This is a contest where you are encouraged to create, share, and fight to the death for the sake of your most prized character! Make art and writing for propaganda, tell us all about them, and face off against one another in a series of randomized polls narrowing down who will win the TF2 OC Contest of 2024!

RULES FOR SUBMISSION:

Your character must be original and be directly related to TF2. 

This can be any kind of OC: Class OCs, tenth class OCs, Machine/robot OCs, Team Fortress Classic OCs, OCs who work outside of TFI (such as assistants to Merasmus or Saxton Hale), YLW/GRN OCs, Teufort citizen/civilian OCs, anything—as long as they are directly related to TF2 and are yours !!!! If you have concerns about this, please dm or send an ask to this account BEFORE submitting your character !!!!

2. !!!! ONE OC PER PERSON !!!!

If you are submitting an original tenth class OC, you are allowed to submit a RED and BLU variant in one bundle. This is the ONLY bundling that is allowed.

Any posts from this blog involving your OC will follow this system of tags: #TF2OcContest2024, #[your tumblr username], #the [class name], & #[character name] (if applicable)

3. You are still allowed to submit an OC even if you’ve never posted them anywhere before. Make an oc for the contest if you want!

An image representing your character and a description of your character are REQUIRED upon submission. Details on what is permitted for each of these are included in the submission form below.

4. Propaganda is allowed and ENCOURAGED, even for others’ OCs!

If you make propaganda including other OCs, you are required to have the creator’s explicit permission before posting. Joking, lighthearted ‘smear campaign’ type propaganda is fine, but again—both parties must consent to this and no real harm should come from it. 

Please post any propaganda of your OC under the #TF2OcContest2024 tag.

5. You are not required to make new art. If you participated in the previous OC Tourney hosted by @/tf2shipswag, you are allowed to reuse any old art you made for that, including your half of the VS cards! 

6. AI GENERATED IMAGES FOR SUBMISSIONS AND PROPAGANDA ARE STRICTLY PROHIBITED. YOU WILL BE BANNED.

There will be NO TEAM-UPS for organization’s sake. Any ties will be broken with a coin-flip and a quick shot to the head by Miss Pauling—so aim to win.

Keeper -- a short comic about an angel meeting a robotic lighthouse keeper that doesn't know the world has already ended. Made in about 18 hours for a 24-hour 24-page* black and white comic challenge (that I arrived late to, ha.)

*the actual submission does not include the cover, which was created after the fact for this post.

This was a really great learning experience as someone who's... never really made a completed comic. I ended up really attached to the story by the end of the project (possibly due to all-nighter deliriousness lol) and ultimately am very proud of what I made.There are some things I'd still like to change, particularly text placement, but in keeping with the spirit of the challenge I've elected to leave it as is.

Star Fox: Crisis - Husky Squad 003 Recruit Contest

Attention Good Boys! Rebecca Renard has some news for you! Husky Squad is recruiting.

Ok, doing this ate more time than I realized and now I'm fully burnt out. Anyhoo, for some reason you guys really loved the last Husky Squad. Dunno if its because of the glacial speed of my uploads, or if you're all big Bill fans. Or of my beautiful little girl, Fox (that would make me extremely happy.) Don't know, but regardless, I had the idea of doing another OC contest, but it's not pony related, it's star fox related! I've got another Husky Squad comic to feature OC's in, and then, the big one, a planned cameo spot in Star Fox Crisis! So here's the details.

The Details:

My patrons on Patreon get first dibs. Huzzah, finally something for you guys!

OC's must be your own.

OC's must be hosted on DA for me to reference.

This is Star Fox themed, so your OC's must fit into the Star Fox universe. Nothing unusual, weird, or exotic. (If you're unsure, Miyu from Star Fox 2 is the most unusual you can get, since what she is is a mystery. Use her as a guide.)

Since this is Husky Squad, canine type OC's are given priority, since cornerians from Corneria are mostly dogs, and this is the Cornerian Navy.

Other types will be considered. If your OC is a species native to Lylat that has been shown in a Star Fox game or comic, it'll have a good chance to be picked. (The human from the unused art assets of Star Fox 2 is not acceptable.)

Not everyone who enters will be chosen. There will be more than one chosen though.

My selection methods are my own, I need not state why or how.

There is no ETA on when the Husky Squad comic or the Star Fox Crisis comic featuring your OC will be uploaded. Heck, the Star Fox Crisis might not be till next year or something. I dunno.

Murder Drones Headcanon: Time Travel

In my personal Murder Drones headcanon, time travel is possible (although there is a limit to how far into the past you can go but no limit to how far into the future you can go), and all Murder Drones AUs coexist with the main Murder Drones canon as branching timelines which are the result of time travelers messing with the timeline (Changing the past does NOT change the future, but rather creates a separate, alternate timeline which exists independently from the main one. Basically MCU and DBZ time travel logic). There is also the Ministry of Timeline Preservation (MTP), an organization which is dedicated to preventing the further creation of new branching timelines and in some cases erasing existing ones if they are deemed as a threat. A total of 1,277 branching timelines have been created ever since time travel became possible, and 129 of them have been erased over the course of the MTP’s history, so 1,148 branching timelines currently remain.

Murder Drones Time Machine Design Contest!

I would also love to see a design for a Time Machine which is fitting for the Murder Drones universe, so I am holding a contest to see what all of you guys can come up with! You have until August 5th at 12:00 PM UTC to reblog this post and attach your art of your time machine! After that, I will conduct a poll including your submissions which will run for a week to decide the winner!

Edit: I originally set the deadline to July 25th, but @electrozeistyking suggested that more time was necessary for the contest, so I’ve extended the deadline!
