One of my all time favourite behind the scenes tidbit on The Good Place is that there is this character that has been on the show since the very beginning, THE VERY FUCKING BEGINNING, and none of the cast has ever met this person until waaaay later. The person who plays this character has never stepped foot on the set until waaaay later. And by waaaay later, I mean the very last episode.

The most reoccurring character other than the main 6. The character also makes an appearance but as a different version of himself. So when they finally actually meet him, everyone is geeking out. Ted Danson is completely geeking out when he finally meets him. D’arcy Carden is geeking out and trying to get a selfie with him. Kristen Bell is geeking out. EVERYONE. He has become a celebrity to these celebrities.

Who is it?

Noah Garfinkle.

Better known as young Doug Forcett.

The show hyped him up so much that the cast and staff are trying to take selfies with him. And he only makes a physical appearance for literally only a few seconds. THAT’S IT!

Michael Shur is known for putting actors from previous shows, his writers and staff, and friends and loved ones on his shows, physically or as a prop. And in the case of his comedian friend, a portrait. Also a very brief cameo.
