It was strange what could happen to words when one read them over and over again. Stared until they melded together, flattened over one another, and lost meaning entirely.
I cured Anne of the curse.
Since the end of Fifth year, there had been two universal truths that held precedence in her mind. Two statements that had taken over the place where the threat of Ranrok's rebellion and the Keeper trials had shadowd each decision she made and every action she took. One set of anxieties traded for another.
Anne was dying, and Sebastian was gone.
Now, in the space of six words, the truths that had colored her life since Sebastian left had been flipped on its head, and beyond the shock where she'd thought she would have found solid ground, she was left unbalanced and unsteady. Trembling fingers flattened over the rough texture. Pressed against the parchment as though she might unscramble his sentence to find some other meaning behind it.
I cured Anne of the curse.
As though touching it might let the ink seep into her fingers and solidify the sentence as something more than a distant fantasy—a delicate hope they'd clung to with aching fingers—something that lived amongst shooting stars—wishes only truly hoped for in the softest of whispers lest they be snatched away with the wind.
Clara traced the words again and again until the inked symbols danced over one another on the page, twisted and swirling, her eyes bleary with strain and lack of sleep. The unspoken how traced to the edges of her fingertips but failed to grasp her quill to solidify the question into writing.
Clara folded the parchment and let it fall against the sea of green. Her quill had disappeared somewhere in the blankets. She would no doubt find it at some point, along with a mess of black ink, and she only had the vague thought that 'scourgify' ought to work to remove it before she slumped back against the mattress.
The words spun over one another behind her eyelids.
I did it, Ara
I cured Anne of the curse.
Sleep did not grace her presence, and all thoughts of the Cherrywood box and Dreamless Sleep Draught were pushed aside. Left to the darkest corners of her mind.
Anne's owl came before the sunrise.
><><><><><><><><
The pulse of apparition saw she and Ominis outside the Sallow home as the early morning sky painted shades of palest pinks and lilac purples across the thatched roof and caressed the curling wisps of candyfloss clouds.
They'd only just reached the door when the indigo was flung open, and the scent of caramel and vanilla launched at her in a mass of gigging cinnamon waves. The abrupt force of Anne's hug nearly sent her off balance, and it was only with a careful set of oddly coordinated steps that they managed to stay upright.
Clara pulled back and tipped her nose up. Fingers tapped to the tops of Anne's shoulders, and in the pale whispers of sunlight, she could see the newfound fullness in the woman's cheeks and the rose flush that colored them. The wide grin that masked none of the pain, Clara had grown so used to seeing tucked behind the heaviness of her eyelids and hidden at the corners of her mouth where her smiles had always disclosed the lies that lay beneath.
Her fingers squeezed the woman's shoulders, pressing down the soft warmth of her arms until she settled against her hands and pulled them into her own. " Anne... you look..." Healthy? Happy? "How do you feel?"
Her grin only widened. " Brilliant, really! I'd grown so used to the pain; I'd almost forgotten what it was like not to feel it."
Clara waited for the subtle wince to crease the corner of her eyes—the slight bending in her abdomen or the minute clenching in her hand—any of the tale-tell signs she'd come to routinely search for when she knew the brunette would rather cut out her own tongue than admit she was hurting.
She was so focused on searching Anne's face that she almost didn't notice subtle movements behind her—the careful footsteps within the shadows of Sallow's home—until Anne stepped around her and launched herself toward Ominis. Clara only registered the little "ooof" as the blond caught the newly spry woman before Sebastian stepped out of the shadows.
He stopped in the doorway. Fingers clutched at the edges of his sleeve. Worried against the fabric of his cable-knit sweater and his throat bobbed once.
Eyes locked with hers.
"Hello, Sweetheart."
Whispered words echoed between splatters of ink on parchment.
Odd how time could stand still within a fraction of a moment. In the single breath his gaze found hers and held her while everything else moved around them.
He looked more different than she'd expected. Older than the almost eighteen he should have been. His hair was longer now, falling in soft cinnamon-brown curls nearly to his shoulders. His skin was tanned, sunkissed red across his cheeks and the tip of his nose, and sprinkled with more freckles than she'd ever seen on him. It did little to distract from the way his face had hardened and thinned or the shadowed darkness that folded through his eyes.
It left her the most disconcerted.
Clara knew Sebastian's eyes. He'd laughed at her when she'd said she wanted to paint them, but he'd not protested much when she'd knelt in front of him and taken his face in her hands. His cheeks had been warm and squished under her fingers. They'd been fuller back then. Still clinging to the remnants of boyhood.
"They're just brown," He'd said. " It's nothing special."
But Sebastian was never 'Just anything,' and his eyes were no different. She'd studied them intensely. Knew them perfectly. Every shade and hue. She knew the precise color of chestnut she needed to mix with the tiniest dab of dark umber. The shade of crushed pine that bled out from his pupils and the exact pattern of the swirls as two colors melted into one another. She knew if the sunlight hit them at just the right angle, she would find flecks of honeyed gold sprinkled through his iris. As though his freckles would not see themselves contained to his skin.
It was gone.
All of it.
The soft chesnut, the swirling pine, and the flecks of honey were left darkened and solid, replaced by an inpenetrable wall too tall and wide for her to see past.
She had only read briefly of occlumancy, but if one could visualize it, Clara was certain it would be found folded over Sebastian's features. She couldn't place exactly why the idea of it coiled hot inside her chest and burned at the back of her throat.
Wherever he'd gone, whatever he'd been through, the boy who'd left to save his sister was not the man who had returned.
"Sebastian?"
The sharp clip of Ominis' voice snapped Clara's attention over her shoulder to where the blond stood beside Anne. She had looped her fingers around his elbow and settled her head below his shoulder. He was the tallest of them, and even with Anne now standing at her full height, the top of her head barely reached his chin.
Clara didn't miss the heavy tension that settled between the two men.
The tapestry their childhood fingers had woven with the innocence of love and friendship had been left tattered and threadbare—a tapestry Sebastian had torn with his own bleeding fingers. Interwoven with tangled threads of hurt and betrayal, and attempting to patch it with hasty apologies would do little to mend what had started to fray long before Sebastian had ever added murder to his repertoire of sins.
"Hey, mate." Sebastian's attempt at a casual tone fluttered through the air and faltered somewhere as he made half a move to step forward and seemed to think better of it.
Ominis only narrowed his eyes. "I thought Anne said you'd cured it?"
Sebastian's brows lowered, thick and heavy over those dark, impenetrable orbs. "I did cure her."
" Then why do..." The rest of it fell away midsentence. Head tilted slightly. Something twitched between his brows and Clara only just caught the slight tension at the corner of his jaw.
" I'm fine, Ominis. I'm okay. The curse is gone. I can feel it!" Only the soft hum of Anne's voice seemed to soften the crease between his brows as she gathered his hands and lifted his fingers to her face.
The corners of his mouth tugged upward. " Yes, of course. I know, darling." He placed a kiss between her brows, to the tip of her nose, one to each of her cheeks, and Clara turned away.
It was far more affection than she was used to seeing from him in a public setting.
On her other side, Sebastian made a disgusted sort of face and mimed wretching. Under different circumstances, she might have found Sebastian's antics amusing, but the soft bubbles of laughter cowered beneath the hot anger coiled to burst at the back of her throat, and she clenched her fingernails against her palms.
It wasn't the emotion she'd expected to find here. She'd not been angry when she'd finally opened his letter and written back to him. She'd not even truly been angry with any of his responses. Amused, irritated, infuriated at times, but never angry.
Not really.
But now it burned hot and red and threatened eruption with every breath that slipped between her teeth.
" I don't understand. How did you do it?" Ominis had straightened himself from Anne's hold and turned with uncanny accuracy to where Sebastian still stood in the doorway.
He shifted slightly against the door frame, fingers fidgeting against the bottom of his sleeve.
" Potions," Anne offered simply.
"A series of potions." Sebastian started, " Came across the recipes while traveling. They're ancient, really. Nothing that would have been taught in European medicine. Which is why neither St. Mungo's nor Nurse Blainy would have known to suggest it. They're bloody difficult to brew, and you can't even find the majority of the ingredients on this continent. Hell, some ingredients have gone extinct since the recipe was invented, but I managed to find adequate substitutes and ..." He gestured vaguely toward his twin.
Clara didn't turn to the other woman. Her eyes still locked on Sebastian and the solid, dark umber wall that hid all that was him even as he stood before her.
" They actually worked," she finished. " It took a few days for the effects to register fully, but..."
" A few days?" Confusion laced through Ominis' words pulled them higher, and elongated the normally staccatoed cadene. " How long hav.."
" How long have you been here?" The hot coil snapped in an instant, and despite the heat that had burned for so long the words bit sharp and icy against Clara's tongue.
" Sebbie got here on Monday. I got his owl after you both left last week and..."
" No." She jerked her hand up and only just turned in time to see Anne's eyebrows shoot into her hairline at the dismissal. Clara was rude, and she was certain Ominis, or if she were actually unlucky, Anne herself would have choice words for her later. " How long have you fucking been here, Sebastian? Near Hogwarts? Close enough we could have apparated to you?"
"Elmore..."
"Tell me!"
He worked his jaw only a moment before his shoulders dropped, and he sagged against the door frame. " A couple of months"
" Months! And you couldn't have written to us? You couldn't have told me that? How many times did I ask you where you were?"
"I couldn't..."
" You asked him?" The icy snap of Ominis's voice tore Clara's attention from Sebastian. " I thought we weren't able to contact him? We sent owls and got nothing. How long have you two been talking behind my back?"
" Ominis, it's not the same as..."
"Is it not? Is it not the exact same? The pair of you keeping secrets again, after everything that's happened! Hurt tasted sour and traced the curves of his syllables.
She would have to deal with it later.
Clara forced her gaze away from them and back to Sebastian, who'd still not moved from his place against the doorframe. " So what happens now?"
" We've spoken to Professor Black and Professor Weasley. Arrangements have been made, and Anne and I will both be returning to Hogwarts starting on Monday." He was looking at her again. Those dark eyes solid, impenetrable and wholly unfamiliar.
" It's like that, then? You leave out of nowhere and think you can just drop in, and everything will just go back to normal?"
She didn't know when she'd started yelling or when the stinging behind her eyes had begun to pool below her lashline.
Anne's curse had been cured. She was going to be okay.
" You expect us to sit here and pretend like you didn't completely abandon us?"
Abandon her.
Anne wasn't dying, and Clara should have been happy.
She shouldn't have been screaming at Sebastian, and yet her voice was tearing as the words ripped from her throat, and she couldn't see properly because her vision had melted into blurry, unfocused haze.
" We're supposed to act like we didn't spend months. Months! More than a fucking year Sebastian! Terrified you were sick or hurt or ..."
Her voice choked and faltered, and for the first time since they'd arrived, he moved from the doorframe. Stepped forward, his fingers tipped toward her, " Ara, I'm sorry....I never..."
But whatever he was going to say was lost to the wind as she spun on her heel and sprinted through the softly waving grass, past a grove of trees, and the snap of apparition deposited her at the edge of Hogwarts grounds.
The sun's light had not burned away the glittering beads of dew, still clung to blades of subtly shifting green when Clara collapsed into the grass at the edge of the forest and scattered the delicate drops in her wake.
She buried her face into her hands and ignored the salted dampness on her cheeks and the soft tremble of her shoulders.
She wasn't crying.
Anne had been cured, and Sebastian was home. He was safe, and she was happy.
She was supposed to be happy.

Daughter of Olympus (Leo Valdez xFem!Oc)
A/N: Besties when I tell you I'd KILL for Leo Valdez -Danny Words: 2,269 Series' Masterlist Previous Chapter / Next Chapter Listen to: 'Don't You Dare' -by Kaden MacKay
XVII. Never Been More Offended by Something I 100% Agree With
Ara wakes with a start and discovers Nico's jacket is gone, but she's got her Tyrian cloak back, freshly washed jeans, a new camp t-shirt, and brand-new black Converse. Her hair feels clean and smells like honey, and she's no longer tired or cold.
She's sitting outside a café with the others. It's the early morning of the winter solstice, and everyone looks like they're attending wildly different events.
"Mother!" Piper gasps.
"What? Fight who? Where?" Hedge sits up straight and Ara has a hard time not looking at him. This is not the vibrant she meant when talking about colors.
"Falling!" Leo yelps. "No—not falling. Where are we?"
Jason blurts out another question. "What are you wearing?"
Piper pulls out her dagger to look at her reflection. "It's nothing. It's my—It's nothing."
"What's that?" This is the first time Ara sees Piper's weapon. "Who gave you that?"
Piper frowns. "Annabeth. It was in Athena's shed."
Ara wants to snatch the dagger out of her sister's grip and throw it away in an abrupt wave of jealousy, and she feels extremely confused by it. "Is that Katoptris?"
"Er... you know it?"
"Of course I know it," Ara scoffs. "Who doesn't know about Helen and Paris? Mom was their biggest fan."
"Aphrodite strikes again, huh? You two gonna be the best-dressed warriors in town, beauty queens."
"Hey, Leo," Jason replies. "You look at yourself recently?"
"What... oh."
Ara looks at the boy, and she... hates it. Thank the gods! Those clothes make him look put together, but Ara likes him more when he's messy and huggable. Huggable. Ara cringes at her own opinions.
"God, Leo, I think my dad wore that to his last premiere, minus the tool belt."
"Hey, shut up!"
"I think he looks good," Hedge hums. "'Course, I look better."
"Well," Jason sighs, "at least your mom overlooked me."
Ara and Piper share a look but say nothing. Ara seizes her cloak, and when she pulls it forward she realizes there is an embroidered image on it. "What the..." She turns. "Piper, what's on my back?"
"A huge Omega in the middle... top left I see Hermes' staff, top right has a dove, and a little to the side there is a crescent moon..."
"My blessings," Ara recognizes. "Cool!"
"How did we get here?" Piper puts Katopris back in its sheath.
"Oh, that would be Mellie," Hedge beams. "Those winds shot us halfway across the country, I'd guess. We would've been smashed flat on impact, but Mellie's last gift—a nice soft breeze—cushioned our fall."
"And she got fired for us," Leo pouts. "Man, we suck."
"Ah, she'll be fine. Besides, she couldn't help herself. I've got that effect on nymphs. I'll send her a message when we're through with this quest and help her figure something out. That is one aura I could settle down with and raise a herd of baby goats."
"I can't believe I'm saying this," Ara looks at him with an aggravated expression. "But please, stop sharing your feelings."
Piper snorts. "Anyone else want coffee?"
"Coffee!" Hedge says happily. "I love coffee!"
"Um, but—money? Our packs?" Jason looks around.
Ara peeks under her chair and finds her T-Rex bag in one piece. She fishes it out, completely restored with the exception of a heart-shaped eyepatch covering its right socket. "Thank you, Mom!"
Piper pulls out a stash of money and a potion from the pockets of her jacket. Leo lets out an exclamation. "Allowance? Girls, your mom rocks!"
"Waitress!" Hedge calls, picking up a flower and nibbling on it. "Six double espressos, and whatever these guys want. Put it on the girl's tab."
After a while, Leo takes out the drawing from one of his pockets and looks at it with a scowl. Piper notices. "What is that?"
"Nothing. You don't want to see my kindergarten artwork," he folds it again.
"It's more than that. Aeolus said it was the key to our success," Jason mentions.
"Not today. He was talking about... later."
"How can you be sure?" Piper frowns.
"Trust me. Now—what's our game plan?"
"Climb the mountain," Hedge lists. "Kill everything except Piper's dad. Leave."
"Thank you, General Eisenhower," Jason mutters.
"Hey, I'm just saying!"
"Wait wait wait," Ara sits up straight. "I'm exhausted."
Leo scoffs. "Take a nap?"
"No, I mean, our situation can't continue like this," Ara replies. "Demigods are all liars by nature—and yeah, technically you're not lying, Jason," she gives him a look. "But we can't keep hiding things from each other, otherwise we'll lose."
"You want us to hold hands, share our thoughts while the solstice dies along with Piper's dad?" Leo frowns.
"Wow, such a nice way to put it," Piper kicks his foot.
"No. What I'm saying is... I'll be your friend. A real one, but you have to be honest. I can't help if you aren't," Ara looks at Leo intently. "Understood?"
Jason is the first to agree. "You got my word, Ara. As soon as I get my memories back, I'll tell you everything. I think you're right, whatever's after us, it wants us to feel like we can't trust each other."
Leo continues to avoid her gaze, pretty much on purpose. Piper decides to speak. "Well, there's more you need to know... about... a dream I just had."
Ara knows it is perfect timing after she listens to Piper's dream. It's time to share her theory. "Mother Earth's the answer. This is spelling out her name."
"Gaea?" Leo raises a brow. "Isn't she supposed to have, like, flowers in her hair and birds singing around her and deer and rabbits doing her laundry."
"Leo, that's Snow White," Piper replies sternly.
"Okay, but—"
"Listen, cupcake—the girls are telling us some serious stuff, here. Gaea's no softie. I'm not even sure I could take her."
"Really?" Leo asks half mockingly.
"This earth lady—she and her old man the sky were nasty customers."
"Ouranos," Piper says.
"Right. So Ouranos, he's not the best dad. He throws their first kids, the Cyclopes, into Tartarus. That makes Gaea mad, but she bides her time. Then they have another set of kids—the twelve Titans—and Gaea is afraid they'll get thrown into prison too. So she goes up to her son Kronos—"
"The big bad dude," Leo turns to Ara. "The one you and your friends fought last summer."
"Yeah. Well, Mother Nature talked him into cutting up his father. Aphrodite was born from Ouranos' blood, you know? That means we're tough," Ara brushes it aside. "Anyway—It didn't take much convincing, all she did was take off his leash."
"Definitely not Snow White," Piper shivers.
"Gaea is so old and powerful, so huge, that it's hard for her to be fully conscious. Most of the time, she sleeps, and that's the way we like her—snoring." Hedge adds.
"But she talked to me," Leo frowns. "How can she be asleep?"
"Because godly sleep is not the same as ours," Ara explains. "It's like autopilot. Leaves the basics on, and makes sure nature works as it's supposed to. Bet that leaves her with enough energy to make an eight-year-old have a manic episode."
"But believe us," Hedge warns them. "You don't want to see her fully awake."
"But she's getting more powerful," Piper guesses. "She's causing the giants to rise. And if their king comes back—this guy Porphyrion—"
"He'll raise an army to destroy the gods," Jason concludes. "Starting with Hera. It'll be another war. And Gaea will wake up fully."
"Which is why it's a good idea for us to stay off the ground as much as possible," Hedge concludes.
"So... climbing a mountain," Leo grimaces. "That would be bad."
Ara hugs her T-Rex. "The more a demigod knows, the more dangerous it gets, but you need to know now, to get ready."
Her words don't do much to encourage the others. Jason makes a face. "You mean all we've been through so far it's been what, a warm-up?"
Ara's expression doesn't change as she replies. "Basically. The dragons and the Cyclops were higher up on the ranking, but they're easy to defeat if you have the proper tools, which we had. A king giant, though, that'll take all of our wits... and power."
"Guys, I can't ask you to do this," Piper says miserably. "This is too dangerous."
"You kidding?" Hedge grins. "Who's ready to beat stuff up?"
"I'm ready to beat you up if you don't calm down," Ara leaves her seat. "All with due respect, of course."
The satyr smiles. "Same ol' Ara, always looking for a fight."
Ara snorts. "Been a while since I did that, Hedge..."
It isn't enough that Percy and Annabeth are the most thick-headed lovebirds in the world, this is also the year Drew decides to start torturing me.
I have just gotten to camp after almost dying in the orientation tour of Percy's new school—and you may ask: "Ara, why were you there? You're thirteen!" I'm a month away from turning thirteen, mind you, and I'm no longer allowed to be alone.
At school I eat with Percy, I can't go to parties where he's not invited, and I can't take him cause most of my classmates are scared of him, all because he thinks Nico will send monsters to kill me.
Anyway, once at arrive at camp, Lily grabs my hand and drags me toward the cabins. "You saw our new sword instructor?"
"Yeah, he has a huge dog!"
"He's good. We should ask him for extra lessons," Lily says, straight to business.
Connor approaches, he's holding a pair of pliers and I don't wanna know what they're for. "Birdy! Saw you coming down from the hill. All good?"
"We almost got killed by lady vampires."
"The usual, then. Hi, Lily," he fidgets with the pliers. "Having a good day?"
Lily squeezes my hand and pulls me along. "Yup! I'm taking Ara to her cabin, see you!"
I look at her with confusion. "What was that?"
"Shup ut."
"Di immortalis! You got a new crush?" I absorb the whirlwind of feelings coming from her.
"Shut up!" Her ears are red now. "Don't use your powers on me!"
"Why are you blushing?"
"I'm mad at him."
I giggle. "He's too cute to stand?"
"He says that if I go into the labyrinth he'll stop talking to me..."
My smile vanishes. "What labyrinth?"
"Don't worry about that," Lily glances at me. "We got cabin inspections and I won't have you last on the list, you need to train so we can knock some sense back into Nico."
I look down, still embarrassed about the mistake I made last winter. "I'm sorry I put you in a tough spot..."
"You were my friend first, he must understand..." I don't know if she's talking about Nico or Hades.
Piper and Hedge go to pay for the food and Jason goes to look for a taxi, which leaves Ara and Leo waiting on the sidewalk. The silence engulfs them, but it doesn't matter how weird things are between them, it's still not awkward.
"Is it true?" He asks. "That you're always fighting people?"
Ara blushes, trying not to think about how she almost fought Drew before leaving for this quest. "That was a long time ago."
Leo raises a brow. "So Coach was telling the truth? About you blowing up things and attempting murder?"
"I mean, it wasn't quite like that..."
"Then it's also true what Thalia said, that you look after everyone no matter what," he sighs and turns to face her. "I've been... well, I don't even know, but I think I hurt you."
"Really?" Ara stares at him. "When, exactly?"
"You know, when we..." Leo gestures vaguely between them. "That."
"Yeah, I figured," Ara doesn't want to say it, saying it means it's real, and when things are real, they're easier to ruin. "You know why Jason and I are getting along?" She asks, knowing that's been bothering him. "He's trying to understand himself."
Leo shrugs, not meeting her gaze. "I know who I am."
Ara raises a brow. "Then tell me why is Gaea so afraid of you?"
"She's not afraid of me," he snorts. "Didn't you hear Coach? She's the final boss—"
"And yet she went after you first, years ago," she insists. "You're a threat to her but you don't see it, you don't know who you are."
"Alright, Mufasa—who am I, if you've got me figured out?" He asks with annoyance.
"I didn't say that, that's exactly the damn problem," Ara frowns. "I'm not trying to make you feel bad here, it's my job to help you—"
"I don't want to be another deadweight on your back—"
Ara stomps her foot in frustration. "Guess what? That's the point! You're part of a puzzle, and I'm meant to put it together, but you keep squirming out of reach—"
Leo steps forward. Ara steps back and his expression hardens. "And that is my point! You're afraid of me!"
"W-What?"
"You flinch like I'm going to set you on fire—"
"That's not—I'm not—" Ara's blushing bad. "Maybe I wouldn't do that if you didn't stand so close to my face!"
"Just admit you don't trust me!"
"I trust you with my life!" She takes a step forward and snatches the porkpie hat from his head. "The things you think make you a deadweight... I know them for what they are. I haven't scratched the surface of your talents, but I help others find their place, and I'm not giving up on you yet."
"Sorry for the delay! Hedge had like seven expressos so he had to fight his inner demons in the bathroom..." Piper stops. "Er—is this a bad time?"
Ara glances at her. "No," she looks back at Leo and pats his cheek. "We've reached an understanding. Right, Valdez?"
"Hundred percent," he says hoarsely.
Jason comes back with a taxi. Leo's silly hat gets handed to Hedge before Ara enters the vehicle. "All yours, coach."
The satyr tries to take a bite, but Leo snatches the hat out of his grip, hugging it tightly against his chest. He scowls at Piper, who's grinning at him. "What?"
She pushes him toward the taxi. "Nothing, Romeo. Just get in the car."

Buttler au
Chuuya and Dazai as your butlers!
Fluff? A bit of scary(?)(yandere?) stuff at the end.. yeah, idk anymore... Inspired by this
Buttler au
“Master, how would you like your tea today?”
Your butler, Dazai asked as he presented you with three cups of steaming hot tea.
“Would you like to have it sweet, like you do when you’re happy, sugar less, when you are feeling tired, or with honey, like how you prefer on a rainy day?”
You smiled fondly at your butler.
“I can’t believe you remember all that”, you mused.
Dazai smiled with his pretty eyes closed, bowing slightly.
“Why, that’s my job, my lady. Caring for you, loving you, is all a part of my job.”
Your breath hitched at his subtle mention of his love for you. He truly was a work of art. If you didn’t keep an eye on him, he would surely find a way to make you submit to him. He was caring, but also very cunning.
“Oi! You’re crossing the line here! That’s not how you talk to our master!”
You were glad to have you fiery haired butler by your side. While his love for you was a little overbearing, his loyalty could never be questioned. He keeps your other, rather wild butler, in check.
“Ara? I can hear Chuuya’s voice, but he’s nowhere to be seen.”
Dazai said, placing the tray down and placing a gloved hand on his chin in mock wonder.
“Haah?! I’m right here, you idiot!”
Chuuya seethed.
Dazai made a show of bending down to Chuuya’s height and smiling coyly.
“Ah! There you are! Sorry for ignoring you; I didn’t mean to.”
Chuuya sighed, forgiving Dazai, until he heard the next words that spilled from the brunets lips.
“You were too short to fit in my line of sight.”
Chuuya was practically fuming now, prepping his dominant arm to punch Dazai.
“Silence. I like my mornings quiet. Haven’t I made that clear already?”
You said, breaking their fight and flicking your palm in the air.
“Honey. It looks like it’s about to rain today.”
Dazai bowed, “Yes, my lady.”
He promptly placed a cup and saucer in your hands. Chuuya placed a plate of biscuits, your favourites, on the side table. He held up a tiny spoon rest, waiting patiently for you to finish mixing the honey with the teaspoon.
“What is my schedule?”
“You are to visit the Duke today, at around three, for a practise dance.”, Dazai said as he moved about the tea room, adjusting tiny things and placing them in their rightful place.
You stirred your tea, and placed the spoon in the spoon rest, allowing Chuuya to move about too, and help Dazai in doing whatever the hell he was doing.
“The Duke?”, you asked, gaze set on the large window in front of you. The garden needed some more roses, you noted.
“Unfortunately.”, Chuuya replied.
You made a grossed out look, scrunching up your nose.
“Now, now, my lady, that look doesn’t suit royalty!”
Dazai fussed.
“Tch. Let me be.”
You said, “I can’t believe I have to go to a ball with him. Is it absolutely necessary for me to attend?”
“Is the Duke that annoying?”
Chuuya asked.
“Yes! He is set on wooing me, and it’s frustrating, because I have no interest in such a stupid, unintelligent, horse-faced oaf!”
You exclaimed, sighing at your own outburst and laying your head on your fist.
The butlers smiled fondly at your back, and unbeknownst to you, they had already figured out a way to rid off of the irritating Duke.
“Well, he is a necessary pawn in your plan, isn’t he?”
Chuuya asked.
“Yes. Unfortunately. We need his social circle to accept our company and spread word about us, to grow its branches. He has contacts, that if used properly, could help us expand overseas.”
You pouted angrily, huffing.
“Well then, once we’re done with him, you can get rid of him.”
Dazai quipped.
“Hmm. I don’t need to see that horse face ever again if we achieve our goal. Then i’ll burn all his old letters and his new ones will be fed to the horses.”
You smirked at the thought.
Dazai and Chuuya shared a glance, communicating without uttering a word.
‘We’ll get rid of him, forever.’, they thought.
“What about your lover, my lady?”
Chuuya asked.
“You are of age, and suitors are dying to meet you.”
You, sighed.
“I don’t know yet. If I find someone amusing, funny, quirky and smart, maybe tall and handsome, then I’d think about it.”
Dazai’s eyes darkened.
“But all the idiots out there are such irritating rats. I don’t think I’d find anyone anytime soon.”
Chuuya glanced over at Dazai, and watched with horror as Dazai smirked darkly.
Dazai was going to ensure you never found anyone worthwhile. You were his, after all. He can’t let some random idiot claim you. No way. Unbeknownst to you or Chuuya, he had been working on a little project. A secret project. One that involves disposing off possible suitors, and getting away with it.
Chuuya had an idea of what his fellow butler was upto. He hadn’t let let Dazai know yet, but Chuuya had caught him throwing the body of a young prince in the river a while back. It was wrong and unethical of him, but a sick part of Chuuya wanted you to never find anyone. Because he wanted you for himself. When the time comes, he wouldn’t hesitate to kill Dazai and claim you. So he let Dazai do all the legwork, pretending to be unaware of his secret.
Because you will be his. No matter what.

Paraiba Tourmaline Sacrifices (Part 1)
Rating: Young Adult/YA
Fandom: Psycho Pass
Relationship: Ginoza Nobuchika/Shimotsuki Mika
Characters: Ginoza Nobuchika, Shimotsuki Mika, Frederica Hanashiro, Kei Mikhail Ignatov, Shindo Arata, Kougami Shinya, Sugo Teppei
Language: English
Part: 2
__________________________________________________________
How odd.
Not wanting to waste her time any longer, Shimotsuki Mika calls one of her subordinate. But the person who is now several miles away from her doesn’t pick up the call. It is getting late, and it is out of the schedule plan. It’s sunday, most people probably stay at their house or go out with their family or friends enjoying their day off. But a crime doesn’t care of your beloved day off, it strikes whenever it wants, like it or not. Nearly five hours ago, she rechieved a report to investigate a murder case inside a jewelry shop. She handed it to Division One as it fits with the capability of the aimed division. Their last conversation happened four hours ago, and she hasn’t received further progress from them. According to the report she received, the owner of the jewelry shop is an immigrant from Sri Lanka. She has a hunch that this case will involve The Ministry of Foreign Affairs’s Suppressing Action Departement, or easily known as “S.A.D”. Their involvement is what worries her. She wonders if her subordinates have bumped into them. It’s nothing serious, but she has personal grudge with their assistant officer, who took away her ex-subordinates from her, most of all those who actually capable, and even though she doesn’t want to admit it, her trusted one.
The case is about a murder of an immigrant shop owner, Ranuvitha Semel, who is suspected on having a connection to the black market. The suspect is his own business partner. Ranuvitha used to sells jewelry, as he born from a country which famous of its gemstone. The current missions is to investigate Ranuvitha Semel himself, his business, the person who is suspected as his murderer and lastly, the black market itself. His action on doing such a business without Sibyl noticing is definitely odd. At first, some suspected him as a criminally asyptomatic, before it got debunked as his records shows that he is an ordinary man. The report came after a suspicious actions regarding the business and their sudden increase on purchase numbers.
Several hours later, she finally gets a call. The words on the screen pops up, it’s inspector Kei Mikhail Ignatov.
“How is it?” she asks.
“We are still investigating the matter, inspector Arata just contacted analyst Karanomori to track the suspect after we found out that the now deceased owner of the shop, Ranuvitha Semel, is indeed related with the black market which connected with several countries, including Sri Lanka itself, as his supplier and business partner” the man answers.
“He is a first generation immigrant, all document that isn’t registered and connected with his previous life must still be there—“
“That’s the problem, the suspect took it together with a gemstone, paraiba tourmaline” he adds.
“And how is that possible?”
“We are too late to stop the suspect, I supposed—“
“YOU!” she yells and continues,
“Such a thing like this happened because of your incapability! are you two taking this seriously or not?!”
“We are going to track him down right now, I won’t let such a thing happens again” he says with a sigh.
“AS YOU SHOULD!” she ends the call abruptly, and leans on her chair. She takes a deep breath, and tries to control her anger, which is difficult. While she still controlling her emotions, a video call pops up,
“How is there?” says a woman with honey-blonde hair while smiling teasingly to the screen. The person she wishes to see the least today. Hanashiro Frederica, an Assistant Officer of Suppressing Action Departement.
“What do you want?!”
“How’s your team doing?” Frederica smiles, but Shimotsuki knows so well what’s behind that smile.
“We are still investigating, and if you and your guys interfere our process, I won’t stay still” Shimotsuki says while pointing her finger to the screen.
“Well, too bad because my people already down there. You know that this also be a case for Ministry of Fereign Affairs” Frederica says. Of course Shimotsuki knows that, but she despises every involvement that come from MoFA. Once again, because of her personal grudge and her dislikeness towards Hanashiro Frederica. The woman on the screen continues,
“Now then, let’s share informations don’t we?” her smile fades, and her voice becomes more serious. But Shimotsuki can’t give anything as her team failed to capture the suspect and now playing Tom and Jerry on the road. She doesn’t want to admit that to her, she’s furious with her current situation, but she tries to be professional.
“My team are still investigating the matter, and if you want information, go ask the people from your own department” she cuts the video call, and returns leaning on her chair. It takes several minutes until she comes back focusing with her own tasks.
It’s getting late, and the sky becomes darker. On the street, behind those wall, and under the bridge, something is creeping. In the world under Sibyl System, Japan has turned into something else. It is peace, but it is also hides monstrosity. It says that people who lives in Japan are good people, because every people with bad personality went to jail, or just, ‘gone’. But who says that good people can’t hate? Who thinks that good people can’t kill? Good people can do what bad people do. It’s just that when they do them, they call it justice. At least, that’s come from a book she ever read before.
Shimotsuki plans to go home, but she hasn’t received anything from her subordinates, so she decides to stay longer in the office. But she’s too impatient, so she calls them instead,
“Progr—“ she says but her words get cuts,
“Chief, what a coincidence I just plan to reach you” the man says, he’s Inspector Shindo Arata.
“Continue…”
“We have captured the suspect, he’s unconscious now. We also collected some evidences regarding his business and it’s connection with the black market…” Arata explains.
“And…?”
“Ranuvitha Semel didn’t know that he was doing a business with a black market, that explain why his crime coefficient stays normal. The black market is hiding under a registered company with the name ‘Hidaka Corporation’, which also the main supplier for a big production company” he adds,
“Big company?” she murmur, “—how is the product, anything strange?” she asks.
“Nothing suspicious with the mass products, but for valuable items like jewelry and gemstone we found out that they mixed unlicensed chemical powder with the gemstone, which can dissolve when you mixed with certain degree of hot water, and um…other things that is now being analyzed by Karanomori Shion-san” a drugs. So they sells gemstones as disguise through a jewelry store to their consumers. That answers the question on why the number of purchases increases for something that people don’t often buy.
“Have you investigate the customers?” she asks.
“We got the data already, and I’ll send them to you”
“Alright, now get back to the office and brings the evidence from the black market”
“Well about that, Chief…” Arata says, nervously.
“We are now with the Suppressing Action Departement from Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and they asked for the evidence for further investigation purp—“
“HAH?! NO THEY ARE NOT!”
“Stay right there and don’t let them move any inch! I’ll go to your current location!” Shimotsuki takes her bag and runs towards the lift across her office.
***
Shimotsuki starts her car and sets it to auto-pilot, while she calls towards Frederica Hanashiro.
“I know you will call me” the woman from other side says, she’s still at her office just like when she called her in the evening.
“If you know then stop your people from snatching away of what supposed to be mine!”
“I see, you are on your way to them right? Then I don’t have to bring myself there, one of us is enough” she smiles, and it’s testing Shimotsuki’s patience once again.
“You are not answering me!”
“Ara, in the end the upper will ask us to investigate it after all” Frederica says,
“Then it’s them to decide and not you!”
“We will invite you to our office to discuss this, take this as a request from The Ministry of Foreign Affairs to negotiate with you”
“And if I refuse?”
“We will apply for a request again” Frederica smirks, she knows that she will get that no matter what. Shimotsuki knows damn well that shes’s that kind of person. And she hates it. At the moment like this, she sometimes wondering what will her senior will do. But thinking about Tsunemori Akane only frustrated her. Not that she hates her, she used too, but as time passes by, Akane is the only senior she looks up onto, and one of people she care for. Even now.
Shimotsuki arrives at the location, the whole Division One is there, also three people from Suppressing Action Departement. Including him. Her trusted one.
She gets out from her car, staring at her subordinates and then to S.A.D. Shindo Arata and Kei Mikhail Ignatov comes to her, and giving her a ‘salute’ pose. She responds to them, and stares back to S.A.D. Her ex-subordinates, Sugo Teppei, walks towards her. She knows what he going to say, but still letting him to say it himself.
“Our chief invited you for a meeting with us to discuss this matter” he says calmly, and he adds
“Just you” Shimotsuki sighs.
“What?” says Kei, feeling unacceptable. And before he shouts at Sugo, Shimotsuki stops him,
“I only accept the offer if you let my two inspectors attending the meeting, other than that, I decline” she says, Sugo looks at his team mates, and they nod to each others.
“Very well” he answers.
They hold the meeting in the meeting room inside the Ministry of Foreign Affairs tower. The room is quiet spacious for a room with just one medium-size coffee table, two big and small dark brown couches. The room is sets with warm temperature since it strats snowing outside. There is three huge windows covered the wall and exposing the outside which is now dark and various color of lights from the city starts appearing. Outside, people are selling Christmas ornaments and cookies. She just realizes that it’s Christmas eve tonight. Shimotsuki didn’t celebrate Christmas last year, she off for work. And it’s looks like it will not be any different for this year too. Even though, she doesn’t really mind, but the longing to rest and relax her mind are strong. The S.A.D team enters the room, it looks like they have been discussing something for a while, but letting the guests waiting while you are the one who invited them quite irritates Shimotsuki.
“You sure took a while” Shimotsuki says as they enters the room.
“Paradon us, we are discussing something”
“Do mind it, my side also has something to do too” she says with annoyed tone.
“Well then, let’s get into the business” Frederica says as she glances towards a man with pony-tail, Ginoza Nobuchika. The man nods, and shares a file to all people in the room. They opens it through their device. The screen shows several profiles of immigrants and also Japanese citizens.
“Let me explain what our side purpose and need is. Before this, we are currently investigating some certain immigrants and Japanese citizens who are involved with the black market under the company of Hidaka Corporation and their connection to a big production company. But we found no evidence since they are using normal products to big company. We try to investigate Hidaka Hikoichi, who is currently the CEO of Hidaka Corporation, but found out he knows nothing regarding the black market under his own company, which was proven right. Until we got a report of suspicious action from a jewelry shop that runs by immigrant. We suspected it has something to do with our previous case of black market under Hidaka Corporation. We can’t continue to progress our previous case without evidence, now that this case brings it, we offer you a help and reach for a bigger goal” he explains.
“How is that profitable to our side?” Shimotsuki says, she frowns. He chuckles and continues,
“We believe MWPSB is a non-profit organization, and of course we will also give our collected reports regarding the Japanese citizens who works under Hidaka Corporation and connected with the black market to you” he adds.
“That is not apple to apple. I give you the evidence, you step further from where you are now, you give me the reports it only enrich my my final report to the higher ground” Shimotsuki says as she crosses her arms, staring at him. But the man who sits in front of her doesn’t shudder, instead he smiles at her. She doesn’t know what the meaning of it, but she doesn’t like it. That look he gives to her is somewhat saying that she’s only a kid who is yet to understand this kind of thing.
“Our report also consists regarding what inside the gemstone, since these people we have investigated might involved with the making of the fake gemstone. Each type of gemstone apparently represents different kind of drugs” he says calmly, still with the same smile.
“What do you mean?” Kei asks.
“This is still our assumptions, but if you accept the offer then you might prove our assumptions. For example we suspect they have cocaine for ruby, cannabis for aquamarine, and ecstasy for sapphire” Ginoza answers. This reminds Shimotsuki of what Inspector Kei mentioned before about paraiba tourmaline.
“There are several type of gemstones which Ranuvitha Semel offers, but according to our investigation, three or perhaps more types of them are connected with this case” Ginoza adds, while sending a file to Shimotsuki and her subordinates. Cocaine for ruby, cannabis for aquamarine, ecstasy for sapphire, and what’s for paraiba tourmaline? There is no tourmaline left, even when her team finally caught the suspect, the paraiba tourmaline has already gone.
Even though, she hates to admit it, she feels tempted. It shows all over her face.
“We can use this Chief” says Arata beside her.
“I can agree with that” Kei adds while looking at the report. Shimotsuki glances at Ginoza’s face, to make it more specific, his ‘winning’ face. Besides him, there is Hanashiro Frederica, who also shows the same expressions, while the other two, Shinya Kougami and Sugo Teppei stays with their unreadable faces. She finally comes to conclusion,
“Alright, i take the offer! With this we are now even, internal matters are our turf. Do not ever interfere with our matters again!” she sees Ginoza with a smirk on his face. She reaches her peak of patience.
“Alright, then it settled” Frederica says while getting up and walks leaving the room, follows by Shinya Kougami and Sugo Teppei.
“It’s nice to have a deal with you, kanshikan” Ginoza says, definitely on purpose.
“kanshikan—“ she murmur, then follows with ‘hmph!’ while leaving the room.
Outside the meeting room, Kougami walks towards Ginoza.
“What’s wrong” Ginoza asks, Kougami only gives a smile.
“Nothing, it’s just you seem enjoying yourself” Kougami says.
“What do you mean?”
“You seem enjoy teasing your own junior” he answers.
“She is not my junior, she is my superior”
“was” Kougami corrects him. He chuckles,
“Right, ‘was’”.
***
The snow is getting a little bit thicker, Shimotsuki is out of Ministry of Foreign Affairs building while watching over her two subordinates, Inspector Kei Mikhail Ignatov and Shindo Arata, leaves the place by car. A white smoke comes out from her mouth, she rubs her palm to warms herself as she walks towards her own car.
“Kanshikan” someone calls over her, and it is no doubt from whom the voice is. Ginoza approaches her while she is about to open the car’s door.
“Saying, kanshikan, are you trying to mock me?” she answers, almost like shouting at him.
“I never intend it like that” he lets out a small laughs.
“Then, what do you want from me now?” she asks, ignoring his laugh.
“Nothing, it’s just are you free tonight?”
“Why are you asking?” she stares at him dumbfoundly, but Ginoza doesn’t answer the question.
“I have to work tomorrow, now that you add more into my work lists” she adds while opens the car’s door but Ginoza suddenly holds the door and closes it back. Shimotsuki stares at him questioningly. He walks closer to her, and whispers to her ear
“Kanshikan, will you accompany me just for tonight?” his breaths feels so hot over her skin, and it gives her shivers.
“Wha-what are you doing?!” she yells while her face is blushing. But Ginoza stay still with his awkward position.
“What happens with you?” she asks once again, but more gentle than before, noticing his weird behavior. Something is wrong, she thinks.
“Alright then, just for tonight right” she says while pushes him from her. He lets out another chuckles, and lands a kiss on the left side of her lips.
“Thank you”
To be continue

Ranking My Mains’ Debut Songs
Suggested by the legendary @everlasting-beg, I’m gonna try and rank my main girl groups’ debut songs from least favourite to favourite.
11. LA chA TA - f(x)
LA chA TA is one of those songs I always skip. I’m sorry I just can’t like this song no matter how many times I’ve tried. S.M. seems to have this thing with releasing subpar debut songs for its’ girl groups and only waking the fuck up and starting to give them good songs after the second or third comeback.
10. Into the new world - Girls’ Generation
I KNOW this is gonna be V controversial but hear me out. I love some of Girls’ Generation pre-Gee material like Girls’ Generation (the song), I adore it, I literally cry every time I listen to the chorus. But Into the new world is kinda just “there” for me. I know it has attained a legendary status among girl group songs but I wholeheartedly believe it’s more beause of GG’s own post-Gee stardom and success and less because of the song itself. I don’t necessarily dislike it like LA chA TA but it doesn’t do much for me either.
09. Lie - T-ara
From Lie onwards follow the songs that I actually like. The song itself has all the trademark T-ara must-haves: Soyeon’s melancholic-voice, retro-dance-y music, funny raps by Hyomin and Eunjung and of course Qri getting a single word as a line! Lie is catchy and I like it but it’s far from being an amazing song. The fucking b-side though? NEVER am I gonna skip Wanna Play? in my life.
08. Irony - Wonder Girls - The Wonder Begins
Irony is fun. I love the choreography, I love the music, I love the pretty decent and equal line distribution. I mean, it’s no Tell Me or So Hot but it’s cute. Also HyunA having no lines during the entire song and only doing the rap in the bridge compared to her usual 4Minute line distribution was quite surreal when listening to it for the first time. Also whoever chose that hairstyle for her should be persecuted as a war criminal. Again, we have a much better b-side in the form of Bad boy. I mean, this song is iconic. Sunye, the motherfucking Main vocalist is doing the rap part. Literally who does that other than icons?
07. Hot Issue - 4Minute
I love the energy during every single one of their performances of Hot Issue but I think it’s one of these cases where the song is not that good but because the artist is amazing they carry the song too and make it look good (kinda like every single song Teddy has produced in his entire career) I still prefer MUZIK over this one though. Also I think 4Minute represented the “QuiRkY” fashion thing in their earlier concepts much better than f(x) and maybe even 2NE1 did. f(x) and 2NE1 kind of made it their trademark and are known for wearing ridiuclous shit and still looking pretty but I remember getting a lot of “What the fuck did the do to you?” moments for MANY of f(x)’s and 2NE1′s looks but not as much with 4Minute. Except their awful 4Minutes Left period, that was not good.
06. Bad Girl Good Girl - miss A - Bad But Good
Now, JYP does the exact opposite than what S.M. does; JYP girl groups always debut FULL of potential but somewhere along the lines, rest assured he WILL find a way to screw them over! What’s worse with miss A is that literally all their comebacks that followed (all six of them...) NEVER dissapointed... Anyway... Bad Girl Good Girl is a bop. No more words needed. And of course Looking at Each Other and Love Again are bops too. Break It is pretty cool as well.
05. Come Closer - Brown Eyed Girls - Your Story
Honestly, when starting the ranking I wasn’t sure whether Come Closer would end up... Coming Closer to the bottom half or the top half but here we are! Maybe I didn’t use to care about it that much because I generally don’t like slow songs because I have the soul of a hoe that just wants to listen to loud dance music, but this is one of the few exceptions. I’ve said it a couple of times already but if you haven’t already, LISTEN. TO. YOUR. STORY. It’s THAT good, seriously. Also, I’m removing a few points for Miryo’s dreads... I’m glad this was not repeated ever again.
04. Break It - KARA - The First Bloooooming
“Ya wanna know what I think about you? You ain't nothing to me forget you I'm over all your lies Just look into my eyes to see the new light honey, now”
Bop. Honestly, I’m glad they found success with the concept change (because Korea and Japan ate that shit right up) but I can’t help but wonder how they would have progressed if they had stuck to this “R&B bad bitch” image... I guess Sunghee would have left anyway and I guess Hara and Jiyoung would have still been added which honesty makes me even more intrigued to see how OT5 would tackle a concept like Break It. I just realised I haven’t listened to this in a while and I need to fix this ASAP. Secret World is also pretty good. And I love Sunghee’s voice.
03. Push Push - SISTAR
Like I said before, I’m a hoe. I remember liking this song even in my “I HAtE siStAr” phase which just goes to show how powerful it is. I also think the line distribution was pretty decent and honestly wish Brave Sound had more working braincells and kept this lineup format for later songs but oh well. I don’t even hate the wigs for the jacket shoot!
02. Fire - 2NE1
I always liked Fire but I think I only started appreciating how good it is after their hiatus and eventual disbandment, and even more after one certain group FUCKEDT it up on that one performance. Iconic. The 2NE1 vesion not the "EThnIc HiPp” performance.
01. AH - After School - New Schoolgirl
I’ve come to realize how much I appreciate After School’s music in general over the last few months. They’re definitely in my top five girls, maybe even a solid third place behind 2NE1 and T-ara. AH is no exception. It was perfect for a debut song, their debut stage with the hot pants and Kahi’s abs was EXCEPTIONAL and if Korea had an ounce of taste they wouldn’t have turned their backs on every single comeback sans Because of You... Play Girlz and Bad Guy are SO good too but they’re too damn short, they’re basically an intro and an outro. The line ditribution is horrendous though, I don’t think Juyeon and Soyoung get any lines in the b-sides at all and they don’t get to shine all that much in the lead track either. I adore Kahi and her stage presence but she’s too dominating to let anyone else shine. She’s an icon but she shines better alone than in a group.

Hi I love your blog layout it so tidy!! Also would it be alright if I got a bnha matchup please?. My pronouns are she/her and I'm bisexual. My personality type is ISTJ, I'm a sagittarius sun, scorpio moon and libra rising. To the public I'm pretty closed off/reserved but with my friends I'm brave, loyal and love to laugh. I don't trust easily and I'm pretty cautious of everyone so I try to keep out of the way.
My hobbies include gymnastics which I did competitively and won a few medals, I also do figure skating and have leveled up pretty quickly at that. I workout everyday because even though I dont compete now I still want to improve and if anything I'm better now than I was back then.
I like indie music, horror movies mainly psychological, nature and wildlife and the peace and quiet it brings. I hate loud, busy places, untidy, dirty things and people messing up my routine.
My love language is quality time like I just wanna be around that person a lot. I think the love language that speaks to me most is probably also quality time, like the fact that they would want to be around me willingly seems so unfamiliar I love the idea of it. Also words of affirmation or physical touch, I'm awkward at giving those but receiving them would make me melt cause I'm not really used to any of it. My ideal dates are simple things like going on walks at like 3am or dancing in the livingroom or movie nights just cheap simple things like that.
hope that's okay sorry it kindof long :)
𝐦𝐨𝐝 𝐚𝐫𝐚
Thank you so much for one of our first requests! We appreciate your love for the layout as well!! Tbh, I spent multiple hours straight getting it just right, so it’s a relief people find it pretty- and also, Scorpio moon gang! anyways, I hope you enjoy your matchup from me! Have a lovely day, hun
𝐦𝐨𝐝 𝐚𝐫𝐚 𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 . . .
𝐞𝐣𝐢𝐫𝐨𝐮 𝐤𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐦𝐚 !
runner-up : hanta sero
Easily, Kirishima is one of BNHA’s most easygoing, compassionate characters. His heart is big and always in the right place. Based off of your description and his own array of traits, I think he is the perfect character for you! Like, almost a little too perfect. A Sagittarius and a Libra (Kirishima’s sun sign!) are said to be very compatible and harmonious. Even better, it’s also said that people are often drawn to others who have their sun sign in the ascendant—Kirishima being a Libra sun and you being a Libra rising! To make things even more fantastic, perfect, and everything in between, Kirishima’s MBTI (according to The Personality Database) is ESFP. Guess what? ISTJ’s and ESFP’s are said to be extremely compatible! Of course, he’d find your inner demeanor to be extremely attractive. As he is naturally social, he wouldn’t mind your reserved nature and would pursue you in both friendship & romance regardless. Your outer shell would only lead him to appreciate your comical inner-self even more! He’d greatly admire your bravery and loyalty as well—it’s not something you see often anymore, after all. He’d try to bring the best out of you as naturally as possible, letting you do the same to him. Easily, he’s the most supportive boyfriend you could ever get! This man would adore you with patience, admiration, and sheer love, all with his own cheesy, dorky flair. I imagine Kirishima is careful in love, yet just as bold as the sun. He’s grounded, but on his most passionate days, his admiration can never be paralleled. You’d simply make him weak in the knees with every glance you’d spare him!
𖥸 Your music taste simply infects him. Imagine him listening to indie music with you 🥺🥺 your head in his lap as he plays with your hair- omg!! he loves to just sit and vibe with you. Nothing can compare to the fun you have on your chilliest days- he loves spending time with you in little ways like that
𖥸 Workout dates!! He’s infatuated with you for many reasons, but one of them is because you work out. The dude literally thinks it’s the coolest thing in the world and he adores working out with you. It’s easily his kryptonite lol
𖥸 Kiri has no concept of grace, so he is extremely impressed with your gymnastics and figure skating skills!! He could watch you do your thing for hours tbh. Like, slack-jawed and wide-eyed. In fact, I think he’d try to incorporate more nimbleness to his moves even though such a feat is kinda difficult when you can turn into rock. You gotta give him some credit tho- we all know he can be a little too opportunistic!! Just imagine him tripping all over himself because he wants to be nimble like you- that little blush on his face as he apologies for being a dummy- aww 💕💕
𖥸 Simply the king of casual dates. Sure, he’d love to spoil you with the stars and more, but he knows you like it calm- fr, you two are actually the cutest when it comes to staying up late and just messing around with no care in the world 💕 also, nature dates? Small picnics in the park?? I bet he’d love to go hiking with you. He likes to point out cool flowers or pretty weeds whenever you two are outside for even the shortest amount of time
𖥸 He loves watching horror movies with you.. even though they scare him a little bit LMAO- but just cuddling with you as your favorite movie plays in the background is simply heaven to him. Maybe you can turn him into a psychological horror buff!!
𖥸 He is also the king of words of affirmation~ the dude loves to remind you about how much you mean to him and how confident you make him feel within himself
You two really are couple goals imo 💕💕💕
𝐦𝐨𝐝 𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡
Gahhh!! I was so excited to ship you with someone!! Thank you so much for requesting!! Also! Don’t worry about long bios in your matchup requests! The longer they are the more mod Ara and I can assess who’s best for you! Its definitely preferable. I hope you enjoy who I match you with. ^w^

In my opinion, I feel that Mina is the perfect match for you!! First lets get some compatible basics out of the way. Like our good friend Kirishima above, Minas MBTI is also an ESFP (according to the personality database lol). As we know, ESFPs tend to be the most compatible with ISTJs. To add onto that, Mina just so happens to be a Leo!! Leos and Sagittarius's are often compared to soulmates and having a twin flame like connection! It’s a little scary how well you two fit each other, personality dynamics and all. Though you may have been cautious and quiet at first meet, Mina most likely pestered and wiggled her way into your life! She loves making new friends anyhow, and saw no issue in going out of her way to talk to you every chance she could. Now becoming your girlfriend later on would just be an added bonus for her! You better believe she finds your bravery admirable, it drives right up her alley. The two of you would make an absolute power couple, even a fan favorite!! Often, she’d make jokes or even play along with ones that you make in return, just to be able to hear your laughter. It fills her stomach with butterflies and she’s near falling apart at the seams with every melodic giggle. Get ready to be showered in compliments and praise, that’s this girls specialty, and she’d happily fluster you any day with her sickeningly sweet words.
𖥸 Mina would probably ask you to spar with her a lot. Practicing new moves and quirk related techniques. God knows she loves staying active, and doing something she deems this fun with someone she loves. It makes the moment even more worth while. With your experience in gymnastics, you’d find that you’re able to run circles around this girl with your skill. Afterwards she’d probably offer a massage to ease any sore muscles.
𖥸 Now as much as Mina would probably prefer a night on the town as a date, she would not think twice about choosing a secluded casual option for your comforts sake. Be that stargazing or even staying in to watch one of those horror films that you love oh so much over popcorn and sodas. (She’s actually terrified of them, and has a weak stomach, but she’d never tell you that.)
𖥸 Aimless car drives. Picture the sun setting, painting the sky in a soft pink and an orange hue flickering off of the distant buildings. Your preferred indie song blaring through the speaker while the two of you belt out the lyrics. Neither of you can hear each other over the sound of the wind rolling in through open windows, or how high she cranked the volume. You’ll definitely have to be the one to turn it back down, she can’t help but love loud music, even if the music wasn’t intended to be loud in the first place lol.
𖥸 Don’t be surprised if she comes to you one day with a gift bag in hand. Every time she goes into a store she has to come out with something that reminds her of you. She’s not even aware of it either until you point it out. This could range from something as simple as your favorite drink to a giant teddy bear that she claimed resembled you. The possibilities are endless.
𖥸 My word is she in love, infatuated even. That one night she caught you dancing about in the kitchen, probably making a late night snack, she couldn’t look away. In fact, she still thinks about it from time to time. How happy and carefree you looked lip-syncing the lyrics, in the silliest kinds of pjs you owned. She tried to sneak her way in, trying her best to not to make you jump in surprise, though she probably failed with how eager she actually zoomed in. Her love for dancing couldn’t go unnoticed here, oh no, not now. She brought you in close with a twirl under her arm, her smile the widest you’ve seen it. Her flirty nature, only for you, had her compliments laced with sugar and honey. Who knows how long the two of you spent dancing and goofing off to your playlist in that darned kitchen.
Gosh the two of you make me squeal!! There’s absolutely no way you aren’t made for each other!

Faye and Fate Excerpt word count: 1019 notes: beginning of chapter 1. yes this is confusing. it’s supposed to be. ara herself is confused. she needs a nap. she’s not going to get one. welcome to the first world reset
In a blur of motion, ⬛ lashed out, knocking the pot out of the girls hands, the yellow and purple flowers crashing to the floor. Soil spilled from broken shards, petals pierced into. Aralion flinched backward, and ⬛ froze. “I’m so sorry!” she said, cupping her hands over her mouth, but she didn’t sound genuine. Maybe Aralion was just used to that tone of voice, so accustomed to the lies that she could pick them out even now. “I didn’t mean to do that. Maisy, is your hand okay?” The concern felt fake. It shouldn’t have, but it did.
Maisy was studying the blood collecting at the cuts caused by the explosion, but she didn’t seem worried in the slightest. “I guess you don’t like the arrangement,” she said, her lips quirked upwards. Aralion stared at the blood. Suddenly, seeing the flower crumbled like paper, she couldn’t breath, her fingers shaking at her side. Maisy’s eyes drifted to her and softened. “Li,” she started slowly, and Aralion flinched. She was flinching too much. “Li, it’s okay. We can still fix this.”
“There’s nothing to fix,” ⬛ said. She turned to Aralion, something flashing in her irises, dark and cold. She was a storm, and maybe that made Aralion a fool, to chase after the lightning and crave the warmth that came with that electric pain. “Nothing to reset.”
Reset.
Aralion’s memories flooded back to her, the dam holding them back shattered with the word, and she stumbled back at the sheer force of them. The world seemed to spin beneath her feet. With the revelation of the past came a fuzziness in her mind as she struggled to process each new piece of ancient information. Pieces of broken realities flashed through her mind. Car tires squealed, rain struck umbrellas, static played over speakers. Her throat filled with gasoline and she wondered why she knew the taste. When one memory left, another came; burning buildings and cliffsides, crows with broken wings, rivers made of honey and torn fingernails. Aralion shook her head and clutched her ears, the input too much.
It was then that ⬛ reached for her, her panicked expression smoothing into a reassuring smile. “Aralion, we’re fine,” she reminded. She was quiet, sympathetic, but still too loud. “This is the world we’ve always wanted.”
“You’ve never known what you wanted,” Aralion said, her throat tightening as she stepped further away from ⬛. She felt skeptical, and even more so she was afraid, afraid of her own skepticism and the thought that she was right to feel borderline hysterical. “And do you even know what I want?”
“You want a fairy tale,” ⬛ said. Her eyes echoed Aralion’s dreams from a life she had lived once. “You want a story fit for a classic. You want everything you can have.”
A castle upon a hill, stretching into those golden clouds with the sheer magnitude of its architecture. Wealth, immortality running through their veins. A daring romance, fame, glory from the adventures. She could picture it all, in the distant future. It could be hers. She and ⬛ could be happy, happy and powerful. “You’re wrong,” Aralion said. She felt like Mars, red smoke, clouded and soft, but choking.
⬛ flinched backward. “What? Aralion-”
Aralion wished that ⬛ could confidently say she knew who Ara was, but they had both changed. Her dreams from before were childish. She’d left them behind long ago, but there had been hope that being at ⬛’s side would be enough. Still, the truth was there, in front of her: Aralion didn’t want her happy ending, not anymore. She just wanted things to be over, and right. She wanted her family to be happy, and her friends to be alive, and the world to be safe- safe from ⬛. There was no room for those old, selfish desires. She didn’t deserve it.
Aralion felt her nails digging into her palms. “This world isn’t right. I remember, ⬛. What I’ve done and what I haven’t, and I remember the world we belong to.” Her voice was nasally. Her eyes were watering.
“If you don’t, no one else will,” ⬛ said. She was crying too, repeating words that hadn’t been said yet, but carried the weight of a million lifetimes with them. “If I don’t have you, I have no one.”
Maisy let out a disbelieving laugh. “Really now?” she asked incredulously. She was right to be angry. Through everything, she’d been there for ⬛, loving her even when she had no reason to, determined to pull her away from the shadows. Aralion strained her mind to remember Ethin, and Asrian, and Willow, and Selki, and so many others who had loved Tilia, who would have done anything for her, who were willing to listen should she approach, who had tried to approach her. ⬛ refused to accept it, but they had always been there.
And Aralion… Ara had people too, waiting for her in another universe. She quivered, but drew herself up to her full height, trying to be strong. “Not again, ⬛,” she said, reaching for that magic beneath her fingertips. “I promise. Not this time.”
They stared each other down for a moment. ⬛’s expression hardened. She laughed a little, sneered with a vague hysteria. “Every time, Aralion! You say that every time, but look where we are.” She swung her arm out, gesturing to the world around them. “How many more times until you win?”
“This time,” Ara said. She wanted to be correct. A semblance of hope among the grief.
Electricity fizzled around them as the sky crumbled.
“This time,” ⬛ repeated faintly, her smile growing. “Fine. We’ll see if you can do it this time.”
There was nothing from Maisy, and with a start, Ara realized the flower girl had left, or maybe she was never truly there at all. She was almost thankful. Maisy didn’t deserve to sit through this, to watch ⬛ fall apart all over again. She was another person Ara had to protect in the upcoming world. Another burden that Ara deserved to bare, after all of the mistakes she’d made.
The world glowed with emerald flames. Ara stopped herself from reaching for ⬛’s hand. Reality burned. She clenched her fists and breathed in the smoke, letting herself succumb to another, irrevocative, sempiternal end.
“I just want us to be okay,” ⬛ said.
And then, back to the beginning.

Lee and Janine star as Wonder Inkling, the ink-tastic mom and son duo charged with defending Inkopolis from a mysterious alien invasion. Using ancient technology containing the heroic souls and power of over 100 wonderful heroes, this super powered duo saves the day!

After a period of unrest and attacks on the bustling megalopolis of Inkopolis, its citizenry strived to return to normalcy. A picture of what the city hoped to be lied in the Finjuku district. There, at the Seaside Hill High private academy, students had their lessons as they always did.
Breaking away from the mundanity of being in a stuffy Biology lab, a class was taking place in an outdoor pavilion on the schoolgrounds. The instructor energetically proceeded through his presentation. “--And if you’ll watch carefully, you’ll see the interesting reaction this alga has to this airborne chemical mixture.”
SHEEEOOOOOO—KABOOM!
An ear-piercing whine sliced through the air, followed by an earth rattling explosion miles-off in the distance. Those who managed to recover from the scare of the blast could look up to see the sky being peppered by mysterious midair machinery. The aliens were attacking!
Panic and chaotic confusion immediately set in between students and teachers alike. The more rational educators rushed into action, herding everyone into the school’s main building. In the time since the alien’s arrival, many facilities in the city had received several structural reinforcements to make them safe sanctuaries. Seaside Hill High had been designated one of those safe zones.
The teacher heading the Biology class held one of the armored steel doors open as lines of teens haphazardly filed in. “Single file! Don’t shove! Remember the emergency drills!” He shouted over all the screeching, gently pushing on the shoulder of the occasional passer to keep the way uncongested. “If your classes aren’t on the ground floor then stick together and find a room to hunker down in.” While the educators did their best to keep order, there was no fighting the alarmed disarray.
Soon, the straggling students all managed to seek safety—all except for one who lagged behind even the last teachers rushing in.
“Mr. Squidtalto, you have to get inside!”
“What? Lee?” The Science instructor found one of his students hadn’t taken refuge. Lee Squidly. “What are you still doing out? We have to lockdown the school.” He hurriedly urged.
Lee mysteriously refused. “I know, so you have to get in now!” Confused, but still anxious, Mr. Squidtalto tried to urge him in. In the end, he seemed to concede, “Okay, okay, I’ll go—SIR, LOOK, IT’S AN ALIEN!” He yelped, pointing away.
“WHAT? WHERE?” The teacher followed his direction, only for the Inkling sophomore to shove him in and slam the heavy door closed. Over the sound of the science instructor’s pleading shouts, Lee heard the clangoring noise of the electronic locks safely sealing everyone inside.
With that, the campus was left completely and utterly deserted. The only sign of life left as the alien threat loomed ever closer was Lee. Nobody could see, and nobody would know about the always timid, soft spoken young man.
Glasses clutched in his hand, head raised, shoulders cocked back, he boldly looked toward the oncoming assault. Everybody is safe, I can go stop this.
The brave Inkling didn’t get far out of the school courtyard before he was suddenly ambushed. Two hulking monstrous machines belonging to the alien army dropped directly in front of his path. His reflex was to raise his fists, ready for a fight, only to be swooped upon by a pair of aviary automatons. Surrounded on all sides; even the quickest of quick thinking wouldn’t be able to save him.
The extraterrestrial weapons trained their sights on him. Then, without warning, they fired beams of raw energy directly at him; energy so blisteringly hot they would disintegrate him right on the spot.
Or did they?
If the machines could feel surprise, they would as there was no anticipating their target leaping high into the air, and out of the way of their attack. One of them couldn’t react in time to being pelted by a rapid blasting of ink. As it fell to the counterattack, the rest of them seemed to stare forward, finding the child they attacked had transformed.
Just before the beams struck him, Lee activated his secret weapon. Pinned to his ear was a most wonderful device; one psychically linked to his mind that triggered in one-one billionths of a micro-instant. At the call of “WONDER EYES INKLING!” he donned an all-too familiar burning red costume, only something was distinctly different.
His stance, and the way he gripped a pair of Inkopolis Defense Force issued .96 Gal ink shooters was so much more powerful than ever before. As the one machine began to succumb to the ink spreading through its system, Lee made a declaration.
“I’m a special combat agent of the Inkopolis Defense Force planetary secret service, secret weapon designated for combating extraterrestrial invasion.” As he spoke, the mech fell to its side. “Codename: Wonder Inkling... Junior!” Just as he finished, the robot punctuated his introduction by exploding in a mighty fireball.
Without sparing a moment for their fallen comrade, the three remaining automatons launched another assault.
The empowered boy dodged with great agility, retaliating with super charged shots from his dual weapons. As they failed to hit him and began to succumb to his ink shots, he proposed diplomatically. “Lay down your arms invaders, come peacefully and we won't have to use force!”
One of them remained standing. Camouflaged just long enough by the explosions of its fellow robotic brethren, it moved to attack Lee.
In a flash, it was halted by a pink streak of light delivering a powerful punch. The first hit sent the machine reeling off its feet, followed by a speedy second jab. The strike smashed clean through its metallic carapace, annihilating it just like the rest.
The new arrival was clothed in the same super powered exoskeleton and identity concealing mask as Lee. Only they were colored in flashy, passionate pink. The sight of the suddenly appearing costumed entity made Lee clench his fists tight against his sides and laugh. “Heh-eh, Mom, you made it!” Watching her turn to face him with a skeptical glance made him suddenly remember their decorum. He cleared his throat, straightened his posture, and saluted. “uh-ah-he-hum, thank you for coming, Wonderful One leading the Inkopolis Defense Force Field Operations, codename: Wonder Inkling!”
Her expression softened, and she couldn’t help but giggle. His abrupt eagerness to adopt this superhero persona he created was so charming. “Ara ara, oh honey, it’s so cute when you act like such a little hero!” A mighty clank sounded as she clapped her shining golden colored gauntlets together.
“Tsk, Mom…” He muttered at her fawning.
Just then, a serious, commanding voice buzzed over their communicating radios. “Come in Wonder Inkling Senior and Junior; the aliens are attacking the city. They’re converging on Inkopolis Tower. Make your way to Shee-Booyah as soon as possible.”
It was such a feat that in an instant, the peaceful city could be transformed into a warzone. I.D.F. jets rumbled across the sky while fights with earthbound enemies could be seen on the way to the center of town.
“Looks like we’ve got our work cut out for us.” Janine punched her open hand with her fist. “Ready to go? Partner?”
Standing at her side, Lee readied his pair of super shooters. “I’m right here, ready for anything!” Thinking back; recalling the hours upon days upon weeks of convincing it took to get her to reconsider her decision of ending their ties to the Inkopolis Defense Force and fighting the invaders. Now, they were back in action.
Further fueled by his vigor, the maternal woman said, “That’s my boy. Wonder Inkling, and Wonder Inkling Jr!”
She held out her hand, to which Lee leapt up to smack his own against hers. With their energies combined, the two merged together into the towering form of Unite Kraken.
With their wonderful power surging through their invincible transformation, the Squidly family yelled together. “Team, unite up!” and they charged into battle.
THE END....?

Frescoes and Lullabies
This was a prompt given to me by @queergaymer, to use “So it was you.” So, Solavellan~
Note: The lullaby they sing is the one that’s featured at the bottom of the Elvhen Language wiki page. It’s also a poster on my wall lol
Solas hums to himself as he works on his newest fresco depicting the debacle at Adamant. It’s grown late in the night, only the squawking of a handful of ravens high above him and the occasional footfalls of the night patrol passing outside his door to keep him company. The plaster is stubborn tonight, doesn’t want to take to the colors he wants, but he’s always been one to enjoy a challenge and the monotony of the constant mixing allows him time to ponder the events of the Fade. (In hindsight, it’s perhaps due to his preoccupation that the plaster won’t do what he wants.) But he finds comfort as he always has in watching the way the plaster swirls so thickly in its bowl as he lazily drags his stirrer through it. And so he hums. He hums songs long forgotten by this world, melodies sung by lovers lying lazily in bed, lullabies sung by tired parents to infants who won’t quiet, jaunty songs shared drunkenly around the fire.
The plaster lays easily upon the wall once he has the colors set, and eventually the humming turns into soft singing. After all, there’s no one awake to be bothered since even Dorian had retired to an actual bed earlier that night. He does not get carried away, but as the hours pass by, he does allow himself to raise his voice a little more, and he loses himself so far in his work that he does not hear the soft footsteps passing behind him, does not feel the endearing nor the vibrant green eyes watching his hands move across the wall.
She makes no sound, not wanting to distract him from his work, and he does not take notice of her even after the light of dawn breaking through the windows jars him out of his trance. With a stretch and a yawn, he leans back to admire his work then blinks in surprise when his hand brushes against a plate of food sat beside him. It’s long since gone cold, leftover roast and vegetables from the dinner he’d missed that night, but the bread is still soft and sweet-smelling. His stomach growls its displeasure at him, and begrudgingly he sets his tools down and eats.
When he climbs down the scaffolding at long last and stretches, he is alone again, his mysterious benefactor having taken their leave it would seem. He does not ponder it much further, exhaustion guiding him to his sofa into which he slumps and slips into a deep sleep.
This continues for the following week. Solas stays up well beyond what he considers comfortable, hard at work, she comes to watch him and bring him food, and by the time he’s finished she’s gone.
It’s the sixth night in a row that he finally discovers who has been watching over him. He’s singing again this night, softly because he suspects Leliana is still working in her alcove, but he’s singing. She’s been there about an hour already, watching him with her gentle smile as always, but she can see that he’s beginning to grow tired. His voice has been a little hoarse from these past nights, but tonight it’s softer, more reserved, and he pauses frequently to yawn. As quietly as she has previously, she slips from his desk and makes for the door, until a familiar tune reaches her ears and halts her steps. Her smile which until now had been gentle and amused grows upon her face into a soft grin, and she turns to look up at him.
The song is a lullaby favored by her Hahren to soothe the younger children and babies in the clan. Her steps are silent and her movements fluid as she makes her way up the scaffold, and she sits delicately on the edge, looking at the art that he’s already completed. “…ara ma’nedan ashir. Dirthara lothlenan’as, bal emma mala dir—” His words hault as her voice joins his, and he looks over at her in surprise.
She turns a warm smile to him, her nose crinkled, and his surprise melts away into a warm smile of his own. His hand, stained with the dyes of the plaster, reaches over and settles atop hers as he picks the tune back up with her. “Tel’enfenim, da’len, irassal ma ghilas, ma garas mir renan. Ara ma’athlan venas,” and he leans in, places a soft kiss to her temple, squeezes her hand before he finishes in a low, honey-smooth tone, “Ara ma’athlan vhenas.”
Vikara smiles at him, a soft blush dusting her cheeks, the same light pink as the vallaslin upon her left eye, and she reciprocates his kiss with a quick peck to his nose. He chuckles at it, wiggles his nose in response, and leans back to observe her. She knows she looks tired, having not slept more than a handful of hours this past week, and she can feel the concern with which he takes in the bags under her eyes, the dullness of her hair, but he does not comment on it. Instead, he looks down at the plate of food she’d brought earlier. “So, it was you. I might’ve known since I know of no one else who insists upon staying up all night,” he teases.
She giggles softly, looks back over at his other works. “I heard you singing, came in to talk but you looked so at ease.” She blushes, the tips of her ears darkening, too, as she adds, “I liked watching you work.”
He reaches over and tucks a stray hair behind her ear, brushes his knuckles along her cheekbone. “I appreciated the gesture,” he whispers. As she smiles, he slips his hand around to the other side of her face and gently pulls her to look back at him. “Next time, though, you might stay and talk with me instead.”
She turns her cheek into his hand, lets her eyes close for a long moment, and sighs contentedly. “Well, if you insist.”
He chuckles and moves some of his stuff around to accommodate her better. “I just might. I always enjoy your company, vhenan.”
She settles in, close enough to feel his warmth but not too close as to disrupt his work. “Far be it from me to disobey my elders.”
He lets out a chortle and shakes his head, an amused smirk upon his lips as he goes back to his work. “Oh, no, Vikara of Clan Lavellan is the epitome of obedient,” he teases, bringing another giggle from her. After a long while, he glances at her and nudges her knee. “Tell me. Where did you learn that song?”
She hums and pulls a knee up to rest her elbow upon it. “It’s my Keeper’s favorite lullaby to sing to the children,” she explains, and he tilts his head as he thinks over her words.
In a rare burst of sincere curiosity, he nudges her again. “Tell me more of your clan, vhenan.”

Lucky -- Chapter Twenty-One
Masterlist Previous Next
Warnings: None
Word Count: 3103
“Dance is expressing nature with your body,” Master WooReuk says from his spot on the platform in the classroom. “The wind blows,” he waves his arm across his body. “The rain falls,” he begins to dance as if nature were controlling him.
Hansung has a smile on his face as he mimics the movements.
I can’t help the tight-lipped grin that takes over my face as I move my hand slightly like the boy to my right.
“The sun rises,” Master WooReuk continues his interpretive dance. “Just as the river and ocean flow, so must your body move. Sense it with your body, and let it take over.”
I spot Sooho moving his hands as if he’s figuring out rhythm. These boys all around me seem to be trying to force the rhythm to come to them, but it just doesn’t work that way.
“You must understand the softness…”
I feel Hansung’s hand grab at my thigh, but all I can do is fail to push him away.
“In order to express your feelings through dance, you need to understand the softness. Now, we must stretch out to achieve that softness, or you will risk hurting yourself.”
In the next few minutes, boys spread out across the room, partnering up as they go. I’m not surprised that no one partners up with me, when I go down into the splits without a second thought. However, I am surprised when BanRyu pairs up with Sooho, Sunwoo joins with Jidwi, and Hansung decides to go with Yeowool.
“Such babies,” I giggle as I bend down to reach for my feet. “I’m not even trying.”
“It’s easy for you,” BanRyu groans in pain as his leg is up on Sooho’s shoulder. “You don’t have anything in the way, so you can do it without any real trouble.”
“I’m in pain,” Hansung whines. “I can’t stretch any further.”
“Neither can I,” Yeowool’s chuckle is higher pitched than normal.
“Ara, how are you so flexible?” Sooho smirks at BanRyu’s pain.
“I dipped my toe into all kinds of pools when I was young,” I straighten back up. “Some things stuck, others didn’t. This is one of those stuck things.”
“What didn’t stick?” Yeowool asks.
“Cooking, telling stories, raising birds, and much more,” I raise my leg up into a split position. “Good thing I didn’t give up talking to Hansungie.”
“Hey,” Hansung pouts, wincing as he tries to stretch down towards Yeowool. “I’m not hard to talk. You love talking to me.”
“Says you,” BanRyu grunts out.
“You are pulling too hard,” Sunwoo chokes out.
I look over to see Jidwi pulling on Sunwoo’s arms as he holds his legs apart with his feet.
“I must not like brother’s who make their sister’s cry,” Jidwi glares at Sunwoo. “Either that, or I must be jealous. Not that it really matters.”
I place my foot back on the ground, looking around at my friends in pain. “Okay guys, can someone help me stretch out. I want to find the softness too.”
“Oh, you have the softness already,” BanRyu taunts.
I slap the boy on the back, “Very funny ass. You know, I’m sick of all the harsh words and taunts. I work just as hard as every single one of you guys here. Just because I’m a girl, and maybe a half breed, and smaller than everyone, doesn’t erase that fact. I work hard to prove people like you wrong.”
Sooho lets BanRyu place his leg back on the ground, and my long-time enemy turns to face me.
“What?” I cross my arms over my chest, looking up at him with a daring look on my face. “What do you have to say?”
BanRyu takes a deep breath, standing up straighter. “I’m sorry.”
A noise escapes my mouth that sounds like I am choking on food.
“Ara,” Sooho reaches out, but I just push his hand away.
“Say that again,” I stare up at BanRyu in complete shock.
“I said, I am sorry,” BanRyu lets out a breath.
“Are you being serious? After all these years, you are apologizing.”
“Yes, I am,” his body slouches as the words leave his mouth. “You didn’t deserve the hate, and now we have all been living and training together. We shouldn’t fight. We need to get along. I need to be the bigger person and forgive you.”
“I’m dreaming,” I pinch my cheeks. “Nope, wide awake. Okay, I need to sit down before I pass out.”
“Ara, come here,” Hansung calls out to me.
I slowly turn around, shuffling over to Hansung before sinking to the ground next to him. “He’s sorry, I can’t believe it.”
“Maybe he changed?” Hansung runs a hand over my hair.
“Are you dying?” I look up as BanRyu gets ready to stretch Sooho. “Can’t die with a guilty conscience?”
“Just accept it, okay?” BanRyu shakes his head. “I won’t be saying it again.”
“Fine,” I lean against Hansung. “I don’t know how I feel about it, though. You are confusing.”
“Now that you’re down here, want me to help you find your softness?” Yeowool smirks at me.
“She already has softness,” Hansung quickly has my stomach in his hand and squeezes the fat.
I squeal, a string of giggles leaving my mouth. “Hansungie,” I flail to get out of my best friend’s grasp, but he just pulls me into his lap.
“Can you please stop reminding us of how alone we all are?” A boy calls out.
“You all have a chance,” I look around at the boys in the room. “Not while we are in here, of course, but later.”
“Sure we do,” another boy calls out.
“Honey, don’t tease,” Hansung breathes out just loud enough for me to here.”
“Enough,” I place my feet on Yeowool’s feet as he is not in front of me. “I need to help all of you get the softness, so let’s go.”
“I don’t think I can find the softness; I’ll just pull a muscle or something,” Sooho groans as BanRyu lifts his leg.
“Come on, grab my hands,” I lean forward, holding my hands out for Yeowool. “I am down as far as I can go, so I think you can grab me.”
Yeowool leans forward, grabbing my hands. “Do not pull back, or I may scream.”
“Just a little,” I tug him towards me. “Stretching isn’t just about finding the softness. It helps to relax the muscles.”
Hansung’s hands roam my back, “We’ll never be nearly as good as you, Ara.”
“Whatever,” I roll my eyes. “Regardless, I will do what I can to help you all.”
********
“I don’t know about this, Hansung,” I pout as we stand outside of Master Wihwa’s office. “What if he tells us that we have to go back to our old room? I don’t think that I can stomach going back there. Those boys were terrible, and I like being able to sleep through the night.”
“I know, but we need to tell him,” Hansung sighs. “If we keep going behind his back, it just means when he finds out it will be worse for us.”
“I guess, but I am still scared of what he is going to say.”
“Whatever he says, we will get through it together,” he grabs my hand, knocking on the door. “I can promise you that.”
“Come in!” Master Wihwa replies.
Hansung opens the door, and we both step into the small room.
“Ah, what brings you two here?” Master Wihwa gently smiles.
Hansung and I step closer to him.
“We have to tell you that we broke a rule,” I sigh, feeling like my heart might explode.
“What rule?” Master Wihwa frowns. “I don’t take the two of you as rule breakers.”
“We switched rooms, master,” Hansung bows his head. “We could not stay in the room that we were given on the first day here, and I know that we should have switched on that day, but I did not realize just how bad our roommates were going to be. They tease Ara every single, and make comments that make her feel less than a person. I try to stand up for her, but they just don’t learn. They also say things about me, but I do my best to brush it off. We went to room with Sooho and the others in his room. They treat us with respect, and we feel safe with them.”
“Please sir, don’t send me back to our other room,” I plead, bowing my head like Hansung.
“I commend you for coming to me and not going behind my back,” Master Wihwa speaks up. “It shows that you are brave, and that the problems was big enough that you needed to change to continue to do your best here. I really don’t care who you room with, so stay where you are. Just, make sure that you are eating with them, shower with them Hansung, and stick with them.”
My head pops up, “Of course!”
“Thank you so much,” Hansung bows before straightening up. “It feels nice to know that you are on our side.”
“You are free to go back, then, but Ara, if you could please, I need to talk to you,” Master Wihwa looks at me.
“Me?” I choke out, feeling my heart speed up. There are so many things that he could need to talk to me about, and I can’t think of any that are good.
“I’ll wait for you outside. Keep your head up, and it will all go well,” Hansung gives my hand a squeeze before turning and walking about of the room.
“What do you need to talk to me about, master?” I take a deep breath, trying to calm myself down.
“It is nothing bad, so you can relax,” Master Wihwa chuckles. “I am not kicking you out of Hwarang, Star Eyes. You are working harder than some of the boys here. You have proven to be tough, and I applaud you for that. I can only imagine that it is hard for you being the only girl.”
“It has been interesting,” I shrug, feeling my cheeks heating up from his praise. “Being the only girl has proved to have its difficulties, but everyone is going through their own struggles. I am just taking it one day at a time with my friends.”
“I know that it is hard dealing with all these stupid boys, but you are doing a great job of powering through. I’m sure that any other girl in your position would have given up after half the amount of comments made towards you, but you just keep on going. I knew that I was right when letting you stay.”
“Thank you, sir, that means a lot.”
“How are the living arrangements now that you have switched rooms?”
“They are good,” I nod. “I share a bed with one of the boys, but I was doing that with Hansung before. It is comfortable.”
“And when you shower? None of the boys have walked in on you?”
“Once, and I was able to hide before throwing soap at them,” I slightly smile. “I feel good her, so don’t worry about me. I am safe, and I am proving people wrong.”
“That’s good,” he grins. “I will keep looking out for you, Star Eyes. Now, go back to your duties.”
I nod, turning on my heel and then skipping out of his office.
“Why are you so giddy about?” Hansung pinches my cheek as I step up to him.
“Nothing,” I giggle. “Master Wihwa just told me that he is proud of where I am, even if I am the only girl in here.”
“Well, I have to agree that you are strong,” Hansung grabs my hand, tugging me forward. “You are doing a wonderful job, honey.”
“Thank you, Hansungie. It means a lot coming from you.”
“What are we going to go do now?” He swings our clasped hands.
“We could go back to practicing our dance with the others, or we could go to the horses and check on them. The river might even be fun to go play in. Whatever you want to do, I am up for.”
“We could practice our dance moves at the river.”
“Oh, a perfect idea,” I giggle. “I’ll still splash you whenever I can.”
“Of course you will,” he pokes my side. “With the moves that you have to do, it should be easy for you to throw water at me.”
“And you will do the same to me,” I poke his side. “Now, come on, let’s get to the river!”
********
I sigh as I’m half on Hansung’s lap and half on the wooden bench as we eat our meal. The table is still cramped with seven people, but they are my new roommates, and I enjoy eating with the ones I consider my closest friends.
Hansung feeds me some rice as we share a food tray for convenience.
Yeowool sits down across from Hansung and I. “Why are you here? Not you Ara, as you are lovely and I have no problem letting you sit here,” he smiles at me.
“Master Wihwa said we need to stay here,” Hansung answer with cheeks full of food.
I nod, remembering the talk Hansung and I had with the head of Hwarang just yesterday. “He was very understanding,” I nibble on my bottom lip as I think over the conversation.
“I was surprised,” Yeowool’s voice has me blinking back to reality. “You dance well,” he directs at BanRyu. “I see hidden talent. Like you have practiced before.”
I look down to see BanRyu pointing his spoon at Yeowool.
“Shut up and eat,” BanRyu sneers.
“Hm,” Yeowool thoughtfully nods. “Alright, I will do,” he begins spooning food into his mouth.
“I think you all kind of suck at dancing,” I mumble, shoving sprouts into my mouth with my fingers.
Sooho spoons rice from his own bowl into Jidwi’s rice bowl draws my attention over to those two boys. I’ve heard that Jidwi hasn’t been feeling well recently, so maybe Sooho is trying to help him keep his strength up with more food. Though, Jidwi looks fairly well to me.
“Are you still off limits?” Sooho asks.
I run my tongue over my lips as my eyebrows furrow together.
“When I give someone food, it is a huge deal. You better not be weak because you are sick,” Sooho raises his spoon for a second.
Jidwi stares down at his food. Not even making much of an attempt to eat, but that doesn’t have to mean that he is sick.
“Sooho, what are you talking about?” I carefully examine the supposedly sick Jidwi. “I know that Jidwi has been sleeping more, but any of us could be tired from all the work we are doing.”
“He looks fine to me,” Yeowool adds.
Jidwi slowly raises his hand to cover his mouth, coughing and wiping away nonexistent snot. “I am a little sick.”
“Don’t get Ara sick,” Sooho slaps his hand down on the table.
“I feel great, actually,” I timidly raise my hand. “Not feeling ill at all.”
“That’s good,” Hansung pats my thigh.
“I must do well on this performance no matter what,” Sooho says. “I plan to show the Queen my deep loyalty to her. So, please cooperate.”
“I’m doing it for the people,” I state, knowing that the boys probably aren’t listening.
“Okay?” Sooho raps his knuckles on the table near Sunwoo. “Cooperate.”
“Loyalty?” Yeowool snickers. “Are you sure about that? Did you think about it at all?”
“What?” Sooho’s face falls, and he looks down at his food.
“The Queen forced us into this,” I speak up. “She pushed her kids away. The King should be ruling, yet he’s not. That’s why I serve the people, and not someone on a pedestal. That is why I work hard as a Hwarang.”
“So, you hate the faceless king?” Jidwi coughs, looking over at me.
“I don’t hate him, no. I just wish he could stand up to his mother and take over like he is meant to. He’s king, and I just want to see his face once to know he’s real, and that he wants to protect Silla. That he cares about us.”
“What if you have seen him?”
“Like he walks around as a common person?” I chuckle. “I don’t think so. He’s probably not even in the capital as we speak. I bet he has no idea about Hwarang. I can only hope that he wants to come back, but even then, I can only hope.”
“Is this one of your feelings?” Hansung asks, poking my side.
“No, because it’s just a guess I am making from all that I know and have heard,” I shrug. “Until he comes back, a guess is all we can give.”
“I’m sure you’ll meet the king one day,” Jidwi sniffles. “He’ll want to meet you, Ara, the girl with the universe in her eyes.”
I smile, looking away as my cheeks begin to heat up. “I’m not too sure about that, but thank you. That makes me feel good.”
“You don’t need the king to cheer you up and make you feel special,” Yeowool pats my hand.
“That’s what we are here for,” Sooho speaks up.
“Yeah,” Hansung rubs his cheek on mine. “We have to keep the princess happy.”
“All of you just shut up and eat,” I giggle, shaking my head. “Flattery is nice, though. All of you are so sweet.”
“She didn’t even dispute the princess part,” BanRyu smirks.
“Don’t even dare, BanRyu,” I toss a sprout over at him. “I thought that we were on the path to become friends.”
“Friends is a strong word.”
“Forget him,” Sooho leans in towards me. “You are our princess, and we are never going to stop thinking it.”
“With how pretty you are, how come we?” Yeowool smiles.
“You have the night sky in your eyes, that must mean something,” Hansung adds in.
“Please all of you, can we just move on?” I roll my eyes as a chuckle passes through my lips.
The banter explodes over the table as the boys try to get their thoughts out. All I can do is smile and feel so blessed in this moment. These crazy boys really do make days here exciting.
I feel so lucky to have been accepted here. It is not luck, though. It’s deeper than that and more explainable. These boys are my friends by their own choice. Luck had nothing to do with it.

Author: Randombtsprincessa
Characters: Yoongi x Reader
Chapter: 01 02
“Can’t you just go and check? I haven’t even had my coffee yet!” Taehyung said as I held on tightly to his forearm, unwilling to let him slip away from me when my sweet, amazing partner had already been snatched from me by the cruel Mr. Kim. Genius or not, the chance I was willing to give Min Yoongi was already gnawing in my mind. Maybe I should’ve told Namjoon that Yoongi had implied I try to seduce him. Maybe that would change his mind but I doubted it.
“Why do you need coffee to check a studio listing?” I mumbled. “I don’t want to see Suran so early in the morning. She asked me for my number yesterday. I mean, what for? We’ll see each other every day anyway.” He said. I blinked in surprise.
Tae was right. Why would Suran need his number? The project was dead lined to an entire month and Tae had never ever missed a class. Yoongi hadn’t asked and I hadn’t even thought about anything other than getting rid of him. Again, the words ‘truce for now’ cause a pang in my chest.
“I’m too scared.” Tae whispered.
“Relax, Tae bear you’ll be fine.” I said.
“Easy for you to say; you’re working with Min Yoongi.” He mumbled.
I stopped in my tracks. “What’s that supposed to mean?” I demanded.
Was there something that Taehyung knew about Yoongi? Why would Taehyung - sweet, awkward, smart and hard working Taehyung - know anything about rude, abrasive, harsh and mean Min Yoongi? I didn’t even know he was in our class. Yet, Mr. Kim had called him a genius and Taehyung knew about him? What had I missed?
Taehyung frowned at me through his glasses. “Well, you know; he is Min Yoongi; he’s had all of his mixes labeled at number one by Kim. He always beats us by some tone or nuance that Kim likes more. He doesn’t even have a partner. The guy he was working with changed majors to dance and Yoongi said he was ok alone. He must really be good.” Taehyung actually sounded gruff for the first time ever. “Some of his work plays in Dark Wild. Haven’t you heard any of the playlists Namjoon posts on the college website?” he looked at me like I had one eye.
“No…” I trailed off.
I suddenly felt like an idiot. Min Yoongi had his songs played in Dark Wild and I didn’t even know it. Was that why he was so arrogant? He felt like he had made it big already so he looked down on others? I never knew Mr. Kim ranked our mixes instead of just grading them. I felt uninformed.
“Why didn’t you ever tell me?” I hissed.
“Hey, ow, I thought you already knew!” Taehyung winced when my fingers dug in harshly into his arm. “I just thought you didn’t care about the first place.” he said.
I frowned at him.
“Tae, but you care, you should’ve told me, we could’ve done something to get first rank.” I said.
“That’s never going to happen with Min here, which is basically ever. Its second place for us, Y/N.” he said. I pouted as we resumed our walk towards the bulletin boards. “We’ll work harder.” I promised.
“Don’t worry about it. At least, you’ll have your name up on the first rank.” He said wistfully. “Or…I will sabotage him so you get your spot. I only care about the first rank if you get it, Tae.” I said.
He shushed me, looking around. “You can’t say that stuff around. If something happens, it will come on you.” He said, his eyes wide, making me laugh at his innocence. “Ok, I won’t, you dork.” I nudged him to keep moving and finally we made it to the boards where we pushed past – Taehyung got dragged – students to the front.
“Oh god, where are we?” Taehyung asked.
“I got Studio Genius. You got Hope World.” I paused and looked at him with a grin. He mouthed at the list before giving me his boxed grin too. “We’re next to each other!” he cheered before looking about with a hint of blush on his cheeks. I laughed, pulling him away from the crowd.
“This is amazing. We can visit each other when we want to.” I said.
“What if Yoongi doesn’t like it?” he asked.
“Then Yoongi can suck your cock,” I said.
“Y/N, I’m older than you! God, have some respect. If not for him then me, besides I’m not gay.” He swatted at me and I rolled my eyes before checking the time.
“Ok, time for class.” I sighed. “Thank god, I’ll go get my coffee.”
“Careful not to melt in front of the barista,” I teased. “Brat,” he grumbled but I caught his grin as we parted ways.
“Where were you? I’ve been waiting for 15 minutes for you!” Yerin said when I arrived, panting in front of our desk. “Sorry, had to check a listing with Tae,” I told her, sliding into my place next to her.
“Un huh….Well, make sure to tell him that we all are going to a party today.” She said, picking her pen up.
I groaned.
“Yerin, we went to a party just the day before yesterday! I can’t physically party today.” I moaned. “I’m not taking no for an answer, Y/N. I will hogtie you if I have to.” She said. “Well, you’re going to have to because I can’t. I…want to spend some time with Sehun. He’s being extra sweet these days. I want to get what I can out of that as long as it lasts.” I said. She slowly turned to me and raised my eyebrows, making me groan again.
“You’re so disgusting. I didn’t mean it like that.” I said.
She chuckled. “It wouldn’t be so bad if you did though, I have stayed over at your place when he came over. I think I know how sweet he really is or rather, how sweet you are.” She smirked, looking down into her notebook and I let out a wail of anguish. “Please tell me you didn’t!” I said. “Oh honey, Ara and Doona might be too nice to tell you to shut it but if I was your roommate I would’ve punched a hole through your walls. Or at least left you guys to finish it, as one of your best friends, it would be unethical of me to cock block you.” She said.
I put my head down on my arms, feeling boiling blood rear up like stallions in my face, unable to look up into her face again. Sehun and I weren’t that loud, were we? We always tried to be considerate of the others, which is why he rarely came over unless it was just to sleep. I would go over to his apartment more.
I felt her nudge my arm again.
“You can hide all you want right now. I want you hot and dolled up for the party, I am going to come over to make sure you look sexy.” She hissed into my exposed ear.
“Please Yerin, youre torturing me,” I whined.
“That’s in the job description, babe. Plus, all you have to do is sit still and let me wield a brush on your face.” She said. “Too bad, we can’t all look naturally hot like you.” I hissed back, looking up slightly to glare at her.
She shrugged in a ‘what can you do?’ manner and I put my head back again.
“I am not coming.” I said decisively.
There was a pause.
“We’ll see about that.” She said back sounding equally as decisive.
I rushed out of the class, trying to vanish before Yerin could catch me. My hasty retreat was spoiled, however, when I saw Sehun leaning in front of the hall, making me feet naturally gravitate towards him in confusion.
“Hey,” he said, looking up from his phone, the frown marring his face lightening slightly but not turning into a smile. My eyes darted from his face to the phone. “Sehun, is everything ok?” I asked.
He shrugged, finally giving me a small smile. “Sure, everything’s fine. It’s just that gig I told you about. Yeah, I have to put in extra hours for practice.” He waved the phone nonchalantly in the air before shoving it in his pocket. “How was class?” he asked, holding out his hand to me. “It was fine. I have to actually,” began when I heard the dreaded call.
“Sehun; are you up for a party tonight?”
I groaned, burying my face in his jacket. “Please say no,” I begged.
“Why, what’s wrong with going out tonight?” he asked quietly as he watched Yerin’s approach.
“I…” I trailed off as she finally reached us.
“Well,” Yerin stared at him expectantly.
“Sure, I’m fine. God knows I need to get out more.” He shrugged, looking down to see my expression.
“Perfect, we have that sorted then. Y/N, I’ll be at your at 6 sharp. We’ll all meet there at 8? I mean, it’s Friday. We can afford to stay out late.” She pointedly pouted at me.
“Don’t ‘puppy eye’ me, Yerin.” I warned. She stuck out her tongue at me before throwing Sehun a grateful grin. “Thanks for dragging this lump.” She said before turning on her heel and walking away.
“She’s something else, I swear. Come on, its Kim’s class.” I said, pulling Sehun along. “I told you to say no.” I said.
“I think it’s a good idea, Y/N. I haven’t gotten out in ages. I haven’t taken you out in ages. We could make this a date. Besides, I can ask around if the guys from my dance class want to come. You should meet them.” He said.
“You…want to take me on a date?” I teased, slowly running my fingers up his arm.
He paused, clearing his throat before grabbing my hand from his arm. “Is that wrong?” he asked, his voice a little stiff. “No, I like it, Sehun.” I eyed the way he removed my hand from his skin but didn’t say anything as we reached the class doors.
“A date would pick me up.” I said.
“A date would but we’re going with friends. The date will start once you show up at the club. Maybe then your date will save you a dance and a drink.” He grinned and I blinked; my cheeks heating, at the prospect of having him buy me drinks, where I’d been prowling about for a guy to get me drinks not two days ago.
I was right. Sobriety was going to make me feel guilty some way or another.
“Hey, you ok?” he asked.
“Sure, I just…I just missed you, you know.” I whispered.
There was a pause in which I felt his eyes boring into mine.
I looked up to see his face too close to mine, a frown on it again, like he just couldn’t feel relaxed today. “I miss you too. I hope you know that. I’m trying, ok?” he whispered.
He was positioned near the door and over his shoulder; I could see the students, busy chatting while waiting for the class to actually start. I could see Tae sitting huddled in his seat as Suran busily wrote things beside him in a notebook, lyrics mostly. Two seats down, my eyes froze. Min Yoongi was already in the bench and he had left the seat I had said I was going to sit in.
Also, his eyes were fixed on me.
My mouth ran dry and my breath caught momentarily at the sudden eye contact. Why was he staring at me? I thought that he might find his phone more interesting than student watching. His eyes, dark even from a distance bored into me before, very subtly, he raised an eyebrow, his eyes darting to Sehun’s back for a split second.
I felt scared all of a sudden. He didn’t know Sehun, did he? He wouldn’t say a word to him. We had a truce on. He couldn’t even see Sehun’s face right now.
“Y/N, tell me what’s wrong?” Sehun asked suddenly, his hands coming up to cradle my face.
I looked at him in a panic. “Nothing, absolutely nothing, I’ll see you at Dark Wild.” I said, reaching up to press my lips to his in a desperate kiss which made him stumble back before I practically shoved him away from the class doors and hurried inside.
By the time I was sitting next to him, Yoongi was already deep in his phone, not even bothering with a ‘hi’. I could live with that. I could completely abide by his indifference as long he stayed far away from me. Truce or not, I just wasn’t willing to put my guard down around him.
I turned my seat to look at Tae but he didn’t look at me. His hood was up, his glasses high on his nose, his lips pulled into a pout, and he mostly likely had his earphones in so he wouldn’t be able to listen to anything Suran said.
Out of the corner of my eye, I turned to glance at Yoongi to see him biting his lip, his fingernails busy tapping on the phone screen, steadily. I looked at the phone to see and snorted, “Piano Tiles,” I said in surprised amusement.
Yoongi’s fingers paused and he turned to look at me, his blond hair shiny in the fluorescent lights. “Got a problem, sweetheart?” he asked coldly. I shrugged, looking away as Kim finally marched in, adjusting his tie and casting a look around the class. “Mingling with the new partners, I see. Good, good,” he said.
There was some uncomfortable shuffling around but no one really argued.
Of course, I couldn’t help myself from looking at him and I saw he was already giving me a cold smirk, as if he knew exactly what I was thinking. His fingers were tapping out piano tiles again, too fast for me comprehend. I looked away again.
“Right, so now that we’re all here. Let’s get to it shall we? I want you all to know that the studios aren’t being given out to you like Halloween candy. They are still meant only for juniors and seniors but time has been allotted for sophomores this year so use it well. You will only be able to work in the studios while your class time is in session, if you have special permission or a junior or senior is willing to let you in. Which means that any other time, you feel like meandering in the studio and rebel around, it will not be tolerated.” He looked around the class sternly.
“The equipment in the studio is expensive. If you don’t know what you are doing, call for someone. I don’t want any student to be liable to pay for some fancy mechanical object you can’t even pronounce.” Again, a look was casted around to see he was understood.
“Also, I do not care if you have not been around for some time. The studio is not for your personal activities. I think we’re all adult enough to know that fiction cannot be actually lived out in real life.” He looked away a little and adjusted his tie again.
Was he getting red around the neck?
I heard a chuckle next to me and looked at Yoongi who was slumping again, his knee resting on the front bench, his eyes, derisive on Namjoon. He caught my look and his smirk intensified, “He’s speaking from personal experience.” He muttered.
I made a disgusted face but bit my lip, unable to help the grin. He had to be right. Namjoon was embarrassed as he finally looked up at the class.
“If you all understand what I’m trying to say, I hope you have checked which studio you got allotted. You know where they are. Go and start checking them out. I don’t want any of you wandering. Remember, this project counts for your final grade.” He warned.
I grabbed my bag first, narrowing my eyes at my partner who sighed, looking reluctant to stop his stupid game. He glanced at me for a second before standing up, his bag clutched in his hand and he followed me slowly.
I moved quicker to catch up with Tae and I was right. A wire ran down from his neck into his pocket and I tugged it out of his ear making him look at me.
“Sorry, didn’t you see me?” I asked, linking in our arms.
“Yeah, sorry, I haven’t put my head up for half an hour now. Where’s your esteemed partner?” he asked. I turned around to look to see if Yoongi was still behind but he had vanished. I sighed. I knew it. The delinquent had to vanish and leave me hanging.
“He left.” I said.
Tae frowned. “He can’t do that. Namjoon or someone might catch him and report him. Your project won’t even get to start.” He said. I shook my head. “Maybe then you’ll get your first place.” I said. He rolled his eyes as we reached Hope World studio. “This is me. I’ll try to visit, ok?” he asked. I nodded, moving next door, studying the plaque of Genius Lab inscribed on the fogged glass.
I punched in the code and pushed it open, looking around.
It wasn’t small, but it wasn’t all that big either. A small couch lay on one side of the door, keyboards, drum sets, a sound board lining the desk. Music sheets lay in a pile on the desk and it looked like it had been freshly cleaned. I brushed my hand on the mike set and guitars when I heard a thud in the quiet space, making me squeal in fright.
“Relax, it’s just me.”
Yoongi looked too big in the studio but he looked at home, as if he’d been here countless time. He moved the pile of music sheets away and studied them critically before putting them in a drawer and clearing out a table as he pulled a sound board on top of it. “You know how to operate anything here?” he shot at me.
“Yes, of course,” I said, miffed.
“Not the instruments, sweetheart, that’s semantics. I mean the real deal, the kits, the boards, the computer programs.” He leaned back on the desk, arms folded, head tilted back slightly as he stared at me, “Let me guess, no, you don’t.”
I didn’t say anything.
Truth was I never needed to do that. Taehyung had an entire space set up for music which he called V space. I didn’t even know why he called it that. He made everything we decided on there while I sorted out the files.
“Right, well, today’s going to be shot with you in here and I don’t have the time or inclination to teach you anything today. I’m going to need my energy tonight and making sure you follow is going to be enough of a drain. You can head off to visit Taehyung if you want. Or you can tag along with me and see if we can come up with some lyrics during lunch,” he picked up his bag again and walked out the door, leaving me to gape after him.
Did he just ask me eat lunch with him? Did I want to eat lunch with him? Of course, now that I knew he was a veritable genius I knew he could make the entire project by himself and then erase me out of it completely. I couldn’t let him do that.
Picking up my bag, I rushed after him after making sure the door locked.
I stared at him as he hunched over the table, his arms surrounding the paper on which he was scribbling as if it was his first born child.
Yoongi had led me straight to one of the more backward cafes, some place I had never been. He had placed his order and quickly grabbed a seat while I was left to order something and slowly deposit myself in front of him. It didn’t seem like he even noticed, he was already writing down on a pad, lyrics most likely. I had shifted, coughed, to get his attention but he was completely engrossed. After a few minutes I gave up, choosing to stare at this ‘genius’ in front of me.
People said that genius had to be borne of pain. Well, Min Yoongi didn’t seem much borne of pain. His clothes looked eccentric yes like he’d just thrown whatever suited his bad boy image but now when I was studying him it struck me his clothes were definitely high end and very obviously designer.
He was dressed in all black today, the black t-shirt stretching across his chest. With the padded jacket he’d left open and a black cap now nestled backwards on his still blond hair. They were all labeled Puma.
Our order came and the waiter left but he didn’t move, his fingers still scribbling against the paper. I coughed again and he looked up finally, throwing an annoyed look at me. “Will you stop sniffling? Go get yourself a cough drop.” He snapped before his head dropped back down.
“Yoongi, if you’re making lyrics I should be in on it,” I said.
“You will be; these are just ideas.” He muttered. “Well, show me,” I demanded. He gave me a look. “Show me yours.” He said. My mouth dropped and he rolled his eyes. “Ideas; show me your ideas, trust me sweetheart, I can do better than you.” He waited as I retracted my arm. “Don’t have any ideas, do you? Maybe, if you think more and stare less at me,” he trailed off, his attention back on his writings and I clenched my jaw.
I was being stupid. This wasn’t Taehyung, I couldn’t wait for him to come to me and I was definitely not going to go to him. I picked up my bag and took my drink. “Well, I will show you my ideas tomorrow and I am not staring at you.” I was out of my seat, on the way out when I heard him pipe up, “Whatever you say sweetheart.”
Lights flashed around me as I clutched on to my glass, my lips quirked up as I stared at Ara and Doona dance to touch my body, doing the silly cover move and giggling. Beside me Yerin was deep in conversation with Taehyung, who looked mildly alarmed as Yerin was animatedly moving her hands. He kept dodging out of the way to avoid getting hit by them. On my other side, Sehun had an arm slung over my shoulder, a beer bottle in his hand.
His face was red from dancing earlier and while I still had some form of energy left, his was gone as he said, he needed to drink to recharge. Now, he was chatting with Baekhyun and Sebastian, two guys who had tagged along with Tae. “I know, acting can take quite a toll.” Baekhyun was saying when I tuned into their conversation.
Like me, it seemed like Sebastian had been relegated to the background. He didn’t speak much but he did keep an eye on Tae, maybe because Baek had told him to.
I turned to Yerin when she sighed, putting her head down on my shoulder. “Go dance with the others.” I said.
“I can’t, I’m waiting for Jungkook to show up so I can introduce him. If he’s not here in 15 seconds…”
“What will you do?”
We both turned around to look at the person who spoke and Yerin’s face split into a mischievous grin. “Maybe you’ll find out when you are actually late.” She giggled. The boy grinned back, wrapping a muscular arm around my best friend and pulling her in for a chaste kiss. “Maybe later then,” he mumbled. I glanced over to the girls and beckoned them over as Yerin and Jungkook pulled apart.
“Right, are we all here?” Yerin asked.
“There are still the guys from my dance class.” Sehun muttered. “Oh, well, we’ll get to them later. Jungkook, this is Ara, Doona, Taehyung and Y/N, my best friends. This is Sehun, Y/N’s boyfriend. That’s Baekhyun and Sebastian, Tae’s friends. Guys, this is Jeon Jungkook, the guy for however long he can put up with me.” Yerin said.
“Wow, I love your self esteem.” Jungkook muttered before nodding at us. “Hi, it’s nice to meet you.”
“Word of advice; you better put up with Yerin. She acts like a badass but if you hurt her we will cut you.” Ara said as Doona and I nodded. “Ara, babe, I can do the threatening myself. You sound like my dad.” Yerin said glumly but Jungkook grinned, toasting Ara, “Noted, don’t worry,” he said.
“Anyways, I am recharged enough.” I said, pulling away from Sehun and grinning at the girls. “How about the four of us leave the guys to gawk at us?” I muttered slyly and with cheerful shouts, we all turned to the dance floor while pulling Tae along with us.
“This is one of Yoongi’s pieces.” Tae shouted in my ear suddenly as I made him twirl by crouching under my arm. I froze at his name. “It is?” I asked and Tae nodded as Yerin gripped his other arm and pulled him away from me.
I stayed where I was, my steps decidedly slowed as I focused on the music, trying to work out the beats from the fast almost harsh sounding tune. It was just music with no words but I could almost see him in the deep basses. It reminded me of his gruff voice.
“Y/N, come on, I need another drink!” Doona said and we returned to our seats in the bar when Sehun came up to me. “Babe, Doona, these are the guys from my dance class.” He said. He jerked a thumb over his shoulder and pulled us to the counter where three guys were standing.
“Guys, this is Y/N. Y/N, this is Hoseok, our class leader and Jimin, the assistant choreographer. Oh and this is Yoongi, I think you know him, he’s in your music class.” Sehun said.
My steps had already faltered the second I recognized him, even if his back to me. I would recognize that particular shade of Blond anywhere. He turned slowly, his eyes piercing into me once before quickly darting to Sehun and his arm around me, his lips quirking ever so slightly.
“Hi,” my eyes moved to Hoseok who smiled widely at me, his hand stretching towards me. “I’m Hobi,” he said. “Hi Hobi,” I said smiling as Jimin stuck his hand too, a small cute smile on his face, his swollen eyes shutting into beautiful crescents. He was the type that just asked for his cheeks to be squished. I had an irrational urge to run my finger into his frumpy hair. “I’m Jimin. The cutest Mochi about,” he said and I giggled, shaking his hand too. “Hey, Park, keep the flirting to a minimum.” Sehun warned and laughter echoed in our small group. Hobi and Jimin shook hands with Doona before she slipped away to get a drink.
“Hi Yoongi,” I said finally, cautiously, when he made no move to say anything. His eyes were still on Sehun before he glanced at me, tilting his head in acknowledgement.
I looked up at Sehun to see him eyeing Yoongi almost uncomfortably.
“So, what are you guys working on now?” I asked quickly. “We could show you!” Jimin said quickly, looking at Hobi. “Hyung, the beat is perfect, Suga made this for our practice, remember? We could show her.” He said. Sehun rolled his eyes once as Hobi nodded, putting down his drink and nodding to me. “Tell me if you like it, it’s still a fledgling,” he said and Sehun dropped a kiss on my head before leaving with the two, staying on the fringe of the crowd so I could watch…and leaving me alone with Min Yoongi.
Doona must have called the others over because as soon as Hoseok, Jimin and Sehun’s overly complicated dance finished, there was another round of introduction.
Our separate group soon mingled into one as it turned around Jungkook and Sebastian were interested in dancing too and Baekhyun and Sehun started talking about their acting stuff which I just did not even try to follow. I spied Taehyung and Yoongi talking in one corner and quickly looked away.
“Is it me, or did the guys just ditch us?” Ara asked as Yerin downed her shot. “We’ll make them pay later,” She said. “Oh please, we all know you’re going to leave with Jungkook.” I said. “What’s got you in a twist? You’re leaving with your own hot man.” Yerin said. “To be honest, you all are lucky; Jungkook and Sehun have got to be the hottest guy in this damn club.”
“Hmm, I wouldn’t say that. Have you guys seen the boys from the dance class? Even the guy from Taehyung and Y/N’s class, he’s got to be the sexiest man I’ve seen tonight.” There was a pause in which Doona sighed. “If you’re taking Jimin home tonight, I’m going to have to ask to play music.” She said.
Ara raised her glass to Doona before smirking. “I thought you were going home with Taehyung and Baekhyun anyways,” she said slyly. Doona gasped, her cheeks reddening. “Ara, Tae’s our best friend!” she stuttered.
“Yeah, sure, whatever,” she giggled and put her glass down, walking off with Doona following as they both kept their bickering on.
I laughed, turning to Yerin. “I need some fresh hair, want to come with?” I asked. “I don’t think I can move from this oh do comfortable stool with the perfect view of my boyfriend’s hot back. Inhale some extra fresh hair for me.” she said, her eyes fixed over my shoulder. I rolled my eyes, picking up my purse and walking out to the small back balcony and shut the door, taking in a long deep pull of cold night air and giggling into the silence.
“I would ask what’s funny but knowing you, it would be something stupid and I don’t want my brain cells to die.”
My giggle died down into a choke and I whirled about to see Yoongi leaning back against the wall beside the door. His booted foot was up on the wall; his head tilted back, eyes not even looking at me. I had walked straight past him. It took me a minute to regain my composure when I registered what he had said.
“You don’t know anything about me, Yoongi.” I said, crossing my arms.
“You’d think so but you’re pretty much easy to read.” He said.
“Oh, and you are such a mystery, aren’t you, Suga?” I asked.
That got his attention. His eyes settled on me and they weren’t friendly. I sighed, dropping my arms. “Look, we have a truce, remember? I also…heard one of your pieces, it was nice.” I said. His eyebrow rose. “Thanks,” he said coldly before frowning at me.
“Why did you come to me for a drink when your boyfriend’s so nice?” he asked suddenly.
“Excuse me?” I asked.
“That guy; the one whose arm you are walking on so proudly. I know him. He’s one of the promised stars from our college. If you’re dating him, why’d you want to get with another guy?” he asked. “I know for a fact that even if you are just using him, you aren’t dumb enough to jeopardize that.”
He probably didn’t want to sound harsh but he did. He sounded curious yes, but all I could see was the ass who had indirectly called me a slut.
“Look, like I said, you don’t know anything about me or about Sehun. I suggest you forget that night as a drunken mistake on my part. Of course, because complimenting someone’s hair is trying to get them to buy you a drink in your life, I am hoping you will just dismiss it as a useless waste of ten minutes of your oh so precious life and stop making me feel bad.” I said in one breath and he stared at me.
Without another word, I reached past him for the door handle and pulled the door open, walking back into the warmth of the club, slamming the door shut and stopped when I saw the person in front of me.
Yerin was staring at me coldly, her lips curled into a scowl, her arms folded. I knew this pose. She meant business. Behind her I could see Ara and Doona, watching me with surprise as I stared back at them like a deer in headlights.
“You,” Yerin said, her voice cool and controlled, “are coming with me.” She said, nodding at Ara and Doona.
“Yerin, I don’t know what you heard,” I began but she chuckled, pulling out her phone and typing out a text. “Oh, I heard enough. I think Jungkook and the guys can wait tonight, can’t they girls?” She asked and Ara and Doona nodded. Of course, they would.
“Spill,” She said.
“It was nothing! Min Yoongi is an ass who doesn’t deserve a single second of thought. Why would you be so on top of that?” I asked.
“Because you went to him to bait him and he’s being a mean bastard to you ever since, hasn’t he? I heard enough and I am not an idiot. I know two plus two is four, Y/N.” Yerin hissed.
“Why didn’t you tell us?” Ara asked.
“It wasn’t important.” I said.
“Meeting the guy who you baited then got burned by isn’t important?” Doona asked.
“Girls please,” I began to be cut off again by Yerin.
“This is my fault.” She said. “I was the one who pushed that idea onto you.”
“What, no it’s not! Yerin, I didn’t try and bait him. I thought his hair looked cool and went to tell him because I was drunk. He made this whole scenario up and he’s been hanging that over my head ever since.” I finally said.
“He’s blackmailing you? Oh he’s dead.” Yerin growled.
“Yerin, relax. We…have been partnered for a project. We called a truce. Hopefully after the project’s done, we’ll never see each other again.” I said.
“But,”
“Are you sure?” Ara asked, putting a hand on Yerin’s shoulder.
I nodded, still feeling a little unsure. Yoongi hadn’t agreed to the truce verbally. I had no idea if he had even taken the truce up for consideration, much less hold up his part of it but I couldn’t let the girls be upset because of my own stupidity.
“Ok, let’s just go home, Yerin you too. It’s ice cream and chick-flick night.” Doona said.

Murphy’s Law Pilot Chapter
Summary: The bane of my life was The Plot. A constant reminder in my otherwise normal life. But I was cautious, I took precautions and plotted to slide my way through life without ever touching The Plot with a ten foot pole... but of course the one thing that could have gone wrong went wrong at the worst time possible.
When you die, you expect that to be the end.
Realistically speaking, there is no magic or ritual or some fantastical reason to give a person out of the hundreds and thousands of people who wish for another chance that slim (or more like nonsensical) possibility.
God?
Why would any heavenly (or demonic) being bother with an average joe?
A continue button?
Life is not a game so no such thing.
Some cosmic change in the universe?
It’s possible but what are the chances. Way too astronomical to be true.
So when death came to me, I expected to fade and disappear.
But like almost every bad fanfiction that has come to be, I was shoved into a new world with no say or preparation.
Life is wonderful my butt!
I lived once already! Although I died relatively early and did not expect the abrupt end, I did not like how my whole world was torn from me and forced into a completely new one!
New parents, new language, new culture, new everything.
If I wanted a second chance I would have been happy if you rewinded my death and let me relive my old life!
My parents did not have the narrow eyes that I were used to seeing but instead have wide russet brown eyes. They did not have the black ebony hair I was used to admiring, instead they had a soft brown chocolate that were pleasing to the eye. My surroundings were not the conifer trees but instead the first time I looked out the window of my home, I was greeted by pink sakura flowers fluttering in the wind.
I was not in the United States anymore, instead I was in the country of the rising sun given the words babbled to me from my overeager father.
My whole world had completely changed and at the time I was drowning in loss on a level I never experienced before.
But the world never waits for the sake of one person, so life moved on. I dealt with the trauma and change the best that I could.
Which meant a lot of screeching to get the pain out until I calmed down.
My parents must have been so confused about me. One day I was screaming my lungs out, the next I was a little angel. I’m pretty sure they brought me to the doctor several times too.
Often times, I mentally apologized to my new parents. I’m pretty sure they wanted a normal kid, not a traumatized young adult stuck in the body of a babe.
Thankfully my parents were laidback and air-headed, my odd behavior went under their radar pretty easily and I was in the clear.
But I still felt guilty, after all it is very possible that through some accident I replaced the who should have been their actual child. So I tried my best to be a good child for them. I was an obedient child and listened to their words and never really caused them trouble as I was growing up.
Toddler me was dealt with life as well as she could.
But then life decided to kick me to the curb again.
I remember the day clearly, since it basically smashed all preconceptions of my new life in front of my eyes.
Three years old and sitting in front of the television that was playing the news with words that I still could not fully understand, I recall squishing my plush rabbit as I tried to understand what was being spoken. I had wondered how long it would take for me to assimilate Japanese until I was fluent.
Then the deafening crash from the kitchen jolted me out of my stupor.
“Mama?!”
I had scrambled to my feet and stumbled over to the kitchen only to see the floor littered with jagged porcelain and my mothers fingers cut and bleeding profusely.
“Ara? Saki if you come closer you will get hurt.” Mom had a serene smile as she clutched her fingers close to her chest. At the time, i’m pretty sure I had thought how air-headed my mother could be to wave off what obviously had to be a painful injury.
“But!”
“No buts! besides this is nothing.”
Mom had gently admonished but she saw my raised brow and giggled before she held out her hands and to my astonishment the wounds slowly but surely closed up on their own.
Excuse me?!
I think I could be excused for how long it took for me to react, long enough that my father who was on the second floor at the time came over and lifted me into his arms.
“What’s shocked you so much my little blossom?” Dad had a wry grin on his lips and he was watching my face.
“I was showing her my Quirk. I think this is the first time she has ever seen it Dear.”
Quirk?
“That’s because there hasn’t been a need for her to see your Quirk Honey.”
Like Quirk from My Hero Academia…?
“True, minor regeneration isn’t something I can show so easily. But anyway, Dear could you please?”
My Hero Academia as in the Manga from my Before?!
“Of course Honey!”
The porcelain pieces started to float and was lifted gently before displaced into the trash. I vaguely remember Mom giggling as she poked my cheek to snap me out of my shock.
Those tiny displays of the supernatural turned my world upside down for the second time.
Dad then confirmed my suspicions that the world I lived in was the world created from Horikoshi-sensei’s hands. From my Before.
A world where Heroes and Villains existed. I’m living in a Manga. Why?! Did I do something wrong in my previous life?! Is this Karma from something?!
But at the very least I thought I was a little lucky. Mom had a minor regeneration quirk and my dad had a minor telekinesis quirk. Pretty normal for the overall population. Given my parents quirks, I was expected to have a minor quirk.
Which meant that I was free from being pressured into a Heroes life.
I did not want society to tell me to go risk my life for other people when I had no guts to speak off. And I would have been happy with being absolutely normal in a world of the extraordinary.
But I said earlier right?
Life decided to kick me to the curb?
Come my fourth birthday, and I did not show any signs of a quirk. I didn’t manifest any esper like ability, and when I injured myself, my bruises healed at a normal rate.
As expected, my parent might have been air headed but even they began to worry. So they took me to the hospital to get me checked over.
I learned two things that day in the hospital.
I did not have the double joint, so the doctors assumed that I had an invisible quirk or a dormant quirk.
An invisible quirk was as its name implies, a passive quirk that is constantly active but is so minor that it basically doesn’t seem to be visible.
On the other hand a dormant quirk meant I had to have some specific activation method to get my quirk to work. So the doctors put me through the wringer with tests and physical activities, anything to get a possible quirk to start up.
The tests came out negative, and the doctors assumed that I had an invisible quirk instead. So my parents assured that nothing was wrong with me brought me back home.
The end? Of course not. Things never go that smoothly.
Returning to kindergarten with no quirk to show off quickly made me the class pariah. The kids assumed if I could not show a quirk meant I was quirkiness and suddenly I was not ‘good enough’ to the everyone. I had literally done nothing and suddenly I was isolated and bullied.
Wow kids were brutal.
The Manga did not elaborate on how bad this quirk obsessed society could be to the quirkless. I was often treated in two extremes, either bullied for being ‘useless’ or treated with the kid gloves for being too ‘fragile’.
In a sense, I admired Midoriya. To take years of hateful words and society pushing him down and still dream to become a hero. That took determination and guts.
Something I did not have in spades.
So while life wasn’t bad, it wasn’t great either. The stigma of the ‘quirklessness’ wasn’t something I could run away from that easily.
Luckily, I didn’t respond to taunts and was thus a ‘boring’ target to bullies, soon enough I was left alone and no one really bothered me.
In the first place I was an introvert even from Before. So dealing with people tired me out and this arrangement where people left me well alone suited me well enough. Though my parents worried that I did not have any friends, since I was pretty content they left it be.
If anything, the idea of me being ‘quirkless’ gave me an out in this society.
No ‘Quirk’ meant no responsibility or pressure to be a hero. All I had to do was get away from the fights and I was good.
In a sense, I was lucky to be reborn in this world. This was the one world where I could live a semi-decent life without trouble. If I had been reborn in Naruto or One Piece…
Looking at things from that window, I could appreciate that things were not horrible or bad. As expected, I dealt with it well enough. Life moved on and I adapted to this strange new world.
Then the Life decided to throw me a wall again in my third year of middle school.
Ten months before my High School exams, the iconic event appeared on the news.
The Bakugo being taken hostage by the sludge villain event.
I had been drinking milk in the morning and I had grabbed the television remote to see if anything unusual was on. Despite my deliberate actions to avoid Heroes and Villains when I was out and about, I still enjoyed watching the fights from the safety of home on the television where nothing could touch me.
Lol and behold, the first thing I saw was a blonde kid being strangled in sludge and a green haired boy rush out from the crowd to save him.
I spat out my milk like a classic anime character.
I knew that I was in the era of All Might. I saw him on the news often enough, but I had hoped that I was a decade or so before the Plot. The further away from the plot, the safer I would be after all.
But Life like to use me as its favorite stress ball and thew me this curve ball.
WHY! ALL I ASKED WAS NOT BE INVOLVED WITH THE PLOT WHATSOEVER AND LIFE THROWS ME THIS!
So I was given the revelation that I was the same age as the Protagonist and his Rival. Wonderful. Great.
I promptly refused any hero school as part of my High School selection and choose an average High school that was nearby my home and put more effort in avoiding anything to do with Heroes and Villains.
Cowardly? Perhaps. But I was not prepared mentally or physically to face any sort of danger and deal with the consequences.
People’s lives were at stake, this was no time to play Hero and become a Mary Sue and save the day. One wrong step and the whole thing could fall flat and I would be to blame.
So I refused to be involved and destroy the carefully scripted events that is Fate and started High school in an average non-hero school that has no relation to U.A. at all.
I still kept up with events though. I watched the news obsessively and saw USJ go down and the Sports Festival as well.
When I saw Class A on the news for the sports festival all I could think was how young they were.
And it really sunk in.
These are kids. Sixteen year old kids that is about to be thrown to the gauntlet. They don’t deserve any of that.
Frankly speaking that revelation made my stomach hurt. I wanted to close the television and huddle underneath the sheets but my hands wouldn’t move.
I took in the sight, of Shinsou’s slouched posture straightening as he took his first step to his dream. Uraraka, her body littered with bruises, burning determination in her gaze as she took her stand against Bakugo. Midoriya, as he broke finger after finger to save Todoroki.
Honestly, watching the Sports festival left me shaking and my mom cooked my favorite Udon that night in consideration.
I was in the Manga, a fictional story that existed from Before. In the same timeline as the kids who would shoulder the future of Japan. Watching the Sports Festival drove that fact in and I wanted to throw up.
But Life does not wait for one person and the world moves on.
Keeping up to date with the news became an even bigger priority than ever before. I saw the headlines when the Hero Killer was arrested and the white lie where Endeavor arrested Stain. I also saw the supposed viral video shown in the anime. I saw the blurry figures of Endeavor, Gran Torino and the three U.A. kids and other heroes.
Time was ticking and I was ever so aware of All Might’s retirement was coming soon.
Soon enough, summer was upon me and along side the heat waves were the anticipation of the beginning of the end.
It was at this time, where Life decided to stop giving me the illusion that I had a choice and decided to throw me head first into chaos.
On the night where I was doing an errand for my parents, walking down the busy street with one of my hands glued to my cell phone. I opened the news app and saw the iconic conference being aired and froze.
Murphy’s Law: When things can go wrong, it will go wrong.
There was no warning before everything exploded.
Fuck! No I don’t wANT TO DIE AGA-
…
…
…
When a pebble is dropped, it needs not to take any action. Just being dropped into the water will cause ripples to roll.
Soooooo, I have essentially been drowning in LIFE and all that it entails but I found a really old story on my computer. The pilot chapter of it anyway, I never posted it anywhere though so it has just lied there. SO! I decided to post it on Tumblr and see what people think about it.
To tide over my never ending exhaustion in RL
Tell me what you guys think bout this? Should I remake this?
