Mamba
Tumblr media
Queen of NebulaClan
Clever, manipulative and willing to do anything for power, Mamba walked herself into NebulaClan’s main camp and informed Dominic he needed an equally intelligent person to rule alongside him. Sparks flew and she became the “queen” of NebulaClan quickly. She never discussed her past with anyone in NebulaClan, leaving her exact origins a mystery and a forbidden topic to all. Mamba is known for killing kits who fall short of her high standards or just to make a point to the family.
Root; leader of PoisonClan, tells the other leaders at the first true Gathering in over five centuries that Mamba was once a brilliant PoisonClan warrior with a knack for finding the enemy’s weak spots. She often injected a cocktail poison of black mamba venom and water hemlock to ensure a most gruesome and painful death. She was banished from the clan after she was found stealing kits and killing them when they did not obey her commands. She is highly dangerous, possibly moreso than Dominic because of her natural venom.
Mamba does not understand the concept of “caring” for someone who does not meet her high standards. She’s considered a proper psychopath with a perfectionist root to boot. She finds Dominic rather irritating at times but is pleased by his position and the way he allows her to shape his empire the way she likes. They likely do not hold a relationship full of love, but rather mutual agreement that things are better with the other existing than not.
Mamba only has one child: Neoma. She doesn’t seem to like her very much but does not hate her for her “flaws”. Mamba never hit Neoma like Dominic did, nor did she aggressively abuse her emotionally or mentally as Dominic did as well. She seemed indifferent, rarely offering any show of support unless she was coldly stating “that’s enough” during punishment. It’s possible that at least one tiny shred of motherly instinct prevented her from destroying her own kit like she had so many others, but many believe Mamba just didn’t see Neoma as worth her time.

Dominic Tolibo
Tumblr media
Leader of NebulaClan | Terrorist
Almost cartoonishly evil and vile, Dominic Tolibo is the one demidragon all can agree deserves to die. He has killed many innocents that the particular religious say his scales are redder than Blaze’s. Dominic Tolibo was a skilled FireClan warrior, trained personally by Rod when he failed to attend the mandatory training meetings in 2013. He proved he was more than adequate at fighting, using cunning strategies to outsmart larger, stronger opponents. He often fought dirty and was reprimanded time and time again for his actions.
He stole Hiccup Firehades a few months after he was born and placed a very unstable aging spell on him to essentially stop the kit’s development for a time in a bubble. While Blaze, Arthur Indigo and Matt Fayette left to retrieve the child, Dominic overthrew warriors loyal to Blaze with the help of his allies and began to rule like the dictator he is. When the warriors returned to take the power back, he killed Shrew Willowhut very publicly just to prove that he could. In retaliation, Matt gave him the scars on his face.
Later on, Dominic would meet a few demidragons who would take him to Alaska and introduce him to a clan they called NebulaClan. It was an underground clan dedicated to destroying the human race and purifying the Earth. They tested Dominic’s blood and found him the rightful heir of the throne, the proud bearer of an ancient powerful bloodline with a bloody history. A demidragoness named Mamba would find him a few years down the line with a dangerous smile and even more cunning plans to seize power. He claimed her as his mate and together, they had Neoma. He cast a different aging spell on Neoma that increased the rate of her aging process so she would be closer in age to Hiccup. It’s believed he planned to have her kill the son of Blaze to further destroy Hiccup, but his plans were unsuccessful when he realized she wasn’t likely to do it.
Dominic Tolibo is many things: ruthless, cunning, stubborn and perhaps not entirely the mastermind everyone believes he is. His closest warrior; Drew Greenlaw, has seen him murmuring to strange shadows he does not control, and even Mamba has sneered at his inability to make an original plan without her help. There is no denying Dominic is revolting, a terrorist by definition, but others fear a darker power may actually be pulling his strings.

Neoma Tolibo
Tumblr media
Warrior of FireClan | Pacifist
At first glance, Neoma looks like a hybrid demidragon who likes to fight. After talking to her, you’d discover her kindhearted nature and aversion to fighting. Neoma Tolibo was born in the midst of the war to a father who would beat her in an attempt to get her to abide by his vision of her and a mother who didn’t care much for what happened to her daughter. She learned early on that no one cared about her feelings or her own ideas and her only purpose was to carry on the Tolibo line.
Fortunately, she escaped her imprisonment and found Hiccup Firehades incapacitated from his own growing pains similar to how she was. The two spent half a day together before Blaze and her patrol found them. At first, Blaze was unwilling to accept Neoma as a refugee. It took a lot of coaxing from her mate to even allow her to be brought back for medical treatment. They found her snow white wings a bit odd, especially given that they knew her mother was pure demidragon, but as time went on, the entire clan would discover all of the abuse Neoma was put through. Her wings had been torn to shreds in an attempt to confine her to the caves NebulaClan lived in, and they had worked until Neoma was beaten within an inch of her life and the Being; Glux took pity on her and gave her new wings. Unfortunately, she still didn’t know how to fly, so she still had to run.
It was Hiccup who persisted in bringing her food when he was allowed outside of the Healers den and talked to her even though she didn’t talk to him. He taught her how to speak fluent English and convinced his father to teach her how to fly. Abble Sol Desmi soon joined in, teaching her that FireClan would never hurt her, no matter who her parents were, and later taught her a warrior didn’t have to fight in order to settle a conflict. Ever since then, she’s renounced fighting except in the direst of consequences and lives in Los Angeles to avoid the cold she hates so much.
Neoma was diagnosed with rather severe PTSD and a mild anxiety disorder which is treated with specially made medication Allura makes for her every 6 months. She is now in a relationship with Hiccup, continues to be best friends with Abble and loves her job as a reporter for FireClan’s very own newspaper; The Hearth. She knows quite a great deal of alchemy and a few spells that Hiccup has taught her over the years. Neoma is kindhearted and generous, but has learned how to say no and will defend her friends if she must using her wit and quick tongue. She looks forward to the day when the threat of NebulaClan attacking again will subside and she will no longer have to fear her parent's retaliation for her betrayal.

Midnight Firehades
Tumblr media
Loner/Rogue
★ Playlist ★
Once known as the Prince of Death, Midnight Firehades is a highly powerful rouge with few cares in the world. He was raised by literal wolves until a new alpha took over the pack and forced him out. As a result, Midnight does not fully comprehend emotional attachments or bonds--he had to kill that part of him off to survive in the world. Sarcastic, flirty and charming, Midnight doesn’t come off as particularly dangerous, but every single demidragon in the world knows perfectly well what he’s capable of.
Midnight spent much of his life ensuring he had a reputation to keep others away from him. When he fights, he doesn’t play fair, and he hunts wherever he pleases. His wings allowed him to fly almost silently through the air, projecting him through the currents faster and with more stability than almost any other demidragon. Midnight lacks the kind of refined control over his fire powers that his younger sisters do. Instead, he’s capable of firing a bluish-purple plasma blast from his mouth that will explode after a bit. He remains fairly fire resistant and has a habit of firing a shot at the spot he wishes to sleep on so that it's warm, but he cannot summon flames to his body. What he can do is command the dead to do his bidding and pull a person's very soul out of their body. He has a number of tricks up his sleeves and has employed almost all of them at least once, earning his “Prince of Death” title.
Back during the Great War, Dominic Tolibo sought Midnight Firehades out to hire as an assassin. He offered him his very own independent patch of land to claim as a territory. In return, Midnight merely had to kill Blaze Firehades. He never informed her of her name or parentage, but Midnight grew suspicious after several fights had gone by and she had employed not only the use of flames from her mouth but actually turned spirits he sent after her away. His suspicions were later confirmed when a clanmate of hers called out her name and he realized he was about to kill his sister. He flew back to Dominic's cavern fortress and demanded he be released from his duties, claiming he didn’t want or need it anymore. Dominic realized what was going on and had his warriors pin the powerful son of Hades down. He then ordered molten metal to be imprinted into his skin down to the muscle and for chains to connect to this molten metal so he would never get free again. The night after the horrible deed was done, Midnight was rescued by someone...but he can’t remember who or how the metal was magically removed from his body. Worse than that, he’s now sporting the worst scars he’s ever seen that are plugged up with some sort of strange and powerful magic. Once he woke up, he flew directly to Blaze and requested to speak to her. She listened to his story and tentatively welcomed him into her clan as a guest-for-trial. He proved himself to be devoted to her, almost ecstatic when she informed him he had another little sister named Flame. He slowly began to grow used to the idea of family, even giving Matt Fayette a little chat about how he was absolutely not allowed to hurt his sister. Then Matt was killed while he and Blaze were out on a patrol and there was nothing he could do to stop his sister's anguish or his nephew's nightmares. Well...there was one thing he decided he could do. Using the influence and sway he had over the other rogues and loners, many who had flocked to NebulaClan after Midnight had decidedly allied himself with them, he announced that if they joined the allied clans, they would not only receive food and protection, but the potential to join a clan if they so chose to. If they didn’t, then he would ensure that no harm came to them. Automatically, all of the rogues and loners flocked to his side. Midnight Firehades made the entire Great War come to a standstill.
Though Midnight may have a great amount of influence over the rogues and loners, he’s not very dedicated to forming a clan out of them. He lets them do their own thing and if they ever decide they need him, they know ways of finding him or simply leaving a message. Midnight decided after a couple of years living in FireClan that he valued his freedom too greatly to stay, but learned the art of healing before he left so he could help others instead of hurting them in the future. He built up on his relationship with his remaining family and has been known to send his nephew a gift every birthday to ensure the boy knows he wasn’t forgotten about because he knows what that feels like. Midnight Firehades is many things to many people: cocky, flirtatious, confident, snarky, sarcastic, kind, and even brave, but this rougish loner is just happy he finally has a family of his own in the world.
