The Outlaw

You're fiercely independent with a sense of self that keeps you from bending to societal constraints. The Damsel

🎀 Do they wear a specific accessory with a special meaning behind it? What is their usual fashion sense like? What do they wear when they want to be comfortable and what do they wear when they’re going to a fancy party? Or do they just not care?

Out of canon/meta: If I can use the jewelry with the Fortemps crest or the Amaurot jewelry, I do for shippy reasons

In canon:

Nerys wears a bracelet with the Fortemps crest on it, a gift from when Lord Edmont first made her his ward. (Tataru and Alphinaud also received jewelry to indicate their status.) It was already special for that reason and only gained in sentiment.

Earrings as much as possible in addition to the black Elezen ear clasps.

Most of the time Nerys has to be in some kind of armor--leather and metal. She became a bit of a clotheshorse in Ishgard and collected all sorts of clothes. She prefers something with a bit of tailoring, bonus points if it shows off her chest or thighs. And she *loves* gowns, especially in Ishgard. Her life being like it is, she doesnt get to wear them often but loves when she can. (Helpful for those fancy parties)

Once she can get more custom armor, she prefers a more streamlined version of the drachen mail with the "spikes" in her hair instead of the full helm.

Nerys does understand that impressions have to be made in certain circumstances. She'll don the traditional drachen mail when a message needs to be sent about who she is and who her allies are.

🍇 Day or Night? Sun or Rain? Summer or Winter?

Nerys is an early bird by habit not temperament. She's been getting up with the sun for so long it's made her a day person even though she finds the nighttime prettier and more romantic.

Rain if it's just a matter of what is more relaxing and means she doesn't have to deal with heat (but sun is better for missions).

She loves winter! It's her favorite.

💙 What did your OC want to be when they grew up and why? Did they have any lifelong dreams or ambitions they never got to work on or are they currently working to achieve this dream? Has their life taken a very unexpected turn and put all these plans on hold for a while or have they given up on any dreams?

She certainly did not expect to become the Warrior of Light

Nerys was a jack of all trades for a while--working as a bouncer, muscle for merchant caravans, tending bar here and there. Gathering and cooking for hire. Adventurer seemed the best route to take after all that and in that sense she has fulfilled her goals.

Her father taught her all sorts of stories growing up--folklore and history alike. She didn't think seriously about making that a career but she did always want to be able to learn more during whatever she ended up doing. And she absolutely has.

Favorite OC

What can I say? He’s my best friend, he’s my pal. He’s my homeboy, my rotten soldier. He’s my sweet cheese, my good-time boy. He’s my everything really. Cooper was the first ever OC I’ve ever made for a fandom and he helped free me from a years long stretch of no writing ideas. I’m still so excited about him and I think about him every day. I love that he’s become so iconic because he means so so much to me. I will hopefully get around to telling his full story soon.

Oldest OC

Once again it’s Cooper! Well, if we’re counting still active OCs. Technically I have some older for original stories but I don’t make stuff for them anymore. I made Cooper in May of 2020 and the rest is history. Haven’t looked back since.

Newest OC

Ward Drachen (real name Edward Smithfield) is my most recent OC. I made him uuuuh I honestly don’t remember exactly when but towards the end of last year I think, for rdr2/rdo. I still don’t have much for him, but I really wanted a red dead OC and came up with a basic idea. Hopefully more will come!

Meanest OC

Ward is the meanest OC hands down. This is one mean sunovabitch. He’s taciturn an standoffish, and has no discernible sense of humor. He sometimes delights in cruelty towards his enemies (who luckily can’t be called innocent by any stretch). Ward doesn’t give a shit about other people or their feelings, unless they get close to him and that’s a difficult feat.

Softest OC

It’s Valor! Valor puts on a bit of a tough guy act occasionally but it’s easy to see through, and honestly, he doesn’t try that hard to maintain it. This guy is a sweetheart honestly. He’s open and generous, friendly and upbeat. Once might even say bubbly. He’s a criminal but has never hurt anyone in the course of crimes (pre the events of his story) since they mostly consist of vehicle theft and sometimes data theft. (Cooper loses this one by having a little bit of a mean streak to him; he likes starting fights a little too much).

Most aloof/standoffish OC

Again it’s Ward. He’s not a people person.

Smartest OC

Heath is a pretty smart cookie. He was validictorian for his class in high school and all that and could have easily gotten in to most colleges if he hadn’t decided to join the army instead and then go onto the DEA after getting out. He’s also a little bit of a sleuth. He has a knack for investigation and moved up fast in the DEA because of it.

Dumbest (affectionate) OC

Sigh. Cooper was made to be a little bit of a himbo at first but gradually got dumber. This man went on the run from the law without changing his name or anything about his appearance. He can’t do basic math. He has a huge amount of trouble focusing on anything and is absent minded to the max.

OC I’d be friends with IRL

Valor! I love Cooper but he and I don’t have much in common so I think it would be hard to keep conversations going. Valor and I could totally talk video games and go out on the town together and look for hot guys. Valor is also interested in learning about new things and has a curious mind and great sense of humor so I think we’d get long great. I’d love to be friends with Coop but Valor is a more realistic option for someone I’d actually be friends with.

bright sunny yellow

Sweet tasting popsicles, summer dresses and shielding your eyes from the sun. Your love is the excitement of something brewing, something growing. It's the almost childish bubbling giggles of something new, but with the potential to stay. It's wide smiles, blinding sunny light and warm bodies that gravitate to one another. It's the the softness, the willingness, the slight holding of breaths in a crucial "what if" moment. It's the impatience too. The bouncing on tiptoes to see further than your eyes can reach, the holding out for a future that never seems to come even though you're ready, you're so so so ready. It's the constant feeling of warm sand beneath your feet, holding out for the crashing waves. And still you wait, dry and impatient and with burnt soles of feet. Your love is sour candy, enjoying it as your nose scrunches up from the aftertaste of it. It's hands that grab and take hold, that reach and ask them to stay and hope and beg and wait. It's bubbling excitement sure, but it's also demanding, focused, driven. It's love like a plan, with a path and route and a clear destination. And you bonce on your tiptoes, and burning, waiting for the soothing water, the crashing waves, you hold onto the melting popsicle, you wait and wait and wait. It's tiring almost as much as it's lazer focused ambition, deeply rooted desire and the unrelenting hope that it will work, that it will come. And it does, I promise it does. The waves crash, the beach floods and the pain passes, the water cool and soothing and you can let yourself fall in, sinking, sinking. And it's good, it's perfect, what you were hoping and more, holding and embracing you and welcoming you into the stillness you always knew you were reaching for.

Nice breeze, bare feet and freshly cut grass. Your love is a lighthearted hope for the future. It's protecting your eyes from the sun but enjoying the light rays still, it's laying on the grass and feeling it tickle your neck. The Boatswain A captain leads their crew. The first mate advises. But you're the one who actually makes things happen on this ship. When the captain gives an order to sail to some place, it's you who gives the crew their duties, to hoist or change or unfurl the sails, to man the guns, to swab the deck, to do whatever needs to be done. And you're right there alongside them, heaving and hauling and fighting just the same. The sailors put their trust in you, and you won't let them down. When they have a problem, you're the first port of call. The captain listens to you, even if you can tell she's not always paying attention. You spend your days before the mast, and your nights in a hammock slung up in the cargo hold. It's often a thankless job - the captain berates you if the crew are unruly, and the crew hate whenever you have to dole out discipline. But if you left, this ship would fall to pieces in an instant. And you love her. You love the sea. You love the job, despite it all. So you work, and you work, and you work, and you don't stop. Not until the job is done. And it's never going to be done.

The Topman Of all the sailors on this ship, your job is the most dangerous. Oh, everyone climbs the rigging into the topsails from now and then, but you practically live up there, among the rope and swaying canvas. You know the sails better than any person, have clung to the mast through storm and swell in the pitch-black of night, when your limbs are freezing from the chill and your body is soaked to the bone. When there's work to be done in the tops, you're the first to climb to their dizzying heights and the last to lower yourself back to the deck. Some nights you have slept up there, balancing on a yardarm or in the crow's nest, lashed to the rigging ten feet above the deck. But never once have you fallen. Though your hands and feet and calloused and burned from clasping the ropes, never have you pitched into the water or slammed against the deck. Few sailors can claim such a badge of honour as that. When you're up there, the wind blowing a chill against your face, hair streaming behind you and clothes billowing, you feel more alive than you ever have. So when your captain calls, you are glad to place your hands and feet in the rigging and ascend once more. It's where you belong.

The Captain This is your ship. Oh, but you worked for it. You joined your first pirate crew when you were little older than a child, learning the language of rope and rigging and the roll and sway of the sea. From there, you worked your way up, signing onto ship after ship, tailing sailors twice your age just to learn from example how a ship is run. And learn you did. By the time you turned twenty, there wasn't a shipboard task you couldn't perform. Then, one day, you had signed onto a ship under a notoriously bad captain - quick with the lash and slow with the shares. With the rest of the crew, you plotted and planned, and when the time came, you forced the captain and his officers onto an abandoned rock in the ocean, and took command yourself. Drunk on victory and rum, you promised your crew that you would be a fair captain, a shrewd captain, and make them all rich. Every day your head buzzes with plans and schemes, prizes more ambitious than the last. Yes, every pirate's luck runs dry eventually, but they haven't caught you yet, and you're proud of that fact. So you'll raid, and you'll fight, and you'll keep shipping out. These are your seas. And you'll hold them until your body rots in the deep.

First one is an obvious choice and while the second one is a little out of his vocal range, he would sing it thinking he was being hilarious.
