This Shinkalion x Evangelion crossover is the only show where we see Hikari's siblings, and the whole thing is super adorable and positive? If I were a train kid this show would probably feel very validating. Like, you get to have your hobby respected by the Eva kids, who tell you you should be able to talk about what you like.

(If you're not a train kid, it also has mecha battles. No, the whole show really does have mecha battles between the trains.)

It's certainly not deep or anything, about as deep as Pokemon, but it's comforting in the same way that Pokemon is. I realised partway through that it's not just random shilling for Eva, there's a good reason to have them in the show: they're all named after Shinkansen trains. So it's an oddly natural crossover.

After the fourth impact ended...Shinji and Kaworu are lost in the middle of what seems to be left of Tokyo-3. Earth and life has been restored with plants and wildlife, but Shinji soon realizes that there's a terrible atmosphere to this New World.
