Lemonade MCs Pt. 2

Alright, the moment of truth. Here are the final 4 of my MCs. I hope that you guys enjoy them. I felt less nervous making the introductions this time so sorry if I ramble more in this one.

Also just as a reminder, some things that I put here about them may change as we learn more stuff about the story, but so far I like what I’ve assigned them.

I might make more posts about the MCs in the future, we’ll see what happens!

Yuri Ishimori [M He/Him]

Ethnicity: Half Japanese/Half Afro-Brazilian

Club: Soccer

Personality: A simple way to describe Yuri would be by saying that he’s pure sunshine. He truly has the temperament of a golden retriever. He’s cheerful and always loves to make new friends. Yuri tends to take a positive outlook on life and always tries to help cheer people up when they’re going through hard times. However, that constant positivity backfires sometimes in the sense that Yuri doesn’t really know how to effectively work through his negative emotions. He tends to just bottle up any negative feelings and replace them with false cheer. It’s not a healthy way of coping, and all of the unwanted emotions have been building up over the years, but he just doesn’t know what to do with them. That’s also the real reason why he hasn’t really worked through his feelings about the divorce yet. He’s just been continuing to go on like everything is alright.

Best friend: Akane. They’d be the cutest besties ever. He would gladly help Akane create the most inedible baked goods known to man and accidently give food poisoning to everyone at school.

RO: Yosuke. You know I love a good opposites attract situation. Yuri will slowly work down Yosuke’s walls with his adorableness, just you wait.

Bonus facts: Bless his heart, but Yuri is just not a very good student. I remember reading that we’ll have a chance to have a study session with our chosen RO, and I can’t help but laugh because I can only imagine that neither Yuri nor Yosuke are going to have any clue what is going on. As for hobbies, Yuri really enjoys playing video games! He is 5’9.

Minoru Uemura [M He/Him]

Ethnicity: Japanese

Club: Journalism. After seeing the storyline for the Journalism club, I know that poor Minoru is going to be so exasperated with them. It’s a good thing that he’s so level-headed.

Personality: Minoru is probably exactly what you would imagine when you think about the perfect student. He’s always polite and well-spoken, he just seems to have a bit of an elegant air about him. He’s quick to offer up warm smiles and to help people with schoolwork if they need it. However, as someone gets closer to him they may be surprised to realize that he actually has a bit of a mischievous side to him. He quite enjoys a bit of light teasing. Minoru is honestly handling the parent’s divorce the best out of all the MCs. Of course, it will still take some time to sort through all of the emotions that come along with it, but he recognizes that this was the best outcome for everyone involved.

Best friend: Shion. I think they would be great friends and study buddies.

RO: Yuushin. I remember people talking about how honor student x delinquent ships were great, and you are totally right. There is no way I could pass up that opportunity. Minoru would also still love him even if he was bald, don’t worry.

Bonus facts: Minoru is a great student obviously, academics come naturally to him pretty much, but he still always studies hard. He really enjoys writting (which is the main reason why he joined the journalism club), and he also enjoys a bit of drawing in his free time although it’s not really his main focus. He is 5’7.

Nobuyuki Hamamoto [M He/Him]

Ethnicity: Japanese

Club: Basketball

Personality: Nobu is an extremely hard person to read, and that’s because he hardly ever actually expresses his feelings. He doesn’t talk much unless it’s necessary, and his face is always impassive. In fact, it seems like there is no real emotion put into anything that he does. He’s just like a ghost that floats through the halls. Nobu isn’t sure when the last time that he felt motivation or passion for something was, and he’s honestly not sure if he cares. Nothing really mattered when his life was constantly being packed up and moved all the time, and he has developed a blunt and kind of sarcastic personality over the years. There are definitely some bitter feelings towards his parents for constantly dragging him around seemingly without wondering how it would affect him. Let’s hope that this school year he’ll be able to find enthusiasm for life again.

Best friend: Yuushin. Just two loners hanging out and being buddies. It doesn’t get better than that, does it? Also, Nobu would totally have smoke breaks with Yuushin. And I guess that if Yuushin needs help beating someone up then Nobu will join. I mean that’s what friends are for.

RO: Akane. This kid needs some sweetness in his life please. He thinks that he doesn’t need anyone in his life right now, but just wait until Akane comes crashing into his heart. Casually introducing Akane and Yuushin to each other seems very funny to me by the way.

Appearance: Everyone else’s picrews are pretty close to how I imagine them, but Nobu’s didn’t really turn out how I wanted. So, I’ll just explain a bit on what things I would change. His hair is wavy rather than straight, and his bangs are usually more swept to the side. Also, his skin tone is tanner than is shown here. And just in general the picrew makes him look too cute I think, he has more of an intimidating aura I would say.

Bonus facts: He prefers to be called just Nobu. He definitely wears a face mask, because we need maximum mysterious vibes. Nobu’s sarcasm is the kind where you can’t tell if he’s joking or not because he’s so monotone and his expressions give nothing away. He's an average student, he doesn't really put any extra work in other than what he has to. Has multiple ear piercings and an eyebrow piercing probably, has a tattoo as well. He is 6’1. 

Tsubasa Murase [NB They/Them]

Ethnicity: Japanese

Club: Music

Personality: Tsubasa is someone who always has their guard up. They’re not very well liked seeing as they’re prone to lash out when angry and due to the fact that they just flat out can be rude a lot of the time. They follow the logic of ‘hurt others before they can hurt you’. Inside they feel lonely and lost, but they refuse to let what they think of as their weaknesses show through. Tsubasa saw what happened to their parents and they’re scared of ending up in the same situation if they ever let someone that close to them, and that fear turned into anger inside of them so the whole situation just pisses them off. Some introspection and healing are definitely needed here.

Best friend: Leila. Bandmates gotta stick together. Also, Leila’s more laid-back attitude would probably be good for Tsubasa.

RO: Hikaru. I’m sorry to have to stick Hikaru with the tsundere, but I think he’d be good for them lol. I think he has one of the best chances of helping to bring down their walls. Tsubasa will acknowledge their feelings… eventually.

Bonus facts: This might be surprising, but Tsubasa is actually really good academically. They don’t necessarily try very hard at school, but they somehow still manage to get good grades on tests. They’re only 5’4, but don’t bring that up around them because they will bite you. They’re actually really good at baking and cooking and it often helps them relax, they will deny this if it is ever brought up though. They also have a lot of ear piercings and a nose ring I imagine.

Yay, we made it! So that’s all 8 of them as promised. My children all have some issues to work through, but their journeys through the years at Mori High will hopefully help them to all better understand who they are as people and make the most out of the life that they have. I’m looking forward to the growth that they will see throughout the various books :D
