I keep drawing vyrthur in just the robe but that's his thing and its actually really improper in polite falmer society. doubly so in the area where the chantry is because the fashion relies on layering. He was a controversial arch-curate even before he tried to fight god

#The chantrys basis was already pushing the boundaries of acceptable faith. He (raised with extreme version of beliefs) didn't help #The only reasons he didn't get booted were society collapsing (nobody to enforce it) and that he accepted a Lot of refugees.#the Rift wasn't a very rich area . Nothing important happened there but they were respected Until this combined #With them coexisting trading with and even taking in friendly nords. A lot of falmer served at Forelhost and it was considered a sibling -#- organisation to the Chantry at least by locals.
