george michael, who died seven years ago today, spent his life making private donations to organizations fighting AIDS, homelessness and poverty, including a donation to omwabini in west kenya that helped it grow to new heights. one story alleges he overheard a stranger in a cafe speaking of her debts and had a waitress give her a check he wrote for 25,000 pounds after he left. he anonymously volunteered at homeless shelters. he held a free concert for NHS nurses for his gratitude for his mother's care during her battle with breast cancer. sali hughes stated that he once tipped a barmaid five thousand pounds to help with her debts. he facilitated a trip for 250 disabled and terminally ill children to take a holiday vacation to lapland. when doing press for his big album drop for "older," he gave the exclusive to big issue, a paper devoted to helping unhoused people make income. he donated thousands to two separate women who he saw on television trying to pay for IVF -- one of them found out she was pregnant the day he died. radio dj mick brown said george quietly donated 100,000 pounds every easter to Help a London Child to support poor children.
these are only a few of the charitable acts he did. he did many of these things anonymously, intentionally so. but the thing is when you do so many things that touch so many lives, they tend to outlive you long after you're gone. i think of him every Christmas, and i wish he was still with us. but i'm glad we had him at all.

IT'S TIME TO APPRECIATE THE BLACK AND RUFOUS ELEPHANT SHREW
ON THIS WEBSITE WE LOVE WEIRD ANIMALS AND THIS LITTLE BEAUTY IS CERTAINLY ONE OF THEM. APPRECIATE THE BLACK AND RUFOUS ELEPHANT SHREW TODAY.
NATIVE TO DENSE MONTANE FORESTS OF KENYA AND TASMANIA, THEY BOUNCED BACK FROM 'THREATENED STATUS' BUT STILL FACE HABITAT LOSS DUE TO FOREST FRAGMENTATION.
THESE BEAUTIFUL VACUUM CLEANERS EAT BUGS OUT OF THE LEAF LITTER WITH THEIR NOODLY SNOOT, CAPABLY UNCOVERING BEETLES, CENTIPEDES, AND TERMITES.
MALES ATTRACT AND DEFEND A SINGLE MATE AND CONTROL UP TO A HECTARE OF TERRITORY, WHICH IS A LOT FOR A LITTLE SCOOP OF SPITE AND SNOOTING.
THESE EFFICIENT LITTLE BUSYBODIES BUILD MANY NESTS OUT OF DRY LEAVES TO SLEEP IN ALL ACROSS THE AREA, AS MANY AS A DOZEN, AND USE THEM EACH IN TURN.
DESPITE THEIR COMMITTED MONOGAMY THE BLACK AND RUFOUS ELEPHANT SHREWS DO NOT ACTUALLY LIKE EACH OTHER, MUCH LIKE TIRED BOOMER COMEDIANS: MATED PAIRS SPEND NO TIME TOGETHER OUTSIDE OF MATING.
MOTHERS DON'T EVEN LIKE THEIR KIDS. THEY VISIT THEIR YOUNG AS INFREQUENTLY AS ONCE A DAY TO NURSE. THEY GOT OTHER SHIT TO DO, APPARENTLY.
THE YOUNG ARE LESS PRECOCIAL THAN MOST ELEPHANT SHREWS, SPENDING SEVERAL WEEKS IN THEIR NESTS BEFORE GAINING INDEPENDENCE IN ONLY ANOTHER FEW WEEKS AND NEVER WRITING HOME AGAIN, NOT THAT THEIR PARENTS CARE.
THIS HEFTY AND BEAUTIFUL DEDICATED INTROVERT AVERAGES ABOUT 28 CM / 11 IN IN LENGTH AND 450-700 G / 16-25 OZ IN WEIGHT, IMPRESSIVELY LARGE EVEN FOR AN ELEPHANT SHREW.
YOU HAVE NOW APPRECIATED: THE BLACK AND RUFOUS ELEPHANT SHREW. INSECTIVORE. INTROVERT. ABSENT PARENT. SNAPPY DRESSER. THIS PRINCELY POTATO HAS IT ALL, AND A DOZEN VACATION HOMES. TELL YOUR FRIENDS, UNLESS YOU TOO ARE A BLACK AND RUFOUS ELEPHANT SHREW AND DON'T HAVE ANY.

Reagent OC!!
Template made by GLITCHEDDEAD (you can find them here on tmblr!!) (I’m too scared to tag…)
Some info about her!!! (TW, r@cism because Coyle ykyk)
Born in Kenya, 1921. She moved to America when she turned 35. There she had 3 children with an unknown American man who left her to be a single mother. She was in need of money and so she stumbled upon Murkoff’s flyer.
In trials Juali is known to be an amazing negotiator, and so is often used as distraction. Her facial scarring is a result of the first and only time she went in a trial alone (KILL THE SNITCH). Even though she requested the trial to be introductory, Coyle didn’t hold back and burnt the skin on her lower jaw (likely due to Coyle’s r@cism).To prevent glass and dirt infecting the wound, Juali preformed a skin transplant on herself with the nearest body she could find. It was messy due to lack of supplies and Juali’s memory of medical school to be hazy. Every time Coyle sees her he mocks her.
Her relationships with the others are complicated.
-She likes to talk to Cornelius, they share things in common and he doesn’t bother to lie to her.
-Emily is a kind kid, Juali just wishes she got to work in a better place.
-Dorris is complicated, Juali wants to help her get out, but it seems Dorris has other things in mind.
-Juali sees past the Gooseberry persona, and wants to help Phyllis heal. It’s just the alter of Dr. Futterman scares her too bad to try and help. This place takes advantage of the mentally ill and shapes them into monsters.
-Franco is the easiest to negotiate with. After all, all he wants is a mother’s touch. Usually their interactions end up with them striking a deal that Franco can nurse off of Juali for while, whilst the other reagents can get a head start.
Her only goal is to ensure the safety of her children, no matter if it costs her life.
Side note: I really wish that all the prime assets got help instead of Murkoff using their delusions for their own benefit… I truly love all ex pops and prime assets ofc.

hi, could I ask if @/onedreamerhamdi is a legit acc? The blog is very new so I’m suspicious but I thought I should ask anyway. Thank you!
although I came up with nothing when i entered their ask and the paypal name on the search tab, i believe this to be a SCAM. it looks like the usual style of posts made by past scammers that have been taken down, particularly the one whose paypal was found out to be from Kenya
let's ask @kyra45 and @neechees for their opinion.
(if anyone can add an ID to the screenshots above I would be very grateful. not feeling very up to it atm as i'm currently nursing a sore throat and a headache from the heat)

strangers — gojo satoru x geto suguru
✧ summary: one random night when everything changes…
✧ content: 3k+ words, 18+ slight sexual content (MDNI) angst (with an eventual happy ending!), fluff, they love each other but suguru is :(, satoru doesn’t understand, hints of depression
every word they say sounds just like him.
satoru sighed deeply before raising his fist to knock on the door in front of him. before his knuckles even had a chance to connect with the wood, it was thrown open to reveal ieiri with a cigarette hanging loosely from her lips. she was wearing a shit-eating grin, which was never a good sign. satoru narrowed his eyes and frowned, “i don’t know what you’re up to, but i know it can’t be good.”
“how dare you?” ieiri crossed her arms, “i’m not always scheming, you know.”
the flash of mischief in her eyes said otherwise.
ieiri and her wife, iori, were throwing a house-warming party to celebrate the purchase of their new condo. satoru was particularly happy about this investment, seeing as they were the first people in the friend group to have a place bigger than a two bedroom apartment. that meant more opportunities for bigger parties. satoru just shook his head and followed ieiri inside, taking a look around at all of the decorations.
“looks great in here. let me guess, utahime did everything?”
“what can i say?” ieiri shrugged, “my girl knows what she’s doing. if it were up to me, this place would be covered in anime figures and funko pops.”
“which is exactly why decorating was never an option for you, beautiful,” iori joked, sneaking up behind ieiri and kissing her cheek before focusing her attention on satoru, “hi, gojo. nice to see you, i guess.”
satoru and iori had an ongoing “hatred” toward each other that thoroughly entertained their friends. in high school, they genuinely did hate one another, but college changed that. they became fast friends due to mutual classes. now, they simply kept up the act for the sake of their friends’ entertainment.
“same to you, utahime. love what you’ve done with the place. did you get your interior design skills from the university of gojo satoru?” he smirked when she rolled her eyes and walked away. even though they got along now, messing with her was truly still one of his favorite pastimes.
“everybody is already here,” ieiri said, snubbing her cigarette out in a nearby ashtray, “there’s someone new that i’m excited for you to meet.” she wiggled her eyebrows. this earned a groan from satoru.
“i fucking knew you were going to try and set me up with someone tonight. how many times do i have to tell you that i’m not interested?” satoru pouted, continuing to follow ieiri to what he can only assume is the living room.
“i think this one will be a little different,” shoko winked before turning the corner, “alright, everyone! the life of the party is here, so give him your best greetings.”
satoru turned the corner himself, grinning widely as he looked around at all of his friends. kento, yu, choso, and yuki were all gathered together on the couches. as he looked to the right, he was greeted by an unfamiliar face. his breath caught in his throat. staring back at him was the most beautiful person he had ever seen in his life. and he meant that, too.
long, black hair that reached to about chest level, half of it tied up in a perfect bun. skin that looked so smooth to the touch. gauges, an eyebrow piercing, a nose ring. detailed tattoos up and down his right arm. violet eyes that were so incredibly hypnotizing.
he couldn’t look away.
to his pleasure, it seemed the man couldn’t either.
satoru jumped when ieiri attempted to throw her arm around his shoulders, something that was quickly proving to be very difficult due to their height difference, “gojo, meet geto suguru. he started working with me at the hospital around a month ago. he’s a nurse.”
suguru.
a lovely name for a seemingly lovely person.
“nice to meet you.”
even his voice was perfect.
“you too,” satoru nodded, eyes lingering on suguru’s own before turning to the rest of the crowd with outstretched arms and a smile, “who’s ready to drink?”
yu’s hand shot straight in the air.
we’ll get in your car and you’ll lean to kiss me.
suguru pressed a chaste kiss to the back of satoru’s hand while simultaneously opening the car door for him. he chuckled quietly when he noticed the redness coloring satoru’s cheeks, crimson visible even in the darkness of the night.
it had been about two weeks since the two of them had met at shoko and utahime’s house-warming party, and they had been talking every day since. some messages innocent, others not so much, but they were both head over heels for each other and knew that their relationship wasn’t going to be a simple fling.
that was how they’d ended up in suguru’s car, driving to a very expensive restaurant that had prices so high it made satoru want to throw up. but, suguru insisted.
“only the best for the prettiest human being to exist,” he’d said. satoru had blushed dark red then, too.
suguru’s hand rested gently on satoru’s thigh as he drove. satoru wondered how it was possible for someone to look so….breathtaking when they were driving, but whatever it was, suguru had completely mastered it.
the drive was quiet, aside from suguru’s soft humming and their short conversations, but it was a comfortable silence, and satoru really liked that.
once they arrived, suguru opened the door for satoru like a gentleman and guided him through the restaurant with a protective hand on his lower back.
dinner itself was filled with delicious food, lots of laughter and an understanding between the both of them that things were going exceptionally well.
they were sitting in the parking lot of satoru’s apartment complex afterward, light tunes playing in the background of the car as they continued to talk about anything and everything possible. after suguru said something particularly funny and satoru laughed so hard he snorted, they stared at each other for a good while, violet eyes clashing with blue before suguru reached up and caressed satoru’s cheek gently.
“you really are so beautiful.”
satoru felt his cheeks get hot once again as he muttered a quiet, “thank you.”
suguru smiled and asked, “can i kiss you? been thinking about doing it all night.”
satoru’s breath was caught in his throat, but he still tried to choke out a response. he eventually gave up on words and nodded quickly, which made suguru laugh as he leaned in and pressed their lips together for the first time.
electricity and sparks, whatever the hell else people said about kisses between soulmates was something that satoru always brushed aside. it was all bullshit and made up.
his kiss with suguru obliterated that thought completely.
suguru was his soulmate, he was sure of it. there was no other explanation for the feeling he got when their lips touched, when suguru’s fingers carefully threaded through his hair. they both pulled away, panting heavily and trying to catch their breath after a few extra seconds.
satoru was staring at suguru with wide eyes, and suguru was staring right back. something in the air immediately shifted, and satoru noticed that his lips were moving quicker than his brain could keep up with when he said, “please come up.”
it worked in his favor though, because suguru smirked, an evil yet extremely sexy smile and said, “your wish is my command, baby.”
we’ll talk for hours and lie on the backseat.
“fuck, you’re so perfect.” suguru panted, pulling away from satoru’s mouth. a bead of saliva kept them connected, almost as if they were not meant to be separated in that moment. beautiful, bright blue eyes stared down at him with so much love, admiration and want that it almost choked him up. it scared him, too. he had always believed the he wasn’t deserving of a love this deep, but his time spent with satoru over the past couple of months began to skew that way of thinking.
almost, at least.
suguru’s fingers brushed a few wild strands of snow white hair away from satoru’s face, his thumb moving to glide across glossy lips. satoru lightly bit at it before closing his lips around it and gently sucking, smiling triumphantly when suguru groaned.
“you’re going to be the death of me,” he breathed softly, words delicate as they rolled off his tongue.
satoru hummed as he moved to kiss and suck at suguru’s neck now, grinding his hips down in the process. suguru held onto them tightly, bucking his own up as he tilted his head back to give satoru better access. after a particularly hard suck that had suguru moaning loudly, he grabbed a fistful of satoru’s hair and yanked him up, attaching their lips together once again. it was all tongues and teeth, hot and messy, but that was just how they liked it.
within a few minutes, they’d both shed their clothes and suguru was fucking up into satoru at a rapid pace, staring in awe at the cock-drunk look on his face. he thought satoru always looked so beautiful like this, begging and desperate all because of how good suguru would make him feel.
“f-feels so good, sugu,” satoru moaned as his fingers tangled in suguru’s hair.
“yeah, baby? are you gonna come for me soon?”
satoru nodded quickly, “y-yes, ‘m so close.”
“good,” suguru chuckled, “me too. finish with me, yeah?”
satoru could do nothing but nod one more time, his words disappearing along with the rest of the world around him. nothing else mattered except for him and his lover.
“you’re staring.” satoru’s voice startled suguru.
he looked at him for just a second longer and then chuckled, “how could i not? you’re the prettiest human being to exist, you know.”
“so you’ve said,” satoru muttered and covered his face with his hands, “but i think you’re the prettiest person in the world.”
“then you’re unfortunately mistaken.” suguru shrugged and leaned over to press a gentle kiss to satoru’s lips, then peppered the rest of his face with kisses. his nose, his eyebrows, his cheeks, anywhere he could reach, really.
he was so incredibly in love.
so why was there a voice in his head constantly telling him that this would end? that love never lasts and that it didn’t even exist to begin with?
suguru pushed those thoughts aside and rolled over so he was laying on top of satoru, a smirk playing at his lips.
“i can show you once again that you’re the only person in this world that matters. how does that sound?”
satoru reached up and wrapped his arms around suguru’s neck, grinning from ear to ear. “i think that sounds like a great idea.”
and then one random night when everything changes.
suguru glanced over as a picture of satoru flashed on his phone screen, indicating that he was the caller on the other end of the line. he turned away and ignored it, continuing to play his video game as he had been all night. he felt bad, terrible even, for acting this way, but his brain was telling him to.
he wondered what satoru was thinking right now.
suguru hoped that satoru hated him. it would be much easier on both of them if that were the case, but deep down, he knew that wasn’t possible. satoru held so much love in his heart for suguru. there wasn’t a chance in hell that he would turn all that love into hatred.
with a sigh, suguru placed his controller and headset down on his desk and stared glumly at the screen. his character was on the brink of being shot down by another team, and he could hear mahito and choso screaming through the speakers, but he didn’t care. how could he?
he got up from his chair and felt around for the light switch to the kitchen, shielding his eyes from the brightness once he finally found it. he grabbed a glass, a couple of ice cubes, and a bottle of bourbon, poured himself an unreasonable amount of liquor, and made his way to the balcony to smoke a cigarette and wallow in sorrows that were his doing.
suguru looked out at the bustling city below him. It was a friday night, so there were people everywhere, drunk, sober, happy, sad, in groups, alone. he and satoru used to love people-watching together, but suguru only felt distaste for it now. it wasn’t fun when he was doing it by himself.
he sat back in his chair and rested his head against the wall of his apartment, taking a long drag of his cigarette. he watched the smoke twist and twirl in the air when he exhaled, wondering how far it really went before disappearing. satoru would always—
“fuck!” suguru kicked the small table in front of him, sending the ashtray flying onto the ground along with all of the ashes and cigarette butts inside of it. he needed to stop thinking about satoru. none of this would get easier if he didn’t.
he leaned forward and rested his head in his hands, sobs that he had desperately been trying to keep inside now escaping freely. what was wrong with him? why did his mind do this to him? how was he ever supposed to find love when this was the result?
he never would. he didn’t deserve it.
suguru sighed deeply and stood from his position, opening the sliding door and walking back inside. as he entered his room, he could still hear mahito and choso screaming over the headset, completely oblivious to the tornado happening in their friend’s mind.
how could they ever know, though?
suguru had always been fantastic at hiding his feelings, at bottling everything up and pushing it all down so he didn’t have to think about it.
unfortunately for him, the bottle was starting to crack down the side, and he didn’t know how he would be able to patch it back up.
you won’t reply and we’ll go back to strangers.
satoru looked at his phone for the millionth time that night, desperately hoping that suguru’s name would pop up on the screen as it had so many times before. it had been about three weeks since he heard from him last, but he couldn’t find it in himself to let go, to let suguru go. in the six months they knew each other, he had quickly become a figure of intense importance in his life. and suddenly he was gone, just like that.
satoru knew he was okay, which was both a relief and an annoyance, due to suguru’s posting on social media. the most recent picture on instagram was one of him standing in between shoko and utahime with drinks in their hands. satoru had looked at it more times than he would like to admit, but who could blame him? suguru looked amazing. he was just a little bummed that he wasn’t there to tell him.
he rolled over in bed and stared up at the ceiling, trying to will back the tears that were forming in his eyes. if there was one thing he wasn’t going to do, it was cry over a stupid boy. but, suguru wasn’t just a stupid boy. he was the love of his life, his other half, his world.
it hurt pretty damn bad knowing that he was the only one between the two of them that felt that way.
satoru grabbed his phone and tried to call suguru another time. he knew it wouldn’t do any good, that the line would ring and he would then be met with his voicemail once again, but it didn’t matter. just hearing his voice that way would have to be good enough.
except, suguru finally picked up.
satoru sat up in a flash, breathing heavily as he clutched his phone tightly and held it up to his ear. he wasn’t even sure what to say. suguru wasn’t speaking either, but he could hear faint sniffles and quiet gasps through the speaker, indicating that he was crying.
“what the fuck are you crying for?” satoru surprised himself by talking first. angrily, at that. out of all the things he had practiced that he would say when suguru finally answered the phone, this wasn’t at the top of his list.
he was mad at suguru for doing what he did, sure, but all he wanted was for them to fix it. he wanted things to go back to the way they were. late nights staying up and talking under the comfort and warmth of the covers, sitting out on the balcony at suguru’s apartment and watching the people down below, soft kisses and passionate sex, tucking suguru’s hair behind his ear and feeling comfort just from knowing that suguru was by his side.
he missed everything.
but he didn’t know the pain that suguru himself was suffering from.
so, he continued to get angry.
“you have absolutely no reason to cry right now, you understand that? you broke my heart, ruined what we had and for what? you won’t even talk to me. how are we supposed to fix anything if we don’t talk?” satoru’s voice cracked as he finished his sentence, fresh tears forming in his eyes and threatening to spill over. he waited and waited and waited for a response, but it never came. until.
“i’m sorry.”
his voice sounded rough, raspy as if he had been crying for hours before answering the call. it made satoru’s heart leap in his chest, the thought that maybe suguru really was as upset as he was. was he about to say he wanted to try again? that satoru meant everything to him and that he wanted to be with him forever?
satoru’s hope was crushed when he heard the line go dead.
little did he know, that would be the last time he would speak to suguru for over ten years.

My prediction for the "Hammer Storm" What If episode is that Odin booted Thor to Kenya instead of Oklahoma, which lead to a teenage Ororo picking up the hammer and getting to super-heroing Early.
Thor, in all likelihood, probably just chilling in Kenya, perhaps working as a nurse or something as Donald Blake.
