Tonight, the Green Comet C/2022 E3 ZTF will reach Perihelion, and it be the closest to earth that we will ever see it in our lifetimes. Green Comet C/2022 E3 ZTF flying next to the Joshua Tree to the right, near Cap Rock at Joshua Tree National Park on January 28, 2023 at 7:45 PM! So glad that I came here with @lifenaturelvr to check out and photograph this once in a Lifetime Comet's visit as it is approaching Earth right now! Honestly it was a very faint Comet and it was not visible to the naked eyes, unlike the brighter Neowise Comet in 2020, which was visible to the naked eyes. But thanks to my Nikon D810 and Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8 lens, I was able to capture this rare beauty in the skies! This was my first out of three compositions of a Joshua Tree with the Comet. Some pix from a trip to Glacier a few years ago. I had started the day with a brand new SD card only to discover that the card was corrupted. I lost all of the photos from my camera - I lost everything but the photos from my iPhone. Still, great memories of Montana and @glaciernps.
