The female version of Nora Fatehi's new music video, Pachetoge, is at the center of a controversy after Instagram page Diet Sabya pulled it out of Beyoncé's Music Video Mine for 'stealing' it. Now, Nora has reacted to the allegations and said that while she was 'inspired' by Beyoncé, the organization was inspired by Mother Mary, not her.

In an interview with Mid-Day, Nora stated, "When we started working, we saw different scenes, costumes and the iconic look of pop stars from our favorite tracks, which would perfectly portray our concept . " She admitted that my video, which surfaced in 2014, was one of the reference points.

“I am inspired by Beyoncé among other stars. Khan was one of several reference points in terms of dancers, set-up and mood. However, the organization was inspired by Mother Mary, not her. Mine was inspired by the image of La Pieta, a Renaissance statue by Michelangelo Buonarotti, in which Beyoncé dressed as the Virgin Mary.

Nora said that her video was also inspired by several other artists including Madonna, Billy Ilish and Zayn Malik. She also claimed that Pachotogae was 'original' in her choreography, cinematography and storylines, and therefore, was not an imitation of Mary.
