DND OC LORE??? SINCE WHEN??? Anyway my beloved dnd character (the elf) and his husband (the dragon born) are in the centre and both their fathers are above/below. because they're literally the generational trauma package deal

long story short: one murders his children and the other is involved with highly unethical magic which leads him ultimately messing with his own magic and leaving himself damaged and on the run

alone: How does your OC deal with loneliness? Have they ever been completely alone before? How do they act when there's no one around to see them?

Not well. At first, it’s a welcome opportunity to work and delve into his hobbies. Then, his attention shifts to his personal life: he plots out potential arguments to preemptively “solve” them; reevaluates every decision he’s ever made; and plans the trajectory of all of his relationships.

After too much time alone with his thoughts, a switch flips and he is suddenly desperate for anyone at all to talk to. He writes profusely to everyone he knows, (which, in his defense, is a short list), then uses his illusory abilities to convince himself he isn’t alone, actually, and that everything’s just fine and dandy! :) His self-loathing quickly turns this into the Everyone Hates You Simulator 3000, and things spiral drastically from there.

This is a pretty regular cycle for him since he doesn’t ever leave his house and just waits for Bislear or Cydas to visit. Overall, he’s very familiar with isolation, just not at all at peace with it.

future: What's the worst possible future for your OC? Are they taking steps to avoid that outcome? Are they even aware it's a possibility?

To Nuvian, the worst thing that could ever happen to him is being abandoned. If he’s a figment of other people’s imagination, what happens when there’s no one around to dream him up..? He obsesses over the possibility to no end, and he would sacrifice anything and everything to prevent it.

Some may say that the future he is pursuing for himself to avoid said possibility is "worse than death" or "hellish," but what they don't understand is that the power of Love can sustain him through anything, even a complete surrender of perception and autonomy!! If you disagree you just hate LOVE and/or evil brain parasites. Those things are basically equivalent in his opinion, though.
