Breaking News: 2019 - No election’ll hold in South East – Pro-Biafra groups
A coalition of pro-Biafra groups has warned political parties and their candidates against holding rallies in the former Eastern region prelude to 2019 polls, insisting there will be no election in the area.
The groups, Biafra Defence Council (BDC), All Youths For Biafra (AYB), among others said in the place of any election in 2019, what the region wants is the restoration of the Biafra Republic, which they said would liberate the people of the East from the oppressive tendencies of the Nigerian government.
The groups lamented that the Federal Government under President Muhammadu Buhari has failed to protect lives and property of Biafrans and urged the President to free Biafrans from oppression.
Speaking in Aba, Abia State, spokesmen for the groups, Sunny Okeh and Chidi Otah, said: “Politicians from the former Eastern region should not be deceived any longer, there will be no election anywhere in Biafra land in 2019.
“We are issuing this warning to our politicians, saying what should be paramount to them should be the restoration of Biafra. Election is not the solution to the problem of Biafra. We have been electing people to political offices, but, this has only brought untold suffering and hunger to the people.
“We are using this medium to warn political parties and aspirants to stop any form of campaign in Biafra land. We want to re-emphasise that there will be no election in Biafra land in 2019.The international community has been informed and Biafrans sensitised. No force can challenge out resolve. It is our determination to restore Biafra where her people will have greater freedom and accommodation.”
The groups added that they have mapped out strategies to ensure that no electoral activity is held in all the territories of the Eastern region.

APC crisis: Oshiomhole meets Kalu, Uzodinma, others
Romanus Ugwu, Abuja In its determination to checkmate further escalation of the crisis rocking the All Progressives Congress (APC), the party’s National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole, yesterday held series of closed door meetings with some party chieftains from the South East geo-political zone. Notable among the persons that met with him were former governor of Abia State, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu, Senator representing Orlu Senatorial Zone, Imo State, Hope Uzodinma, embattled Deputy Governor of Imo State, Prince Eze Madumere and Senator representing Ebonyi South, Sunny Ogbuorji. Although the meeting lasted several hours, both parties could not speak to newsmen. Asked to speak about the meeting, former Abia State governor just quipped that the meeting was private. The Imo State deputy governor is currently facing impeachment crisis over his political difference with the Governor Rochas Okorocha. The party had invalidated the Imo State Executive loyal to the deputy governor and conducted another congresses, which produced a new executive loyal to the state governor. He equally met with Senator Abu Ibrahim, Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami and other party chieftains. Oshiomhole, had in continuation of the consultations, last weekend met with the governors of Jigawa State, Abubakar Badaru, Kebbi State, Atiku Bagudu, Zamfara State, Abdullazizi Yari and the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami. The APC national chairman was speculated to have met with the former governor of Kano State, Senator Rabiu Kwakwanso and the National Chairman of Reformed All Progressives Congress (R-APC),  Buba Galadima last weekend. READ ALSO: 2019: No election’ll hold in South East, pro-Biafra groups vow The National Publicity Secretary of the party, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi had in a statement issued last Sunday said the party would continue to woo its members not to leave. “What President Muhammadu Buhari and Adams Oshiomhole, the national chairman of our party are doing, persuading every aggrieved member not to leave the party, is what responsible and sensible party leaders would do. Party politics is a game of number. “And that game is addition. If the PDP had the same presence of mind in 2015, perhaps the calamity that befell them would have been averted.” The post APC crisis: Oshiomhole meets Kalu, Uzodinma, others appeared first on – The Sun News.

Election’ll hold in Anambra, MASSOB tells IPOB
@nigeriannation.com @NigerianNation.com Chukwudi Akasike The Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra has said the governorship election slated for November 18 in Anambra State must hold. MASSOB stated that contrary to the statement credited to the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, that the election would not hold in the state, the people of Anambra should be prepared to exercise their voting rights on that day. The National Director of Information of MASSOB, Sunday Okereafor, who spoke in a telephone interview with SUNDAY PUNCH on Saturday, said it was wrong for anybody to say election would not hold in the state. Okereafor explained that MASSOB would storm Awka, the Anambra State capital, on September 13, 2017 to celebrate the 18th anniversary of the movement, adding that the group was planning to establish a Biafra radio station in Germany.
