All Details About the 2020 Hyundai i20 Sound System
The Hyundai i20 for sale was the brand's next big launch in the South African market, after the Kona and the Venue. The company has confirmed that the launch timeline for the updated hatchback is on track.
According to reports from Financial Express, the 2020 i20 features a premium sound system.
The eight-speaker setup includes Super65 units that will be installed on the front doors of the updated hatchback for an enhanced audio experience. Similar audio hardware was seen fitted to luxury brands such as Mercedes-Benz and Audi adding to the premium factor.
The premium sound system could very well be a best-in-class feature along with some of the others that are featured on the i20. It comes with two 10.25-inch displays for the instrument cluster, and the touch-screen infotainment system, respectively.
The touch-screen infotainment system supports Android Auto, Apple Carplay and the brand's latest iteration of Bluelink connected technology. The updated software provides a host of additional features to the driver with a new layout and colour scheme on the screen.
The recently launched Verna facelift and the new-gen Creta features 45 and 50 ‘connected' commands, respectively. In comparison, the Hyundai Venue and the Elantra will feature only 33 and 34 commands, respectively. The i20 gets the same connected car features as the Venue.
Some of the other interior features on the new-gen hatchback include dual-zone climate control with rear air-con vents, ambient lighting, electric sunroof, a flat-bottom steering wheel with mounted controls, cruise control, multiple airbags, ABS with EBD and more.
This i20 is its third iteration and features a host of design changes to the exteriors of the hatchback. This includes an all-new front facia with cascading grille and restyled headlamps which are much sleeker as compared to the older ones.
At the rear, the new split-tail lamps are connected by a light bar running across the length of the boot lid. It also comes equipped with a newly designed dual-tone alloy wheel that gives the hatchback an aggressive look.
By now you should be able to find a used Hyundai i20 for sale on Group 1 Hyundai’s website and score a 2020 i20 at a very sexy price...

New Mahindra Scorpio Launching in 2021
THE NEW-GEN MAHINDRA SCORPIO IS SCHEDULED TO BE LAUNCHED IN THE Q2, 2021, WHILE THE NEW XUV500 WILL ARRIVE IN Q1.
Homegrown UV maker, Mahindra is gearing up for the launch of the next-gen Thar lifestyle SUV, which has already been spotted multiple times during its test rounds. The company is also testing the TUV300 facelift, next-gen Scorpio and the next XUV500. Adding to it, Mahindra will launch 2 new electric SUVs – eKUV100 and e-XUV300. The launch of the e-KUV100 has been delayed due to coronavirus pandemic; however, the e-XUV300 will launch as per plans.
It is also confirmed that the new-gen Mahindra Scorpio and the next XUV500 will be launched in the first half of 2021. The company will first launch the new XUV500 in the first quarter of 2021, which will be followed by the new Scorpio in the Q2, 2021. The homegrown automaker, Mahindra is also working on the next-gen Bolero SUV which is likely to arrive in 2022.
Mahindra is also working on an all-new mid-sized SUV, rumoured to be called the XUV400. The new SUV will be positioned against the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Nissan Kicks and the Kia Seltos. It will be offered in 5- and 7-seat options. The new model will be jointly developed by Mahindra-Ford partnership and is expected to be launched in 2022.
The new-gen Mahindra Scorpio will be designed and developed on the modified version of the ZEN3 platform, which also underpins the new-gen Thar. The new Scorpio will continue to offer the rugged styling and 4×4 drivetrain as optional. The new Scorpio will grow in size and will offer a front-facing third row of seats in higher variants. Previous reports claim that the SUV could receive Heads-up display, which we have already seen on the Kia Seltos.
The new Mahindra Scorpio price will include a newly developed 2.0L or 2.2L 4-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine producing close to 160bhp of power. The SUV will also receive a new 2.0-litre mStallion turbocharged petrol engine, which is capable of producing 190bhp of power and 380Nm of torque. However, the diesel XUV500 will be significantly more powerful than the new Scorpio.
The next-gen Mahindra XUV500 will be based on the new monocoque front-wheel-drive platform, which will also underpin the new Ford C-SUV. The new model will take on the likes of the Tata Gravitas and the MG Hector Plus. The next-gen XUV500 will also receive several segment-leading features and the new diesel engine with power close to 180bhp.

Next-gen Honda HR-V world premiere pushed to May 2021. Next-gen Honda HR-V will be revealed in May 2021 New model will be larger, with a length of around 4.4m HR-V will continue to sit below the CR-V in Honda's global line-up While the Indian market is set to receive the new Honda City, the company has delayed the market introductions of a few models abroad, including the next-gen HR-V, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As reported by us earlier, the all-new HR-V which was slated to be unveiled early next year, will now only be introduced in May 2021. This new model is crucial for Honda globally, as it will be the brand's contender in the competitive midsize SUV segment. What else is known about the next-gen Honda HR-V? While not much is known about new HR-V, we can confirm the midsize SUV will share its underpinnings with the latest-gen Jazz, and it will also get multiple engine options including a 1.0-litre turbo petrol as well as an option with mild-hybrid tech. As before, the HR-V will sit below the CR-V in Honda's global line-up, but it will see an increase in size, measuring close to 4.4m in length. This will allow Honda to introduce a smaller SUV lower down the range. This new SUV was expected to be unveiled later this year, according to this website, but given the current scenario, there could be a delay. What will the next-gen HR-V rival globally? A number of midsize SUVs will be rivals to the new Honda HR-V, depending on the market, and these include the Jeep Renegade, the updated Nissan Kicks, and the upcoming Toyota Corolla Cross. Will the new HR-V come to India? The outgoing Honda HR-V was slated to come to our shores but the plan was cancelled. The model had a high level of import content which meant Honda India would have found itself in a disadvantageous position when it came to pricing amid the aggressively positioned, new competition from the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos. What does Honda's India line-up for 2020 look like? The new City, Honda's biggest launch for 2020, will see a price announcement in the coming weeks. Honda is also expected to introduce the BS6-compliant, mildly updated versions of the Jazz and WR-V soon. https://www.instagram.com/p/CBvi2eBnOYT/?igshid=1rjqaydkis38d

Sunday drive with Hormazd Sorabjee: A look at the Hyundai Creta - brunch columns
https://liveindiatimes.com/sunday-drive-with-hormazd-sorabjee-a-look-at-the-hyundai-creta-brunch-columns/
Our way of life has changed suddenly and dramatically. Order has been savagely disrupted by the Covid-19 pandemic and the last few months have seen a string of unimaginable ‘firsts.’ Who would have thought that in April not a single car would be sold? That’s a first the industry would like to forget but will always remember. And for the first time in recent memory, there’s a car at the top of the sales charts that’s not a Maruti. The Hyundai Creta emerged as the best-selling car in May 2020 in a major reshuffle of the top order. The truth is that with so much uncertainty, the Creta’s achievement is a bit of a fluke, but its climb to the top of the ladder isn’t entirely without merit.
Since it was first launched in 2015, the Creta has been the top dog in the SUV segment and it’s a success story that prompted almost every other manufacturer to come out with a rival. That the Creta could fend off competition for most of its lifecycle is a tribute to the fundamental concept of this well-conceived SUV. It’s not too big and not too small, it comes with a wide range of engines, gearboxes, and it packs in all the features you could possibly want. In fact, for most Indian families, this all the SUV you want. However, the Creta has been under attack from the Kia Seltos. Hyundai’s sister brand (and biggest rival) merely took the Creta template and refined it to a different level. But in the game of leap frog manufacturers play by replacing a model every five to six years, Hyundai is ready to hit back with the all-new, next-gen Creta. So can it win back the SUV crown?
The interiors have Bose audio system and the 10.25-inch screen, which sits flush with the dashboard looks great
Designs on you
The job is a lot tougher this time. It’s up against some strong rivals now, which means it has to stand out from the pack even more. And stand out it does but not necessarily in the best way. The new Creta looks radically different and may not be to everyone’s tastes.
But if you can get past the quirky styling, what you’ll find is an exceptionally well-packaged SUV that has everything thrown into it. Hyundai is taking no chances and doesn’t want to fall short on any front. The exterior is richly detailed with 17-inch diamond cut alloys, LED lights, and lots of chrome garnishing.
The interiors have everything from cooled seats to wireless phone charging, an air purifier, a tremendous-sounding Bose audio system, a massive panoramic sunroof and a lot more.
The 10.25-inch screen, which sits flush with the dashboard looks great and is packed with all the features you need and even some you don’t. Like remotely starting the car via an app on your phone.
Hyundai has focused a bit more on the rear seat this time. There’s a bit more legroom than in the previous car, but width is significantly greater, so a third passenger would be more comfortable.
Cruise away
You can choose from five engine and gearbox combinations and it’s the top-of-the-line 140hp 1.4 turbo-petrol mated to a twin-clutch or DCT gearbox that I’m driving. Hyundai hasn’t quite mastered DCT tech the way Volkswagen has and at slow speeds, there’s a hint of jerkiness and the gearshifts are not as seamless as I would have liked.
The new Creta looks radically different and may not be to everyone’s tastes
However, it’s smoother than the Seltos (which uses the same gearbox) and further trumps its Korean counterpart by offering paddle shifters – a first in class. The engine is pretty refined and the turbo dishes out enough grunt to make driving a real pleasure. The Creta is quick, a good cruiser and enjoyable to drive, especially in ‘Sport’ mode. The suspension is on the softer side, which is good for comfort, but it makes the 1.2 tonne Cretafeel roly-poly through corners.
What Hyundai has cleverly done is play to the Creta’s strengths of practicality, comfort and class-leading equipment, but the clincher is the aggressive pricing ( Rs 16-17 lakh).
