There's this group of 6 very different people that often don't get along. There's the muscle of the group who gets along best with this black woman who's really charismatic, but has a really rough relationship with their ex. There's this wreck with substance issues who often relies on the aforementioned black woman but is also a flaming homosexual. Can be spotted in a crop top and leather pants. Has curly hair and wears eyeliner. There's a guy with scars that people often find irritating (the guy not the scars) There's a guy whose existence is debatable and non linear, who acts older than they physically are, who is solving a problem the others had no idea about. There's the one trans guy who people often exclude. There's also very much a dead guy who hangs around the addict.

This applies to both my ocs and the cast of umbrella academy. Neither of which had anything to do with the other. I started watching the show today and made the characters 3 years ago. Literally not a single thing is inspired from this show. Yet they're basically the same characters. Even down to the minutiae of the identities.

My @loominggaia OCs ancestry

I've been looking at various ancestries for characters as I requested ancestry posts for my knowledge.

So, here's my own with various OC's ancestry:

Saraia: She was born and raised in the Blue Valley right before Evangeline started enslaving fae and gaians, and I've mentioned she had black hair and red eyes. I noticed the only real elven race with red eyes are the Damijan or Faefaras, but I don't believe she has any Damijan in her, so her eyes are probably from Faefaras heritage.

The only native elven group in Noalen are the Namarie, although she really does not have much of their DNA in her.

I will say that, like Feredil, Saraia is stacked compared to other elves. She did have a gender reassignment transmutation young, so I think she has enough Tanyel DNA to see her leave puberty meatier than other elves. She's also ripped for an elf, although that just means she's maybe as strong as a preteen human.

Her dark hair is probably from Marienna and Aiya DNA.

So all in all, Saraia is most likely predominantly Tanyel and Faefaras with significant amounts of Marienna or Aiya, and maybe traces of Boanningwad and Namarie, but not a lot.

Amber

I've said that Amber has the following in her fic:

Navy and Orange Tail Skin

Is a Cetesirene

Has Dark Skin (As dark as Jelani's specifically)

Blue Hair Fading to White

Orange Eyes

A Single Tail Fluke, with a large swoop and points on it

Straight Hair

Here's the Sirene Races chart for our viewing pleasure:

Looking at the different species, there's 2 very obvious races for her coloration: The Gilgene and Tangene. These obviously make up a good chunk of her DNA

Her tail fluke is also very similar to a Lillagene, and they have sufficiently dark skin and the straight hair on top of that, especially when mixed the with comparatively pasty Tangene.

The main issue: She's a Cetesirene, and all 3 of those are Ichthysirene races. Looking at the Cetesirene races, it's pretty likely she has Monogalla in her and maybe some other ones as well.

All in all, her heritage is likely mostly Lillagene and Gilgene with significant Tangene and Monogalla.

Alt Ending OCs

Krug helps Cyangeline out in my third Alt Ending for CAIL, and he's mostly Grenil with a lot of Brunak and in there too.

Yip-pi-Popo is basically 100% Grassland Gnoll.

Shuck is mostly Hukus with some Skadgrik as well.

dying bc i have an oc named cail and this is, as you can imagine, a problem bc that’s not really a first name and said aloud it is the leafy green vegetable, which i’ve been roasted for many times… and the first time i have ever heard it applied to a human being is in a bonus episode of you’re wrong about where sarah comes up with a goofy pseudonym for the extended story of a random dude who falls tragically in love with a twitch streamer. i don’t know if i feel vindicated or worse now

Notes on inner monologue:

Izzy's inner monologue is overly dramatic and self loathing. Constant grand statements, ramblings and trains of thought that get off the track immediately. A lot of overthinking. The word fuck is overused. Sentences sound like dialogue. The metaphors are simplistic.

"The shower is cold and sharp. I revel in its clarity, while watching the water turn red as it spirals towards the drain. While running my fingers through my hair I identifying every bruise, welt and wound. My hands travel down to my bruised neck, still sore from yesterday. My breath hitches and shallows until I'm barely breathing. Tears start running and I don't know why. I can't breathe. Fuck. Why. My mind keeps flashing back to yesterday. Why am I crying? I had been dreaming of it for weeks. Why? I can't hate what happened so why do I still hate so much? I can't stay here, crying in the shower, barely even standing. Why am I still here, I should just- the door opens... [-]"

Julia's inner monologue is characterised by constant thoughts directed at God. Completely black and white world view. Long, layered sentences, laced with poetic metaphors. Ramblings, but less so of the overthinking kind (think: Izzy) and moreso about the state of the world.

Heddy's inner monologue is pragmatic. It sounds as though she's always brain storming. She is afraid of her own thoughts, so she jumps around a lot. She stops thoughts when they get too real. She is afraid of who she is, but she hides that fear as well. She is tired with herself and everyone around her.

"I had missed my chance, I, the utter idiot, too occupied with not getting spotted. If he dies then it's... my fault. It would've been anyway, but here I have to witness it. Having thawed my feet out of frozen fear, but still mentally trying to distance myself from the thought of these idiots dying here because of me, I ran along the river until I saw the skinny idiot fighting tooth and nail to hold both of them up. Still alive."

Roz's inner monologue consists of short, straight to the point sentences. Almost like Hedry, constantly trying to make sense of her surroundings and trying to come to the most logical conclusions. Often leads to over thinking.

Cail's inner monologue is erratic. Random snippets of surrounding radio stations get interjected. There's a lot of extra information they're constantly taking in. Noticeably less visual descriptions of their surroundings. Inner monologue is heavily influenced by classical literature.

Mika's inner monologue is very technical. Might include long lists. The descriptions are detailed, slightly influenced due to him being the eyes for Cail. Less than average emotions present (in contrast to Hedry's and Izzy's inner monologues).
