fucked up and crying when i remembered you saying something about aimilios missing dusknoir post-betrayal because it's just. argh.

aimilios just constantly holding onto any semblance of a happy memory he had with dusk and trying so hard in his tiny little hard to believe that dusknoir still cares, that the same hands that could have crushed him effortlessly are the ones that could lift him up so high with pride because the one that possesses them feels *proud* and *happy* to know aimilios, him just going by places where the two or the three of them would hang out by and feel a tug in his stomach because all thats left in them now is an everlasting tall shadow in the shape of a father and one that aimilios refuses to look at directly, him keeping all those thoughts about wishing he'd genuinely come back away from ribbons because he knows *exactly* what she feels about dusknoir (even if it's in a similar aspect of grief, with the difference being pure rage as opposed to sadness) and what she'll say about it and how she'll see him, and not choosing to say anything because he already lost dusknoir because he couldn't keep his little mouth shut and he cannot bear to do have that happen again, and eventually seeing drowzee make it up to marill and azurill and feeling genuinely sorry for what he had done and aimilios feeling so jealous and betrayed because he knows he will (at the time) never get that kind of apologetic gesture from dusknoir ever again, and this is something he will have to deal with on his own.
