,Main Nijaam Se Naina I Stole A Glance From Nizam!
POET AMIR KHUSRO
Saajan preet lagaai ke
Piya door des mat ja
Baso hamaari naagari
Ham maange tu kha
Khusro nadiya prem ki
So ulti va ki dhaar
Jo nikla so to doob gaya
Aur jo dooba so hua paar
Ghar-naari ganvaari chaahe so kahe
Main Nijaam se naina laga aayi re
Ve Bulleya chal otthe chaliye
Jitthe rehende saare anne
Na koi saaddi zaat pehchaane
Na koi saannu manne
Main Nijaam se naina, manmohan se naina
Main Nijaam se naina laga aayi re
Ghar-naari ganvaari chaahe so kahe
Ek sooratiya ki do hain mooratiya
Ek Raam aur ek Rahim
Bhool bhi jaaiye kahin
Saari izaafaton ki baat
Vaham-e-dui bhi kufr hai
Ek vajood, ek zaat
Sohni soorat mohni moorat va ki
Main to hirday beech sama aayi re
Ghar-naari ganvaari…
Khusro Nijaam ke bal bal jaiye
Va ke bal bal jaiye
Main to anmol cheri bik aayi re
Ghar-naari ganvaari…
Note by scholar Homayra Ziad:
1. Nijam: Nizamuddin Auliya (died, 1325), Ameer Khusro’s beloved spiritual guide, was known as Mahbub-e-Ilahi – the Beloved of God. Under his influence, the Chishti Sufi order spread throughout the sub-continent. Khusro died soon after his shaykh in 1325 and is buried next to him in the Nizamuddin dargah in Delhi. Khusro writes this poem in the voice of a young woman, returning giddy after a meeting with her lover. Looking straight into the eyes of one’s shaykh is the greatest honour, a transfer of blessings (barkat).

Sufi Delhi: Biking Through Mystical Shrines
Delhi is a city famous for its deeply spiritual core, magnificent architecture, and rich cultural past. The mystical tour of Delhi's Sufi shrines is a frequently missed but deep experience set among the city's imposing monuments and busy streets. Not only are these shrines, also known as dargahs, hallowed sites of worship, but they also radiate a profound sense of calmness, spirituality, and eternity. And what better way to discover these holy places than by bike, which enables you to take in the colorful streets of the city and the spiritual mood it exudes?
You may easily travel the older streets of Delhi with delhi bike rental  to visit temple after shrine and see the city's mystical side at your own speed. Bike freedom mixed with the spiritual essence of these places creates an experience that will never be forgot. Come with me on this amazing biking tour of some of the most important Sufi shrines in Delhi.
1. Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya Dargah: The Heart of Sufi Spirituality
The trip starts in the Dargah of Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya, one of the most famous Sufi shrines in India. This shrine, which is devoted to the revered Sufi saint Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya, whose teachings on love, humanity, and devotion still inspire millions of people today, is situated in the center of Delhi.
You'll be entering a place where time seems to slow down as you bike towards Nizamuddin. The sounds of qawwali music, the smell of incense, and the sight of devotees doing prayers fill the streets that lead to the dargah. Once you enter the religious space of Sufi spirituality, lock your bike outside the shrine. You will be thrust into a calm realm right away by the sacred tomb, the qawwalis' melodies, and the peaceful ambiance. If you choose bike rental in delhi your religious journey will be meomerable.
2. Dargah of Khwaja Qutbuddin Bakhtiyar Kaki: The Forgotten Gem
Bike from Hazrat Nizamuddin to the Dargah of Khwaja Qutbuddin Bakhtiyar Kaki, which is hidden away in the Mehrauli neighborhood's ancient area. This shrine, a lesser-known but very significant spiritual location, is devoted to one of the first Sufi saints in Delhi.
There's a distinct blend of old and new Delhi on the route to Mehrauli. After touring around the contemporary cityscape, you'll eventually reach this serene and much overlooked dargah. The dargah is more charming because it is calmer than Nizamuddin. You are welcome to sit in quiet contemplation and take in the place's spiritual aura. The rich history of the Sufi tradition in India is reflected in the building, which features elaborate carvings and tombstones. The shrine of Khwaja Bakhtiyar Kaki is a must-visit on your Sufi bike tour since it offers a peaceful contrast to the lively of Delhi.
3. Jamaat Khana Masjid: An Architectural Delight
Proceed on your spiritual bike ride and make your way to the historic Feroz Shah Kotla complex, where you will find Jamaat Khana Masjid. Although it is not as popular as the earlier dargahs, this mosque is an important component of Delhi's Sufi history. A visit to the Jamaat Khana Masjid will help you gain a better knowledge of the Sufi culture that was once prevalent in the nation's capital. It is linked to the spiritual and artistic achievements of the Delhi Sultanate.
Riding a bike through Delhi's narrow streets will bring you to this historic mosque, which is now a peaceful spot of worship. The mosque's domes and arches, which recall its illustrious past, make it an architectural marvel. During your bike ride, the surrounding environment is a calm haven, providing an excellent opportunity for reflection.
4. Chirag Delhi Dargah: The Flame of Spirituality
The Dargah of Hazrat Nasiruddin Mahmud, sometimes referred to as Chirag-e-Delhi, is the next place on the list. This shrine, which lies in the more calm area of Chirag Delhi, is the last resting place of one of Hazrat Nizamuddin's greatest students. The word "Chirag" means "light," and in fact, this shrine is a citywide light of divine direction.
A wonderful bike ride through some of the city's more residential regions, away from the busy business areas, is provided by the route to Chirag Delhi. When you get there, the peaceful ambiance of the shrine is ideal for reflection. The old trees that surround the shrine and the background talking of birds create a calming atmosphere for your stay, these all things happen when you choose bike rental in delhi.
5. Dargah Matka Pir: The Legend of the Clay Pot
Near Pragati Maidan, at the Dargah of Matka Pir, is where your Sufi riding tour of Delhi comes to an end. One of the unique traditions of this shrine dedicated to Baba Sheikh Abu Bakr Tusi is the offering of clay pots, called matkas, filled with sweets and water as offerings. Riding your bike to Matka Pir, which takes you past some of the city's most modern roadways, you can witness the contrast between Delhi's modern and historic aspects. The dargah is known for the story of Baba Sheikh giving away clay pots filled with water to those in need; devotees continue to send matkas in remembering of this event, which grants desires.
Matka Pir is a fitting way to end your spiritual journey, even if it is not as famous as other Sufi shrines. The lovely atmosphere of this shrine, along with the stories of its miracles and acts of compassion, make it a really unique place to visit. This spiritual journey can be reached quickly with the availability of Delhi bike rental choices.
Conclusion: The Mystical Ride of a Lifetime
Riding a bike through Delhi's Sufi shrines is an experience that goes beyond just physical travel and develops a spiritual bond with the city. Every location provides a different window into Delhi's mysterious history, from the pleasing evenings at Hazrat Nizamuddin's Dargah to the lonely calm of Khwaja Bakhtiyar Kaki's shrine. You may simply explore the city and see these undiscovered spiritual treasures at your own relaxation with the ease of a bike rental in Delhi. This bike trip is an ideal opportunity to see Delhi's rich Sufi history, whether you're drawn to the peaceful atmosphere of the shrines or the gloomy qawwalis. The next time you're in Delhi, think about forgoing the busy tourist attractions in favor of this meditative journey into the mysterious side of the city

Rockstar: A Soulful Journey Through Music
Released in 2011, Rockstar follows the emotional and artistic journey of Janardhan "Jordan" Jakhar (Ranbir Kapoor), a young musician whose ascent to fame is fueled by heartbreak, loss, and a deep, burning passion for music. Directed by Imtiaz Ali, the film beautifully explores Jordan’s transformation from an innocent dreamer to a tortured rock star. Alongside Jordan is Heer Kaul (Nargis Fakhri), his muse and love interest, whose fleeting presence ignites a profound emotional and artistic evolution within him.
Tumblr media
At Ruh Radio, broadcasting on 1440 AM, we are deeply connected with the music of Rockstar, as it perfectly encapsulates the struggles, passions, and aspirations of Jordan’s journey. Composed by the legendary A.R. Rahman, the soundtrack is a masterclass in musical storytelling, each track amplifying Jordan's emotional and artistic growth. Here, we explore these iconic songs, each one a testament to his transformative journey.
Kun Faya Kun
"Kun Faya Kun" is a deeply spiritual track, performed by A.R. Rahman, Javed Ali, and Mohit Chauhan. Set against the backdrop of the Hazrat Nizamuddin Dargah, this song symbolizes Jordan’s surrender to a higher power and his quest for self-realization. The phrase "Kun Faya Kun," meaning "Be, and it is," is a moment of spiritual awakening for Jordan, marking the beginning of his journey toward true artistic freedom. For our listeners at Ruh Radio, this track remains a favorite, offering peace and connection with the divine through its soothing melody and powerful message.
Jo Bhi Main
"Jo Bhi Main" reflects Jordan’s inner turmoil, as he grapples with his identity and the price of fame. Sung by Mohit Chauhan, this introspective track delves deep into Jordan's confusion as he struggles to reconcile his true self with the public image he must uphold. The haunting lyrics by Irshad Kamil speak to anyone who has ever felt misunderstood or alienated. We often hear our listeners connect with this poignant anthem, making it a timeless favorite for those who struggle with finding their true voice in a world full of expectations.
Phir Se Ud Chala
A song about freedom and the pursuit of dreams, "Phir Se Ud Chala" is an expression of Jordan’s desire to break free from societal constraints and follow his musical path. Sung by Mohit Chauhan, this track combines elements of folk and rock, creating a soundscape that mirrors Jordan’s restless, wanderlust-filled spirit. For the our audience, "Phir Se Ud Chala" is a song that inspires hope and the courage to chase one’s dreams, regardless of the obstacles in the way.
Sadda Haq
"Sadda Haq" is an electrifying anthem that captures the raw intensity of Jordan’s inner rebellion. Sung by Mohit Chauhan, this song channels Jordan's frustration with societal norms and his refusal to conform to expectations. The powerful guitar riffs and intense lyrics create an undeniable sense of defiance, making "Sadda Haq" an empowering anthem for listeners who refuse to be boxed in by conventionality. This song has become a rallying cry for independence and freedom.
Tum Ho
"Tum Ho" is a haunting love ballad that beautifully captures the bond between Jordan and Heer. Sung by Mohit Chauhan and Suzanne D’Mello, this song expresses the tenderness and tragedy of their love story. The simplicity of the arrangement enhances the emotional depth, making it one of the most beloved tracks from the film. Tum Ho often resonates with listeners who have experienced the complexities of love and loss, making it a cherished song on our station.
Nadaan Parindey
"Nadaan Parindey," another powerful rock ballad by Mohit Chauhan, speaks to the theme of returning home—both physically and emotionally. The lyrics echo Jordan's realization of the emptiness that comes with fame and his longing for true connection. This song strikes a chord with listeners who seek authenticity and meaning in their own lives, making it one of the most requested tracks that delve deep into the emotional landscape of self-reflection.
Sheher Mein and Hawaa Hawaa
"Sheher Mein" and "Hawaa Hawaa" offer a glimpse into Jordan’s early, carefree days before he becomes entangled in the darker side of fame. While "Sheher Mein" captures his excitement as an emerging artist, "Hawaa Hawaa" highlights his playful, carefree spirit. These songs represent the innocence of youth and the untainted dreams of a young artist before the weight of the world begins to take its toll. At Ruh Radio, we often hear our audience reminisce about their own youthful ambitions, making these tracks a nostalgic favorite for many.
Through the synergy of A.R. Rahman’s compositions, Irshad Kamil’s powerful lyrics, and Mohit Chauhan’s emotive vocals, the soundtrack of Rockstar remains one of the most impactful and soul-stirring albums in Bollywood history. For us at Ruh Radio, this collection of songs is more than just a soundtrack—it is a musical journey that reflects the complexities of life, love, and the pursuit of one’s true calling. Rockstar continues to echo in the hearts of our listeners, connecting deeply with those who have ever loved, dreamed, or struggled to find their true self.
