hi, i just want to let everyone know, if any of you are frustrated with the state of TS4, i've compiled several different tutorials and made an all-in-one guide for playing TS2 on modern computers. it has all the fixes necessary to prevent crashes + pink flashing, and tips to make the game look just as nice as TS4, if not better!

please let me know if this guide is useful for you, or if anything needs to be changed/added/removed. i've tested it myself on multiple computers, and, while it works for me, there are many possibilities for error, considering that everyone's computer is different.

EDIT 2: if you're going to copy my guide, especially if some parts are word-for-word, please give me credit, just like how i gave credit at the end of the tutorial to all of the creators whose guides i referenced in the creation of this carrd. as far as i'm aware, i came up with this idea of an all-in-one carrd first- having a large platform does not make you better than anyone else or "above" giving credit to others.

Ok question for those who keep up with regular webcomic updates.

Let’s say a comic you’re into updates weekly with only a few pages (2-3 pages, or roughly 8-14 panels)… is that not enough to keep your interest? Or is the frequency helpful to stay caught up?

Same question, but it only updates twice a month (every 2 weeks) but with more pages (4-6 pages, or approx 15-30 panels). More to read at one time, but does that make it easy to forget what was going on in the story?

a sincere note about @/benjicotblckwood

Hi. I'm making this post to alert the hotd fandom about the utterly disturbing behavior of user @/benjicotblckwood (their other blogs: soulsbrne, cregnstark). Some of you might already be familiar with this blog and their posts, since they constantly spam the "cregan stark" and "tom taylor" tags with their inbox messages. Some of you might already have them blocked.

I've filtered and blocked all the tags and blogs that I could, but I've honestly had enough, and I feel obligated to make this post, as I believe it concerns all of us as a fandom. The way they choose to "conduct" themselves on this platform is abhorrent, showing an acute lack of respect and consideration for other users, and worst of all, for some of the actors - real human beings - involved in the show. They have already deleted many of the posts that I show and link below (I wonder why), but these are only a few drops in an ocean. I didn't even bother to scroll that far on their blog.

I want to preface this by saying: whether you choose to read this in full or not, I am begging you not to send them hate or to harass them in any way, shape, or form. That is NEITHER my intention nor my purpose. If you are angry, disgusted, etc., please, please, please just report and/or block them. Don't engage with them.

For the past few months, together with the anons and blogs they enable (and who enable them in return), they have repeatedly made incredibly disgusting and sexually explicit comments about Tom Taylor and Kieran Burton, tagging almost all of the posts with the actors' names and/or the characters they play, thus clogging the tags with shit like this (I suspect that they have since deleted some of the tags):

To further demonstrate that they do not see Tom Taylor as a real person but rather as an object to hypersexualise, they read and reblogged rpf (real person fanfiction) of him:

They have repeatedly stated that they comment on every instagram and tiktok post from Tom Taylor and Kieran Burton, asking them for their heights (and fuck knows what else). They themselves referred to this as harassment, which it very much is.

what DO you say on twitter, benjicotblckwood?

They constantly post clips and videos of Tom Taylor, where he is, who he is with, and what he is up to, often adding their own speculations and gross comments. This is literally cyberstalking. They even keep the things that he himself ends up deleting. (the post below is about a song Tom Taylor made and deleted)

I assume, because they constantly appear in the tags with questionable content (I'm being polite), they have been getting called out by multiple people (admittedly, not in a constructive way aka via anon hate). They got incredibly defensive (used buzzfeed and others doing similar things as excuses), acted like they didn't know what they were being called out for, and eventually deleted most of the posts. Don't get it twisted. These aren't jokes. This isn't what fandoms are. This isn't what fandoms are for. This isn't about a "handful" of "jokes" from today or yesterday. This is about dozens and dozens of posts (many of them incredibly disgusting and invasive) about real human beings, made over months and months, every single day.

Finally, I arrive at the reason why I'm making this post. They used the g*nocide in G*za to deflect from the shitshow on their blog. This isn't even performative activism. It's pure evil, in what I can only assume is an attempt to portray themselves as a good person who still has morals and empathy. As far as I'm aware, they have never ONCE shared a post, a fundraiser, anything about the topic on tumblr. But they chose this day, after responding to and deleting posts calling them out for their repulsive behavior online. This is beyond vile. This is fucking unacceptable.

I will conclude by reiterating what I wrote earlier: Please do not send them hate. Please do not harass them in any way, shape, or form. Please just report and/or block them.

mother’s daughter: muse a has had a pretty rough childhood. when her mother was a teen, she got pregnant early with muse a and was tormented relentlessly. it made her snap and attempt to kill the girls who were making fun of her. in the end, she was apprehended and put in a mental health facility to live out the rest of her days. fast forward 20+ years and muse b is the child of the ‘final girl’. everyone thought that the baby had not been born, but muse a is out there, terrorizing muse b and their friends because of what happened to her mother. she could be hiding in plain sight, being friends with the group (and has been for years) or is a stranger.

bury a friend: after a freak accident, muse a and muse b accidentally kill their mutual friend. whether or not it’s an actual accident is up to you. muse a goes completely numb, and muse b is picking up the pieces, trying to figure out how to get away from the guilt. muse a ends up having a taste for killing, and muse b is left trying to clean up their messes so they don’t get caught. 

twisted teeth: muse a is part of a coven of prominent vampires, who don’t often associate with other beings… especially humans. however, muse a is a bit of a rebel and likes to blend in with humans as a bit of a game. but when they meet muse b, everything changes. there is a primal desire to bond in a way that muse a has never felt before. now muse a is trying to figure out how to come clean to muse b, all the while trying not to feed from them. 

maneater: two cannibals who fall in love, but neither of them know that they eat people and their taste seems to be for each other. think of mr. and mrs. smith, but instead of having a hit on each other… they’re just cannibals. 

writer in the dark: muse a is a wanderer, going from place to place and just living life with nothing holding them back. muse b is a beautiful recluse, potentially some sort of demon/witch, who lives in a cabin in the middle of the woods. muse a ends up stumbling upon this cabin, and ends up getting locked in there with muse b. there is no way out, so muse a begins to learn how to live with muse b and being their muse.

rhiannon: muse a is a historian studying the hauntings of an old ghost in a small town, and has moved into a cheap mansion on the hill. newcomers will be bewitched by the ghost’s song. muse b is the ghost in question, burned by a scorned lover so she wouldn’t say his secrets. the ghost was murdered in the mansion that muse a is living in, and only comes to life when a resident is there. muse a finds themselves bewitched by the song and voice of muse b, who has been materializing in front of them. except it seems that the two are falling in love in an unconventional way. 

bring me to life: muse a and muse b were newly weds when muse a died suddenly. muse b did everything they could to save them, and was greeted by a demon after a last ditch effort to bring their love back to life. they do a ritual, and end up beginning muse a back to life… except something is wrong. muse a has some sort of bloodlust, and muse b has to figure out how to satiate it as they navigate living new life.

does anyone else think about how EoE makes so many things just like. Apparent. or More apparent. shinji's objectification/sexualization of asuka (and his physical violence towards her). gendo's sexual abuse of rei (and expanding upon his and ritsuko's "relationship"). naoko's distracted/neglectful parenting of ritsuko. misato's inability to show affection without sex. maya's attraction to ritsuko, fuyutsuki's attraction to yui, hyuga's attraction to misato, aoba's lack of attraction (and nihilistic worldview). asuka's mother never truly abandoning her. and, notably, shinji's Entire Worldview.

you can like. argue "ohhh end of eva is SO out of left field, the characters don't act like themselves, this is such a bad movie" but if you watch through evangelion MULTIPLE times, it's just so clearly not the case. everything that happens in EoE was a clear possibility and the end result of everything that had happened in the series up until that point. it does not come out of nowhere, it just takes the subtleties, the hints, the escalation of events, and pushes them right into your face. i don't think there's hardly anything in EoE that isn't realistic for the characters involved (which is both interesting and deeply heartbreaking tbh), it just takes a level of comprehension, and yes, likely a couple of rewatches, to see that absolutely none of this should be an unexpected or shocking result.

tl;dr at least part of what EoE's message is "this is what happens when things happen to people"

I've been mulling over a scene where Jayce arrives to kill Viktor but he's hesitant and can't look at him. His arms are shaking and his hammer is slipping in his grip from how sweaty his palms are getting. He's clenching his jaw and biting down so hard he feels a piece of a tooth chip off.

And then he feels a hand on his shoulder and hears that soft voice, so careful and deliberate are the words that voice speaks. That he's already suffered much, how fractured and frayed his mind and thoughts are. That he deserves to rest, now, to be comforted. That Viktor can be the one to give him that.

Viktor's hand moves to Jayce's neck while the other gently lowers the hammer down. Jayce still hasn't looked at him yet and Viktor doesn't make him. He's breathing those short and staggered breaths one does when they're crying but there are no visible tears yet. His body is just too exhausted.

Viktor pulls Jayce's head to his chest and rubs the back of his neck. He tells him he will always be at war with himself, that at any moment the thoughts and emotions that had brought him there to kill him would scrape at the surface like a wild animal clawing to escape from underground. He might even try to do it again. Multiple times, even. But that he would be there this time to ease them away, to be the soothing presence he needs to keep that warring part of him at bay. That he forgives him now and in the future for anything he might attempt. Viktor tells Jayce that he will never be rid of that voice but he will also never be rid of him either.

And that's when Jayce finally looks up.
