“NewNowNext Awards 2010” Premiering Thursday, June 17, 2010 at 10/9c
LOS ANGELES, CA June 9, 2010 – Logo’s third annual “NewNowNext Awards” made its mark for the first time in Los Angeles last night with high caliber celebrities and breakthrough stars-in-the-making, proving Logo is at the forefront of pop culture. Co-hosted by Niecy Nash and Cheyenne Jackson, the show premieres Thursday, June 17 at 10/9C on Logo. The show featured appearances including Paula Abdul, Mena Suvari, Kylie Minogue, Carmen Electra, Kelly Osbourne, Johnny Weir, DJ Jesus Luz and musical performances by Little Boots, Shontelle, Dan Black and Agnes.
The “NewNowNext Awards 2010” rocked hot spot the Edison in downtown Los Angeles last night. Cheyenne Jackson kicked off the evening with a jazzy crooner parodying award show openings as co-host Nash crashed the stage declaring, “Take it all in, bitches!”
In-house DJ Jesus Luz kept the audience moving to the beats of tomorrow as RuPaul, the world’s most famous drag queen and host of the hit series “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” announced the evening’s first award: the “OMFG Internet Award,” honoring what’s sure to be the next, online viral hit.
The evening’s momentum continued as actress Aisha Tyler introduced the “Most Addictive Reality Star” award followed by actress Carmen Electra introducing Little Boots, the evening’s first musical act. Little Boots proved her talent was far from “little” with her larger-than-life performance of the groundbreaking hits “Remedy” and “New in Town.”
Actor/Comedian Alec Mapa brought the laughs as he landed a giant smooch on Cheyenne Jackson during his introduction of the “Brink of Fame: Comic” award. Up next, actress Candis Cayne revealed the “Best Future Feature,” honoring the most anticipated film blockbuster of the season.
The music performances continued as soulful Shontelle took to the stage for her network television debut with the passionate ballad, “Impossible.” The awards got “friggin’ awesome” as New Jersey’s most infamous pair, Snooki and Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, joined Ross Matthews to introduce the “Cause You’re Hot” award.
A trio of awards was up next as Actress Erin Cummings of the steamy series “Spartacus: Blood and Sand” presented the “Brink of Fame: Actor,” honoring the red carpet darlings of tomorrow. Janice Dickinson served her fiercest runway walk as she introduced the most delicious award of the evening: “Best New Indulgence.”  Nominees ranging from the “splits” from “RuPaul’s Drag Race” to the infamous cast of “Jersey Shore” made this award a morsel of guilty pleasure. Finally, actor Ryan McPartlin and actress Kristin Cavallari presented “Best Show You’re Not Watching” award.
Dan Black’s U.S. television debut of his hit “Symphony” was up next, offering a genre-blurring and melodic performance that proved to be revolutionary.
The “queen of all pop culture media,” Perez Hilton, introduced the penultimate award of the evening, “Always Next, Forever Now Icon” award, to award-winning dancer/choreographer, dynamic performer, multi-platinum recording artist and popular entertainment personality, Paula Abdul. Paula offered the inspirational advice to her gay fans, “There are no losers
just winners who give up a little too soon. Keep it going.”
The evening wrapped with singer Kelly Osbourne and Johnny Weir presenting the final honor: “Brink of Fame: Music Artist” award, followed by an electrifying performance of “Release Me” by songstress Agnes in her network television debut.
The results will be revealed Thursday, June 17, 2010 during the airing of the “NewNowNext Awards” 2010.

LADY GAGA TO RECEIVE “ALWAYS NEXT, FOREVER AWARD” AT LOGO’S FOURTH ANNUAL “NEWNOWNEXT AWARDS” 2011
Logo’s “NewNowNext Awards” 2011 TelecastPremieres Monday, April 11th at 10/9C on Logo
To Tweet This Release: http://logo.to/gxHRZ0 NEW YORK, NY March 28, 2011 – Logo, the entertainment network for gays, lesbians and their families and friends announced today that award-winning, multi-platinum recording artist and provocative, dynamic entertainment personality Lady Gaga will be honored with the “Always Next, Forever Now” Award at the “NewNowNext Awards” 2011. Given annually, this special award pays homage to a beloved pop icon.  Due to her tour schedule, Lady Gaga will accept the award remotely unveiled in front of a live audience at the show’s taping at the Avalon in Hollywood on April 7th.
Past recipients for the “Always Next, Forever Now” Award include Britney Spears, Janet Jackson and Paula Abdul.
Lady Gaga is no “ordinary” pop star, but rather a force of creative energy.  Her groundbreaking live performances, outspoken nature and utter devotion to her art have afforded her a rabid fan base around the globe.
"We knew the moment Lady Gaga made her inaugural television appearance on our first ‘NewNowNext Awards’ back in 2008, she was destined for big things," said Dave Mace, Logo’s Senior Vice President of Original Programming. "In three short years, her ferocious talent and unending activism have earned her ‘icon’ status for millions of ‘little monsters’ and Logo viewers.  All throughout her whirlwind rise, she’s remained a friend to Logo and we’re honored to have her back on the show.  Simply put, she rocks our world."
Gaga came to prominence following the release of her debut studio album The Fame (2008), which included the hits “Just Dance,” “Poker Face,” “Bad Romance” and sold over 15 million copies worldwide. The album earned her six Grammy nominations and two wins as well as a slew of other awards recognition, including a record-setting 13 MTV Video Award Music nominations. Gaga is the first artist in history to claim four #1 hits from a debut album (“Just Dance,” “Love Game,” “Poker Face” and “Paparazzi”).
She is the only artist in the digital era to top the five million sales mark with her first two hits. Gaga broke the record when her single “Poker Face” reached five million in sales after her debut single “Just Dance” accomplished the same feat the year before. She has over one billion combined views of all her videos online. She is also a staple in the social networking world. She is one of the biggest living people on Facebook.com with over 31 million “likes” and is #1 on Twitter with over nine million followers.
Her studio album, “Born This Way,” is scheduled for release on May 23rd, 2011. The first single from the album, the title track “Born This Way,” set a music industry record becoming the fastest single in history to reach sales of one million copies (five days after its February 11th release). Lady Gaga’s third #1 song, the recording debuted at the #1 spot in 14 countries, including the U.S.; only the 19th single to ever debut at #1 on the “Billboard Hot 100” (issue date February 26th). The single has been #1 on “Billboard Hot 100” for six weeks and has hit #1 on “Top 40.”
Gaga is well-recognized for her outrĂ© sense of style as a recording artist, in fashion, in performance and in her music videos. Her contributions to the music industry have garnered her numerous achievements including five Grammy Awards amongst twelve nominations, two Guinness World Records and the estimated sale of 15 million albums and 51 million singles worldwide.Billboard named her both the “2010 Artist of the Year” and the top selling artist of 2010 ranking her as the 73rd artist of the 2000s decade.  Gaga has been included in Time‘s annual “The 2010 Time 100” list of the most influential people in the world as well as Forbes’ list of “The World’s Most Powerful Celebrities” in the world.  Forbes also placed her at number seven on their annual list of the world’s “100 Most Powerful Women.”
Now in its fourth year, the “NewNowNext Awards” gathers icons and stars-on-the-rise to crown the next “big things” in TV, music, film, print and new media long before they hit the mainstream.
Winners will be revealed Monday, April 11th at 10/9C, on Logo’s “NewNowNext Awards” 2011 show.  The 90-minute special will be taped in front of a live audience of today’s hottest emerging and seasoned artists at Hollywood’s Avalon on April 7th.

ROBYN TO HEADLINE LIVE MUSICAL PERFORMANCES ON LOGO’S FOURTH ANNUAL “NEWNOWNEXT AWARDS” 2011
Oh Land and Wynter Gordon Round Out Live Musical Acts
“NewNowNext Awards” 2011 Winners Revealed on TelecastPremiering Monday, April 11th at 10/9C on Logo
To Tweet This Release: http://logo.to/h7b53I
NEW YORK, NY March 7, 2011 – Logo, the entertainment network for gays, lesbians and their families and friends announced today that international pop sensation, Robyn, will headline the “NewNowNext Awards” 2011 live musical performances.  Joining Robyn will be electro-pop act Oh Land and dance-music diva Wynter Gordon.  The “NewNowNext Awards” musical acts showcase on-the-brink performers who will undoubtedly break big in the upcoming months.  Most notably, Lady Gaga made her first televised appearance on the “NewNowNext Awards” before she went on to claim her stake as pop royalty.  The “NewNowNext Awards” gathers icons and stars on the rise to crown the next “big things” in TV, music, film, print and new media long before they hit the mainstream.  Catch Robyn, Oh Land and Wynter Gordon perform on the “NewNowNext Awards” 2011 premiering Monday, April 11th at 10/9C on Logo.
Fresh off her U.S. and European tour and a sold-out performance at Radio City Music Hall in New York City, Swedish recording artist, singer and songwriter Robyn will deliver pop stardom at this year’s awards.  Robyn gained popularity in the late 1990s for her worldwide dance-pop hit “Do You Know (What It Takes)” from her debut album Robyn Is Here (1997).  The popularity of her number one hit-single “With Every Heartbeat,” and subsequent album release Robyn (2005), brought her mainstream success worldwide.  In January 2009, Robyn won a Swedish Grammis award for “Best Live Act 2008.”
Robyn recently released Body Talk Pt. 1, the first installment of her ambitious three-part album release in 2010.  Lead single “Dancing On My Own,” the heartbreaking heir to “With Every Heartbeat,” went top ten in the U.K. accompanied by mass critical praise for the album.  “Dancing on My Own” garnered Robyn a 53rd GRAMMY¼ award nomination for “Best Dance Recording.”  The follow-up album, Body Talk Pt. 2, released on September 6 debuting at number one on the Swedish charts and the final album of the trilogy, Body Talk, released on November 22, 2010 to critical praise from the press including People, US Weekly, Rolling Stone, Spin and Pitchfork.
Oh Land emerged as one of the most talked about new artists for 2011, landing on many critics’ must-listen lists in advance of her self-titled debut album. The 11 song album that will be released by Epic Records on March 15th is a mix of lavish loops and layered vocals that pound through on songs like the album’s first single “Sun of a Gun.” Dan Carey (The Kills, Franz Ferdinand, Hot Chip) and Dave McCracken (Depeche Mode, BeyoncĂ©, AFI) co-created this album with Oh Land full of rich harmonies, beautiful symphonic arrangements to accompany her enchanting voice.  Oh Land made her U.S. television debut on “Late Show with David Letterman” and will perform on “Late Night with Jimmy Kimmel,” “Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson” and “Last Call with Carson Daly.” Oh Land is currently touring with OMD for her first-ever North American tour and will appear at SXSW with over 10 shows planned.
Singer/songwriter Wynter Gordon gives dancefloor divas and music heads alike a new reason to “believe” with her ethereal voice and playful personality.  The single “Dirty Talk” from her forthcoming debut album, With the Music I Die, recently topped Billboard’s “Dance Club Play Songs” chart at number one, while her Freemasons-produced “Believer” climbs steadily on the U.K. charts.  For the past two years, Wynter has traveled the globe collaborating with some of the biggest names in electronic music including David Guetta and Rhythm Masters.  She recently performed at the Winter Music Conference and received two “International Dance Music Awards” nominations.
This year’s NewNowNext winners will be revealed Monday, April 11th at 10/9C, on Logo’s “NewNowNext Awards” 2011 show.  The 90-minute special will be taped in front of a live audience with today’s hottest emerging and seasoned artists at the legendary Avalon in Hollywood, CA on April 7th.  Presenters and special guests will be announced as they are confirmed.
Through its past discoveries, the “NewNowNext Awards” has proven its one step ahead of the hype by calling out some of today’s hottest pop culture phenomenon long before they were on the mainstream radar.  Highlights include Lady Gaga’s first ever televised performance with a sizzling rendition of “Just Dance.”  Hit drama series “True Blood” received the “Best Show You’re Not Watching” award months before its Emmy© nominations. Wendy Williams won “Best New Indulgence” before her daytime talk show “The Wendy Williams Show” went national.
The “NewNowNext Awards” builds on Logo’s acclaimed NewNowNext franchise, which includes LogoTV.com’s pop culture blog NewNowNext.com and two on-air music shows: “NewNowNext PopLab,” the home for party music in all its forms, and “NewNowNext Music,” the ultimate music video destination of today’s hottest artists and emerging musicians.
“NewNowNext Awards” is Executive Produced by Christopher Willey and Dave Mace for Logo.  Michael Dempsey of Dempsey Productions serves as Executive Producer and Director.
