So, I think I understand what Pump and Susie's parents are like in the opposite AU

while in the original the parents love them but are not present because of work, in the opposite AU the parents are present but do not care about their children... Did I get it right?

yeah! I'd say so

I wouldn't say their parents don't love them, they're just too present, at least in Pump's life. They're very overbearing and smothering

You could make an argument that they care about Pump's career as a child star then they care about Pump himself

They do love their children, they just love the fame more
