Broken Unity

(I just had a thought about if my CRK OC learned about Saint Vanilla, and if she would take Crepe and Choco in for some rest. Since Vanilla Flower Tea Cookie is Pure Vanilla's cousin, I wondered how she would react to the news of his... transformation. Yee)

"My cousin is... a Beast now?"

Before she received the news, Vanilla Flower Tea Cookie was in her humble abode, cleaning around her garden when she saw two familiar, yet battered Cookies.

"Strawberry Crepe? Dark Choco? What happened to you two?"

The two noticed her and immediately Crepe ran over and hugged her, startling her but hugging them back nonetheless.

"You're not one of them!" Crepe's relieved sobs worried Vanilla deeply. Patting their back to soothe them, she turned to Dark Choco Cookie, who was looking away. "Dark Choco, tell me what's going on."

Slowly, the male looked up at his mother figure, and sighed deeply. "Let's head inside. It's safer that way."

Vanilla Flower Tea Cookie could only stare in shock at the two, having learned about what happened with the Ancients. She was honestly never in the loop about many things, so hearing this NOW... was a punch to the gut.

Her own cousin, Pure Vanilla Cookie, turning into a Beast...

She felt like throwing up.

As she tried to calm down, Crepe and Choco both stared at her. Crepe especially knew how close the cousins were, despite the lack of communication. Heck, they saw her as a sister figure when they first met her, so seeing Vanilla FloTea as her normal self and NOT one of the Lambs of Penance... They honestly didn't know how they would've handled one more of their family figures gone.

Dark Choco stared at her face, realizing that this must've hit her much harder than he thought. Before the whole Beast-calypse happened, Vanilla Flower was struggling to keep in contact with her remaining family members since she kept connections at a minimum due to rough family matters - something he could relate to.

So to hear one of your only family members just hit the deep end... Well, you could imagine how all three of them felt.

Strawberry Crepe stared at Vanilla FloTea as they sipped their tea, the quiet peacefulness within Vanilla's home a welcome guest to the three Cookies. The female Vanilian tapped her robotic finger against her cup before sighing. "Have you two been followed?" She asked, staring at the table.

"No, so far we're in the clear. I also make sure to look out for Saint's flowers. He can look through them, believe it or not..." Dark Choco replied, the pink-haired Cookie beside him shivering from the memory.

"..."

Vanilla stayed quiet once more, thinking to herself. The little ones' were drained from constantly moving, she could see it in their eyes. They needed rest, and food. Even the little crows could use some care, as one was slowly inching towards her in curiosity. She lowered her hand to pet the bird before speaking.

"You two can stay here. I live pretty secluded, so not many Cookies know about where I live. However, if whoever is searching for you finds this place..." A faint sinister glint in her heterochromatic eyes flashed as she balled her fists in suppressed anger. "I will personally have a word with them."

Meanwhile, outside of the cabin, someone watched the three Cookies through the window. A sinister, yet loving smile grew on his face as he stared at his cousin. It had been a while since he last talked to her, and the feeling of catching up started to surface.

"Oh, my dear cousin. It's been a while since we talked. I'm sure we can talk things out when you're available..." He chuckled to himself.

Suddenly, both pairs of eyes met. One full of twisted familial love, and one of bitter hurt.

Vanilla Flower Tea Cookie excused herself from the children as she walked outside, and the stare she gave Saint Vanilla Cookie...

The Huntress was about to dance with the Beast.

Turns out, even a Soul Jam split between multiple cookies will awaken....

Or, a silly little AU I've been concocting for a couple months now! Gonna make a rp blog at some point but I at least wanna wait until the Eternal Sugar / Hollyberry updates finish!

The basic premise of the AU is simple: as a token of goodwill/trust/etc, most of the Ancients give a small peace of their Soul Jam to their most trusted allies.

Overtime, it just becomes second nature. A mark of how much trust they have on their shoulders, a way for the rulers to always know who they can trust.

And then Beast-Yeast happens. Turns out, when the Ancients themselves gained their awakened forms, the same happened to the cookies holding those small fragments....

And chaos ensues, because 2/3s of the Abundance holders should be dead and are Not, one of the Resolution holders has no fucking clue what's happening, and both Truth holders just woke up and have been transformed overnight with no word from Pure Vanilla in weeks

Light of Truth -

Although it wasn't until he lost his memories, Pure Vanilla did hand out two small fragments of his Soul Jam.

One to Black Raisin, even before he regained those precious memories. One as a gift to the leader he trusted to keep the village safe throughout it all.

One to Strawberry Crepe, as a peace offering. What harm could come if he indulged in the child's curiously just this once?

Crepe was a design I always had in mind, with small physical changes! They now have pretty magic freckles, lights glinting in the hair, and various other little stuff!!! I really just enjoyed the idea of the subtle stuff for them!

(I also like to imagine that they're now able to read the Soul Jams, and have an internal sense of if someone is lying or not)

Black Raisin gets wings :3 It's kinda hard to work with just the sprite, but they're white chocolate, as a reference to chocolate cover raisins!!! And honestly the hair was just because the wings felt a bit bland, so the idea of the Light of Truth taking over her hair was an idea that I figured looked awesome!!

Also the Crows and her can communicate without any hesitation. She just starts chirping to chat with a random crow in the middle of a meeting. does not realize this is happening

Light of Resolution -

Long before he closed the kingdom off, Dark Cacao gave his most trusted soldiers their own chip of his Soul Jam, trusting that they'd understand what it meant.

And understand they did. Crunchy Chip made sure that even among the coldest nights and hardest training sessions, that gem stayed safe. Caramel Arrow, even while exiled, treasured the shard of something precious with her life.

Dark Choco, on the other hand, only gained his due to sheer luck. Affagato had gotten his hands on the small chip of Soul Jam that had originally been reserved for the prince, and lost it in the wilderness. Dark Choco just happened to be in the right place to find it.

For the designs, I. honestly I wasn't sure how exactly the best way about changing them up would be. Aside from making Crunchy Chip a furry. that was a given lol

Tbh Crunchy Chip was kind hard to figure out a design for, but in the same vein as Carrow, I think at lot of the changes Awakening brought were in his instincts and shit. mans will know if you're acting shifty from a mile away

It's a bit hard to see, but Dark Choco has some draconic traits! Claws, tail, horns, and some scales on his face! Honestly I just liked the idea of him echoing his father a bit through that :D

Carrow my beloved I couldn't find much to change up about your design because in my head most of the changes were magic in nature. Just know that all her arrows are 100% magical now and will never miss any target. and small trails of purple magic follow them. please see the vision

Light of Abundance -

Mozzarella was always a candidate for this role, being one of Golden Cheese's most trusted allies. Golden Cheese thought the shard of her Soul Jam had died with her friend, but it turns out things didn't go exactly as she assumed...

Burnt Cheese, in the same vein as Mozzarella, was assumed to have died alongside the shard he was given. Until Smoked Cheese misplaced the Soulcheese's after defeating Burning Spice.

Smoked Cheese, by all means, should NOT have been given a fragment of untold power. But Golden Cheese saw something in him that caused her to pause. Maybe it was a small reflection of herself, maybe the hope that it'd placate him. Whatever the reason, when the Goddess of Eternal Gold regained her wings, her adviser as gained a pair of his own.

Smoked Cheese gets wings!! I liked the idea of him having smaller, but very capable, wings!! Some of his outfit was shifted to a more gold color, and the purple smoke is also gold! (this will be a theme)

Mozzarella gets cool horns! I also adored the idea of her Soul Jam fragment taking the place of the cheese slice on her head piece!!! I then proceeded to (attempt to) make it look like she was sprinkled in gold dust!!!!

Burnt Cheese... I'm so sorry my guy I had like no ideas ;-; I did end up giving him a small tail, and made him look like parts of his cape/head piece were coated in gold! Again I'm sorry Burnt Cheese fans I didn't know what to do for his designs ;-;

You’d never be able to tell but Strawberry Crepe does love Snowy Choco. They just have no idea how to express it…and they’re kinda still an “annoying” lil baby to them.

Snowy thinks he’s so lucky to have a genius like Crepe as a sibling to teach him all the stuff and things-!!

Various interactions between hope and the cookies part 1

Strawberry crepe

- hope went back to the crepe republic, carrying princess cookie and knight cookie with him on his back while in dragon form.

- he had a brief convo with pure vanilla before seeing strawberry crepe. He trotted off after him.

- hope loosely follows him until he reached an old wearhouse, he was stopped by raisin crow cookie and asked what he was doing there. Hope explained that there was “something he needed to mend”, wishing to apologize to crepe about what had happened.

- strawberry crepe cowered behind raisin crow before eventually taking interest in hope again. “You know. I never finished my examination of you!”

- hope, this time, allowed him to try and figure out his ingredients. Strawberry crepe began to realize slowly that hope’s ingredients were unidentifiable and his dough seem softer and bouncier than normal. It almost seemed like he wasn’t a cookie at all.

- this fascinated him, along with the fact he could shapeshift which would not only add extra layers to his research but Hope could also be used to strength test his machines.

- ever since this, hope has returned to visit crepe. He eventually gained more trust in hope, not seeing him as some terrifying beast anymore.

Custard Cookie

- while Hope was visiting the cookie kingdom. He had decided to become custard cookie’s Nobel stead for the day. Allowing himself to be saddled and have custard cookie ride on his back while he was in horse form.

- the two went around the entire kingdom. Hope occasionally stopped to talk to people he knew.

- I can see hope either entering someone’s house in his horse form or sticking himself head in a window just to scare on of his friends.

- I can see him also allowing other’s to ride his back too if custard is willing to allow someone to ride with him.

Walnut cookie

- this also takes place in the cookie kingdom but I am see her wanting to investigate a missing child’s case

- I can see hope being a suspect for a case walnut cookie was investigating. He happened to be around at the same time as the kid went missing.

- when she finally stops him, he runs in the opposite direction. he turns and sneaks up behind her and says “actually it’s you who is under arrest!” Causing her to fall on the ground.

- “Well tell me! What is my crime?! Arson? Tax evasion? .. homocide… orrrrr **turns into opossum form and plays dead** insurance fraud?!!”

- walnut’s a bit shook up by this. Seeing this supposed speed racing cheetah turn into an opossum then back as well as hearing his rather loud yapping.

- she gets up quickly and says “you’re not being charged with any crimes.. but you are a suspect.. a young cookie went missing late last night. From what I was told by gingerbrave, you happened to be around that time at night.”

- “well I can’t say I have kidnapped any children… buuuut I can help you find them!”

- the two investigate various areas of the cookie kingdom while Hope’s holding a banana like a gun.

- hope suddenly comes to a realization “wait!” He turns into a German shepherd form “I might be able to sniff them out.. like a search and rescue dog.. I did it for the dark cacao kingdom once.. I can’t see why I couldn’t do it here.”

- “that could work!” “So what’s this kids name?” “Chestnut cookie”

- “you.. got any belongings of his? Like a toy or.. something else he may have held?” “No.. “ she responds disapointedly.

- “that’s alright, you cookies have unique enough scents, I should be able to find him.” She comments stumps walnut cookie “wait.. you’re not a cookie-“ hope catches the smell of something and run towards it.

- “wait for me!” She cries out trying to catch up behind him

- the two run by a phone booth with almond cookie inside it, hope’s ruff catches his eye and after seeing him pass by, he sees his own daughter run by.

- hope goes into the woods and finds a young child. he wags his tail. “Hey are you chestnut cookie?” the child knods and hope begins wagging his tail.

- “I found them!” Hope calls out, walnut runs over and gives chestnut a hug.

- almond cookie runs over to see the group. A part of him is upset to have his daughter put herself in a potentially dangerous situation, especially with a shapeshifting stranger but he is happy to see them found chestnut cookie safe.

- before Hope leaves, he finally does introduce himself to the group.

- “welp..” he turns back into his witch form, realizing what he actually is “see y’all around” he runs off as the entire group stare dumbfounded like ‘did we just actually see that’

Calamansi cookie

- while in his home kingdom searching for berries, hope has begun to think about that night he first arrived in the hollyberry kingdom. The night he decided to reside there.

- he was thinking specifically about that cookie he briefly danced with. Mainly their colors, green and orange… could that be Calamansi cookie, the cookie he once created? Was she still out there?

- he heard a civilian scream for help and rushed over, they were being attacked by a tiger.

- suddenly he heard a few sound cracking sounds and a voice yell out “BEGONE!”. The tiger immediately took off.

- Hope rushed over in cookie form to make sure the civilian was okay. They were unharmed luckily.

- a cloaked figure with a whip slowly approaches hope as the civilian takes off (not before saying “thank you” of course.). “Who.. are you?” Hope asks. The figure uncloaks themselves.

- hope immmediately recognizes her and runs up and hugs her. Loudly yelling “YOU’RE ALIVE! YOU’RE ALIVE!” With tears in his eyes. This suprise her at first but she eventually wraps her arms around him.

- hope takes her with him back to their house and the two have a discussion about what happened to one another. Calamansi tells him that she is the lone survivor from everyone who escaped at night. Monsters had taken out a good portion of their group, she isn’t sure if anyone else other than her survived.

- even with hope feeling upset about the loss of the others, he is still very happy to see his long lost creation.

- from that day forth, she became his protector in return for helping to spare her and the other cookies lives.

Pure Vanilla Cookie

Ancients in General:

They all have a fondness for gardening- whether that be planting flowers, growing herbs, etc., they all love it the same!

They all deserve a vacation from their jobs because they have absolutely earned it and the right to be happy.

Telenovela nights are their favorite times to be together- they all gather around a tv and binge the newest telenovela (They bring lots of ice cream in case they ever cry)!

Pure Vanilla:

All of his subjects, Black Raisin and her villagers plus Strawberry Crepe included, see him as their dad.

He has done hundreds of weddings for desserts across Earthbread, and enjoys a good celebration or two.

He still has nightmares and will never forgive himself for letting White Lily become Dark Enchantress.

Hollyberry:

Unlike the rest of the Ancients, Hollyberry was BORN chubby and chonky- meaning that she was huggable from the very start!

Whenever someone like Pitaya Dragon crashes her parties post Episode 12, she just asks them to not cause any trouble or steal any cake.

She drowns her sorrows in Berry Juice, which is self explanatory.

Dark Cacao:

He is a fan of macarons, which were once originally hard to come by in his kingdom, but now are abundant in the thousands.

He’s a legend in the horseback riding community, with him and his stallion Jakada (Which was a cheer up gift from The Creme Republic) being a natural riding pair.

He still has nightmares of the time when his family fell apart (His son Dark Choco’s very messed up history when he got the Strawberry Jam Sword; and his wife ChocoPearl temporarily leaving him to help other cookies) and often wakes up screaming, crying, or both.

Golden Cheese:

She’s a genuine philanthropist who wishes to see others happy, and would rather give up everything she ever known than see her kingdom suffer again.

While in the sarcophagus, she didn’t eat ANYTHING for years. Hence why I headcanon her to be very skinny- as in like her bones are showing. This was before she was treated to her daughter Mimi (OC by @thetropicalfairy) and her massive feasts in order to get her strength back up.

When she saw her kingdom destroyed, she recounted not just the names of her most precious treasures, but the names of EVERY casualty.

White Lily:

After the events of Beast Yeast episode 2, she got her own fairy wings- although they’re a little small for the time being, she still takes extra care of them.

She saw Elder Faerie as a father figure to her, and when she told him that she’d do anything to atone for her actions; Elder Faerie simply responded, “White Lily; you’re more of a Faerie Cookie than anyone I’ve ever met.”

Whenever she sees articles of the damage her other half Dark Enchantress caused during the Dark Flour War, she starts bawling remorsefully.

CRK PLAGUE AU

Ok so like first off ty @sweetietoofs for joining me in lore concept dumping very fun get urself someone who joins u for silly game yap sessions

Idk if anyone’s done this yet but if it exists I didn’t know oopsie myb take this as a hc of an au or something

ANYWAY

Cookie run kingdom guys are made to be consumed right? So like even if they’re something weird flavoured they’d still be like edible (yes anything is edible at least once but that’s not the point)

So @sweetietoofs and I were talking about what happens when a cookie sweats(??) like it’s a weird concept but still it kinda happens already in the game(??(im not delusional i promise)) we thought it’d be like melted sugar or chocolate blooms (like what happens when the sugar separates from the coco if u leave choco out for a while(still good just looks gross like mold))

AND THAT GOT ME THINKING ABOUT MOLD. Therefore what cookies would be like when mouldy. BUT the cookies in crk are like alive ppl kinda things so mold(caused by bacteria and infections) would be like an illness or plague to them right??

SO CRK PLAGUE AU SPAWNED YIPEEE

STAGE 1: Dryness

Freshly infected cookies will experience mild discomfort like the feeling that their icing or something isn’t quite right (icing is their clothes right so like clothes don’t feel right Ykyk (sensory issues ppl get me)) and begin to sweat a bit(just enough so their slightly uncomfortable almost all the time

STAGE 2: Staleness (depends on cookie type sorta)

Cookies are now .*+dehydrated.*+ (like u (looking at u person who’s reading this go drink water and stop shimping ik u are)) and now have limited movement bc of no moisture and probably joint pain(wherever those may be since clearly they have elbows at least)

So regular cookies would be crusty and coco based cookies (dark coca and dark choco) would start to have sugar blooms. Liquid based cookies (latte cookie, milk cookie, espresso cookie) would start smelling off. Plant based cookies (herb cookie, white lilly cookie, golden othmantus cookie) would have the tips of their hair/ body start to yellow like dried leaves . I think all cookies would have a change in colour based off cookie type and drying out

STAGE 3: Melt/Ferment (depending on cookie type/ base)

Cookies would begin to have mold appear on them so that mess cream based cookies (clotted cream cookie, strawberry crepe cookie) would start melting. Liquid cookies would smell VERY off and probably begin to solidify ish. OH YEAH water cookies (sea fairy cookie, crimson coral cookie) at this point would start to loose their water resistance

STAGE 4: Mold

Cookies would most DEFINITELY have mold show up. Would be different for each cookie depending on their ingredients obviously but some of em may be more difficult to notice (mystic flour cookie since she’s so pasty) but yeah they’d definitely get fuzzy

STAGE 5: Decay

Ur blorbos are DEAD rip sorry i wanted cookie run angst. Anyway cookies are probably missing limbs/ icing/ hair(??) and are definitely withering away (def not as peaceful as mystic flour thanos snap but yk)

Modern Humans AU - CR:K

OKAY SO, me and a friend have been working (on and off) on a Cookie Run: Modern Humans AU ever since summer of last year.'

While the AU takes place in an alternate reality of ours (America, France, etc etc) do exist, but other fictional countries like Estuilor do! This is where the AU mainly takes place in, particularly in Holmur County that is located in the largest region (Jouhun) of Estuilor.

The country itself has French as a second language while its main language is Estuilsur. This is the entire list of Cookies we have included so far, including OCs!

Pure Vanilla is currently a retired ER Nurse and is now a Botanist, White Lily works in pathology, Espresso is a former Math Teacher now Chemist (he subs in sometimes), Madeleine is a military general of the army, Dark Cacao is a former military general, Wildberry and Crunchy Chip run a massive sheep farm (with Snow Leopard as their recon / barn cat), Golden Cheese & Black Pearl run their respective jewel stores and are rivals... This is the simple list of everyone's jobs, not everyone currently has one but will soon! I don't believe we won't add anyone more to the cast until we have finished filling in all of the current info of our cast.

Once I and my wonderful friend have completed all of the basics, I may open a ask blog for this au (it is quite vast!), and do not worry, the google docs detailing the world and these au variants of our beloved characters will be released soon-ish!

Flicker of the Past

Holy Dart needs comfort, and I wanna give her some. She's adorable (and scary)

Pt. 4 of Broken Unity! Part 3 down below. AU By @cuppajj (I'm happy you like it so far!)

She felt numb.

Her left eye hurt extremely bad, and she couldn't move her body. She remembered she shot the tranquilizer dart at that Cookie, then they caught it... And that's all she remembered.

Opening her good eye, Holy Dart realized she was in a bed. Her cloak was off, revealing her black, sleeveless leather suit. Her left eye was bandaged due to the dart literally puncturing through it like a target.

Holy then jerked up as she noticed this wasn't a room in Saint Vanilla's castle. It seemed more... normal, more modern. She silently went to move before a firm voice made her freeze.

"I suggest not making your wound worse. Your tumble made you impale your side on the gate."

She kept her head low as subtle footsteps made their way next to her. Holy Dart didn't dare look up when Vanilla Flower Tea Cookie stared down at her quietly, the very stare freezing the Lamb to her core. For some reason, she had the feeling she made a grave mistake trying to snipe Vanilla.

Her body wanted to move, but something told her she would die if she even lifted a finger.

The female Cookie jerked slightly when she saw Flower's hands move towards her, then paused when a bowl of warm stew was placed in front of her. Blinking in confusion, Dart slowly looked up at Flower, who glanced back at her. "I can tell you haven't eaten much. Eat this slowly to replenish your strength."

When she was left alone, Holy Dart looked at the food in front of her again, not knowing what to do. She stared at it for a while before her stomach gurgled angrily, wanting to be filled immediately. After conflicting thoughts fought in her head, she slowly brought it to her lips and took a slow sip.

It was the most delicious stew she had ever tasted. It might as well have been the only stew she had ever tasted.

Due to her hunger, she drank it all in one sitting. She didn't eat much, so this was pretty welcoming to her. Holy then looked down at her torso, and saw that bandages were wrapped around tightly, a faint red stain peeking out. So she really did get stabbed in the side.

"..."

After some time had passed, Flower came back inside to collect the bowl, but also to give the young woman some berry tea. Her eyes glanced at the little Lamb, analyzing her condition. Malnourishment, a bit jumpy, and quiet most of the time.

'Poor child... She probably doesn't trust others much.' Flower thought to herself. She walked to the closet, then came back and placed some fresh clothes and a towel at the foot of the bed. "You can use the bathroom if you want. Just be careful with your injury, or you can call for me if you need help." She then left Holy alone again, who simply stared at what was provided for her before sipping the berry tea slowly.

A part of her felt... grateful, for her care. Even though Flower was supposed to be an enemy... Why did Holy feel more... at home here than at the kingdom? No, don't get tricked. It was probably a way to get her fooled.

Looking around, the Lamb noticed pictures and metals near the window. From afar, it looked like something similar to military medals. The pictures showcased a female Cookie, but her appearance was somewhat deadly. Intrigued, Holy slowly moved off the bed and moved closer to pick one up.

When she stared at it, she was surprised. The woman had a leathery, captain-like outfit and two handguns in each hand. Her hair was black, with creamy yellow highlights. Her eyes were both dark red, but her face was extremely familiar.

"..."

Holy then looked at the metals, and saw that their designs were nothing like the medals from the army. Some looked like elegant stars, while others looked extreme - like mini swords or even a spiky heart.

Putting the picture back, Holy sat down on the bed and thought to herself. Just what kind of monster was this Cookie? Was this even the same person? No, there was no way... Then again...

She had heard rumors about this Cookie, even saw her in action one time but she was thankfully spared. Those hungry red eyes would always haunt her memory, even when she came into the Lambs of Penance.

Holy hugged herself, a growing case of fear spreading through her doughy body.

Meanwhile, Vanilla was cooking in the kitchen, Crepe and Choco watching her from the living room. They sipped their tea while looking at a photo book that Vanilla allowed them to peek at. They couldn't help but be impressed at how cute she looked when she was younger. "Wow... She looks so adorable there..." The Cacaoian chuckled softly at a picture of 7-year-old Vanilla Flower holding up a bunch of vanilla orchids.

"Not as adorable as me, but... Still cute." Crepe muttered, blushing slightly at the pure adorableness of their sister figure. Shadow Milk Cookie giggled as he leaned in to get a better look. "I have to say, Nilly's cousin is much more cuter than he was." Crepe glared at him lightly as he raised his hands in surrender. "I'm just saying! She is cute! Then AND now!"

The jester wasn't lying; Flower, to him, looked like an adorable gem. Pure- Saint Vanilla was too when he was a baby, he had to admit. Both looked so innocent in their early lives, but of course you could only stay innocent for so long.

Then, another picture caught all of their attention. It was her face, but she appeared to be in some sort of trial. She had a scythe in her hand as she was in the air, jam spraying around in the air and floor. Her eyes were dark red, but full of fire. They all stared at the picture, then back at Flower who was making a salad, back and forth for a few moments before blinking in confusion.

"Should we ask...?" Crepe whispered. Choco shook his head, "Not yet. Let's go pick another book." Shadow Milk pouted but hovered near Crepe as he leaned his head on his hands. Just when things were getting exciting, of course it had to be ruined.

He then glanced back at Flower, who was cleaning up the table. A sneaky idea popped in his head, and he giggled.

"Don't even think about it." Crepe said softly, glaring at Shadow Milk again. The jester whined but listened, rolling his eyes and crossing his arms. Meanwhile, Choco was still confused...

to celebrate the fact that I have officially made it through four days of work, here's the Milkweed cast if they worked in an amusement park!

because I work in one and I am heavily procrastinating writing action scenes lol

They all work in the children's area, yknow where all the rides have a maximum height of like 48 inches. This is because I work there and all of my coworkers are high school / collage students who aren't paid enough for this shit

Pure Vanilla and Pomegranate are both supervisors, with Vanilla actively working to bend the rules of the mangers and Pomegranate who is actively trying to curse Vanilla for ruining her chances at a promotion

Werehound, Dark Choco, Milkweed, & Yew Berry are collage students who took the job as a way to make money during the summer, and they genuinely have no idea what possessed them to deal with this shit. Milkweed and Yew Berry are very loud and out about being lesbians, and are the sole reason that PDA is banned while on the clock

Werehound is the local criptid. They show up, get assigned a ride, and then fuck off for the rest of the day. icon honestly

Dark Choco doesn't actually want to be here, but it pays a bit over minimal wage and nobody gives a shit if he spends half the time zoned out, so why the hell not

Licorice and Red Velvet are juniors in high school, and this was the only job that hired them. They spend half their shifts goofing off, but hey nobody actually gives a shit about the ride operators for this part of the park

Nobody knows where the fuck Poison Mushroom came from. They just kinda showed up and runs a ice cream stand near the carousel. The running theory is that one of the managers really likes them.

Strawberry Crepe really shouldn't be here, because they're only 15 but their parents forged their paperwork to get them a ride operation job. They refuse to spill the secret, but everybody knows. They'll still keep it, because Crepe's the only one in this goddamn park that knows how to operate the balloons and that's the most popular ride

The entire group has a group chat, which does include Pomegranate but she's muted and gets kicked every few days.

Happy (late) birthday to Meringue Cookie who belongs to @minecraftninjerkid! The OC ever /pos. Didn't really know what to do so I drew her with her interdimensional half-brother (My beloved child Liege Waffle Cookie who I also put thru the horrors /j). I did the math and I realized that Liege Waffle would be older than Meri, that'd make for an interesting dynamic...

I also thought of a silly little alternate universe were they exist together, feel free to ignore tho 🥺.

So, if my memory serves right; Meri was born back when the old Vanilla Kingdom was already a thing, and since Liege Waffle was born around the time Pure Vanilla obtained his Soul Jam—meaning WAY before he was even a king yet—that'd make Liege Waffle at LEAST an older teen/young adult when White Lily reunites with the other Ancient heroes and announces she had Meri. Liege Waffle's mom (Apricot Cookie) had already passed away years ago and while PV loved her dearly, has unearthed the feelings he once had for WL, so he accepts the child and WL into his family.

Now, since Liege Waffle already had a lot of self-esteem issues by this point, with his father busy running the kingdom to make time for him and Liege not really connecting with the other heirs of the Ancients (Dark Choco and Royalberry)... Now, he has to deal with his apparent 'half-sister' that appeared quite literally out of nowhere, he view Meri as his 'replacement' and absolutely hated her guts for just existing in his home— he felt more alone than ever.

He didn't attend the weeding.

Liege Waffle spends the next few years at the Wafflebot Hangar and/or his personal laboratory tending to his inventions like he had always done, refusing to acknowledge WL as his 'mom' or even Meri as his 'sister' for that matter; PV tried to tell him he was acting unreasonable rude and that all of them were family now, but Liege Waffle continued to disregard them, and continued inventing more Wafflebots.

One day, little Meri managed to sneak into Liege Waffle's personal laboratory and breaks a prototype he was creating by accident. That made Liege finally snap at her and basically yelled "We may have the same father, but you aren't my sister and never was!". Meri runs in tears and next thing he knew he was being scolded like a child by PV and WL.

Around this time he also takes in Strawberry Crepe as his apprentice and just so happens that Meri stopped trying to get close to the Wafflebot Hangar to actually meet them... Mmh...

Then, the first Sugar Flare happened.

For the first time in forever, Liege Waffle feels another emotion towards Meri that isn't hate or spitefulness... But pity.

He sees how everyone starts to hate her—or rather, FEAR her, because of something even she doesn't understand. Almost like... Him. Everyone only sees him as a Wafflebot creating machine rather than a prince, only a tool that creates weapons to defend their home.

She was like him.

However, he realizes that a bit too late, because the Dark Flour War took everything away.

He has the fight™ with PV and gets send away with some other Vanillians to be put '''safely''' in a cryogenic pot and Meri gets put in the Moonstone that sealed Dark Enchantress.

While Meri would later get freed by Gingerbrave and co. and then her adventures as Emissary of Earthbread would unfold, Liege Waffle would remain in his frozen state inside the cryogenic chamber for much longer.

By the time he got found by Black Raisin, Espresso and Strawberry Crepe (between the end of Cookie Odyssey and the beginning of Dragon Quest) Meri would be fully grown and no longer the child he despised so much.

Probably many other things happen, probably his grudge against her would grow because of how important she had become while he got buried into obscurity. But, in the end... I think they could reconcile.

They'll be fine.
