You can't escape the guilt and grief of not realising what you had until it's walking away from you. Your love for that person was always there, but by the time you accepted it, that person quietly left and you couldn't stop them. Now all you can do it crawl after them on your bloody hands and knees and press your forehead to their knuckles and beg for forgiveness, for a second chance, for them to love you again for even a single second more.
