In the hockey AU what’s Percy and nicos relationship? Like friends, older brother?

Definitely like a siblings thing going on there. I think Snowy was just slightly too old (he's 33) to see Nico as a younger sibling instead of just "a kid", while Percy, who's only 25 and has a baby sister at home, immediately swooped in as the annoying older brother. ESPECIALLY because I think he tacked onto Nico's whole "scared and alone" thing and decided that he was going to make Nico feel at home on the team whatever way he could - AKA, immediately being a pest and treating him like they've been friends for years.

(I also think it could've been partially influenced by Jack, who got news about the Falcs drafting Nico di Angelo and knew just how delicate his situation was going to be. I bet Jack nudged Percy to be friendlier to him than Percy initially would've been on his own, and then from there the rest of it happened organically.)

It was definitely weird at first, but Nico's gotten used to it. I think Nico also had the briefest panic of "oh god what the fuck do I have a crush on him?" that took him like, two weeks to get over.

The age thing 100% freaks Nico out if he thinks about it for too long - the fact that almost all of his friends are so much older than him makes him feel Strange. Yet another reason he's so fucking glad to have Jason in his life :D
