#Nothing about canon Nico says/implies that he was socialized as a cisgender man. Sorry but 'cis Nico' is as much hc as trans Nico.

Every time I some stupid take like "there wouldn't be that many trans people in—" about a trans headcanon on something from the beginning of the 20th century, I kind of lose it a little bit because clearly you know nothing about queer history, sorry. This is entirely on you and it's extremely embarrassing.
There were transmasc (because the post was specifically transphobic bullshit against trans men) men in the beginning of the 20th century that medically transitioned, not to mention all the unspoken, non-transitioned, silent ones. You're genuinely deeply uneducated about queer history if you think transgender people have not been around pretty much the entirety of human history.
Anyways transmasc Nico di Angelo is real in my head and fits perfectly with the neverending theme of "otherness" with him. Nico being narratively defined through three female characters (blood related) is also something commonly done in trans-coding. Dionysus, the God of transition and willful gender-fuckery who specifically favors Nico can also be read as trans-coding (alongside his mental disorders).
It makes perfect sense for Nico to not be cis, actually, fight God on that.
#🌞#Every time I see a transphobic post denying transmasc headcanons as 'illogical' I think the person is a fucking idiot and move on.#And make one more guy trans in my head. Shrugs.#Go die mad about it? 'Illogical' I think insisting on a character defined by his separation from others being cis is fucking weird.#I'm mad because I saw an idiot. Hi.#Nothing about canon Nico says/implies that he was socialized as a cisgender man. Sorry but 'cis Nico' is as much hc as trans Nico.#But one has genuine logic behind it and on God it's not the cis one.#Yeah I think that. Idiotic ass post finally nudged me to ask people to justify their cisgender headcanons because that's also a hc. 🤔#*Small comment but like. A trans character can be coded both through relation to either male or female relatives. It like depends on contex#Sometimes the relation to a father is encoded as 'the man I want to be' and sometimes relations to a mother is 'the way I'm socialized'.#Anyways cis people have no say in denying trans hcs it affects you in no way so shut up.#rrverse#pjo#nico di angelo#trans nico di angelo#transgender#trans headcanon
