I completely agree that Abhi would hate Travis a bit because of his knock in that match we won't talk about because it never happened! 🥰 (Can't you tell I'm an India fan? 🤣) And it would start out as cute bantering hate to love. I also feel like while Abhi is in his phase of disliking Travis, he keeps talking to him or about him in Hindi which Trav can't understand 🤣 Like Trav comes down to breakfast and sits next to Abhishek, wishes him a good morning like any friendly person will do. Abhishek responds by rolling his eyes and muttering "aa gayi museebat!" Which translated to English means "Here comes trouble! 😒" When they're appointed the opening pair for SRH, Abhi spends the entire day muttering something like "Pata nahi pichle janam mein konse paap kiye the jo iss janam mein iss aadmi ke saath paala pad gaya." (translation: i don't know what sins I commited in my past life that in this life, I encountered this man. 😒" And he keeps addressing Travis by derogatory Hindi words, like he never calls him by name, he just calls him stuff like "gadha!" (donkey) or "kutta!" (dog) or even some of the more insulting hindi expletives like chutiya (fucker) 😅😅 And when Abhishek realizes that Travis is flirting with him, he calls him "tharki buddha!" (perverted old man, yk because travis is actually around 8 years older than Abhi 😂😂😂)
So eventually, Travis recruits one of his Indian teammates at SRH, maybe Nitish Kumar Rana or Washington Sundar, to help him woo Abhi. NKR and Washy teach him Hindi, and then Trav asks Abhi out in slow, broken Hindi "mein... tumhe... bahut... pasand... karta hoon." (I really like you.) And that's when Abhi finally melts and agrees to go out on a date with him. Although NKR and Washy definitely give Travis bad translations before as a prank, they tell him that the phrase "teri behen ka lavda" translates to "I like you" in Hindi. It actually translates to "your sister's dick" 🤭 Travis ends up with a black eye when he tells that to Abhishek. Pat can't stop cackling.
So finally after they get into an official relationship, Abhi takes Travis out on dates to enjoy Indian street food. He treats him to golgappe, kulfi, samosa, vadapav, ice gola and what not, and he laughs uproariously when some of the items turn out to be too spicy for Travis and leave the Australian coughing like anything 😅🤣
Also, Travis' rant partner would be Patty who's just so DONE listening to how pretty Abhishek's eyes are, or how nice his smile is. Meanwhile Abhishek's rant partner is Shubman Gill, who he's been best mates with since they were 14. Abhi keeps complaining to Shub about how Travis is always flirting with him and how he can't believe the audacity of that bloke. Shub is also DONE because he can see that Abhi is in love with Travis, but his stubborn oblivious idiot of a best friend refuses to see the fact that's staring him in the face.
omg LOVE!!! i don't know if it's the same in hindi but in english 'trouble' is a nickname that can be used affectionately or even flirtatiously. so i can imagine trouble becoming trav's nickname for abhi after someone translates his snide comments for travis
pat would definitely be his rant partner and he would get sick of it so quickly. he'd be pairing them up together at training to try and force them to hurry up and sort their shit out 😭

[ad_1] Bumrah addressing the press conference in Brisbane. (PC: X.com) Jasprit Bumrah, India’s pace spearhead, has come out in strong support of Mohammed Siraj, despite the latter’s fluctuating form during the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Australia. Siraj has been under the scanner for not being able to replicate his heroics from the 2020-21 series, where he played a pivotal role in securing India’s memorable series win Down Under. He has been blowing hot and cold which has put extra pressure on Bumrah to pick regular wickets. During the Perth and Adelaide Test followed by the first innings of the Brisbane Test, Siraj faced challenges in finding the correct length to make the most of the pitch conditions. His struggle was compounded by a hamstring injury scare on Day 2 at the Gabba, which saw him off the field for nearly a session. However, his resilience shone through as he returned to bowl 23.2 overs, securing two wickets. “In this game, I will give him credit. He had a little bit of a niggle, but he still kept on bowling and helped the team. He knew if he went inside and didn’t bowl (again), the team would be under pressure. He has got a great attitude and a fighter’s spirit that the team loves. I personally love that as well,” Bumrah said of Siraj. His comments underscore the value placed on Siraj’s tenacity and commitment to the team, even under physical duress. Despite Bumrah’s stellar performance, taking six wickets in the first innings, the Australian side managed to score a formidable 445. Siraj has also been a talk among cricket fans for his heated verbal battle with Travis Head, in Adelaide. Bumrah highlighted Siraj’s fighting spirit, noting, “He is always up for a fight and gives it his all for the team. That’s the biggest positive for any cricketer. Even when he wasn’t 100 per cent, he kept fighting for the team. That’s a great attitude.” Bumrah also touched on the nature of cricket, where performance metrics like wickets can be misleading. “In terms of wickets, and all, some days, you will bowl well, and wickets might not come. Some days, you will not bowl very well, but the wickets will follow. It’s all money in the bank,” he explained, suggesting a broader perspective on performance and contribution to the team. Bumrah’s supportive words extend beyond Siraj’s individual performance to the broader context of the team’s bowling strategy and the ongoing transition within the squad. With the likes of Akash Deep, Harshit Rana and Prasidh Krishna very young in the Test circuit, Bumrah said: “We don’t, as a team, point fingers at each other. We don’t want to tell each other, ‘You should do this, and you should do that.’ We, as a team, are going through a transition where new players are coming in,” he said, acknowledging the unique challenges of playing cricket in Australia. The workload on Bumrah has been significant, with him leading the attack in the absence of Mohammed Shami. He has bowled 82 overs, the highest in the series so far, while Siraj has bowled 76.1 overs. The support from the spin department has been less than ideal, but contributions from fast-bowling all-rounder Nitish Reddy have been notable. Rain gods saved India’s blushes on Day 3 in Brisbane after the visitors found themselves reeling at 4/51. With more rain predicted on Day 4 and 5, India, if they bat well, can end up drawing the third of the five-Test rubber. While Pandya was taken by Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Rana was bought by Rajasthan Royals but some big names such as Ajinkya Rahane,…

IPL 2021 PBKS vs KKR Player Battle IPL 2023 – PBKS vs KKR Player Battle – Dhawan’s Punjab Kings will play against Nitish Rana’s Kolkata Knight Riders in the fixture of Indian Premier League 2023. Punjab Kings Vs Kolkata Knight Riders rivalry The Indian Premier League (IPL) is one of the most exciting and popular T20 cricket leagues in the world. With a perfect blend of international and domestic players, the IPL brings together the best of the best from around the world to showcase their skills on the field. And among the many rivalries that have emerged in the IPL over the years, the KKR and Punjab rivalry has been one of the most intense and thrilling. The KKR and Punjab rivalry dates back to the very first edition of the IPL in 2008. Both teams have a rich history in the tournament and have always been considered strong contenders for the title. KKR is a two-time champion, having won the IPL in 2012 and 2014, while Punjab has yet to win the trophy but has come close on a few occasions. One of the main reasons behind the intense rivalry between KKR and Punjab is the quality of cricket that both teams play. Both teams have some of the most talented players in the world, and their matches are always closely contested. The rivalry between the two teams has also been fueled by some dramatic and memorable moments on the field. Over the years, the KKR and Punjab rivalry has produced some of the most exciting matches in the IPL. Whether it’s the big-hitting of Chris Gayle or the spin wizardry of Sunil Narine, both teams have always brought their A-game to the field. And with both teams boasting some of the most passionate and loyal fans in the IPL, the rivalry between KKR and Punjab is always a highly anticipated affair. Looking ahead to the upcoming IPL season, both KKR and Punjab will be looking to get the better of each other once again. While KKR will be hoping to add a third trophy to their cabinet, Punjab will be eager to break their trophy drought and finally lift the IPL trophy. With the rivalry between the two teams stronger than ever, fans can expect another thrilling chapter in the KKR and Punjab rivalry in the IPL. In conclusion, the KKR and Punjab rivalry in the IPL has been one of the most intense and exciting rivalries in the history of the tournament. With both teams boasting some of the best players in the world, their matches are always closely contested, and their rivalry has produced some of the most memorable moments in the IPL. As we look ahead to the upcoming season, fans can expect another thrilling chapter in the KKR and Punjab rivalry in the IPL. Here’s a look at the Top Player Battles to watch out for in this IPL clash between PBKS and KKR : KL Rahul vs Pat Cummins IPL 2021 PBKS vs KKR Player Battle – KL Rahul vs Pat Cummins Punjab skipper KL Rahul won the orange cap in the last season. In this season also, he is performing consistently, but then also his team’s aggregate performance is not up to the mark. The only concern with Rahul’s batting, when the team was losing despite him performing well, was his conservative play. Pat Cummins will be challenging him in the match against KKR. Despite his expensive price, Cummins has not been able to prove his performance in bowling yet. He is not getting wickets according to his high status. His bowling is also not as economical as it should be. He is getting smashed for sixes by many players. For us, the winner will be KL Rahul in this player battle. Andre Russell vs Mohammad Shami IPL 2021 PBKS vs KKR Player Battle – Andre Russell vs Mohammad Shami Andre Russell, one of the most destructive hitter in IPL. Everyone is aware of power hitting skills of De Rus. In the match against CSK also, he has announced his arrival by his quick half century. Although, he was not able to win the match for his team, but he definitely have a hard fight. He will be facing the Indian fast bowler, Mohammad Shami, who has the ability to bowl quick. He must be confident of performing well having bowled brilliantly in the last few games. Shami will surely look to test Russell with the short ball. Shami can also try his lethal yorker against the West Indian to catch him off-guard. For us, the winner will be Andre Russell in this player battle. Chris Gayle vs Varun Chakravarthy IPL 2021 PBKS vs KKR Player Battle – Chris Gayle vs Varun Chakravarthy Chris Gayle, the most entertaining and hard hitting batsman in the history of IPL. Gayle holds the record of highest individual score in an IPL innings. However he has aged a little bit more but his dedication to play is still at its peak. He is not showing any signs of slowing down. KKR will definitely use spinner Varun Chakravarthy to create some troubles for the PBKS batsman. Varun has the ability to take wickets with his slow and spin bowling and has tricked many big batsmen with his bowling. He can hold Gayle at a low score. For us, the winner will be Varun Chakravarthy in this player battle. Shubman Gill vs Arshdeep Singh IPL 2021 PBKS vs KKR Player Battle -Shubman Gill vs Arshdeep Singh It is clearly visible that Shubman Gill is struggling to score runs for KKR. One of the reasons behind the poor performance of KKR is failure of its opening pair and especially that of Gill. He has not scored a single good knock in IPL 2021 till now. He will be challenged by Arshdeep Singh in the match against PBKS. Shubman Gill and Arshdeep Singh were both part of Indian team for U-19 World Cup. Unlike Gill, the medium pacer has a good season up till now. He is bowling well and KL Rahul is also putting trust on him. It will be a worthy watching clash if they will face each other in the match. For us, the winner will be Arshdeep Singh in this player battle. The Most Wickets In IPL History
The 18th edition of India's largest cricketing event, the Indian Premier League (IPL), is scheduled to take place in 2025. Particularly in the bowling section, the rivalry has reached new heights as ten teams aim to win the coveted crown. Even though hitters frequently take center stage, bowlers in the game's shortest format still treasure the Purple Cap, which is given to the player who takes the most wickets in the tournament. Due to the IPL 2025 mega auction, the franchisees will be under more pressure for the next season. All eleven teams will try to restructure their rosters by adding new players and keeping some of their old players. One lingering uncertainty is the Impact Player rule, which caused debate in past seasons. Given how it can impact bowling plans, a number of teams and players have expressed worries about its possible continuation.
The Sought-After Purple Caps and Its Seekers
Even though there were a lot of runs made throughout the 2024 season and new batting records were established every other day, teams know that bowlers are frequently the ones who assist them in winning games. Despite carrying a hefty price tag, pacers Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins, who were the most expensive players in the last auction, generously returned the favor to their respective franchises. Promising bowlers like Mayank Yadav, Harshit Rana, and Vaibhav Arora rose to the top of the IPL 2024 rankings and might be serious candidates for the Purple Cap in the IPL 2025 schedule. They will, however, have fierce opposition from well-known players, such as Harshal Patel, the Purple Cap winner from the previous season, who took an outstanding 24 wickets. Besides, there will be more elite players competing in the Purple Cap race in 2025, making it more competitive.
Bowlers - A Necessary Asset For IPL Teams
The importance of bowlers in the IPL cannot be understated. Although each side has a strong batting order, the bowlers frequently tip the scales. Some teams in the IPL have struggled in the league due to a lack of bowling skills. However, the league's top teams, like the Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), and Mumbai Indians (MI), have established their dominance thanks to their pool of excellent bowlers. Even the Gujarat Titans (GT), the IPL's 2022 debutants, used their bowling arsenal to win a significant number of games. This suggests that in order for teams to succeed in the lucrative competition, bowlers are essential.
Yuzvendra Chahal - The Best of The Best
While we are on the subject of successful bowlers in IPL, how can we forget about the phenomenal Yuzvendra Chahal who is currently the highest wicket-taker in the history of IPL. With 205 wickets in 160 games, Yuzvendra Chahal holds the record for most wickets in IPL ever. He achieved this position after dismissing Nitish Rana, the captain of the Kolkata Knight Riders, in the 56th match of IPL 2023 between the Rajasthan Royals (RR) and KKR. The leg-spinner, who played for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) from 2014 to 2021, took 139 wickets at an economy rate of 7.58 in 113 games. He played for RR in 2022 and took 27 wickets in 17 games, earning him the Purple Cap. When the wrist spinner held onto a return catch from MI's Mohammad Nabi in the 2024 Indian Premier League, he broke the 200-wicket milestone.

[ad_1] Starc celebrating his splendid bowling performance. Pic credits ( Debasis Sen) Day 1 of the second Test between Australia and India at the Adelaide Oval had a dream start for the hosts. Mitchell Starc struck with the very first delivery, removing the in-form Yashasvi Jaiswal. The early setback put India on the back foot, leaving KL Rahul to steady the ship, along with incoming batter Shubman Gill, in a bid to rebuild in tough conditions. Rahul, who initially appeared uneasy at the crease, gradually found his rhythm as his innings unfolded. Meanwhile, Gill looked composed from the outset, confidently playing each delivery on its merit as the duo worked to steady the ship. Scott Boland, however, kept the pressure on with his disciplined line and length, consistently testing the batters. Rahul had a couple of fortunate escapes early on — once when Boland overstepped, negating a dismissal, and again when a catch was put down, giving the Indian opener a much-needed reprieve. Just as Gill and Rahul appeared to be building a promising partnership, Starc delivered a game-changing blow. A delivery with just enough movement surprised Rahul, leading to his dismissal. True to the adage that one wicket often brings two, the left-arm quick struck again, removing Virat Kohli with a sharp delivery that resulted in a straightforward catch to Steve Smith at slip. To compound India’s woes, Boland joined the party by dismissing a well-set Gill, leaving the India reeling with the loss of three quick wickets just before the dinner break. India’s struggles continued immediately after the break as well, with Boland sending Rohit Sharma packing, leaving the visitors in deep trouble at 87/5. Rishabh Pant and Nitish Kumar Reddy provided some respite, stitching together a brief partnership to push India past the 100-run mark. However, Pat Cummins struck with a sharp bouncer, dismissing Pant as the ball rose unexpectedly and caught the southpaw off guard. Ravichandran Ashwin joined with Reddy to add vital runs, steadying the innings temporarily. Ashwin, looking assured at the crease, fell victim to a brilliant delivery from Starc, trapped leg-before. Harshit Rana didn’t last long either, as Starc cleaned him up, reducing India to 146/8. Reddy then shifted gears, showcasing an array of aggressive strokes to briefly put the pressure back on Australia. His counter-attack provided some much-needed momentum, but his attempt to slog Starc proved costly, resulting in his dismissal. India managed to reach a total of 180, courtesy of Reddy’s late resistance, but the Aussies remained firmly in control. The Australians adopted a measured approach with the bat despite losing the early wicket of Usman Khawaja. The latter fell to a moment of brilliance from Jasprit Bumrah, leaving Australia in an uneasy situation. Marnus Labuschagne, entrusted with the responsibility of steadying the innings, displayed admirable composure, ending the day unbeaten on 20. Partnering him was Nathan McSweeney, who played a crucial role in anchoring the innings. His gritty knock of 38 not out, under challenging conditions, was a testament to his resilience and skill. At stumps on Day 1, Australia were in a strong position, trailing by just 94 runs with nine wickets in hand. 5@5 | IND vs AUS: Australia takes the reigns on Day 1 | Champions Trophy decision taken https://t.co/jkDgZ18vSV — RevSportz Global (@RevSportzGlobal) December 6, 2024 For more sports content: RevSportz The post Australia seize control on Day 1 appeared first on Sports News Portal | Latest Sports Articles | Revsports.
