Okay okay another idea

Because I love force ghost anikin and Obi-Wan watching Luke and din fall in love with each other and Anikin and Obi-Wan blaming each other for lukes taste in men

Forget of course that grogu can hear them and see them

Grogu thinks it's funny

Luke knows nothing of these conversations

Then one day while Luke and din are spending time with grogu grogu shares the memory of Obi-Wan and Anikin arguing and Luke sits up and goes bright red

Din is of course worried and like what's happening where's the danger

And Luke can't make out an answer and grogu's a mess of giggles

I don't know I just feel like this idea isn't explored enough I love bickering force ghosts anikin and Obi-Wan and the potential for one sided embarrassment till Luke gets his act together is amazing

Oh boy the Force ghosts watching Din and Luke fall in love is such an elite trope.

When Luke breezes his was through the dark troopers Obi-Wan and Anakin are so proud (and excited...being dead is quite boring).

But then he meets Din, and Din takes off his helmet to say goodbye to his son and he and Luke share that LookTM. And Obi is the first to notice. And his internal monologue is just ohnoohnoohnonono.

Then Din moves to Yavin with Luke, mainly to be with Grogu and hide from his responsibilities. But he's "spending a lot of time with Luke..don't you think Obi?"

But THEN comes the sparing.

Now both Obi and Anakin are fully aware of Luke's crush (and falling in love), and the fighting begins.

"This is your fault. You poisoned him with your mando attraction!"

"What mando attraction Anakin don't be ridiculous"

"You were fucking Cody AND Satine!"

"What?? No I was IN LOVE with them!"

"Yeah and now my poor son is following in your terrible footsteps!"

Grogu watches this exchange like a tennis match.

Luke starts complimenting Din on his parenting and what a wonderful father he is with the biggest heart eyes. The yearning can be felt through the Force.

"This is 100% your fault Anakin! If you hadn't turned dark and forced Luke to grow up without a father this would never have happened!"

"What?. That makes no sense!"

"You can see his daddy issues from deep space!"

"Well if you hadn't dismembered me then I wouldn't have had to wear a helmet!"

"Oh now you're blaming the helmeted daddy issues on ME?"

Grogu has no idea what daddy issues means so he shares the memory of the conversation between Obi qnd Anakin with Luke at breakfast....

Luke goes BRIGHT RED and spends 10 mins trying to recover and stop choking on his food. While Din pats him on the back, all concerned and caring (which is not helping the blushing situation).

Luke kind of runs away to go meditate, but ends up talking to the ghosts and being super embarrassed but also upset because 'if you guys know, and you're dead, then he definitely knows and doesn't feel the same...I was stupid to think he could ever want me.'

Din, who was worried about Luke goes to find him and overhears the conversation (well Luke's side of it anyway) and rushes in to confess to Luke.

They kiss. Its cute at first but then turns a little heated and Obi and Anakin are like THATS ENOUGH OF THAT (The only time they're in agreement in the DinLuke debacle)
