I actually had an idea for a small post-canon side-comics where Thistle and Kiera finally visit northern central continent to meet Kiera's mother... Because I wonder what Kiera's mom would think about what her daughter has become. She could, technically, still be alive, just very old. I think Kiera's mom had her when she was about 125 years old, so now she must be... 427? Basically a 85 year old grandma in elf years.

This scenario might as well happen in my AU where Kiera intervened and didn't let the Winged Lion consume Thistle completely.

But the fact reamins: these two are just extremely awkward in this situation. Because they've never been around so many other elves at once, the culture feels foreign, both of them aren't even used to normal peaceful life yet, and Kiera feels just as awkward in her mother's house as Thistle, because she haven't seen her mom in ages, and oh gods, mom has got a whole another family now...

Thistle and Kiera are just. completely unsure how to function in situations like this. Especially since both are bad with people.

The only thing that saves our unfortunate pair is the fact that Kiera got her insufferable personality and inclination towards illegal activities from her mom. So she wouldn't judge them. For their crimes, at least.

Old woman's voice: "Good gods, I married your father all those years ago because I wanted a tall husband! And you brought home an elf equivalent of a chihuahua!"
