Today's the day I talk about the White and Black memory from the Memory Link in B2/W2.
Not only is a good insight to the mindset of the Team Plasma members who are still loyal to N after the events of the first games, it's also one of the few moments in the games where the abuse N went through is actually drawn attention to in a situation where N isn't directly present. Most of the time, we're painfully aware of N's situation when it's a conversation between N and Ghetsis but this is an interaction between two random Plasma grunts where they talk about it from their perspective.
Something to note is they still call N "Lord N". They haven't magically changed their mindset. They don't call Ghetsis "Lord Ghetsis" anymore either, he's just Ghetsis now. They still are very much in that culty mindset, they're just wholly aligned with N now, rather than Team Plasma as a whole and as such, he's the only one with a title. Their a bit more moral but their unhealthy reverie towards N remains the same.
Back to my original point, it's one of the few times we see N's situation acknowledged by other characters. Other notable examples are when talking with Anthea and Concordia in the Driftveil Safehouse. While these are very brief moments, both conversations use very evocative words to describe what happened to N. Anthea and Concordia describe N as being "groomed" into a role while the Team Plasma grunts call what happened to N "disgusting." It almost feels a little strange when the characters acknowledge it. We see it happen and we know all about it but it feels much more real when the characters around you mention it and it's brought up so infrequently, it almost feels like you're not supposed to talk about it; it's jarring and uncomfortable when it is.
It also becomes interesting when you take into account how the Neo Team Plasma members feel about N, often referring to him as a traitor and an idiot, which implies they either didn't hear about what N went through or, more likely, they simply don't care; he was Team Plasma's key to victory and to power and it doesn't matter to them what was done to him for that to be his role. There's a reason Neo Team Plasma follows Ghetsis and it's because they align with his views; I wouldn't be surprised if they also viewed N as less than human just like Ghetsis does and as such, don't even view his suffering as suffering to begin with.
#pokemon#n harmonia#team plasma#i think about this memory a lot#it's so short and the discussion isn't even about what n went through#it's about n seeing that the people who still believed in him are doing what they can to still help#so the part where they discuss n and ghetsis' relationship is incredibly short#but it lives rent free in my brain forever#there's also a whole thing to be said here about how manipulative abusers can be#and that lot's of people won't even believe that you've been abused because they trust your abuser#and ghetsis is a very charismatic person to these people and he's obviously#incredibly manipulative so there's like this unintentional allegory about people trusting your abuser#and not believing you#especially when gaslighting is already a huge thing within n and ghetsis' relationship

Hello there, citizens of Rotomblr. It is I, the one and only Ghetsis Harmonia. I was told this was the 'place to be' by some of my friends and I couldn't just stay away after being told that, now could I? I believe the pronouns I use are called he/him. And no, I am not wanted in Unova, whoever says otherwise is lying. Nobody likes a liar. I was also told my kids were on here, now isn't that great! I truly hope they've all become less of a disappointment.
Oh and of course, you can't forget my pokemon. I still have my full team, do not worry! Cofagrigus Bouffalant Seismitoad - Osric Bisharp Eelektross and finally, my beloved Hydreigon. - Lenox
Hello there, Hello there!! Im the mod here for this wonderful blog! This is my second time ever playing a canon character, and I haven't touched B2/W2 in years, so Ghetsis might be a little OOC! I will do my absolute best to keep in line with his canon character. I also have my own mix of head canons for him. PLEASE, if you read nothing else down below, read the trigger warnings. That is a requirement if you ever want to set up an event or character connections. You may feel free to call me Alexander or Alex! I really don't care at this point ^^' I go by he/they, and whatever neos you want just not it/its, please! Mun is 16! Ghetsis may be an old man, but I am not!!

Please discuss anything offscreen with me beforehand before you do anything. THIS IS AN IMPORTANT BOUNDARY.
BOUNDARIES
Mod is 16, Ghetsis is in his early 40s. Suggestive stuff is fine, nsfw is not. Anything that I personally find uncomfortable will be ignored and deleted.

2 3 10 12 13 for the ask game!
2. A headcanon you weren't sure about at first but have come to like! Ok this is hard to answer because I forget what's canon and what's intricately-woven-into-my-brain headcanon but I'll say the "Kariya was an Angel" theory! I never disliked it, but I never liked it more than the simpler explanation of "Oh he's just been around the block a couple of times, that's why he knows more than the average Reaper but still couldn't pick out Joshua as the Composer-that stuff's above his paygrade." Even now it's not "canon to me" level of headcanon, but I can see the appeal and really I appreciate anything that inspires people to look a littler closer at characters like Kariya or Uzuki. Also it's really good when played for comedy. His ass is showing up at the Angel convention, stealing as many appetizers as he can, and bouncing before anyone can point out that he got fired 30 years ago for skipping meetings to go play Tin Pin with random Wall Reapers.
3. A character that fandom has helped you appreciate It's too easy to say Coco so Beat! It's embarrassing to admit but I kinda had a bone to pick with him when I was first getting into the series for sorta "replacing Sho" in neo. I didn't think he was as interesting (and to be fair he really isn't in neo until you take his relation to Rindo's arc into consideration; he works wonderfully as a back for Rindo to hide behind even if his own story was very much concluded by the end of the first game. Then there's also his dynamic with Neku, which is very very good, but he didn't need to be a player character for that. Anyways). Beat analysis posting made me actually pay attention to him while replaying the games and realize how much I'd missed skimming over him in W2 (the poor guy's really gotta try to compete with fan darling Joshua and Sho, aka the loudest fucking man alive, for screen time). His stint as a Reaper is incredibly fascinating. I forget who, but I always distinctly remember someone talking about Beat getting prepped to try and deaden his heart and become as brutal and merciless as a Reaper is supposed to be before ultimately choosing kindness in both his siding with Neku and sparing Kariya and Uzuki in W3 and man.....yeah. He's just such a good guy. He's easily in the top 10 favs now, if not the top 5
10. A blog (mutual or one you follow) that has made your fandom experience brighter Well....yknow....
There are a LOT of others and I'm too shy to tag but goldensunset (incredible analysis) playtwewy (fav fics ever) sho-minamimoto (awesome art + sho headcanons) dj-of-the-coven (made me love beat) purplelea (also incredible analysis) bitternami (very kind and wow I read a fic of yours once and it blew me away...I will remember to find it and leave a comment soon) leonvilasi (always leaves fun and interesting comments in my notes) off the top of my head and a whole bunch of people who aren't as active in the twewy fandom anymore or whose art I love and the people I always see leaving funny tags in my notes you're all awesome <3
12. Compliment someone else in your fandom AUGH HELL ON EARTH!!! dandelion2302 I absolutely adore the way you draw Sho your art is amazing.................
13. Your favorite type of fandom event (gift exchange, ship week, secret santa, prompt meme, etc) Yknow I've never actually done any fandom events before twewy! I had a blast during the twewybang and while I probably won't participate again for a while (I'd rather finish the fic I wrote for the 23 one first) it was a wonderful first experience with this sort of thing :]
#asks#sorry for being a coward everyone#it will happen again#if you see this thank you for making my dash brighter :]#gotta go do coursework now but I will be back for more asks!#if I have to be genuine one more time I'm gonna throw up (/lh)

Not the best but, here's the summary of BW2 of this AU (I'll go by Protag Rosa for this)
Wall of Text Warning
The story is probably altered, but mostly the same (kinda)
By the time of BW2 begins, N was defeated by Hilbert (Protag of BW1) but he turned it down. Finally he has a goal to pursue which he's away from region for a while
By then, he was challenged by Iris and lost the battle. Resulting he was stepped down as a champion and now currently living in Driftveil City (Specifically the building when you obtain Zorua) and created a small organization protecting Pokémon with his sisters as his assistant. Still maintaining a close relationship with Alder
During the intro and until Pre-Nimbasa City is mostly the same. Rosa and Hugh go to adventure, collecting gym badges, and encounters with men/women in in masks claimed themselves as Neo Team Plasma while being assisted by Hugh and several people in the process, meets Iris, and Encounters a man in lab coat named Colress.
By the time Rosa arrived in Nimbasa City, she encounters a man with Christmas Tree hair which she's recognize him as N. Son of Alder and the Pokémon Whisperer (People dubbed him due to ability to understand Pokémon).
After chatting for a while she meets Hugh and introduces him to N (Hugh is a fan of him)
Eventually they encounters Neo Plasma, battle them. Which N notices there's anger in Hugh's eyes which he thinks that Hugh probably have a history with Plasma.
After he battle Hugh finally opens up about what happened 2/3 years ago about his little sister's Purrloin was stolen by Plasma for "Liberation Purposes".
N decides to help him to find his Purrloin and Hugh is extremely grateful for that.
When they reached Driftveil City, N takes them (the same building where he creates his organization) to the building and introduces them of his organization and explains of their purposes. But Hugh finds out that several members of them are former Team Plasma (includes sage Rood)
Bewildered of this, he asks N why which he explains that they are actually believes that Pokémon deserved to be freed from bad humans which he agrees of that. But that doesn't mean that not all humans are bad.
After some explanation, Hugh calms down and reach understanding with N. He left the place to train with his Pokémon. Rosa remembers that there's a gym in the town, so she parts with N for a while.
Sometimes later, after local tournament on PWT, they meet again with N and Hugh notices a Neo Plasma grunt runs towards to the harbor. He decides to go after him despites Colress warning. Rosa, Cheren go after him. Leaving N and Colress behind.
During that time, Colress introduces to him and asks about his involvement with Ghetsis. Surprised by the question and ask how Colress know about it. He reveals that he met him few months ago and can't help that N and Ghetsis are so much alike, but he assures him that Ghetsis is not N's Father in Blood.
N asks him that he's involved with Team Plasma and he answers some other way around. But he told him that the only think he cares about is the Pokémon's true potential. Colress plead to him not to tell to anyone and N relucantly agrees.
Sometime after, Rosa, Hugh, and Cheren returns after the ship flew away, N told them that he has a thing to attend and they part ways for now.
From there until Pre-Opelucid remains he same.
Gotta finish this later, feel free to correct this or whatever.
Oh this is so cool!
I actually had a different idea and planned to make N become the Champion (since he's been training with Alder ever since he was young to take this position), but I really like the way you've taken the story!
(Still making my way through B&W2 so I'm not completely caught up on events yet...)
But like I've stressed before, all interpretations are welcome!! I love the way you manage to weave the characters & their interactions in, and am excited to hear the rest :D

TWEWY Series Analysis/Theory Crafting Master Post
I have a master post for translations (included below) but I don't have one for other analysis posts that I've done. So here is a master post gathering everything here, including translations.
I do a lot of, uh, extra theory crafting and playing with ideas on my art blog, so those posts aren't going to be here unless they also contain something more concrete. If really going off on theory crafting interests you, then check out the #higher plane experimentation and the #neo higher plane experimentation tags on my art blog. For my main blog, I'm going to start tagging any analysis posts with something like #sal posts about twewy series. If I've missed a post that you think should be included, let me know!

SUNDAY MATINEE MUSIC VIDEO: âThe Standardâ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qNcfBR_Rm0k âThink CaribbeanâTime is relaxed. Sun is friendly. Imagine singing this song on a colorful beach, birds swirling around, and waves lapping the sand. Iâve done several music gigs around the Caribbean, and I never dreamed Iâd enjoy it there so much. This song takes my head into that zone. Itâs from the Word2Soul Project, a gospel/neo-soul/pop assembly envisioned by lyricist Amy Mintzer. She hired me to produce demos with the goal of shopping a publishing deal. The demos turned out so well that DJs started airing them. People got excited! W2S became a series based on the templates of albums by Quincy Jones and the Alan Parsons Projectâwhere producers created songs then used a panel of singers to interpret the songs. âThe Standardâ describe an immovable bottom line âstandardâ: A lifeline of Godâs love and strength being there for me no matter how crazy I get or how life tests me. It has an upbeat island/Afro-pop vibe, and I was pleased with my keyboard work (mixed by Tim Breon).Â

the pic doesnt do it justice but Shining Kabtups from Neo Destiny! this one is rlly cool because the only really holo bit is the dinosaur. it's a really sought after card, and i personally woud love one but alas, money. Dino pokemon are best
dino pokemon are underrated and i can tell this is supposed to be a shiny holo like card. I might not own cards from that era ( since my brother's cards were mostly from the r/b/g/y rotation. but I do own a lot of b/w2 rotation cards ) but I have an idea what they look like.

When Colress disbanded Neo Plasma, Fearghas took the advantage of the chaos caused by that and the protagonist of B2/W2 beating Ghetsis to get the fuck out of Giant Chasm and leave.Â
Since he was just a grunt, Fearghas assumed that no one would really try to look for him or anything because he felt that he was replaceable. He would still be in Unova, mostly living and performing his music in Castelia and Nimbasa. A year later, he would get deported and banned from entering the Unova region for a time.

Last updated with Chapter 15âČs Macro Cosmos arc in 2022.
Pokemon: Evil Team arcs (Manga), Divided by Tiers.
The Godly S Tier belongs to Team Rocketâs plot in the Red/Blue/Green Chapter and Team Neo Rocketâs plot in the Gold/Silver/Crystal Chapter. I place them here mostly due to the fact that Kusaka had such limited story material to work with for both of these, yet he somehow managed to make two very intricately plotted, well told, virtually flawless story arcs out of the material he had. Theyâre everything that a great Pokemon story should be, with the first one having Gym Leaders get involved with combating the evil teams and their Legendary-centered plans years before Black and White did this with itâs story, and the second one gave us a proto-World Tournament AND a âstop the villainsâ plot right off the heels of the big tournamentâ climax/finale long before this happened in the XY&Z and SuMo anime seriesâ!
The Exceptionally Good/Great A Tier belongs to the Kanto Elite Fourâs plot in the Yellow Chapter, Team Galacticâs plot in the Diamond/Pearl Chapter and the Platinum Chapter, and Team Flareâs plot in the XY Chapter. These ones are all so high quality and would be up there with the above arcs were there not some glaring minor nuisances in them. With the first, itâd be the whole Viridian Forest nonsense and how Lance threatening to âwipe out all humans in the worldâ feels like a precursor to Lysandreâs plot in X/Y in how the stated end goal doesnât match what weâre actually seeing (on page, Lugiaâs power will only decimate one continent and a few islands, not the entire world). With the second, itâd be Sird. Literally just Sird - her inclusion added nothing and went nowhere. And with the final, itâd be, of course, the Ultimate Weapon. Itâs just stupid on a conceptual level no matter what medium itâs featured in.
The Good But Falls Short Of Being Fully Solid B Tier belongs to Team Rocketâs plot in the Fire Red/Leaf Green Chapter and the Heart Gold/Soul Silver Chapter, and Team Plasmaâs plot in the Black/White Chapter and the Black 2/White 2 Chapter. As great as Team Rocketâs comeback in the former is, with Giovanni being especially awesome there, itâs held back by the presence of that stupid Beast Trio, of which one of itâs members causes a frustrating cliffhanger ending that went years before being resolved in the Emerald Chapter, and Team Rocketâs arc still couldnât be properly finished until a totally different remake-based Chapter! And as great as Team Plasma is in the latter, particularly Ghetsis and Colress, itâs held back by itâs earlier sections where not much of interest happened beyond pale replications of the gamesâ plot beats, and the depiction of N was wildly OOC. Also, Ghetsis causes another frustrating cliffhanger at the end of the B/W Chapter that took years before being resolved in the B2/W2 Chapter! Nothing but bad hiatus memories from that little plot turn...
The Moderately Good Or OK/Average C Tier belongs to Team Skull, the Aether Foundation, and the Ultra Beastsâ plot in the Sun/Moon Chapter. Itâs got some really strong moments and great adaptational choices to it, but then it also has really weak moments and downright boneheaded adaptational choices (looking at Manga!Faba here!). Itâs overall just alright.Â
The Below Average Or Poor D Tier belongs to Team Aqua and Team Magmaâs plots in both the Ruby/Sapphire Chapter and the Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire Chapter. The former, as with the Chapter itself, ran the gauntlet from being Average to Below Average to flat out Poor the longer it went on. And the latter was mostly just poor all around, with a few bright spots due to Zinnia being a very fun and very well-realized character here, Archie and Maxie finally finding redemption, and the new Aqua and Magma characters being preferable to the old.
The just plain BAD E Tier belongs to Guile Hideoutâs plot in the Emerald Chapter. Just...Archie. Wearing space knight armor from Team Galactic. Given to him by Sird. That he murdered Maxie in cold blood in order to have. But that ends up killing him in the end. When he uses itâs power in tandem with Jirachiâs to try to make his own Kyogre and flood the planet. Yeah, this was just DUMB.

Small form factor systems have many different and useful applications. Some of these include business systems, HTPCs and even general computing such as word processing and web browsing. Not every system has to have an ATX sized footprint and one such SFF mini-PC is the one currently on our test bench today; the MINIX Neo N42C-4. Is it worth the price tag and does it do the job? Letâs find outâŠ
MINIX Neo N42C-4 Specifications & Features
Preinstalled onto the MINIX Neo N42C-4 is a full licenced version of Windows 10 Professional 64-bit which is a nice touch. The Neo N42C-4 also includes a VESA compatible mounting bracket which allows users to mount the system to the back of a monitor, or onto another surface such as a wall. While this mini-PC is designed to work straight from the box, MINIX also provided us with an extra 4GB DDR3L of RAM, a 128GB M.2 drive and a 2.4GHz Neo W2 Windows Remote which are available directly from MINIX at an additional cost. Itâs also worth noting that despite the official specifications, with the right memory, up to 16GB can be installed. For the best experience, itâs best to stick to what is QVLâed in the official specifications.
Below are the official specifications minus the optional extras:
Specifications:
Processor â Intel Pentium N4200 (64-bit)
GPU â Intel HD Graphics 505
Memory â 4GB DDR3L
Memory Slot â 2 x SODIMM slot, dual channel support [each support up to 8GB]
Storage â Built-in 32GB eMMC 5.1 (MLC)
Storage Expansion â 1 x 2280 M.2 slot (SATA 6.0Gbps) [support up to 512GB]
Wireless Connectivity â 802.11ac Dual-Band Wi-Fi/Bluetooth 4.1
Operating System â Windows 10 Pro (64-bit) Video Output- HDMIâą 1.4 (4K @ 30Hz)/Mini DisplayPort (4K @ 60Hz)/USB-C (4K @ 60Hz)
Audio Output â HDMIâą 1.4/Mini DisplayPort/Optical SPDIF/3.5mm audio jack
Analog Audio Input â 3.5mm audio jack
Peripheral Interface â RJ-45 Gigabit Ethernet
USB 3.0 port x 3 USB-C port x 1 Kensington lock ready
Accessories and Bundle
MINIX Neo N42C-4 Closer Look
The design of the MINIX Neo N42C-4 is quite interesting with an all-black plastic shell and with a total size of just 13.9 x 13.9 x 3 (cm); this is very small given the quad-core Intel Apollo Lake Pentium N4200 processor inside. From the first time I turned it on, I noticed that the plastic shell is a fingerprint magnet. Users have the option to use the Neo N42C-4 either as a standard system on a desk or mounted with the aid of the included VESA mounting kit.
Looking at the connectors and outputs of the Neo N42C-4, there is a 12V DCIN power input, an RJ45 1GbE LAN port, a Mini DisplayPort 1.2, an HDMI 1.4, a single USB Type-C port and a 3.5 mm jack for audio devices.
On the other side are 3 x USB Type-A ports and to the far-right is a power button. On the flip side is a Kensington Lock for securing it down and protecting it from theft. The front panel edging looks very sleek, while the two side edges have ventilation to help keep the internal componentry cool when in operation.
Gaining entry to take a closer look at the internals can be done by lifting off the four rubber feet and unscrewing each of the four screws that keep the case together.
Moving onto the internal components and on the rear are two x SODIMM DDR3L slots; one is populated with 4GB and the other empty. Installing the second stick provided by MINIX for the purpose of the review was simple and easy to do. While 32GB isnât a lot of space on the internal MMC, especially with around 10-11GB of reserved space just for the operating system, installing critical and vital updates to Windows 10 could be a problem in the future. This also doesnât leave a lot of space for applications and programs, but itâs not a pitfall as some internal memory is better than none. You could opt to use an external storage device such as a flash drive or external HDD to aid with this, especially as the Neo N42C-4 has three USB Type-A and one USB Type-C to utilise.
Supplied by MINIX was one of their 128GB M.2 SSDs which comes pre-installed with Windows 10 Pro and MINIX themselves offer a few different packages of the Neo N42C-4 to select from. Installing this was simple, it slotted in perfectly and is secured down with a provided M.2 installation screw.
Cooling the quad-core Intel Pentium N4200 processor is a basic low profile CPU cooler. While this looks like a cheap option, itâs actually more than capable and offers good acoustic performance as the system under full-load barely makes a fuss. The Intel Pentium N4200 belongs to its Apollo Lake range and has 4 cores and 4 threads; more than capable for a small form factor mini PC such as this. The chip also provides the graphics thanks to integrated Intel HD Graphics 505 graphics chip onto the processors die. Users can use the triple video output with up to three monitors simultaneously; the mini-DisplayPort 1.2, HDMI 1.4 and USB Type-C all offer up to 4K resolutions.
One of the interesting aspects of Windows 10 Professional is that it allows a media remote control to be used. This is a good thing for users looking to create a Windows-based HTPC for the living room, bedroom or even home theatre system. MINIX supplied us with one of their NEO W2 remotes which is specifically designed with Windows 10 in mind. This operates with a 2.4GHz frequency and uses 6-axis gyroscope technology. The front side looks like a conventional remote control, but the flip side does feature a fully backlit QWERTY keyboard. This remote requires 2 x AAA batteries to operate it, but unfortunately, they donât come supplied (this is normal).
MINIX Neo N42C-4 Performance (General, HTPC and Benchmarks)
To approach the task of testing the performance of the Neo N42C-4 mini-PC, I used it for a total of 2-weeks as my main system for dealing with web-browsing, communications such as social media and emails, as well as for video playback. As a result, Iâve split my experiences and the results in two different sections.
General Experience
Using the MINIX N42C-4 as my daily driver for the past couple of weeks was actually quite inspiring given I essentially went from a 16-core 64GB system with dedicated graphics, to a more SFF system such as this. As MINIX supplied a 128GB M.2 SSD, this certainly worked better for me given I use a variety of everyday applications; 32GB of eMMC memory just wouldnât cut it. For users with hefty storage requirements, the N42C-4 supports M.2 drives up to and including 512 GB which isnât exactly âgreatâ, but itâs more than ample for a system of this size.
Below is a set of results from benchmarks which outline the general performance of the N42C-4. This includes the processor, memory, storage and overall system performance.
General Results

Video Playback Performance (HTPC)
One of the best uses for the N42C-4 is for a home-based media system. The three video outputs all support up to 4K resolutions with 30fps and 1080p HD resolutions beyond this. Streaming applications such as Netflix, Hulu and Spotify work seamlessly when used with Windows 10 and the included Neo W2 remote control, and the overall experience was a good one. For users rocking full A/V setups with dedicated amplifiers and sound systems, Iâm sceptical that this is the best solution as the audio capabilities are limited to HDMI, mini-DisplayPort and a single 3.5mm audio jack. This means features such as Dolby 7.1 and Atmos and is somewhat limited in this regard. Visually though, the N42C-4 does a fantastic job for the price and would be more than suitable for a basic media system with its 802.11ac Wi-Fi support built in; Bluetooth 4.2 connectivity is also supported.
The MINIX Neo N42C-4 Review: The Verdict
The world of NUCs, HTPCs and miniature systems is one thatâs growing exponentially, this is forcing manufacturers to come up with more unique ideas for implementation. While an Intel NUC is ultimately smaller than the Neo N42C-4, they generally donât have the firepower attached and as a result, makes the Neo N42C-4 a very attractive offering.
Whatâs hot:
Very slender and sleek design
Plenty of USB connectivity (3 x Type-A and 1 x Type-C)
Handles 4K playback at 30fps without issues
Great build quality
Great price considering Windows 10 Professional (64-bit) comes pre-installed
Intel Apollo Lake N4200 quad-core processor is great for a small form factor PC
Upgradable with up to 512GB storage and 16GB DDR3L
Whatâs not:
Limited 32GB eMMC storage isnât enough as standard
Audio is limited to a single 3.5mm jack (although HDMI and mini-DisplayPort also transmits audio)
It allows users to connect to the internet via the internal 802.11ac Wi-Fi adapter and via a single 1 Gigabit Ethernet port. Also featured are three USB 3.0 Type-A ports which are more than enough for a system like this; especially given this is enough for a keyboard, mouse and gaming headset. I personally used it via the USB hub built into my Arctic Z1 Pro desk mount. Speaking of mounting, the Neo N42C-4 comes with a pre-supplied VESA compliant mounting kit and it can be mounted to a stand, left on the desktop or even mounted to the rear of a compatible monitor.
When combined with the MINIX Neo W2 remote, it makes the N42C-4 a formidable HTPC which not only looks great but is small enough to place underneath a TV without much fuss. Video playback is strong and 4K playback is also supported which makes pairing this up with a 4K TV something that can be favourable for the ultimate viewing experience. The only let down really is a single 3.5mm jack which does limit the use with a full home cinema system, but users can use the mini-DisplayPort or HDMI to transmit both picture and audio.
For users looking for a svelte and stylish mini-PC for general computing tasks such as word processing, web browsing and even light gaming, the MINIX Neo N42C-4 is a solid pocket-sized workhorse. This is attributed to the Intel Apollo Lake Pentium N4200 quad-core processor with integrated Intel HD 505 graphics. Paired with 8GB of system RAM and an M.2 drive, the system really flies and is only faltered when up against intensive computation workloads such as encoding, rendering or high-graphical scenarios such as gaming. For everything else, the N42C-4 is a huge hit despite its small size. For around ÂŁ250 and upwards depending on the configuration, itâs a solid purchase and more than deserves our gold award.
Thanks to MINIX for sending a sample of the Neo N42C-4 in for review.

NEO: Uzuki and The Composer
Uzuki brings up the Composer during W2 in NEO and no one comments on it even though a certain someone probably should have.
But in the Japanese version, Uzuki never brings up the Composer in the first place. Details below, contains spoilers for NEO mid and end game, and a bit from TWEWY A New Day.
EDIT: Master Post for more EN/JP Comparisons
W2D4, when the Wicked Twisters tell Uzuki they don't remember dying, in English, she says:
This is above even the Game Master's pay grade... Only the Composer could deal with a royal mess like this.
A possible reason why Beat doesn't say anything here is because Uzuki in Japanese says:
ă©ăăăăăšïŒ What do you mean?
ăăăȘăźææźïżœïżœïżœâŠăČăŒă ăăčăżăŒä»„äžăćăæ±ăïżœïżœïżœä»¶ăăăȘă For this Conductor...Game Master, this is a task handled by someone more than that.
I'm not sure exactly how to translate the part about the Conductor (ææźè
). I think she's just correcting herself, but regardless, there is a very important difference compared to the EN version.
She does not bring up the Composer, ăłăłăăŒă¶ăŒ
This answers some questions. Partially one, why Beat doesn't say a thing about the Composer. But even knowing that Uzuki didn't say the Composer specifically, she's still talking about someone above the GM/Conductor. Beat...should know/remember who that could be, right?
Even if there isn't a point to bringing up the Composer or finding him or whatever. Kinda like in TWEWY A New Day:
Beat How we s'posed to find him, though? Ain't he long gone by now? Neku Maybe. But if these visions are his doing, then maybe he's come back.
Moving on, another question, is why Rindo didn't say anything on W3D5 when Tsugumi talks about them coming to the UG without dying:
Tsugumi You came to the UG without dying. But neither a Player nor a Reaper could have made that happen. That's Dissonance. Rindo (But if not a Player or a Reaper...then who?)
Then Rindo recalls the conversation with Uzuki which does mention the Composer in EN:
It would have been a good time to say something like "Oh maybe this Composer person I heard about is behind this".
Here are the two lines he recalls in Japanese, and neither one talks about the Composer as discussed above.
While it's not incorrect to bring up the Composer in EN, it's difficult to have characters react to this information when the original text did not. As mentioned above, Beat would have probably said something. Rindo, at this point, I feel would have definitely said something since they're trying to figure out who's behind this. But since it's not in the original text, having Rindo bring that up in EN and make it work would have been even more of a mess.
I would have loved to see how that would have played out, provided that it was there in the first place, but oh well.
A final point, but now that we know that Uzuki did not bring up the Composer originally in Japanese, then as far as I know there isn't any other time before Joshua introduces himself as the Composer that Rindo hears about the title. That's also the point when Rindo looks up the word "Composer", like he does when he's uncertain about what something means.
Some mysteries solved!
#ntwewy spoilers#ntwewy#neo the world ends with you#neo the world ends with you spoilers#twewy and#the world ends with you a new day#ntwewy en jp differences#uzuki yashiro#rindo kanade#daisukenojo beat bito#shibuya composer ntwewy#shibuya's composer ntwewy#wait how do we tag for composers now?#these are the main characters being talked about#and yeah there's another person who's very quiet about all this too#who suspects the composer is behind this. probably wants evidence though. maybe?#ah well. i'm not annoyed at rindo about this anymore

Cultural Identity, Globalism, Nationalism- What do these mean?!
With Peterâs suggestion, I decided to do a bit of research on definitions of cultural identity. I already wanted to shift my lens more towards cultural identity rather than national one for sometime. But like, what does all these really mean? What does it encompass? Are they the blue of the same thing or totally different? Where are the overlaps? Everybody has their own ideas but itâs important to be exact to avoid conflict and confusion within the paper.
What is culture?
Culture is generally said to be the shared characteristics of a group. It usually determined by birthplace, religion, language, customs and arts.
Language and customs seem to be the main spiel in here.
It is a very man-made thing- it âbegins at the point at which humans surpass whatever is simply given in their natural inheritance.â (Sedgwick and Edgar, 1999)
It is usually gets pronounced when two cultures clash or a person of one culture moves to a place of a different culture (mood.)
What is identity?
Basically how a person compares and put themselves in a group compared to the world.
Cultural identity happens when an individual identifies with a set of customs, practices, artefacts, language and environment.
Nationalism- Is it bad? Good? Does it belong in the trash? Or a healthy dose is good?
National identity: An individual identifying with their birthplace and place where they grew up, in the context of legal national borders. Those borders they grew up in is where their identity lies.Â
Nationalism: The ideology that claims autonomy and shared common identity within legal national borders.Â
Ethnic identity: A group of people identifying with shared cultural characteristics, most notably language (but also history, belief, food.)Â
In national identity, portrayal and representation is important. A representative person (historical or political) is what the people of the nation can identify and take pride; or simply someone the nation chose it to become their âspokespersonâ, someone who can speak for the entire nation.
Failure of democracies; since those spokespeople are chosen via vote of the majority, who speaks for the minorities, especially ethnic ones? What about the refugees or âaliensâ, foreign people who have been living in a particular place for so long but havenât gotten their citizenship due to circumstances or simply constant rejection? (Philosophy Tube, 2019)Â
In small doses, nationalism simply asks autonomy of a nation and unity of people; in extreme situations, it might include ethno-state and racism against minorities within national borders, as seen with the current cultural phenomenon of rising Neo-Nazism.
Is pretty modern in terms of philosophy; Scholars say it started with American Declaration of Independence (1776) and The French Revolution (1789) developing national consciousness.
During Middle Ages, borders werenât strict and cultural exchanges were much more free. After 18th century, it became more political.
Globalism- Do we all lose our identities? Or is it our hope to world peace?
Globalism: a national policy of treating the whole world as a proper sphere for political influence (Merriam-Webster)
Internationalism
After two World Wars, an interest in internationalisation arose.
People and commodities got more mobilised.
Tech brought people together.
Media and destruction is more widespread.
Globally recognisable object/design- Doesnât mean that itâs âglobalâ in terms of design, the design still carries its localities but has the distribution power of going wide in global market. (Capitalismm)
Art in All These- how to achieve le results?
It is usually thought that only way to express national identity through design is through local materials.
This discussion can link to âminor languageâ- using a major language to challenge the major language (using the same weapons to challenge the majority.)
National design spreads through knowledge, belief and attitudes gained by education and media.
All these aspects are encouraged and can even be controlled by government, industry and influencial people.
Architect Kenneth Frampton
Regionalism and insensitive usage of local iconography and styles can just become appropiation and mindless revivalism. With educated incooparation within context and symbolism, local styles can be molded with materials of choice in a modern way.
