We count down with you mam. We are proud to support this cause for the Nigerian women in coastal communities. . . @Regranned from @unyimeivyking - We are counting down. If the excitement of the women and even the baales(High Chief) of the communities that we have reached out to is anything to go by, this is going to be an impactful one. #Repost @sowgfoundation ・・・ Amb. (Mrs.). Unyime-Ivy King is a is a woman of many parts- an author, Character Mentor, humanitarian worker, publisher, and an advocate for a return to Positive family values using the social media platform actively to express her passion. Awarded a UN Eminent Ambassador of Peace under the auspices of the Intl Association of World Peace Advocates (IAWPA) in 2014, and appointed International Director, Gender Education/Advocacy by the same organisation, the Nigerian Army School of Public Relations and Information (NASPRI) also made her one of its 3 ambassadors. Her Foundation, The Save Our Women and Girls Foundation (SOW&G), a not-for-profit organisation, which was incorporated formally in late 2016 and is focused on creating social developmental awareness on issues that concern women and girls. Its focus is on training, mentoring, educating and building the capacity of women and girls in Nigeria and also raising funds to support credible NGOS that are into gender advocacy. Through the activities of the Foundation, several small scale business initiatives have been birthed. With her current initiative, Trash2Wealth, a community based project aimed at raising ‘wastepreneurs’ among women in the target communities, which is supported by FABE International Foundation, an NGO that is concerned with environmental sustainability issues, she hopes that the level of public awareness on practices that are inimical to the environment, which could result in long term health problems, asides the economic empowerment opportunities it would provide for community women, would be increased; as we know, health is wealth. #thrash2wealth #wastepreneurs #waste2wealth #wastenotwasted #saferworld @unyimeivyking @alvinator @ubongking @iniabims @aidymika @f4kidsafrica @tegaebaah @mzokunnu
