#OC : Al the Reagent-1847

This is my reagent OC Al or Reagent-1847!

(Edited because I was unhappy with the original. He was half baked when I first posted. I'm much happier with his story now!)

He was disowned at 14 after coming out as trans, he spent a few years homeless before finding a job at a hotel that was a front for a brothel and drug trafficking. Starting off as a bellhop with no knowledge of what goes on behind the scenes, eventually he was trusted enough with errands. Becoming a sort of security guard for the girls, getting into plenty of fights with rowdy men when he wasn’t on drug runs. Working up enough money to pay for top surgery and start testosterone while keeping his head down. After a few years the ring got busted, luckily he escaped arrest by being out on a drug run. Now homeless again he was very excited when he found the flyers for Murkoffs charity centers, for a short while at least. 

Once in Sinyala it took him a little bit to settle down, eventually making a group of “friends” he stuck with, never running trials without them. Working their way up to mostly intensive with the occasional psychosurgery. He was fiercely protective of his team, often going out of his way to protect them. Until they abandoned him at the end of a Grind the Bad Apples run resulting in Gooseberry getting a hold of him and mutilating his right calf. With the help of a brick and adrenaline, he manages to just barely make it back to the shuttle. Killing 2 teammates and severely injuring another in an adrenaline fueled rage. 

Easterman of course wasn’t pleased with the collateral but he admired Al’s determination. Promising him a prosthetic leg, but also promising to kill him if he ever killed another reagent. Also suggesting Al train new reagents, to which he reluctantly agrees. While recovering he spent a lot of time doing introductory trials slowly working his way up to harder trials while adjusting to his new limb. He spends a lot of his spare time running solo trials to come up with the most efficient way to go through them as well as improving his strength (he’s great at arm wrestling). 

How he acts in the sleep room is very different from how he acts in trials. In the sleep room he’s pretty quiet, only really talking to Dorris (they enjoy gossiping) or working on his survival journal/doodles. He comes off as standoffish but is friendly if approached, just really awkward. While in the trials he’s very bossy, assigning people jobs and making sure everything goes smoothly. Going out of his way to protect any of the newer reagents. He doesn’t have any groups he’s super consistent with, still having some trust issues due to being abandoned so he likes to make sure he’s the most skilled in his group. But he knows some newer reagents need someone to “hold their hands” through multiple trials. 

He doesn’t have a canon ending due to the game having so many good potential endings I want to explore with him. But he does enjoy the facility in some fucked up way.
