💌 - First crush/love

his first relevant one is his (now ex) girlfriend yulia. they started dating at like 16-17 in elf high school because they were assigned partners in a dance class.

their relationship was short and shallower than a kiddie pool. they're close to 100 yrs old now but the relationship still haunts both of them because yulia is the pettiest person alive.

hirmi is a hopeless romantic at heart and i'm sure he had crushes before yulia came along. she was unfortunately the first crush that went anywhere.

💢 - Person they can’t stand

also yulia. the reason he started skipping elf practice was because he was too awkward to keep dancing with her for dance class even after they broke up. yulia constantly puts him down, makes fun of him for being a drop-out, and has tried many times (and in his eyes, has succeeded) to ruin his life.

🩹 - Someone who was a source of trauma

unfortunately, many of the adults in his life, especially his parents and the church elders in the war sect he previously worshiped in. he honestly viewed his dad as his closest friend/loved one, but when his parents went through a rough patch and separated his dad's way of coping with that was shutting down/shutting people out. and jovian does not handle being shut out well. it felt like betrayal.

he also has resentment towards his mom. his parents' marriage fell apart because his mom had an affair, and i think, at the time at least, jovian felt like this was another betrayal towards the whole family.

as he grows older, he learns to forgive his family and tries not to hold what happened against any of them.

🔪 - Enemy/nemesis

ough this is a good question for him. it's just not in his nature to hate people. if jovian sees you as an enemy that alone is a huge red flag lmao.

i'd say the closest thing to a "nemesis" he has is his old church, and the god he used to worship, torm. (this is the god he's currently serving under in our game actually). there's a long list of hurt feelings and religious trauma.

he also tends to be wary of tyr worshipers (the god of justice), simply because tyr's church treated him the worst after his family's scandal came out.

Hi, I saw you helped another anon out recently with a lost fic, and I wonder if you would be kind enough to do the same for me? Years ago I read a deaged!Jonny fic where he's meant to be spending the night with Duncs and Seabs (to give Pat a break?), and he walks himself over to Pat's in the middle of the cold night! Pat calls Seabs and is like 'missing something, assholes?' and refuses for them to come collect little Jonny cause they obviously can't be trusted. I can't remember who wrote it or what it was called, but I would love to read it again. Do you know it?
