Announcing ClimateGPT: The First Open Source Foundational AI Platform Dedicated To Addressing The Impact Of Climate Change
An open-source collection of AI models called ClimateGPT has been released by the Endowment for Climate Intelligence (ECI) with the goal of tackling the rapidly evolving effects of climate change. In the face of climate uncertainty, ClimateGPT seeks to enable scholars, decision-makers in government, and corporate executives to make knowledgeable choices. ClimateGPT, which is accessible on Hugging Face, is the outcome of more than four years of development, testing, and optimization of more than 100 Large Language Models.
ClimateGPT is intended to boost the shift to a sustainable future and accelerate social intelligence, according to Daniel Erasmus, CEO of Erasmus.AI. The innovation seeks to assist researchers, business executives, and policymakers in making decisions as they confront climate-related issues.
AppTek's Chief Scientist for LLMs, Christian Dugast, emphasized how the model leverages AI techniques to bolster responses with unbiased data derived from documents relevant to the subject matter. For well-summarized responses, the ClimateGPT IFT training set provides both completion and citation procedures.
In order to address global concerns, responsible and sustainable AI solutions are necessary, as highlighted by Ariana Fowler, Head of Research at EQTY Lab. In order to promote action-oriented innovation, ClimateGPT provides enterprise-ready solutions and makes contributions to open-source research.
As a non-profit organization, the Endowment for Climate Intelligence supports access for eligible researchers and makes further expenditures in model development by reinvesting recurring money from any commercial use of the model.
