Before the concert started, suddenly “I don’t want it to start”

February 24th, the fourth day of「Nogizaka46 7th Birthday Live」, my graduation concert was held in my hometown Osaka. When I think back, the me when I first debuted would cry from even the smallest things, when it would be my time to talk the people around me would suddenly become silent (laugh). It felt like the impression was that Nishino Nanase would cry no matter where. And because of that, I definitely did not want to leave behind that impression on my last stage. To be honest, as we were getting closer for the concert to start, I was still in my usual mood of enjoying concerts. The moment the 「Overture」music played though, the emotion of “I don’t want it to start!” just flooded over me......Once it starts, it also means the end is coming. The reality of “I will never perform at a concert again as a member of Nogizaka46” hit me after the concert had ended. During the concert, I did cry a little from seeing the members’ tears, but since I promised myself that I wouldn’t bawl, there must still have been a lot of tears stored up in my body. When this sad, sentimental mood continues for a long time, I just really want to cry from random things....... After the concert I spent time with my parents and grandma in Osaka, but I kept holding it in because I didn’t want everybody to see my tears. And so when I returned to Tokyo, my tear ducts finally relaxed. While watching the entertainer in「Wednesday's Downtown」let loose his prank insects, I had a really good cry. And then during the filming of 「Lion no Goo Touch」, while I watching the volleyball game VTR of the kids who worked hard for two months to be able to go onto the winner’s podium, I surprised myself when I couldn’t stop crying. Looking at their postures as they were wearing the same uniform at the end to compete together, I guess I was unconsciously reminding myself of the last time I would be on stage as Nogizaka46.

Hope that I will become more mature this year

The second day after the graduation concert ended, I opened an Instagram account. Just like my blog where I had always communicated my own thoughts, I wanted a place where I would tell everyone about my happenings, so I decided to try out this popular app Instagram (laugh). The very first post, I conveyed my gratitude for everything up to now, but deciding what to post after that just became kind of confusing......After worrying about it for a long time, I decided on posting the image on the control room screen from after the concert rehearsal had ended. Other posts have included a photo of sculptures I had discovered in Shanghai, basically just things that I myself thought were interesting. Right now I follow the members who had graduated from the group, obligated to follow my official show accounts......and mixed martial artist Mirko Cro Cop! I grew up supporting him since I was influenced by my father’s interest in mixed martial arts. I was shocked when I saw Mirko’s announcement about retirement, and at the same time I also found out he has an Instagram account. Because it was in the Croatian language, I couldn’t find it even after searching for so long, but because I really cared I kept searching, until finally I successfully found the account!

I’ll be turning 25 on May 25th. This will be my first birthday after graduating from Nogizaka46. After the graduation concert ended and I was on the 「Gout Temps Nouveau 2」filming set, all the MCs said that I seem more mature. Even though I couldn’t tell at all, I was extremely happy to hear that. Until now, most of the time I’m mistaken to be younger than my actual age, so this coming year I hope to hear more compliments like this.

I'll do the same and list my 5 fav members from each gen. 1st Gen: 1) Higuchi Hina 2) Nishino Nanase 3) Eto Misa 4) Takayama Kazumi 5) Shiraishi Mai. 2nd Gen: 1) Yamazaki Rena 2) Ito Junna 3) Kitano Hinako 4) Hori Miona 5) Sasaki Kotoko. 3rd Gen: 1) Iwamoto Renka 2) Ozono Momoko 3) Ito Riria 4) Mukai Hazuki 5) Yoda Yuki. But when it's all said and done, Hinachima is my kami-oshi.

Yep, Waka-sama is my fav! I love how flexible she is, playing ikemen roles to playing more “girly” roles. The latest episode with all the Michael Jackson references was hilarious. 

Hinachima is also on my list of faves, shes so cute! I also loved all the Nogichuu eps where they reference her father, lol. Mai, Misa, Kazumin and Naachan are also on my list of favs. 

I actually don’t know much about Renachi, I guess she didn’t leave much of an impression on me... but, I’ll keep an eye out for her! I actually forgot that I quite like Junna, but her valentines episode with Asuka was hilarious. 

Renka is really cute too! I guess that I’m kinda uncomfortable that she’s so young, but shes so sweet, kinda like a younger sister. Mukai is really funny lol, I feel bad that she is the but of all those jokes, and Matsumura calling her uncute...

She hosted a special episode of AKB48's All Night Nippon1 which is is a late night radio show hosted on Wednesdays, from 1AM to 3AM. Naachan had a special appearance to promote her first photobook, Fudangi2. Here's how she started out the show.

Since joining Nogizaka three years ago, I've rarely, or rather this is probably the first time, that I've been in a show where I'm the only one doing the talking. So I'm really nervous right now. This is going to be two hours long, so I'll be giving it my best... Um, I'm not very good at talking, so I'd be happy if the listeners would... warmly look over me. *nervous giggle* I'm Nishino Nanase from Nogizaka46. Please treat me kindly.

What should I do~? I'm super nervous right now! Being able to experience this nervousness is something that I should be thank- *voice starts wavering* thankful for. Ah! What should I do? I really feel like crying right now... Who's the #1 Female Idol of the Heisei Era?

  As the Heisei Era draws to a close this month, we can expect to see lots of lists and polls totaling up the years' "bests." Most recently, fans in Japan were polled for their pick for best female idol of the era.

  Docomo held the poll and tallied up the results, noting the exiting era as a "female idol boom" with the beginning of AKB48, Morning Musume, and other such groups. In fact, only one of the Top Ten wasn't in a larger group. Did your favorite make the list?

    In third place is Maki Goto, who began her music career as the sole Third Generation member of Morning Musume. Goto went on indefinite hiatus from her successful music career in 2012, making her first television appearance since in 2018.

    Coming in second is Mai Shiraishi, a first-generation member of Nogizaka46. Shiraishi remains a member to this day, and in the first half of 2018 had a record number of commercial appearances.

    And the fan's pick for top female idol of the Heisei Era is Atsuko Maeda! The AKB48 graduate, known as "The Face of AKB48," left to pursue her own career in 2012 and has since become an actress and solo artist.

Judul yang sedikit memancing? Tidak juga. Karena memang bagiku, Nogi memang tidak akan memiliki sosok sebaik Double Suns. If ever. Posisi mereka memang bisa dibilang tidak tergantikan, hampir mencapai level Kami-7 original AKB. Tapi, sebelum membahas lebih jauh, apa dan siapa itu Double Suns?

Bagi mereka yang sudah lama mengikuti blog ini mungkin sudah tahu, dan bagi yang belum, maka aku akan menyinggungnya sedikit lagi. Double Suns adalah sebutanku untuk dua member on top Nogi; Shiraishi Mai dan Nishino Nanase. Kenapa mereka menjadi dua member teratas Nogi? Karena ini fakta.

Dua member ini adalah pilar Nogi, meski tidak dari awal debut. Keduanya mencapai posisi ini dengan cara yang berbeda, tidak semata berdasarkan push dari manajemen. Tidak semata, dengan kata lain mereka mendapat massive push, tapi tidak berakhir…..well to say it the least, mengecewakan.

Nah, kenapa mereka kuanalogikan sebagai Double Suns, matahari kembar di langit Nogizaka? Jawabannya mudah saja, posisi mereka unik, menjadi representatif Nogi untuk berbagai appearances, juga menanggung beban yang sama dan dipandang sebagai panutan.

Namun meski kukatakan mereka adalah Double Suns, tapi mereka berbeda. Dalam bahasa sains, bisa disebut binary star system. Terdengar familiar? Aku pernah menulis tentang hal ini dalam artikel tentang Gen 3. Aku memilih Betelgeuse untuk Maiyan, dan Antares untuk Naachan. Keduanya sangat berbeda.

Betelgeuse, bintang paling terang kesembilan dari Bumi, terletak di bahu konstelasi Orion. Red hypergiant ini akan sebesar orbit Jupiter jika ada di solar system kita. Sebagai bintang kelas red hypergiant paling terang, sekaligus salah satu bintang terbesar di angkasa, peran besar Betelgeuse dalam sejarah umat manusia tidak bisa diindahkan.

Sama seperti Betelgeuse, Maiyan adalah member yang tidak pernah turun dari kasta atas sejak berdirinya Nogi. Dia memang tidak dijadikan front member langsung, ingat Nogidoko episode awal? Tidak butuh waktu lama baginya untuk menjadi wajah Nogi karena nilai visual yang tinggi.

Jelas karena visual-lah manajemen berani memberi Maiyan massive push. Bahkan menjadi pilihan paling aman saat Ikoma akhirnya lengser keprabon. Does it works? Dalam beberapa aspek iya. Sejak Girl’s Rule, peran Maiyan sebagai it girl Nogizaka tidak tergantikan.

Modelling menjadi forte utama, dan perlahan Maiyan berhasil meneruskan tongkat Nogi yang naik turun saat itu, bahkan saat center-center berikutnya datang Maiyan masih bertanggung jawab untuk Nogi bersama dengan Class of 92 lain, juga member-member Gen 1.

Antares di jantung konstelasi Scorpius

Antares atau Alpha Scorpii yang ada di konstelasi Scorpius. Tidak menonjol, tidak begitu tenar, tapi perannya besar. Sebagai jantung Scorpius, Antares menjadi salah satu bintang paling terang di belahan bumi selatan, maka perannya dalam navigasi terbilang besar.

Saat itulah Naachan muncul ke spotlight. Berbeda dengan Maiyan yang menjadi populer karena visual dan manajemen yang mencari solusi aman, Naachan adalah fandom darling turn out to be management darling. Well, aslinya Naachan sendiri hanyalah 3rd row di awal Nogi, tapi berkat innocent charm yang dimilikinya dia terbilang menonjol.

Aku bisa bilang Naachan adalah epitomi dari image Nogi, sesuatu yang membuatnya ada di level berbeda. Modest, girl next door image ditambah puncak popularitasnya tidak bisa datang lebih baik. Kidzuitara Kataomoi menjadi lagu yang benar-benar langsung menonjolkan image Nogi setelah struggle dengan konsep di awal-awal.

Setelah Naachan datang, image yang dikejar Nogi menjadi lebih jelas. Tipikal idol yang lebih sederhana. Hal ini sudah terlihat dari keengganan LLC menggunakan bikini, tapi setelah Kidzuitara, melebar ke konteks yang lebih lebar. Image Nogi menjadi konservatif, ditambah lagu-lagu mereka yang lebih pop ketimbang idol.

Mereka berdua lah yang mengubah wajah Nogi pasca Ikomasentris selesai dan digantikan oleh masuknya Nogi ke dalam big game di dunia Idol. Keputusan yang berbuah baik, mengingat dualisme mereka, meskipun tidak tampak langsung, membuat Nogi semakin populer.

Apalagi setelah WCenter pertama dalam sejarah Nogi akhirnya membuat status mereka sebagai Double Suns permanen. Maiyan dengan image yang glamor, it girl yang merambah pasar yang lebih luas melalui modelling dan Naachan, girl next door yang mewakili image Nogi secara keseluruhan, menyatu menjadi tidak tergantikan.

Memang jalan keduanya dalam menuju puncak berbeda, tapi jujur saja, jika skenario ini misalkan terjadi di grup lain, bisakah sesukses ini? Di 48G mungkin? Jujur saja aku tidak berpikir demikian. Memang sebagai contoh paling mudah kita bisa melihat Mayuyu dan Sasshi, but it comes with so much destruction.

Menariknya, dalam mitologi Yunani seperti yang digunakan untuk penamaan bintang, Scorpius dan Orion adalah musuh. Orion si pemburu hebat menyombongkan diri pada Artemis bahwa dia akan memburu semua binatang di bumi. Mendengar hal ini Gaia, dewi Bumi mengirim Scorpius untuk membunuh Orion.

Keduanya bertarung sampai mati, dan hal ini menarik perhatian Zeus yang membuat Scorpius menjadi konstelasi di langit. Artemis, bagaimanapun, memohon agar Orion juga naik ke langit, Zeus menurutinya. Menariknya lagi, tempat mereka di langit berseberangan dengan Scorpius tampak memburu Orion, baik di belahan bumi utara maupun selatan.

Hal ini cocok dengan deskripsi Maiyan sebagai Betelgeuse, dimana dia muncul lebih dulu seperti dalam mitologi. Dan baik Maiyan ataupun Orion sama-sama terkesan high profile. Naachan sebagai Antares muncul belakangan, tapi memberi Maiyan “perlawanan” yang hebat. Battle diantaranya, untungnya, brings a greater good untuk Nogizaka.

Nah, setelah dualisme antara Maiyan-Naachan yang unshakeable selama ini, apakah mungkin, The Third Sun bisa terbit di khatulistiwa Nogi? Aku tidak akan ragu untuk mengatakan iya, meski dalam prakteknya akan butuh waktu yang lama. Mungkin akan sangat lama.

Selain hal-hal positif diatas, tentu selalu ada flipside. Sinar Double Suns yang terang relatif tidak bisa membuat member lain menembus ke jajaran elit. Class of 92 mengalaminya, padahal sejak awal merekalah yang digadang-gadang menjadi wajah Nogi, tapi sampai akhir tidak bisa mencapai taraf yang diharapkan.

Selain mereka, masih banyak contoh lain. Ikoma yang semakin tenggelam di belakang, lalu Ikuchan, yang -this is worth one article but I’ll summarize- memang sejak awal tidak ditujukan menjadi Heliosentris Nogi. Gradually, Ikuchan menjadi Jupiter, paling besar di dunia yang berbeda, bukan menjadi Double Suns. Ikuchan lebih ditujukan untuk pasar yang berbeda.

Sekarang ini bisa dilihat dari outside jobs Ikuchan yang bisa dikatakan lebih prestisius dan high profile. Ikuchan memang ujung tombak, untuk menjangkau pasar yang selama ini relatif untouchable untuk idol. Jadi, menempatkan Ikuchan sebagai Third Sun tidak akan cocok, apalagi Ikuchan sendiri relatif sudah lebih lepas dari bayang-bayang Nogi.

Lalu ada kombi yang digadang menjadi WCenter berikutnya; AshuMiona. Hal ini dimulai sejak musim panas 2016, tapi sayang kelanjutan cerita mereka masih stagnan. Masuk akal membuat dua member ini menjadi Double Suns, apalagi jika mengingat keduanya punya kemampuan yang cukup, meski belum sebaik NanaMai.

Ashurin kembali di-push sebagai center di single terbaru, sementara Miona masuk ke jajaran M-Series. Modal yang cukup bagus untuk tahun depan. Sementara itu, dari generasi baru, masuknya MomoYoda sebagai center memang mengejutkan, apalagi di 19th single ini kita masih harus menunggu kejelasan tentang status Gen 3.

Apakah MomoYoda layak disebut sebagai penantang kuat untuk menjadi Double Suns? Aku tidak akan mengatakan iya. Jalan mereka masih terlalu sedikit untuk itu. Apalagi Gen 3 mendapat push yang jauh lebih massive, yang mana ini bukan selera semua fans Sakamichi.

Bagaimana dengan member lain? Sejujurnya, aku tidak atau setidaknya belum melihat siapapun selain nama-nama yang kusebut untuk menggantikan NanaMai apabila mereka grad. Kedudukan mereka yang terlalu kuat rasanya tidak akan pernah tergantikan. Meski yah, regenerasi adalah wajib.

Aku lebih melihatnya sebagai begini: mungkin Double Suns tidak akan tergantikan. Ever. Ingat, komparasi semacam inilah yang menghancurkan 48G. Tapi memiliki member lain untuk mengisi posisi mereka akan lebih bijak jika digantikan oleh Fukujin selama masa transisi, at least mereka punya pengalaman untuk itu. Setidaknya, aku ingin melihat jeda waktu jika seseorang disebut sebagai penerus Double Suns.

Dan bagiku yang terpenting adalah bukan mencari pengganti Double Suns, tapi menemukan konstelasi lain yang sama terangnya dengan mereka. That’s a different things.

There was another photoshoot with the combi Yuunanase! We did an outfit mix-and-match segment aimed at college students, I did my first cooking segment, and they’re being serialised! It’s been one year since I became a non-no model I’m still got a lot of growth to do I plan to work hard to make it so that many people are looking forward ✨ to every month’s release! Ada yang bilang tidak ada standar kecantikan yang baku di dunia ini. Aku setuju, karena beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Contoh paling mudah saja, berapa banyak idol yang disebut memiliki kecantikan luar biasa, dari “idola sekali seribu tahun” sampai “idola sekali 4000 tahun”, kenapa begitu banyak idola “langka” yang bermunculan? Jawabannya mudah; standar kecantikan itu universal.

Akan sulit menemukan banyak orang sepakat bahwa seseorang memiliki kriteria ideal face yang sama. Selalu ada kompromi dalam hal ini. Nah, untuk itu, post kali ini aku tidak berharap akan ada komentar-komentar yang selalu setuju. List untuk member Nogizaka tercantik memang belum pernah aku tulis selama ini, tapi aku pernah menulisnya di blog lain.

Tahun lalu aku menulis tentang list ini untuk Keyaki, tapi itu sebelum H.Keyaki datang, mungkin nanti aku akan mengupdatenya. Kali ini, aku menulis ini berdasarkan apa standar kecantikanku sendiri, versi Nogi. Kurasa sudah lama aku ingin merilis ini, tapi akhirnya baru sekarang kesampaian. Hanya 10 member saja yang kutulis kali ini, banyak artikel lain yang bertabrakan kalau kutulis lengkap, jadi satu-satu dulu.

10. Nishino Nanase

Faktor Naachan adalah tipikal gadis yang menjadi cinta pertama memainkan peran besar dalam hal ini. Jujur saja, memilih Naachan menjadi #10 sedikit sulit karena setelah hadirnya Gen 3, harus kukatakan Naachan bisa saja tergeser tapi membuatnya keluar dari 10 besar sedikit sulit untukku. Sebelumnya aku pernah mengatakan bahwa kekuatan Naachan adalah charm, bukan visual. And it’s hard to compromise.

9. Ikuta Erika

Ikuchan di #9 karena dia memiliki charm yang mirip-mirip Naachan, hanya saja obyektif, untukku sendiri, dari segi visual Ikuchan sedikit lebih tinggi dari Naachan. Dari segi facial feature, yang paling kuat adalah mata. And you can’t avoid noticing that mole, right?

8. Takayama Kazumi

Pilihan absurd? Tentu banyak yang mengatakan ini, tapi mari lihat fakta. Ya, memang Kaz lebih terkenal sebagai badut grup, tapi harus diakui bahwa untuk urusan visual dia bukan member yang tidak bisa diperhitungkan. Untukku, Kaz termasuk member dengan visual tinggi di Nogi, jika saja dia tidak in charge of comedy, berani taruhan dia akan menjadi kandidat kuat center seperti Double Suns.

7. Inoue Sayuri

Kenapa Sayu ada diurutan ketujuh adalah karena sejak awal mengenal Nogi, aku sudah kaget bagaimana struktur wajah yang kupikir hanya ada di anime ternyata ada di dunia nyata. Babyface, check. Flexibility, check. Ya, Sayu memiliki karakter wajah yang bisa terlihat anggun, macho, atau kawaii hanya dengan permainan make-up dan hairstyle.

6. Saito Asuka

Princess Aurora yang datang dari Dark Side ini memiliki ukuran wajah yang luar biasa kecil, salah satu standar kecantikan di Asia Timur meski tidak harus juga. Ashurin yang half ini masih membawa sedikit traits dari Myanmar, samar terlihat dari nose bridge yang khas Asia Tenggara.

5. Sagara Iori

Iori yang menjadi contoh airdrop gagal ini memang tidak bisa dipungkiri memiliki struktur wajah yang tegas dan berkarakter. Kecantikan khas Jepang, kalau harus kubilang. Hanya saja, Iori terlihat cantik occasional, kadang terlihat begitu gorgeous, tapi juga tidak jarang terlihat meh. Apalagi jika dilihat dari foto harian di blog, Iori termasuk yo-yo, dan itu secara tidak langsung mempengaruhi visualnya.

4. Wakatsuki Yumi

Yep, meski Yumi menjadi member #1 untukku, dari segi visual aku tidak akan semena-mena menempatkannya di urutan pertama. Yumi memiliki keseimbangan facial feature yang mendekati sempurna. Simetris dan ukurannya tepat, eyes, nose, & lips. Well, aku tidak akan berbicara banyak soal mata, coz she’s done it, hanya saja memang bahkan slight adjustment pada bagian ini bisa membuat impresi yang benar-benar berbeda.

3. Shiraisi Mai

Maiyan

Menempatkan Maiyan lebih rendah dari #3 jelas tidak masuk akal. Queen Maiyan, official model, 2 Photobook, perlu bukti apa lagi dari kecantikan Maiyan? Alasan kenapa aku menempatkannya di urutan ketiga simpel saja, she’s so beautiful it hurts. Jujur saja, bagiku kecantikan Maiyan ini seperti melihat karya lukisan, indah tapi sulit untuk dipahami bagaimana Maiyan bisa memiliki visual seperti ini.

2. Matsumura Sayuri

Bias aside, Sayuringo masuk dalam kriteria ideal face untukku. Tipe wajah yang tidak membosankan untuk dipandang, kurasa faktor pipi yang terlihat begitu tembem apalagi jika dia tertawa. Yang paling menarik tentu crescent-shaped eye smile ketua SG ini saat dia tersenyum, dan perlu ditambahkan bagaimana giginya terlihat. Yah, untuk singkatnya, ingat episode Nogibingo yang membahas ini kan?

1. Eto Misa

Mungkin ada yang bertanya-tanya kenapa selama setahun kemarin aku selalu menempatkan Misa sebagai kandidat center? Atau kenapa aku memilihnya sebagai Venus dalam Planetarium 46? Alasan pertama adalah karena dia memang layak, yang kedua dia adalah Aphrodite dalam daftarku. Well, aku tidak memilih Misa asal saja. Dari segi facial feature, Misa paling mendekati karakteristik ideal face untukku.

Aku tidak mendapat kesan ini dari pertama, tapi growing on me seiring waktu. Misa tidak termasuk member yang kuperhatikan di awal, tapi semakin kesini aku melihat Misa extraordinary dalam buku penilaianku dari segi visual. Jadi, aku tidak ingin subyektif atau apa, tapi Misa memang member tercantik Nogi dalam versiku secara obyektif.

Itu dia 10 besar member Nogi tercantik versiku. Versi obyektif tanpa bias. Well, hanya sedikit bias, tapi tidak banyak, jika banyak maka Yumi akan ada di #1. Tidak adanya Gen 3 karena alasan yang sudah kuungkapkan di awal karena materinya cukup bertabrakan dengan artikel lain. Untuk sekarang, selamat menikmati sajian berbuka 😀
