hi ok it's been a hot minute. life sucks, depression sucks, art is hard to finish, but here take a random meme drawing of my oc with their gf :)))

the one on the right is my main oc, Dalia (they/them). this is a dc comics oc, and they're a gotham rogue named Cherry Bomb! i posted a wip of them a little while ago, which i'm making slow progress on. like i tried working on it today and drew this instead soooo

anyway the one one the left is their gf, Luna (she uses she/her and he/him but identifies as a cis woman). i'm still workshopping her concept but right now my idea for her is that he's a former vigilante associated w the batfam who retired fairly early (but still keeps in contact, and considers them her family) and knows about her girlfriends criminal activities and doesn't give a fuck.

they're both in like their early 20s, luna is about a year younger but i don't have solid ages for them yet, and she's also much taller than dalia and they adore each other.

i have more ideas for both of them, but i don't want this post to be super long. just drew this and wanted to share, i hope you guys like them and if you have any questions shoot me an ask either here or on my main blog, @stargazinglesbian, sorry for the rant!!!!

My favourite thing ever is that whenever I show anyone the ocs, Nela is immediately the favourite. It has been like that every time so far, without fail, and it gives me so much joy because she is so fun and her design is also my favourite

So! In short!

Nela is. The sun. But like also quite LITERALLY. She is a sun. One of the two suns circling around their planet, in fact! The other one, the braids red-orange girl Dalia, is her older sister

Nela is very, very young for a sun. In fact she's only a bit over 500 years old, compared to her sister who's thousands of years older. They... didn't really end up getting along well, soon after Nela grew from a star to become a full-fledged sun, which finally eventually ended up in a very heavy argument

Which in turn ended up with Dalia... striking Nela down from the heaven and making her fall to the ground, becoming the only sun on the sky in turn. Meanwhile Nela, after hibernating for years and recovering her energy after the fall, found she lost a lot of her power and she wasn't as hot anymore – which made it possible for her to walk amongst people! And since she had no interest in going back to heaven after everything, and was very curious about people down on the ground, she set off to travel and discover the world and spread her warmth around

The only problem is that... a certain part of the planet isn't doing so well, with their literal sun gone.....

what app do you use for your ocs and writing?

For my OCs I use a multitude of apps! I actually use around 6 apps in total so here’s a breakdown of it.

Firstly it goes without saying I use Tumblr and their specified tags in the pinned post of my blog to save posts or images that remind me of the characters and have their specific vibes or looks.

Further on that note I use Pinterest and Foretelling. Pinterest is entirely to document their appearance as well as the tone of their look, their designated animal and other symbolic elements, as well as environmental aspects. I use Foretelling to document their lore and important aspects in writing, ages, names, heights, backstory, motivations, strengths and weaknesses, flaws and so on. My main tool that I refer to back the most is Foretelling so it’s pretty important!

These are the Pinterest and Foretelling categories respectively and how I keep them organized.

I also use Procreate to draw my OCs and keep sheets of their looks, as well as their heights, sizes, regular design traits and specific clothing they might wear as well as… just illustrating them lol. As for properly writing, so far my favorite tools are Notes/Word for rough drafts that I can edit later and writing down ideas on the spot, and Ellipsus for writing full scenes or sections of stories. I find Ellipsus super easy to work with and it flows super nicely once I have a basic idea of where I want my scene to go.
