My favourite type of characters are those who would try to be romantic by throwing stones at someone’s window only to break the window and also find out that they’re at the wrong house

Because the story I was writing was deleted courtesy of my parrot (apparently bird tongues work on tablet screens), I leave you with whatever this is:

I can’t be the only one who thinks Rafe Adler from Uncharted 4 looks extremely similar to Zussman from COD WW2. This means it’s conspiracy theory time!

Zussman is between 21-23 during the events of COD WW2, so still very young. Rafe Adler is somewhere in his 30’s during the events of Uncharted 4, which is set in 2016. For the sake of this theory, we’ll go with about 35.

Let’s say Zuss got married at 25 in 1947, and had a daughter (let’s call her Lisa) in 1950. If Rafe is 35 in the events of Uncharted, that would place his birthday sometime in 1981. The same year Lisa would 31.

It’s canon that Zussman’s family owned a store of some kind his entire life. It’s also canon in the uncharted series that Rafe inherited his family’s business- a chain of big box retailers.

What if Zussman took over the family business and managed to grow it enough to be able to open more locations across America? He’d probably pass it down to his daughter, Lisa, who would take over running it probably sometime in the 70’s.

Let’s say Lisa meets a guy (let’s call him Richard Adler) at age 27, dates him for a couple years, then marries him in 1980 at the age of 30. A year later they have their first child, Rafe Adler, Zussman’s grandson that eventually takes over the business.

“But, Bird! Rafe has contact with mercenaries! How does that work?” I hear you.

What if Aiello’s family has ties to the Italian mafia? What if Aiello looped Zussman in and they used the original store as a front for shady business dealings? What if Zuss used his cut to grow the store? What if the girl Zussman married is Aiello’s own sister? The two families are now tied together.

Rafe needs a mercenary for finding Avery’s treasure? Why not call one of Aiello’s grandchildren (his cousins) whom he grew up with, and happens to know a certain Nadine Ross?

Anyway that’s just a fun theory and probably not canon whatsoever. But it sure is fun to think about. And you can’t deny that Rafe looks like Aiello and Zussman put together. 😉
