Kyary Pamyu Pamyu Concludes 10th Anniversary Tour with Spectacular Performance at Budokan

On October 19, Kyary Pamyu Pamyu celebrated her 10th anniversary as an artist in the best way possible–by holding her first Nippon Budokan concert in six years. The conclusion of her national tour, the show was mysteriously titled ‘UMA 105.’

Kyary’s special performance was also streamed to a worldwide audience via Zaiko Connect, with the video available to stream through January 2023. The stage itself reflected Kyary’s unique style, with a UFO sporting disco ball legs on the ceiling, a brightly-lit pyramid with eyes in the center, and mushrooms and octopus legs dotting the sides of the stage.

Yu Yu Hakusho Green Tea Collaboration Launches With Iyemon Tokucha

Suntory Beverage & Food launched a collaboration with its own Iyemon Tokucha green tea and the popular TV anime series Yu Yu Hakusho on June 15, 2020.

Collaboration Breakdown

The characters of Yu Yu Hakusho can be called “Health Professionals” as they enjoy a balanced diet, get plenty of exercise, and enjoy adequate sleep—and that goes for their roster of energetic seniors, like Kurama, who’s said to be more than 1,000 years old, and Raizen, who is over 1,500. For the green tea collaboration, the aim is to help support a “life of 100 years” for people by lending them strength and support from the characters of Yu Yu Hakusho who live a life of longevity.

Maybelline Releases Collaboration Video Featuring Singer and Actor Ryo Nishikido

American cosmetics company Maybelline New York has released a special video for the new NYC x TYO collection, featuring brand ambassador Ryo Nishikido.

Since 2020, Ryo Nishikido has been a brand ambassador for Maybelline New York Japan. Continuing to promote the company, this diverse new collection asks customers to express themselves through eye makeup.

The video is set in a fictional city inspired by New York, with its excitement and sophistication, and Tokyo, with its incredible modernity. The central model is Tina Koyama, who also works as a TV personality and DJ. The project was directed by YUANN, a filmmaker from creative team kidzfrmnowhere, who is active both in Japan and abroad.

Hello, I am writing to you because there will be a lot of new Given merch available at the end of this month since the last episode airs next week. Noitama cafe and the Animate store in Japan will have a wide variety of items available for purchase and I don't think any other online store will have it. I'm sure that I am no the only person living overseea who would be interested in purchasing some Given merch. Let me know if you are planning procuring any of it, would be absolutely amazing!

KANA-BOON Announce New Single Massara

The band recently announced the new single Massara (“Brand New”), which is currently used as the opening theme song for the anime Sarazanmai. The single is set to be released on June 12th.

The single will also feature a up-tempo B-side track called FLYERS, which will be used as the theme song for the mobile game Kick-Flight as well as a limited edition with live footage from their latest tour.

Furthermore, actress and model Yukino Kishii returns to work with the band once again. She previously cooperated with KANA-BOON in the music videos of Naimono Nedari, 1.2. step to you and Ikite Yuku and is on the cover of the upcoming single together with Maguro.

Maguro’s comment on the new single: “It’s been 5 years since our debut. Since then, we have come to perform at some crazy events and have released many songs. We are now adding a new song to the repertoire. It’s the theme song for the anime series Sarazanmai. The theme of the lyrics is ‘connections’ as the [anime’s] story is rooted in that. You and I, me and you, the world and myself, the stage and the floor, a person I have never seen before and one I have.
