Hey news from the UC system: UC San Diego sent campus police to arrest three academic workers on felony charges last night for writing messages in washable chalk and window markers at last month’s peaceful protests against contract violations. UCSD already slapped 59 workers with fraudulent student conduct charges after a previous peaceful protest, and since the strike last November many students and academic workers have faced unlawful retribution and found that their new contracts have not been honored. Pay has been withheld and rights have been violated. The UC system does not care about grad students and academic workers, and they will continue to prove it time and time again.
