I absolutely adored Love at First Snow. There were a few grammatical errors but it happens to everyone! No worries. It was such a lovely story–so much affection & dreamy romance. I think the fact that despite all their insecurities about not being good enough they knew in the deepest part of their souls that they were still perfect for each other–I think that was the pinnacle. Relationships shouldn't be about who's better but how you can better each other. I think your fic drove that home.
Hello Hon! Thank you for seeing this argument in Love at First Snow! I tried my best showing this and I guess all the effort was worth it because someone saw it!
LFS!OC and Hoseok's relationship sounds really dreamy bc I made them have effective communication with each other. It's true there are other obstacles in relationships more complicated than the one they had. But I think other's opinions about you and your partner, whether positive or negative, can really affect you just as well. A lot of people say the solution for this is easy: "let's just not mind what the others think." Yes this is true, but I want to show there's a struggle in realizing this solution in my story, as what others have to say about you has the more-than-average possibility of hitting you where your biggest insecurities lie on.
And because of this, I want to emphasize communication will still play one of the most salient factors in a relationship (and no don't say comprehension is better than communicating circulating around the quotes section of Twitter, FB, and even Tumblr bc how can u communicate when you don't even understand? That's just you one-way talking without hearing and communicating need these two to be even called communication). I think to have someone remind you you are loved despite your faults and lacking abilities is what makes love so exciting, so pleasurable, and so worth fighting for. I think there's no other greater assurance in life one can have than this.
I'm glad you also saw that I tried to make these 2 characters help each other become the best versions of themselves. There's no other more effective characteristic of a healthy love than mutual growth and I make it a point showing this in most of my writings as I want the world to know more about this.
Thabk you so much hon for leaving such a substantial review of Love at First Snow! I'm so happy you saw the subtexts I put in my story ☺️☺️☺️
