I Wanna See Your Animal Side
Summary: This is a very important time in every young adult's life. It's time to find out what type of were-creature you are! But you won't have to go through it alone, when you have your best friend with you.
Pairing: Patrick Stump X Wentz Sibling!Reader
Pronouns used: None!
Word count:1143
It was April 26th, the day before your birthday, and tonight was the night. You were going to find out what animal you were. You were a little nervous. Finding out what animal you were would determine how people would look at you, what kind of jobs you would get, and most importantly it’s the thing that represents you as a person.
On a person’s 20th birthday, at 12 AM, they would go through a transformation to figure out what kind of were-creature they were. What animal a person turns into can’t be predicted, not even genetically. Your mom was a gazelle, your dad was a panther, and your older brother, Pete, was a rabbit. There almost seemed no rhyme or reason to it, which made it all the more nerve racking. You had seen before how getting an undesirable animal could mess up your life. You knew a few couples who broke up when one of them transformed into a mouse and the other was a cat. And not to mention the dozens of stories of families getting torn apart when one of the children is a black sheep in a house of wolves. But your parents always made sure to let you know that no matter what you turned out to be, that they would still love you and that everything would work out.
It wasn’t all too bad because you weren’t going to transform by yourself. It just so happened that you and your best friend were born on the same day. Patrick was the best friend anyone could ask for. He always understood you and was always there for you. When he and Pete had started a band together it was like Patrick had become another member of the family. He was always over for band practice, sleeping over, and eating dinner with the family. Hell, he practically lived there.
You had made plans with Patrick to be together when you transformed. Your family had originally wanted to have dinner together when it happened, but you convinced them to let you two have a private transformation together.
Around 11 PM Patrick showed up to your house and you both climbed onto your roof and watched the stars as you waited for midnight.
“What do you think you’ll turn into?” You ask him.
“I don’t know.” He said with a shrug, staring off into the sky.
You roll your eyes at his answer, “Well, what are you hoping to turn into?”
“I don’t know. Pete’s is pretty cool, so I think a rabbit would be neat, he’s always half shifting and doing these cool jumps and flips on stage. And Andy’s a kangaroo, so he naturally has a more defined muscle structure because of it so that must be pretty cool. But I don't really know what I would want to be.” He says, “What about you?”
You cringe slightly at the thought of your future. “I don’t give it much thought, really. It makes me nervous. Like, what if we are complete opposites or our animals are predators and pray?”
Patrick frowns for a minute as he thinks about what you said. “I don’t think it will matter. I think that whatever happens we're going to stick together and we’re going to make the most of it.” Patrick turns to you with a soft smile as he places his hand on top of yours, giving it a light squeeze.
You try to smile back, but are on the verge of fighting back tears. You quickly look away, pulling your hand from Patrick as you do.
Patrick places a hand on your back, quickly trying to comfort you, “Hey, what's wrong? It’s going to be ok, I know you’re worried, but it’s going to be fine.”
Trying to fight back tears, you turn back to Patrick. “But what if it's not ok? What if after tonight you decide that you can’t be around me anymore? Everyone always says they’re going to stick together after they transform, but in the end they always end up ditching each other.”
Patrick places a gentle hand on your chin, tilting your head so you can look him in the eyes. “Y/N, that’s not going to happen to us. Because I care about you so deeply and I don’t want anyone else to be by my side. Even if you turn out to be a boa constrictor and I'm a rat, I would never leave you. Because… I’m in love with you, Y/N.” Before you even have time to process the confession, Patrick has leaned down and placed his lips on your, leaving your face burning brighter than ever before.
Just as he pulls away, the alarm on your phone goes off, signaling that it is a minute till midnight. You reach over and grab Patrick's hand, looking him in the eyes.
“Patrick, I love you too.” Just as the words leave your mouth, there is a glowing orange light that radiates from Patrick. So bright in fact that you must close your eyes. When your eyes reopen you are staring directly in the face of a massive grizzly bear. Realizing that the bear before you is in fact Patrick, you begin to look each other up and down before looking down at yourselves.
“Ok, Fur, so not a snake.” You think as you examine yourself. You lift your hand towards your face to examine what kind of hands you even have. “Paws. Big paws at that.” you think again. Looking back you see a long bushy tail. You’re a Wolf! A really big wolf, like a timber wolf or something!
You channel the energy from within you and transform back into your human form, Patrick doing the same. You hug Patrick with your arms wrapped over his shoulders as he wraps his arms around your waist.
“Trick, I'm a wolf!”
“I know!”
“And you’re a bear!”
Patrick laughs, “I know!”
Filled with joy, you stand on your tiptoes to kiss Patrick on the lips, instantly calming you both down. “And I love you.” you say.
“I heard you for the first time.” He says, with the sweetest smile on his face.
“And I love you too.”
Bonus!:
~ 5 Months later, on August 31st, 5 minutes before midnight ~
You stand with Pete, Andy, and your boyfriend, Patrick, as you all give support to Joe, who is about to transform for the first time.
Joe is standing in the middle of his backyard, his shirt is off and he is screaming at the moon.
“Well, he’s… excited?” you say, huddled next to Patrick.
“Yeah… yeah, he is.”
Before you know it, a bright red aura pulses from Joe. You and the others shield your eyes aways from the nearly blinding light. When you look back, that's when you see what he was.
A Racoon.

"Are you nervous?" Keigo whispered to you, pulling you into a tight embrace as he greeted you at the front door of the lobby.
"A bit..." you mumbled burying your face into his neck, making him feel ticklish.
"It's going to be alright... I promise." He kissed the top of your head, rubbing your back.
As much as you wanted to this moment to last you both pulled away. He gave you a soft smile and held his hand out to interlace your fingers together.
You gave him a faint smile as you took his hand and walked to the elevator in silence. Keigo knew your mind was racing with thoughts he could not control, but remembered to give you time to recollect yourself. So he did what he knew would let you know that he was right beside you.
He kissed your forehead and moved his thumb across the top of your hand. You reciprocated by laying your head on his shoulder as you watched the numbers going higher on the elevator door.
Keigo broke the silence, "Where they right behind you?"
"Mio needed to get a couple of things she had forgotten and saw she would walk with Hizashi." You answered, "But I know she actually needed a moment."
"It's understandable... try to see it from their point of view." He slightly moved his head to look down at you. "It was not the right way for them to find out but they did and it wasa big surprise."
"I know," you mumbled. "I understand... I do."
"If you are thinking that they will be the same as your sister you are wrong." His hand moved to hold the side of your face, "Mio and Hizashi care about you deeply... they're good people."
You gave him a small nod. The sound of the doors opening caught your attention, you both walked out of the elevator and into your home. It felt like you could finally breathe once more.
"Should we get something out to drink?" He asked walking over to the fridge.
"I think water will be fine."
It did not give you much time since a minute later, there was the intercom going off.
"Hey, we're here (name)." Mio said. "Can you let us in?"
Keigo gave you a reassuring nod, you got off the stool and walked towards the door. Taking a deep breath you pressed the button then heard a buzzing sound. Not a moment later both Mio and Hizashi walked inside.
Mio's eyes wandered around your home as soon as she stepped inside. They slightly widened seeing how spacious your home was.
Hizashi on the other hand gave you a small smile and then looked over at Keigo.
"We can talk over there on the couch if you'd like..." you suggested looking at them both.
"Ok." She said and followed you to the open living room.
Keigo then walked out of the kitchen with a tray filled with glasses of water. The four of you sat down, Keigo next to you while Hizashi and Mio sat opposite of you two.
"You... guys have a beautiful home." Mio said, trying to break the ice.
"Thank you," Keigo responded. "I wasn't quite sure I liked it at first since I was the only one here, but now it's growing on me."
"Is it because of (name)?" Hizashi asked taking his glass of water.
"Yeah," he sincerely spoke taking your hand into his own. "(Name) was the person I needed in my life to brighten it up. At first I wasn't used to having someone waiting for me at home but then the more we shared the same space together and saw each other in the mornings it became something I looked forward to everyday."
"How- I mean why did you two decide to get married like this?..." Mio questioned.
"I think it's best if we start from the beginning," you answered holding onto your husband's hand tightly.
Your family had owned a business since you were in middle school. The idea had popped up suddenly into your parents minds, seeing they needed another income to support you in the future. Of course you and Himiko were very against it, saying you'd both get jobs if it came to going abroad or attending one in Tokyo.
But they still said they wanted to own a family business and be their own boss instead. You were all for it if that was their reason. The business was such a good investment, things were looking up and you even helped them during the summer.
Unfortunately when you graduated from high school and your sister left to expand her career in another country, the business had started to slow down. The friend that your parents had bought it from ended up retiring and moving to another part of the country.
Then the new owner started to come by asked for a paying fee. Your parents tried calling their friend but he never answered once. And that didn't stop him from coming by each month, and every time they said no he would get angry.
Until one day, he stopped showing up all together.
"Any signs of them showing up?" Your mom asked as she peered out the window looking for him.
Peeling the potatoes you shook your head. "I talked to the other neighbors and they said they haven't heard a word from them."
"I see..." She mumbled.
"Have you seen dad?" You asked.
"I saw he went down to the restaurant."
Once you were done peeling the potatoes you started to cut them up into pieces to put them into the pan to fry them.
"Have you talked with Hizashi?" Your mom picked up the knife and started to chop the cilantro.
"We talk everyday, mom." Turning on the stove you put in the oil.
"I meant that have you seen the way he looks at you?"
"We are friends, that is all." You said dismissing her comment.
"I just think he is a great person... and he would be a good addition to have in your personal life."
"Right now the last thing on my mind is being in a relationship."
She stopped her movement to turn and look at you. "Why? You are young you should be going on dates, dear."
"I'm still trying to look for a good place to live... my focus right now is to enjoy teaching my students and help them."
"That doesn't mean you shouldn't prioritize yourself too."
Sighing you shook your head, "I'll prioritize myself once this situation is truly over."
Loud voices interrupted your conversation, you could hear their muffled voices coming down from the wooden floor.
"What's going on?..." She asked.
"I-I'm not sure," you answered. "Stay here... I'm going to go and check."
"No, wait-" Your mom held onto your wrist, stopping you in place. "We should call the police."
"I have a feeling they're not someone we should involve the police with mom. It might make things worse."
"But we can't go down and deal with them ourselves."
"We won't have to, okay? I'll make sure." You reassured her. "Stay here and if things do escalate even more then call the police."
Your mother hesitated on letting you go but she complied and watched as you left, she silently prayed that things would be okay.
When you got down to the restaurant you slowly walked inside. It broke your heart seeing your father beaten and bruised on the ground. One of the men had their foot pressed down on top of your father's back.
"I don't see why that idiot can't show his face around here." One of them spoke, "He's the one that wants the money."
"We agreed to the job and we are getting paid for it." He responded.
"The food here looks good." The tall one spoke, looking through menu.
"We're not here to eat." The leader looked down at your dad, "Quit moving!"
"I can't believe people like you exist." You spoke loking down at each and every one of them.
He smirked, leaning forward and resting his elbows on each knee. "Well and who could you be darling?"
"Don't give me a pet name, scar face."
His smirk disappeared, "Who the hell are you?"
"That's none of your concern." You answered, "I can't believe you are acting like cowards threatening and beating up an innocent human being."
"I'm only doing my fucking job that I was assigned to do." He stood up, walking over to you. The last thing you thought about was his height. "Not like you can do anything about it."
You nervously swallowed, the way he intimidated you by towering over your figure was uncalled for.
"What?" He broke out into a wicked smile, swiping his tongue across his front teeth. "Cat got your tongue, little mouse?" Using his weight he shoved you back, making your body stagger.
It angered you seeing how much pain your dad was and you not being able to do anything about it.
"Stop it."
"I'd like to see you try."
Your hand formed into a tight fist, your eyes glaring at him. "Let my father go."
"I'm not letting your daddy go, and he won't be the only one to come with us." He stated, "The boss wants to see your mother too."
Your eyes widened but then they lowered. "I won't let you lay on a finger on my father or my mother, you prick!"
He clenched his jaw tightly and lifted his arm up to swing at you, making you flinch. " You damn annoying b-!"
The hit never came, there was no pain.
Looking up you saw an arm extended, it held the thugs wrist tightly and twisting it.
"She said to move away from her father." A voice spoke, "What? Did you not understand?"
You looked over your shoulder to see a hero standing there. It wasn't any hero, he was the most loved and currently ranked as the number two in Japan.
The winged hero stood next to you as he looked down upon the group of thugs. But his eyes were piercing with anger as they narrowed down at the groups leader, seeing your father in pain.
"I'm assuming your the leader?"
"What's it to you bird brain?!"
"Look all I wanted was to come down and enjoy a good meal from a restaurant that is so well talked about." Hawks said, "If you're going to fight then let's get it over with already."
"What makes you think we're going to fight you? I have no business with you hero, so scram away."
"So you're all talk but no action when someone more powerful comes your way." His wings then opened wide, "All I can see is a coward hiding behind his groupie's shadows."
The leader pressed his tongue behind his teeth, smiling sarcastically. "You really should mind your own damn business."
Without a warning all of them started to charge towards Hawks. Yet again, you were surprised to see how cool and calm he looked while they swung at him with those bats.
Red feathers then started to move towards their direction, somehow they looked sharper than when they're resting on his wings. Hawks stood in the middle, his feathers keeping the thugs in place.
Slowly he walked forward, his eyes not blinking as his stare became intense. Once he was close enough, he took a long sharp feather out from behind his back and pointed at the leader's neck.
"This is what's going to happen." Hawks stated, "You're going to let this innocent man go."
"But-!"
"I wasn't finished."
The leader immediately closed his mouth not wanting to test Hawk's patience.
"You're going to let them go and stop showing your face around here." He ordered, "You are not going to come back and threatened the business around here including this one. I'll be paying back the debt they owe you and that will be the end of it."
One of the thugs walked over to where your dad was and helped him up. Immediately you ran over to his side and held onto him. Your dad gave you a small smile, as you guided him over to an empty chair and sat him down.
"Understood?"
"Y-yes!"
"Good, if you show your face around here again I won't hesitate to get you arrested. I have all the information I need to throw you in jail."
"W-we should go," the tall one spoke.
The leader nodded not taking his eyes off of him and got up. His group members followed him as well, slowly but surely retreating away from the restaurant.
As soon as they were gone you breathed out a sigh of relief, knowing now you were safe.
"Are you alright?" Hawks asked as he looked at your father. "I can get you to a hospital-"
Your dad waved his hand, "No no... I'll be fine. I-it's just a few bruises, they should go away with some medicine."
"I can take you right away really it's not a problem-"
"You are already did too much for us, I'm grateful you showed up." He sincerely spoke, "I will make sure to pay that money back to you-"
Hawks shook his head, "You have a family that is going to need that money more than I will."
"Kenji!" Your mom yelled as she ran towards your father with falling tears. "Y-you're injured! We need to get you to a hospital-"
"I'm okay."
"You're not okay!" She said, "We need to take you to a doctor-"
"Hana, I am fine." Your dad held your mom's face in his hands, wiping away her tears gently with his thumbs. "I just need to take a pill for the pain and rest."
"I-I thought... I had lost you..."
"I'm not going anywhere, I haven't for 26 years and I won't now."
Hawks watched as you wiped away your tears seeing your parents comforting one another. He quietly walked over to you.
"Are you okay? They didn't hurt you too did they?"
You looked away, "N-no... I'm okay."
"Good I'm glad to know you are okay."
"Mr. Hawks... you really don't need to pay off our debt." You said, "W-We are very thankful for you being able to scare them away."
"In all honesty I have too much money in my life." He said, "I don't have anyone else to share it with. If it means you and your family are safe then I don't really care how much the debt is."
"You are too kind..."
"You have people in your life that you want to protect." He looked at your parents with a faint smile, "I wouldn't be able to forgive myself if something were to have happened knowing I could have prevented it."
"Villains are sometimes difficult to control... it isn't always the heroes fault."
"Still," Hawks turned to look at you. "I'm happy to pay it off. Your folks seem like great people, they deserve to keep running this buisness alongside their daughter."
"Mr. Hawks." Your mom called out to him, "You really don't have to pay off the debt-"
He interrupted her, "Like I told your daughter... I have too much money that I don't really use. If it means your family is safe and away from harm's way then I'll be happy to pay it off."
"It's very generous but... w-we don't have anything to offer you in return."
It was true. Your family was in the low class income, given that you have managed to bring in more money, you really did not have much in exchange for his generosity.
"In all honesty I have too much money in my life. I don't have anyone else to share it with. If it means you and your family are safe then I don't really care how much the debt is."
"What if you marry me?" You said making everyone look at you in surprise, especially Hawks.
"(name)!" Your parents exclaimed.
"I... uh you don't need to g-go that far." He said, flustered by your idea.
"I-I mean you did say you did not have anyone in your life to share it with so why not get married?" You explained, "Of course we don't have to act like a marrried couple!' Your cheeks turned red, "W-we can just act like two friends living together.. sharing a house and stuff."
Hawks body relaxed, "You are helping your parents out (name)... I do not want to take you away from them and plus I'm sure you have your whole life here."
"Well I actually only come by during the summer to help them out. I'm currently teaching at a school in a different city."
"What city?"
"The same city that your agency is in."
"Y-you're living in Fukuoka, Kyushu?..."
You nodded, "I went there a few months ago looking for a teaching job. I am in the process of finding a place to move to from my friend's house."
It did sound nice to have someone to come home to. All his life he's been a lone, even surrounded with friends he felt as though he was missing a piece in his life. However he knew the risks that would come if he did get married.
You noticed how quiet he was, "Is everything okay?"
He let out a soft sigh, "The only thing is that if we do get married... we can't just disclose that information to anyone or everyone."
"Are you going to feel ashamed-?"
"No, of course not. How can I explain this?..." He looked away for a second trying to find a way he could put it into words. "With what occurred in the last battle against the villains... your safety is going to be the number one priority. We still are trying to find the last members of the league... so until we are sure that they are under arrest it'll be best if we keep contact to a minimal in public."
"So pretend that... you two don't know each other?..." Your mom looked at him confused.
"I know it sounds rude and t-trust me I would like to go out in public places with your daughter but with villains targeting me, I don't want to put you both and her in danger."
Your dad looked at you with worried eyes, his stare silently communicating all his anxious thoughts.
"You don't have to do this," he took both your hands into his own, gently squeezing them. "I know dad but trust me... I want to. Until the debt is paid I'll be with him."
"Are you sure? You know it is dangerous."
"I have the number two pro hero taking care of me." You gave him a soft smile, "I trust that I will be safe with him, dad. Who knows," Turning your head you looked at Hawks. "This marriage might change us both for the better."
He tried his best to look calm but his wings started to flutter up and down, making it obvious about how he felt.
"She's not my only daughter but I want you to protect her please." Your dad spoke, "I want to see her happy, and if things do not turn out okay... can I rely on you bringing her back to me with no pain or regret?"
Hawks stepped forward, standing next to you. "I promise "I will protect her to make sure she comes back."
Your mom smiled at the both of you, "I guess it will be a quick wedding then. Should I call your sister-"
"No... I think it'll be best to let her know when she comes by to visit."
"Alright, I understand."
"When will the wedding take place?" Your dad asked.
"I'll make sure to arrange it in Kyushu if that is alright?" Your both parents nodded. "I have a small mission to go to in a few days, I will most likely let you know when I come back. In the meantime you can start packing anything you'd might need to bring to my house."
It was a bit overwhelming, now that you were thinking about it. But if it meant that the debt was paid and they were safe then it was worth the sacrifice.
"I'll make sure to do that then, have a safe mission okay?"
Even then you had already started to worry about him, a stranger who had happened to be at the right place at the right time.
Hizashi and Mio sat quietly, looking down at their hands as they tried to adborb the information you had given them.
"Please don't think I did not trust you enough to tell you," You said breaking the ice. "If something had gone wrong I did not want anything bad happening to you both."
"Do you guys... even have feelings for each other?..." Mio questionably looked at you two. "This marriage was built upon a deal after all."
You were about to answer her question when Keigo beat you to it.
"I'll admit- and this might sound selfish," he took a moment to gather his thoughts then spoke. "At first I honestly did not feel anything for (name). Upon meeting her for the first time I thought she was brave for trying to fight against those thugs that had her dad. She seemed like someone you could depend on and ask for help if you needed it."
He used his other hand and placed it on top of yours, swiping his thumb back and forth across your skin gently.
"She caught me by surprise when she suggested that we'd get married. Yet the longer I thought about it... I realized it wasn't as crazy as it sounds. I had been alone almost my whole life, I thought why not and invite someone into my home and see what happens. And I was right... she blew me away in ways I never expected. She added color into my life and made me understand what it meant having someone by your side." A smile started to form on his lips, along with a soft chuckle. "That day I got back home beaten up from a run in with some villains, she was there still awake waiting for me to come back home. And all she was doing was sleeping, but even then it gave me a sense of belonging, being cared for in a way I never had in my life.
Keigo looked at Mio and then at Hizashi, "I knew since that moment that I cared about her. I wanted to do anything and everything in my life to make sure she was okay. So yes I did not expect to catch feelings for this magnificent human being but I did and I'm glad that I agreed."
Silence fell in the room, you were both in shock and overwhelmed with his beautiful words. While your friends came to the realization that this marriage was starting to become real.
Mio grabbed the glass of water, "I was expecting something simple and short but you exceeded my expectations."
"I don't truly understand what went through your minds when you agreed. I thought this marriage you had talked about that it would not last till the end." Hizashi said, "But now I see that I was wrong. If he is making you happy and you are really happy then I can't say or do anything."
"What he means is that... we are with you and we wish you both happiness. I hope this marriage you are starting to really build lasts long because you deserve it."
"Mio..." With tears in your eyes you got up and hugged her tightly. You buried your face into her shoulder, muttering an apology. "I'm sorry I couldn't tell you earlier."
"I understand why, it isn't something you can shout out into the world." She rubbed your back up and down, smiling. "I'm just glad you finally told me. I meant it when I said that I'm here for you, okay?"
You let the tears fall knowing she was referring to your sister for the way she had treated you.
"Thank you, Mio."
"(name) is special, you know that right?" Hizashi said looking at him as he sipped on his glass of water.
"I do." Keigo answered watching from afar as you and Mio talked happily.
"Then I expect you to not make her cry or break her heart."
I knew this was going to happen.
"I don't plan to," he said. "I made a promise to her parents and I will keep it."
"Good... cause her parents aren't the only one who you'll have to deal with Hawks."
"You still have feelings for her don't you, Hizashi?" Keigo asked leaning back against counter.
"(name) only sees me as a friend, she always has." He answered. "But even then I still had hope that she would change her mind but then she announced she was married. So, I backed off."
With a clenched jaw, Keigo narrowed his eyes at him. "What are you trying to say?"
Hizashi shrugged. "I care about her and I want to see her happy so I hope you don't end up being a regret to her."
Keigo parted his lips to speak but he walked away before he able to have the last word. He knew, Hizashi was close to you and you only saw him as a friend. Even then the jealousy that was started to run through his veins as he hugged you, grew.
"Keigo!" you exclaimed quickly going over to him and pulled him into a tight hug.
His demeanor quickly changed, "Hey beautiful." his arms wrapping themselves around your waist tightly.
"Hizashi suggested if we could have a little dinner just the four of us to celebrate."
"That sounds good." He smiled kissing your face, making you break out into laughter grabbing Hizashi's attention.

Random 141 blurb.
Used a random word generator, came up with the word "piano," so we're gonna try something with that.
Warnings: none, fluff, ok, maybe some swearing, but that's about it. And some vague mentions of nightmares and rude people
Gn! Reader x 141 with mentions of Konig, Rudy, and Alejandro
Price would definitely seek you out after filling out paperwork, or after having to meet with higher ups. He'd come in, sit on the chair in the corner, take off his hat, close his eyes, and just be. He used to smoke his cigars to de-stress, but after hearing you play the piano that you somehow (Laswell) got onto base, he changed his ways, now smoking is a on the field activity only, and he would NEVER bring them around your piano.
Gaz definitely has an appreciation for your skill, he finds himself listening to you, no matter what he's doing, as soon as he hears the sound of soft notes wafting through the barracks, he's dropping everything just to get front row seat, well, the seat being a cushion on the floor slightly behind you and to the side. You cannot convince me that this fine man didn't grow up with family that played instruments all the time. Definitely hushes anyone who attempts to interrupt you while your playing. He finds it soothing when you're playing older music, and finds that, especially after he hears the whispers and snide comments about his age, and the 141's favoritism with him, that the music washes all that negativity away.
Soap is almost always the one racing Gaz for that floor seat, he wants to be close. He can be chaotic and pretty hyper, but that just makes it hard for him to calm down for the night, so he's always grateful when you play some soft music, sometimes, you play some lullabies for him, knowing he's having a really hard time calming down some days. He's definitely the one who brings in blankets and pillows, among other things, to the room for the team, to help them relax. Gaz joked around once and called him a bird, both (playfully) mocking his haircut, and the fact that it feels like he's making the 141 lounge into a giant nest, not that any of them mind it. Quite the opposite actually, they're all super grateful for it, they have a safe space to just relax.
Ghost is the one that is always getting you to play, surprising enough. When nights get too hard, when he wakes up from nightmares, when new recruits whisper about him, when a mission goes south, when he loses himself, he comes to you, and in a voice barely audible, he asks for a song. One to drown out his demons, to soothe his soul, to hold him together, to reassure him that he's ok. He has a specific spot he takes, he has a small mat he lays on, right underneath the piano, where the sound is the richest, but also where no one can see the mess he is, where no one will see the broken Simon, the one who hates how that mask feels. When it's late at night, and you've found him under the piano when everyone else is (supposed to be) sleeping, you sit down and play whatever he wants, most times, he's asking for lullabies, like Soap, they help him relax.
But once you've started playing for Ghost, the rest join quickly, and all of you end up sleeping in the lounge. When Alejandro and Rudy are in the area, or when Konig starts talking with the others, they join in immediately. Turning it into a relaxing family time. Because that's what they are, they're all family. They may not be related by blood, they may not have much in common, or similar tastes, but they have each other, their chosen family, which is stronger than anything.
They help you with upkeep, hiring a tuner to come in and do upkeep once every 2-4 months, depending on how much you've used it. They make sure to treat you well at the same time, massaging your hands and wrists, and your feet and ankles, sore from all the playing.
Yeah. This is your family, and you wouldn't have it any other way.
End.
Sorry for the rambling post, like I said, I wanted to write, and used a random word, to come up with some fluff for yall!!!!!

[Previous chapter] - [Next chapter]
Part 7
You knock on the hotel door twice, firmly. Wanda opened the door swiftly. She had been waiting. You were grinning as you entered the room and all kinds of thoughts were running through her head.
"What happened?"
She follows you over to the beds and watches as you sit down, scrambling to take off your shoes and sit back against the headboard. She got comfortable on her own bed again, having been sat there watching TV while she waited for you.
"We kissed."
The squeal that she made did not sound even remotely human. There was a huge grin on her face as she leaned forward. Wanda to hear every detail.
"What happened? Tell me!"
"Well, we got to The Iron Grill. Helmut was a perfect gentleman, pulling out my seat for me. Stark made a speech that I couldn't care less about, and then out cane the food. It was a taste testing session, basically."
"Taste testing?"
"Yeah, their were samples of every main course meal on his menu. We're talking about two dozen tables each sampling the same things. Then he brought out deserts for us to pick from. Helmut and I chose one each and sampled each others deserts just to try. Honestly, the sweets were the best part. The menu was otherwise standard and not all that interesting."
"Then there can't possibly be anything to worry about," she tilts her head at you.
"Well, about that..."
Her brow furrows as she looks at you. A sudden dread filled her as she waited for your words. Something was very early wrong here.
"Tony Stark had us back at the end when it was all over. He wanted to buy Escorpión Morado from Helmut, claiming he might as well do it now before it fails. He said he would buy it anyway, renovate it to accompany The Iron Grill."
"What? The audacity of that man! What did Zemo do?"
"Well, he got angry, of course! The biggest insult that could be offered was just spoken. You can't just buy Helmut's family business and think that's OK! I stepped in before Stark could any more damage, I defended Helmut ad his restaurant. Then we left. Helmut pulled me to the side and looked at me like I was the only other person in the world. He kissed me and told me to stay
"He is so in love with you."
You chuckle softly.
"What are you going to do?"
You look Wanda on the eye, smiling.
"I'm going to stay."
She leaps off the bed and collides into you, arms wrapping around you as you both both laugh. Wanda is so happy for you. She's so proud of you.
The next morning, over breakfast, Wanda tells you about some of the places she had found for you. She has meant it when she said she would look for somewhere for you.
You were glad she did.
You spent most of the day looking at the places she had found. It was quite fun looking around the apartments with her.
Lunch time rolled around and of course you both headed to your favourite spot. The doors were open and waiting for you.
Helmut was at the bar, talking to Sam, but they both stopped when they saw someone entering.
Suddenly, no one else mattered. You both looked at each other and smiled. Wanda tries not to make a fuss, but she was ecstatic to see her best friend hopelessly in love with the chef in front of them.
Helmut walks around the bar and comes to stand in front of you.
"Hello."
"Hello."
You both just smile at each. His hands reach out for yours and he brings them to his lips, kissing them both.
Helmut wasn't going to hold back.
"How are you?" You ask, very much aware of the other people in the room watching.
"I'm good, I promise."
"Good."
You lift one hand to the side of his face and caress his cheek softly. He melts into your touch, holding your hand there.
Wanda coughs into her fist.
You both drop your hands and turn to her. Sam also looking rather smug from behind the bar.
"What can I get for you?" Helmut asks, making his way back to Sam's side. Wanda and yourself sit at the bar.
"Surprise us," you say, smiling.
Helmut chuckles and nods. He looks at you for a moment before disappearing into the kitchen.
Wanda and Sam share a look.
Sam fixes you both a drink.
"So, what have you two been up to then?"
"We were looking at apartments," Wanda tells him.
"Apartments? You're thinking of moving here?"
"I am, yeah," you say, smiling down at the counter.
"Zemo really got through to you, didn't he?" He grins.
You glance up at him.
"Yes, he did. I think... I think he needs me, now more than ever. His pride and joy is being threatened and we have to do something to save it."
"No wonder he's so in love with you," Sam chuckles.
The more they say it, the more embarrassing it becomes, but also, the more true it feels.
Helmut returns with two dishes in hand, he places them down in front of you and comes to stand opposite you.
"Enjoy," he whispers, voice a little raspy, and most definitely sexy. Did he do that on purpose?
You glance at him before tucking in.
"Thank you."
As always the food is delicious.
Wanda and Sam end up conversing with each other as you and Helmut get lost in your own conversation. He can see only you when you're in the room.
"Wanda and I were looking at apartments," you tell him.
Helmut's smile seems to grow.
"You're going to stay?"
"Yes."
He leans over the bar and captures your lips in a fierce kiss. You smile into it, no longer caring about Wanda sitting right beside you.
You're so very happy!
"Then don't look any further," Helmut says, pulling away, but not too far away. He wanted to remain close to you.
"Why?"
"Because you could come live with me. I don't live far. My place is big enough for the two of us."
"Are you asking me to move in with you?"
"Only if you're comfortable doing so. I don't mean to move things along so quickly, but I have a spare room you can have."
You glance at Wanda.
She nods rather quickly.
Your eyes meet with Helmut's again and you smile.
"Alright."
Just when he thinks you can't make him any happier, you do. He kisses you again. You're laughing softly as you kiss him back, reaching for his hands that were resting on either side of your face.
"I must be the luckiest man alive."
You chuckle, lowering his hands and smiling at him.
"I would say I'm the lucky one."
"You two are so cute, its sickening," Wanda grins.
Both yourself and Zemo laugh. He stands upright, the distance between you feeling large now.
"I can't believe I'm actually doing this," you say, going back to your unfinished meal.
"I'm glad you are," Zemo smiles.
"I'll make sure they move in quickly," Wanda chimes in.
"Enough about me, what are we going to do about Stark?" You look at Zemo.
"What can I do? He is sure he is going to be a success here and that I will fall. Everything my father created will just fade into nothing and I'll have to go elsewhere. I'll work for Stark when Hell freezes over," he sighs.
"Then, we have to do something big."
"Like what?" Wanda asks, looking at you.
"What if we give Escorpión Morado a make over of our own? Reinvent the menu, have a grand opening of our own. Remind people that this place is here."
Helmut looks at you at so softly.
"You would help me do that?"
"Of course! I need time to become a citizen of Sokovia, but then I'm all yours!" You smile at him.
"All mine?"
"...yes."
If it weren't for Wanda and Sam looking at him, he would kissed you again.
"Then we better get started," Wanda said, pulling out her phone.
"What are you doing?"
"Looking up what we have to do to make you a citizen. You'll move in with tall, dark, and handsome chef over here, work in the beat restaurant in the country, and live happily ever after!" She grins.
"This isn't a fairytale, Wanda," you laugh.
"It's much better than that," Helmut said, looking at you with big soft eyes.
"I'm really doing this."
"Yes, you are."
You smile at him.
For the rest if your stay in Sokovia, you visit the restaurant every day. Helmut shows you where his apartment is, letting you look around. It's very him. Wanda gets all the details you'll need for moving here, and before you know it, you're standing outside the airport with Zemo's arms around you.
"Next time you come back, you'll be here to stay."
"Yes. Just like you asked me to," you say, softly in his ear.
"Don't keep me waiting too long."
"I won't. I'll be back before you know it."
You pull away from one another to look at each other. He has this huge goofy grin on his face as he looks at you.
"I want to tell you something, but I don't know if it's the time to say it," he says, almost whispering.
"What is it?"
He licks his bottom lip, seemingly quite nervous. His eyes flicker between yours, trying to make up his mind on if he should say it or not.
He's going to say it.
"I love you."
You smile.
You kiss him, hands tugging at his collar to bring him to you. His hands settle on you as he kisses you back just as urgently.
"I love you too," you say, breaking away from him.
"We to go!" Wanda calls from behind you.
"I'll see you soon," you tell him.
"I'll be waiting for you!"
You regretfully let go of him and grab your bags. Helmut watches you as you wall with Wanda into the airport. He hates seeing you leave again, but knows that when you come back, you'll be coming back to him, to stay.
You blow a kiss at him before you disappear from sight.
He smiles.
Things feel like they're turning out for the better, and he feels over the moon.

‘i will never, never leave you’ (chapter three)
warnings: none
context: IN WHICH kami gojo, younger sister of certain powerful jujutsu sorcerer, meets an idiot who makes cold barrier around her heart melt.
"Roppongi my ass," laughed Kami, looking at the abandoned old building they were standing in front of.
"There's a curse here," stated Satoru.
"You liar!"
"This isn't even Roppongi!"
"You were toying with us country folk!"
"There's a big cemetery nearby. The double whammy of that and an abandoned building brought out a curse," Satoru said, not taking his eyes off the building.
"So they really do pop up more often around graves?" Itadori asked as Nobara shouted evil in the background.
"The issue isn't the cementery itself," Yuuji's head turned abruptly towards Kami, who finally spoke up and a blush came over his face that he didn't even notice.
But Satoru did.
"It's the fact that people associate cemeteries with fear," Kami explained, totally oblivious.
"Oh, it was the same for schools, too, wasn't it?" Yuuji replied, ignoring the heat that flooded him at the sound of the younger Gojo's soft voice.
"Hold up. He didn't even know that yet?" Nobara asked, approaching from Kami's left.
—
"He swallowed a special-grade cursed object? Gross! Unbelievable! That's so unsanitary and disgusting! No way, no way, no way, no way!"
"This is what I was telling them the whole time," deadpanned Kami, and Nobara grabbed her by the shoulders and looked her straight in the eye.
"They thought otherwise?!" She exclaimed and leaned her head against Kami's shoulder, groaning at the thought of this. Kami patted her lightly on the head, glad that finally someone understood her.
"What?!"
"I agree with them," Fushiguro said.
"I want to know what all of you are capable of. Just think of this as a field test," Satoru finally spoke up. "Nobara, Yuuji, you two go exorcise the curse inside that building."
"Geh!"
"Huh? But I thought only curses could exorcise curses, right?" Asked a confused Yuuji. "I can't use any jujutsu yet."
"You're basically half a curse already. There's cursed energy flowing throughout your body. Though controlling that energy isn't something you can learn overnight," Satoru said and extended his hand towards Kami, who with a sigh pulled a weapon from the strap tied across her waist and handed it to him. "So use this."
"It's the cursed tool, Slaughter Demon. It's a weapon imbued with cursed energy. It'll work on curses, too," Kami explained as Itadori marveled at the weapon in his hand.
"Lame," Nobara said, and she and Itadori headed towards the building.
"Oh one more thing! Don't let Sukuna out! If you use him, you'll get rid of all the curses nearby in a flash, but you'll also drag everyone around into it."
"Got it, I won't let Sukuna out."
—
"I think I'll go, too," Megumi spoke up after a moment of silence.
"Don't push yourself. You're still recovering."
"But someone needs to keep an eye on Itadori, right?"
"True. But the one we're testing this time is Nobara."
"But don't you think leaving her with Itadori is kinda stupid? I mean, he's kinda... reckless," Kami spoke up, playing with her long hair.
"Also true. That Yuuji... He's missing a few up here," the older Gojo said, pointing to his head. "He has no hesitation when it comes to killing these tings that take form of living creatures, albeit bizzare-looking ones, to try to kill him. And it's not like he's been familiar with curses for a long time, like you two. This boy used to live a normal high school life."
'Normal.' What is normal? Did Kami ever experience or will ever experience something 'normal'?
"You've seen plenty of jujutsu sorcerers, even those with talent, give up in frustration because they couldn't conquer their fear or disgust, haven't you?"
'It will probably be me,' Kami thought, listening to what her brother was saying.
"So today I want to confirm how crazy she is."
Silence.
No one said anything, no one dared to say anything. Because what would they have?
Kami played with her fingers out of nervousness. And she didn't know if it was because of how awkward the silence was, or because she was afraid for the two inexperienced jujutsu sorcerers who were about to face the curses alone in an abandoned building. Maybe it was because of both.
'Or more by the second one,' she thought as she saw the curse fly out the window.
"I'll exorcise it,' Megumi said, looking at the curse.
"Hold on."
Not a few seconds passed, and the curse was gone. It had evaporated. There was nothing left of it but a dirty memory.
"Nice."
"She's crazy, all right," Satoru said smiling.
—
"I live over there! Thanks again!" Exclaimed the boy whom Nobara and Itadori had rescued in the building and whom they had just escorted home, making sure he got there safely.
The Gojo siblings waved the boy away, Kami letting out a breath she hadn't even noticed she was holding in. The white-haired girl felt a hand on her shoulder and lifted her gaze to look at her brother, who was grinning at her.
"Are you hungry?" He asked and started to lead them to where three of her classmates were waiting for them.
"A little, I haven't eaten anything all day," Kami said and put her arm through her brother's waist, leaning against him gently.
"Good Joseph!" Shouted Satoru suddenly, directing this to the three waiting on the stairs. "We made sure the kid got home."
Nobara and Itadori sprang to their feet and stood, prepared for the next mission.
"Now shall we go grab some food?"
"Steak!"
"Sushi!"
"Not again," Kami muttered under her breath, and Satoru laughed softly.
"Leave it all to me!" Her brother shouted. "And you, Megumi?"
Megumi didn't answer anything, being too busy playing some game on her phone.
Without waiting for anyone, Satoru put his hands on Itadori and Nobara's shoulders and started walking in the opposite direction, leaving Megumi and Kami alone behind.
'Ouch,' thought Kami as she saw Satoru laughing with Itadori and Nobara.
"Are you coming?" She heard Megumi's voice who smiled gently at her.
Kami reciprocated the gesture and ran to his left, following the rest.
"Oh, I forgot about my biggest haul of the day," Nobara began, walking in front of the rest. " Hey, you," she pointed to Itadori. "Go fetch my stuff."
"Huh? Why should I do it? I thought we were even."
"We won thanks to my cursed energy. Got a problem with that?"
"What about my raw strength?"
"Your monstrous power from eating weird shit?"
"It's not just that! Right, Fushiguro?"
Silence.
"Huh? What's the matter, Fushiguro?"
"Nothing."
"He's pouting because he didn't get to join in," Satoru spoke up.
"What a child!" Nobara said.
Itadori started laughing, definitely happy. After all, he finally had someone to get along with. And when everyone else joined in, it made his heart fill with warmth even more. But not quite. He didn't hear the laughter he most wanted to hear.
He lifted his gaze to Kami, who was staring dead at him, the corners of her mouth not even lifting for a moment. And that made something in his heart hurt.
Satoru wasn't blind either and noticed something was wrong, slowing his step to walk beside Kami.
"Are you okay?" He asked, leaning over her so only she could hear him.
"Why wouldn't I be?" Kami raised an eyebrow.
Satoru watched her closely, observing her every little movement. The way her hands tangled at the back of her body, her fingers playing with themselves. The way her gaze fled everywhere but at anyone beside her. The way you could see her nervously biting her lip and cheeks from the inside. The way she was so tense.
Satoru laughed softly, knowing what's going on and wrapped his long arm around Kami, pulling her close and kissing her gently on the top of her head, a thing he always did when she was sad and a thing that always helped.
This time was no different as Kami closed her eyes, relaxing a bit.
"After all, you know that no one can replace you for me, you're my little sister, no one could do it," Satoru whispered and reached out his little toe, wrapping it around Kami's one, getting at least serious for a moment before returning to his previous state and tickling Kami on her sides where she was most ticklish.
Kami jumped back with a squeal and threw an evil but amused look at her brother, who only winked at her and started laughing, matching Megumi's step.
The little girl's loud laughter rang through the yard behind the house as her older brother tickled her on the ground, laughing along with her. When he finally stopped, the white-haired girl looked at her brother and smiled widely.
"Satoru?"
"Hm?" The white-haired boy replied, falling onto his back next to his little sister and looking at her.
"Will you promise me something?" The girl asked, sitting down on the ground, crossing her petite legs.
Satoru nodded, also sitting down on the ground. The girl giggled softly and extended her hand towards her brother, showing her tiny little finger.
"Promise me you'll never leave me."
Satoru's face fell, and his heart simultaneously hurt and flooded with warmth. Because on one hand, what had it come to that a six year old girl would think anyone would leave her, and on the other hand, this was one of the most adorable scenes he could ever experience.
After a moment of silence, Satoru smiled softly and wrapped his, large compared to his sister's, finger around hers and rested his forehead against Kami's forehead, looking her straight in the eyes.
"I will never, but never leave you. After all, you know that no one can replace you for me, you're my little sister, no one could do it," he said seriously, never letting go of her finger from his as he felt tears coming to his eyes.
He quickly closed his eyelids and pulled his younger version to him, who immediately snuggled into her warm and loving brother.
"I will never, never leave you."
At the mention, Kami's eyes welled up with tears, which she quickly wiped away and pretended everything was ok.
'Then why does it feel like you're distancing yourself from me now? Like you're not proud of me? Like you want to leave me, just like everyone else?'

Pale Fire: Strange Habits
Pairng: Ace x Reader
Series: Modern au of the life of Ace and the reader.
Scenario: Over the last several weeks Ace has been huddling up in your room. It doesn’t help that your feelings for him have been solidified for a while now.
wc: 2.6k
warning: non just fluff and unsure feelings
a/n: It is here! The first part of this series I talked about a few weeks ago. Here a little bit about it if you missed x . This is not in order of events the story all comes together in different peeks into their lives
After another exhausting day at work and checking up on some assignments, you were ready for bed. Your usual bed stealer was already tucked into the cozy corner near the wall. His soft snores were your only indications that he was asleep. How you had ended up in this arrangement, you weren't sure anymore. Though it didn't bother you as the man was a walking heater. So in the dead of winter, you could care less as he kept you extremely warm.
Yawning, you close your laptop and move from your desk, and head towards the bed. Running a hand through your hair, you sit down on the edge of the bed. Leaning forward, you click off the desk lamp until the room is dark.
Crawling under the covers, you sighed happily at the warm feeling surrounding you; it was comforting. Shifting onto your side, you faced the wall where Ace was soundly still asleep.
You could easily make out his figure due to the street lights coming in from outside, making the room visible. He was laying on his stomach, hugging the pillow to his chest as his bareback was exposed to you.
You had known for a while that you had feelings for him, but you were too afraid to say anything to him. Perona had been on you lately about it, especially since Ace had been spending more time sleeping in your bed than his own in the last few weeks.
Why exactly, you weren't sure, but it didn't bother you much. He did love to be around you a lot, and you learned early on that he stripped in his sleep. It was a bit embarrassing at first, but you came to expect it throughout your friendship. Tonight was one of those rare times where he had kept his boxers on.
You smiled fondly at the memories as you continue to stare at the rise and fall of his back. Your eyes shifted downwards to the ink that littered his backside. What once was a skull and crossbones was now half a tattoo and a large amount of scarring. While you knew the story behind it as it happened before you even met the man. The sight of it made you emotional for some reason; Ace didn't like talking about it very much. Not that you blamed him, it was a horrific accident that left him very badly hurt with side effects even today.
The loud snore broke through the silence, making you freeze at the noise. You snorted as Ace's breathing went back to normal as he shifted slightly towards you.
Feeling content, you finally snuggled down into the covers and closed your eyes. Sleep finally overtook you as the day's events caught up with you finally.
Hot.
It was overwhelming and itchy, as if your whole body was on fire and unable to get away from it. Your mind raced as the intensity continued until something hard punctured it making it burst open. Your eyes fly open in a rush as you sit up with a start. Heart racing, you placed a hand on your heated skin to only cringe at the slick wetness that came off of you. Looking down, you noticed your body and T-shirt are soaked with your sweat. Still trying to catch your breath, you stare off into the still dark room.
You couldn't have been asleep for long, but what was that strange feeling you had never felt before. Your eyes finally adjusted again as you turn your head towards Ace. Who had somehow rolled over in his sleep and was now wrapped tightly around your body.
Well, that explains that issue. You supposed the man was still sound asleep as his arms tightened on your waist. The heat that radiated off of him was a lot. His leg was hooked over your thigh as he snored softly into your pillow.
"You are such a pain, Portgas, you know that?" You mumbled as you tried your best to settle back into the sheets ignoring the damp clothing you wore with the older man clinging to you like a monkey.
He didn't reply, but you took his snoring as a sign that he could care less. Closing your eyes again, you drift back off, not to be disturbed too.
...
The following morning was a noisy one but having lived in the house for almost over a year now, you grow used to it. Rolling over in your still half-asleep state, your eyes blur, not fully awake as you stare at the wall. The fuck how did you end up on the opposite side of the bed this time. Rolling back over, you noticed that your usual bed companion was nowhere to be seen.
Weird.
He must have gotten up already, which was odd for him. Ace usually slept in late on Sunday, but it seems today was a rare occasion when he didn't. Grabbing for your phone, the screen lights up to show it is a little past noon.
A little later than your own wake-up time but the little extra sleep was nice. Pushing the covers off yourself and getting out of the bed heading to the bathroom. After relieving yourself, you head down the stairs and into the chaos. The excited chatter of Luffy and Perona could be heard as you enter the kitchen. They don't pay you any mind as Luffy excitedly leans over the kitchen island and watches your best friend cook away.
The sight was very comical as Perona tried to push Luffy away, who was happily drooling at the presence of the sizzling meat. Giggling, you open up the fridge and grab for the jug of orange juice; shaking the container, you close the fridge behind you.
"Oh, (name) finally up, I see," Perona said, looking over at you.
Smiling at her, you open up the cabinet next to you and grab for a cup. "Yeah, guess I needed the extra sleep." You replied, turning back to them and pouring your drink.
"Well, I'm glad you came down when you did because I could use your help with cooking. No one else is around yet, so I decided to make a big brunch for everyone." She said as she cracked a few more eggs into another pan.
"You are so awesome, Perona!" Luffy said as he sat on the counter with a smile on his face.
You smiled at the sight even though this situation was a relatively regular one in your home. It always warms your heart because growing up, your luck with long-lasting friendships wasn't the greatest. So living here with some fantastic people made you emotional at times.
"So I see Ace slept in your room again last night." You froze at your friend's words as she peeked over at you from behind Luffy.
A guiltily blush crept its way up to your face. You looked away from her and stared into the living room. "Ugh yeah, he did; it's no big deal, just used to it." You mumbled.
"I see," she said slyly, making your face burn hotter with embarrassment.
"That's pretty normal for Ace. I think he's always clung to people that make him comfortable. He did a lot of that when we were kids and later with Deuce and Marco. Though for a while, he didn't think after his last relationship, which ended pretty badly, especially after the accident." He trailed off for a moment. "With you, for some reason, he started doing it again, but I'm glad we were all worried about him." Luffy grinned at you.
You were stunned. Ace had never mentioned anything before, not that you should be surprised. Despite his easy-going and friendly persona, Ace was relatively private on some matters of his life. Which never bothered you because you knew with time if it was necessary, he would tell you eventually.
"I wasn't aware, but I'm glad he feels so comfortable with me. I feel the same about him. He makes me feel secure, I suppose, is the right word."
Luffy looked at you thoughtfully and looked away, but you caught a hint of a smile anyway.
"Speaking of Ace, where is he? He wasn't in bed when I got up."
"Oh, he went for a morning run with Sabo. Well, I guess more of a late morning run. They should be back soon, though. Better start this before I have to listen to them whine about food again." Perona rolled her eyes, making you laugh at the image.
It was a ubiquitous experience in the shared home of the three brothers with bottomless pits. It was a good thing that Ace and Sabo had such good-paying jobs that they could have tons of extra food. Grabbing an apron from the hanger, you tied it around your waist and held for a mixing bowl, and started cracking eggs.
Both You and Perona moved in sync around the kitchen while dodging Luffy's grabby hands. The time passed quickly as you both finished making the feast just as the front door opened. The loud chatter of both older men caught your attention as you platted another stack of pancakes.
Looking over at your pink-haired friend you both shared the same thought as you both stepped away from the food. Just as both Sabo and Ace came stumbling in at the sight of the food. Just like wild beasts, all three brothers are divided in for their shares. You shook your head at their antics as a tap at your shoulder had you turning around.
Holding up a plate of food, Perona smiled at you as she headed it over. A smile spread across your face at her offering; grabbing it, you happily started to eat it.
"Thank, Rona yove the beth." You yell even though she barely heard you with your face stuffed and all.
She rolled her eyes at your display but smiled anyway. A sudden presence had you looking up at an arm circled your shoulders, pulling you into someone's chest. You gasped at the action but quickly recoiled at the smell and tried to tear away, but the grip was tight.
"(Name)!!" Ace mumbled as he swallowed his food.
"Acccce!" You whined as he held you closer to his sweat-soaked chest.
"(Name)!!!" He responded back teasingly.
You pouted as he snickered and kissed your cheek affectionately, making your cheeks burn in embarrassment.
"Ok, lovebirds, take it somewhere else; we're trying to eat here," Sabo said as he gestured to the other three in the room, a grin playing at his lips.
You groaned and pushed Ace off of you as you grabbed your plate and joined the others at the table. Ace just laughed and followed you as he sat across from you. As you started eating again, Sabo spoke between mouthfuls of food and told a story.
You didn't hear half of it, but it was something about running into Zoro on their run from what you gathered. From the way Luffy was in hysterics, you knew the man had probably gotten lost again. It made you laugh at the image of him getting frustrated as he ran back and forth through the local town. Most people knew who he was as this was a constant habit, so that alone was funny enough.
After you were done eating, you helped to shove the boys out of the kitchen so you could clean.
"Go shower. You all smell!" You finally said, making them groan and protest.
You glared at them all, making the three boys shut up and stare at you before quickly saying sorry and scrambling up the stairs. The sight of them trampling over one another was entertaining and made you smile as you headed back into the kitchen.
…
You heaved a heavy sigh as you flopped down onto your bed; after finishing the kitchen, you had returned to your room. Knowing you would be waiting for the shower for a while, you decided to lay down. Rolling over, the three large windows greet you. They were currently blocking out the light making the room darker than it would usually be.
Lately, you weren't sure of anything between school, your job, and being an adult, in general, was enough to make you restless. Though the constant unsolved resolve in your mind was this deal with Ace. You cared for him so much, but the thought of destroying your close friendship is what stopped you from pushing further.
Turning on your stomach, you hugged the nearest pillow to your chest, which you realized had been the pillow Ace slept on. Closing your eyes, you bury your face into the soft fabric. The smell of smoke and cologne came off of it. It was all Ace, and it was soothing to have the familiar scent lulling you into euphoria. Between the warmth coming from the heater and the pillow you hugged, you dozed off pretty quickly.
The dipping of the bed alerted you from your half-asleep state as someone sat down beside you. You blinked your eye open more, making your whine softly. Rolling over, you are given the sight of Ace sitting hunched over on your bed as he pulled his blue sweatshirt off his head. Leaving him in a yellow shirt. He tossed it onto the floor, which made you roll your eyes at his carelessness.
Ace ran a hand through his still-damp hair and casually scooted himself back on the bed as he laid down next to you. He laid on the opposite side to you, so he was facing you upside down, his back to the wall this time.
"Hi," he said, smiling at you softly.
"Hello, intruder," you mumble, your face still buried in the pillow you were now hugging to your chest.
He laughed. "Sorry, didn't mean to disturb you," he says with not a hint of remorse in his words.
You snorted.
"Right, because you are sorry every other time."
He shrugged his shoulders, continuing to smile at you, but this time his eyes had this gentle look in them you hadn't seen before. The look alone made you avert your gaze as your cheeks heated. You tried to not think of what that could mean exactly. The last few weeks had really been weird with him in general. The clinging, bed-sharing, soft looks, and just no boundaries at all at this point, which you were used to anyway, especially with Luffy, but this was different.
"Hey…..Ace, can I ask you something?"
You looked at him again; his brown eyes bore into yours.
"Sure, what is it?"
Closing your eyes, your grip on the pillow tightened, taking a deep breath, and you looked at him again. His lips pulled into a frown.
"It's nothing. Just wanted to know if you would take a nap with me?"
A huge grin split across his face at the gesture, and he happily sat up and grabbed you around the waist.
"Always (Name)!" He wrapped the blankets around you both and swaddled you into his chest. A giggle left you as you situated yourself in his grasp until you were comfortable. A sweet silence befalls you both as you settle into each other's warmth. After a while, you knew he was asleep from his soft snores near your ear.
You weren't sure when you would finally confine him about your feelings. For now, you were content with this strange arrangement you both had and were happy to continue it for a little while longer.

Taguchi Masahiro x Kunikida Doppo
Fluff, cuddles, dancing
Playlist
Masahiro was in bed.
If there was one thing that he wasn't then it was a morning person.
But no matter what it was up above, a god or something else, it seemed to hate him.
"Good morning darling!" came the voice, that he had become so very fond of, from his side
Don't get it wrong, Masahiro loved his boyfriend. He was amazing, smart and just overall great but...He woke up at 5am...Every single godamm morning.
"Morning Doppo...can't we sleep in today? We're both free from work."
The police officer could practically hear the eyeroll he got for that.
Masahiro heard shifting from behind him in bed and then cringed as the cold morning air hit the back of his neck.
"Asshole! Now im awake..." "Well good to hear you've joined us in the land of the living." "Land of the living? Well why do I feel so dead then?"
Masahiro rolled out of bed. When he looked up he saw his hellspawn of a boyfriend in all his morning glory. Even if Doppo tried to look awake he wasn't fooling the brunette. He could see the hairs poking out of his ponytail and the eyes that were smaller than usual.
The shorter of the two just sat there for a few seconds, staring at the other with adoration in his eyes.
The blond blushed and looked away. Doppo wasn't used to this type of affection from somebody, but when his boyfriend looked at him like that...He couldn't say he hated it.
"Get up..." Doppo held out his hand for Masahiro to take. "Nope." His boyfriend was having non of it though and pulled the younger down onto the bed as well.
They were laughing and rolling around on the bed that they bought together.
As they calmed down Masahiro looked to the side and smiled at his boyfriends laughing face.
God how he loved him.
The other looked back at Masahiro as well. "Ok ok...how abiut this: yoy can sleep some more and then I wake you when breakfast is done." "Mmm the best idea you've ever had, my love!" "Sure sure darling."
The radio was playing and the sun was raising as Masahiro walked into the kitchen.
Soft tunes where floating in the air as Doppo was making breakfast.
Masahiro wrapped his arms around the blonds waist and put his head on his shoulder. „Mmh smells nice.“
“Hello sleeping beauty. Could you get me the plates?“ „Sure thing, Prince Charming.“
The two moved around in the kitchen like they had been doing it for years. They hadn’t know each other too long but they were a team worthy to be feared. They were the same yet the opposite and they always knew what the other thought. No words were needed with these two.
The two ate in comfortable slice as the radio played its soft music.
When Doppo extended a hand to Masahiro and the two started to sway and twirl together all the brunette could do was smile.
Smile at the way that his boyfriend was kind of clumsy with his feet at times. Smile at how beautifully the sun light up the others face. Smile at how carefree and happy his oh so stoic lover was. Smile at how in love he was.
They fell back into bed laughing and hugging.
They snuggled up together and just held the other.
Just to feel the other, to know they were there.
Masahiro could feel his eyes become heavy again and he started to drift back to sleep surrounded by nothing but Kunikida Doppo and his warmth and smell.
And that.
That moment truly was when he felt the most at peace and at home.
Curled up in the arms of his lover was the place he felt like the world couldn’t harm him.
