They are everything to you; they are your Maker, and you are their lamb, their flock, their first and holiest worshipper. When you fall in love, it is as a baptism. You are born anew, made a believer in the divinity of the one you love most. Being loved by you is an ascension; it is holy and golden. It is all-consuming, and all-faithful, loyal as the dog. You will never, ever bite back.

love as a threshold

It is calloused and sunburned; it bears scars and comes with stories. Your love is worn, but it is no less valuable for it. Being loved by you is like being loved by a gardener, a mother, a teacher. the academic

a god for the lost souls. you can often find makeshift altars for you deep in forests, cave systems, and other uncharted territories. you guide those lost back onto the path. the souls of those who disrespect you are lost forever, trapped in a winding labyrinth, never to leave or see sunlight again.

agriculture and the home

generous and nurturing, you represent and protect the home and family. those who pray to you are often blessed with calm and happy lives and a bountiful harvest. celebrations and festivals are held every fall in your honor and a candle burns for you through the winter, hoping no one goes hungry during the harsher months.

violent

when something makes you upset, it could even be the tiniest most petty reason ever, you yell, rage, and possibly throw stuff in anger. your actions think quicker than your mind, and it could probably not even be intentional but the next thing you'll realize is that you've hurt someone

manipulative

you're probably a passive aggressive person. you frequently lie, and gaslight to get your way. you never want to be held responsible for your actions so you avoid situations by either victimizing yourself, belittling others concerns, hiding the truth, and using threats to harm yourself or others

narcissistic

you have little to no respect for others. you believe that other people are invalid and you are superior to them in each and every way. you probably talk a lot about yourself, or think highly of yourself. you need to learn that the world does not revolve around you, there is 8 billion other people out there, and not everything has to go your way

lack of trust

this one isn't that difficult to understand. you're extremely secretive, and you're afraid that if you open up you'll get hurt (again?). you probably raise suspicion against others and accuse them of something they never did. you let your anxiety and worry influence the way you view people which is never good.

the werewolf

there's something inside a werewolf that's sharp, thorns and barbs coiling up in tight knots of vine even on their best days. halfway through a conversation, you'll forget your happiness and the pain comes back in a flash. you never meant to, but the sharpness has done harm on your behalf. it's defensive. it's leftover artillery from a battle you spent so long fighting that it still doesn't feel like it's truly over, does it? you want so badly to be soft. to take the hand that you are offered instead of baring your teeth. and it might be hard to believe, but you are soft. you're the softest one out there. it'll just take a while to untangle those vines enough to know that very little is often life-or-death, and not everything touches to hurt.

the harbingers have been through fire. you've got the scars to show for it. some people say harbingers are jaded- scary, even, to people who don't understand that the harbinger has seen the edge of the world and survived it. but being the harbinger means you're cursed to watch younger, brighter eyes fall for the same traps you did. trying to help isn't enough for you; you know what they're getting themselves into, and you want to protect them the way no one ever protected you, so why won't they just listen? it's frustrating. it's terrifying. no one should have to live through what you did, and i hope you know that you can't protect everyone but it's damn noble of you to try. it's not your job to save the world but i hope you know you've already made a difference to everyone who has taken your words to heart.

OCs AS LITERARY ARCHETYPES

the ruler.

you probably grew up in an environment where everything was policed, you had almost no control over your own life. now, you need to be in constant control, lest those feelings of helplessness return. however, the ruler is the most easily corrupted of the archetypes, remember that. you might find yourself not only wanting control over your own life, but the lives of others. that in itself is not a bad thing, so long as you’re benevolent and kind, but it’s easy to be tipped a bit too far into your desires. in the same vein, don’t shoulder all of your responsibility alone. while it is ultimately their decision to make, a ruler also has a circle of advisors around them.

the innocent.

this doesn't necessarily mean you're childish or naive! i think you're more of a hopeful person, maybe even a bit of an idealist. you might be the one who always looks for a silver lining, or tries their best to comfort and cheer other people up when they feel like shit. dont get stuck in a happy personality though, you're allowed to feel other things besides constant cheerfulness.

the magician.

well, arent you detached from reality. i dont mean in a delusional sense, i mean you purposefully distance yourself from everything and everyone. you have people you're close to, of course, but they're always kept at arms length. you're incredibly driven though, achieving your goals is extremely important to you. you feel trapped in the life you have now, it's not enough for you. you need more, always more. you are so hungry, and if you’re not careful, you’ll only end up consuming yourself.
