen better days. He tries to ask the kid what's wrong, show the UA uniform and that he's gonna be a hero, but the kid just shies away. When Aizawa gets closer, Tenko reaches out to touch a trashcan next to him, which turns to dust and spills the trash out.

2- "Oh. Can you not control your quirk?" He asks, and gets a little headshake. "And you don't want to hurt me?" A nod.

"That's ok, I can erase quirks, see?" His eyes glow yellow and his hair floats up. He tosses Tenko a trashed chip bag, and when Tenko picks it up, it doesn't decay.

Tenko throws his arms around Aizawa's neck and bursts into tears.

3- now extremely uncomfortable, and erasure no longer active, Aizawa stands up. He figures it's not the end of the world if his UA jacket gets decayed, or even his shirt, he'll just pull an Oboro and change into his gym clothes. But he does decide he needs to get this kid to the real heroes at UA who can actually handle this.

That plan is derailed when, after some time walking, a very tall man with white hair in a suit steps out into the street, frowning that someone took the kid before him. The frown deepens when he calls for Tenko Shimura, and the kid just cries harder, leading Aizawa to look back, activate erasure, and start running

4- Aizawa doesn't go to UA, he knows it's clear from his uniform where he would. It's also clear from the chaos behind him that erupts as soon as his stinging eyes blink shut that whoever that is, he's a villain and bad news. Instead, he hides and calls Oboro, then hangs up when he hears Oboro isn't at school, then calls Hizashi, who is. "Tell sensei a villain tried to kidnap a five year old and is currently after both of us." Then he hangs up, and calls the police.

5- Aizawa keeps moving and hiding with Tenko, trying to stay away from the apparently very powerful villain, but is really only saved by All Might appearing and AfO making the choice to leave because he did not want to ensure All Might actually finds Tenko first- after all, he can get the kid later from UA, and the absolutely fascinating quirk of the boy who grabbed him too.

AfO does not predict that as soon as Recovery Girl hears Tenko's name, she calls Gran Torino and has him race to UA right away. Initially he was only going to take and hide Tenko, but Tenko refused to leave without his hero Aizawa, and Gran agreed that he had made himself a target of AfO too. Aizawa, who is again, like fifteen years old, is very put out by this but at this point, he's stuck with them so.

MY ERASERCLOUD STORY

I literally one day in August sent @shabby-blog a discord message like "I suddenly need to write Erasercloud" and of course they encouraged me to do so. And I got up to where Hizashi and Oboro talked within two days and then was just like 'well I'll get back to that eventually'

For the record I love basically any ship that comes from the rooftop gang. And I'm always in my erasermic agenda. But writing an Erasercloud story where Oboro not only lives but Shouta saved his life? Perfect.

My absolute favorite thing with writing this one was that it was just fun. There wasn't any real conflict, it was simply Oboro doesn't know how to tell Shouta he's totally into him, without him realizing that if he tells Shouta he'll learn those feelings are returned. And writing the fucking banter between these characters is SO MUCH FUN. Nemuri's 'DOEST THOU LIKE HIM' text. "You were my brother, Anakin, I loved you." "That's the worst thing I've ever tasted, and I've eaten dirt." Shouta showing up at Oboro's house at 2 in the morning in hello kitty pajamas because he probably spent hours awake thinking about his not date with Oboro. Oh. And the bonus of "what orientation? How was your date?"

Like I think you can really tell I had a lot of fun with this one. It's not 100% perfect, and I had to go back and edit a line or two since posting it, but it's fun and it's cute.

Also Shouta saving Oboro's life, that being what makes Shouta realize he likes Oboro, and then Shouta being weird as he agonizes over this and compartmentalizes it for a week is so fucking great. Shouta.exe stopped working and the solution was to bury that feeling until Oboro starts acting out of character and then confront him about it.

It was very fun not writing a sad story, like Mic's Bullshit Life is obviously happy ending, but to write a quick one shot that the only "sad" is Oboro being like "guess I'll die alone" as a joke was great.

red mage: so basically arya should be a thaumaturge or black mage. she's really really good at the destructive magic and terrible at the restorative magics. why find equilibrium when you can min max and be a nuke.

given x'rhun's history in the ala mhigo im disappointed the 60-70 storyline isn't going there, ah well time to see what idyllshire has in store.

I was just thinking at the end of the level 60 quest if X'ruhn is in his 40s then lambert probably is too and arya looks to be a teenager, wouldn't it be be messed up is she was his daughter or something. the only reason i didn't quite believe it is because lambert said he's been in a magical coma for many years.

fake memories? artificial humans? many possibilities.

i think its pretty interesting that despite its reputation it is not black magic that is the successor to void magic, it is red magic. and this is despite both black and void magic originating from mhach.

irony that the swashbuckling aesthetic class ends up being the demon summoning dark magic storyline.

2nd? 3rd? time the game has said the doman rebellion was 1 year ago. the other time I remember off the top my head was right after doma castle when you talk to the blacksmith.

I feel so sorry for Akagi. we sent him on a goose chase to the literal opposite side of the planet.

Why is Karasu so focused on Oboro. he cares more about messing with him than literally anything else.

oh that's interesting. yomei and all the shinobi we have met implied that ninja are from yanxia. but hanzo is saying that its from hingashi. then again all the shinobi we talked to were domans talking about their specific ancestral villages.

I totally do not remember who master sasuke is. and i don't think karasu is dead (again). oh master sasuke is the founder of oboro's village

whm: castrum oriens is an odd name given how it means east but is situated in the WESTERN part of the garlean empire

huh you can tell who is a padjal at birth. i remember reading in encyclopaedia eorzea or something that children only find out they're a padjal when the horn start growing in at like 10-15.

uh sylphie aren't you like 14. letting at 14 year old run the show and keep secrets from the conjurers guild while void sent are running around sounds like a recipe for disaster.

why not relocate both gatty and sanche to gridania. sanche would get better medical treatment, gatty would remain with her mother, there would be more conjurers on hand to deal with voidsent incidents, and there would be padjal on hand to tutor gatty.

the writers did this to keep sylphie's importance to the plot but this is a massive plot hole that e-sumi is having sylphie be gatty's teacher. first because as e-sumi himself said sylphie is still learning as an acolyte herself, she might have powerful instinctual magic but her learned knowledge isn't that good. second she wouldn't know white magic or padjal specific stuff. this is such a bad decision. also sylphie is still a kid has shown to be overwhelmed by the scale of this problem and having to take care of and be responsible for another kid. i guess the excuse is that it's technically the wol who's suppose to be doing the teaching but we all know that the player isn't going to be doing anything.

imagine if oboro actually came back but de-aged as a fifteen year old and has to go to u.a. all over again, and he meets this cute little first year civilian, who absolutely adores resembling his fluffy, cloudy hair to cats!

He runs all the way to UA to finish the day as quick as he can so he can get back to you

That one had highlights such as

- Toshi is furious with his father and goes to the states to avoid committing homicide or getting vaulted

- Oboro is born while he's in the states, and AfO In His Absolute Infinite Wisdom figures he can't let the two brothers stay apart and estranged. So Toshi manages a tiny bit of truce in that he loves his adorable baby brother. He's still furious and AfO should not approach without Oboro to moderate, bc as long as little eyes aren't there to see it, Toshi's fully okay with taking down his father and worrying about adopting his brother after

- Anyway natrually Oboro wants to be a hero, UA happens, he doesn't tell anyone about his brother or father

- And Then He Hecking Dies

- AfO's not happy about the Doctor's expirament getting lose and killing his son, so expect vengeance later

- He brings Oboro back, and his clouds are darker and he needs warping quirks to move at the beginning, working his way up. He's not going to be able to become a hero, and some memories are confused, but AfO takes it as win.

- Toshi takes it badly

- Oboro finds little Tomura and his 'loving kids' instinct kicks in and he basically takes over and AfO loses his little Spit On Nana's Memory BC She Turned My Eldest Against Me plan

- Tomura gets lots of pet kitties and a happy home, Oboro gets physical therapy, Toshi gets to meet with them, and later Izuku does too

- AfO is a salty bastard forever
