Tuesday, December 24th, Christmas Eve “You know,” Ichigo started slowly, sucking his teeth, as he stared at the massive fire currently consuming everything in the crater, “Maybe we should have just stuck with shopping and shopping alone.” Next to him, Grimmjow in his Resurección form watched the thirty-foot fire blaze. His tail swept side to side in a thoughtful motion. He grunted. “I don’t know about that. It was kinda fun to—” He was cut off when the steel roof of the three-story building shrieked as it no longer had the strength to hang on in the face of the high-intensity flames. The steel roof frame collapsed into the roaring fire, the inferno bursting at the seams of the crater as the metal fell in. The sound of it crashing to the hot ground was so loud that it created a shockwave when it hit. They already destroyed the ruins of several decrepit buildings, but this one had managed to stand at its full original height. Urahara’s new additions to the bunker. That was until they showed up. The massive crater kept the fire from spreading to the rest of the place, but that didn’t stop the monster of an inferno from devouring the remains of the building. Bright reishi burned away at the edges of the flames. Glowing embers and cinders flew into their faces, making them screw their eyes shut. The gust of the heated shockwave blew their hair back. When they felt the wave pass, they were able to open their eyes without getting hot smoke and dust to the eye. “…I won’t say you’re right,” Grimmjow stated bluntly, azure hair whipping in the hot air, “but maybe you gotta point.” “Told you so.” Grimmjow flicked him the middle finger.

The only car he had access to was now submerged ten feet underwater, and he’d tossed his phone days ago, so walking was his only option. Meaning he was days away from a town. He needed to think things through better next time. Next time? He hung his head. He’d told himself he’d only do it once.
