Swiss swayed, and swayed, and swayed. Words fell from his lips, soothing the cub perched in his arms; face pressed into his neck, puffing soft breaths against it.

'Cause it's nine in the afternoon

And your eyes are the size of the moon

We're feeling so good just the way that we do

Swiss pressed his nose to her hair, breathing in her scent as he hummed the song. The scent of happy cub tickled his senses, endorphins flowing through his body. The newly formed scar on his hand would be dealt with eventually, years from now. For now, Little Ghoul would remain the same sweet cub cradled to his chest, sleeping to the beat of his heart.

Gently, he set her upon her nest, pulling the blanket up around her. Caressing her soft hair and round cheek, words once again flowing quietly from his lips.
