how about thieves' gallery?

Thieves’ Gallery is a very recent one and I haven’t yet worked out a source if conflict, but it focuses on a fairly small guild of thieves in a sort of fantasy world. Intelligent species of this fantasy world include humans, mages (people who can use magic), cat people, goat people, and demons, though more can possibly be added to make it more diverse.

Tristan Aalders is the leader of this guild, and is arguably the best at actual thieving. While nowhere near as strong as others, he’s faster, sneakier, and wittier, able to use those to outsmart adversaries (usually law enforcement) to get away. He’s also, in the words of Xande, much too kind. Tristan is a very religious man and since he can’t really leave this profession, he tries to do as much good as he possibly can, taking in runaways, allowing desperate people who were forced to thieve somewhere to stay until they can get back on their feet, although the process of actually being let anywhere near the camp is very ruthless and thorough, as to keep it safe.

Conall Heffernan is a demon who has taken over someone’s body through a deal and is quite frankly a piece of shit. No one actually knows he’s a demon, but that doesn’t stop anyone from disliking him, except for Tristan and that was out of pity at first. Tristan took him in as he seemed desperate, trying to rob thieves of food, since he was and needed to keep his human body in good shape, which involved eating. He managed to pass the initiation ritual, much to the displeasure of everyone else and has sort of became Tristan’s apprentice. He’s not very malicious if terrible, and just wants try out being human and escape from Hell.

Xande Tolvaj is Tristan’s right-hand man and most trusted ally. He’s very laid back, preferring to let Tristan do all the hard work and just what he has too, but he’s not afraid to criticize him and is just as intelligent and in some ways more than his leader. He’s the older brother of Zita and can be very protective of her, which is usually the only time others see his scary side, though she doesn’t really need him and can find it a bit annoying at times.

Zita Tolvaj is their best and most loyal doctor at the guild. She’s very determined at her job, seeing as her father died of an injury doctors couldn’t treat in time and her mother of a disease doctors couldn’t cure, leaving her and her brother orphaned. She’s mostly self-taught but her dedication to perfecting the craft more than makes up for it. She’s a lot more commanding and than her brother, working with stubborn thieves that don’t know what’s best for them and is quick to anger. Despite her grievances with her patients, she cares too much about lives and will never let another person suffer if she can help it.
