Kind it ironic to me that Tim's introduction is what killed any chance of Bruce being a genuinely straightforward heroic character and yet Tim fans are the Robin fans most likely to talk about how Batman and Robin are all about saving everyone equally no matter your personal feelings and putting all negativity aside for the greater good. Because like.
Batman went around violently assaulting criminals because his son died and the only thing that stopped him was getting another young boy to fight crime with him solely to stop him from being too unhinged. Do you expect me to take any scolding by Bruce and Tim of Jason/Steph/Damian etc being "too emotional and personal" about it all as anything other than blatant hypocrisy. If they shouldn't be on the streets because they get angry sometimes they why are you, a grown man, allowed out when the only thing keeping you in check from venting your violence in "too extreme" ways is your favourite little child soldier. Like come on lol.
There is interesting commentary to be made on how Tim believes and regurgitates all Bruce's hypocrisy uncritically because he follows the rules and benefits from them. "As long as I'm not like Jason I can be a good Robin and not get clouded by reckless emotion and anger which is bad, because it would get me killed or make me a killer leading Batman to give in to his own reckless emotion and anger which is perfectly understandable and a necessarily part of being Batman."
And obviously it all ties back into the classism and misogyny. Retaliatory unjust violence is allowed if you are rich and male enough. Otherwise you're bad and need to be taught the error of your ways by the Perfect All American Robin. But I don't think many folks are interested in that discussion yet.
