Facts About The Royal Rumble : Part 2

Here are more facts about the Royal Rumble that you may or may have not known. If you haven’t read Part 1 , please feel free to do so !

1. Bianca Belair holds the record for the longest cumulative time in the Women’s Royal Rumble Match , which is 3 hours , 5 minutes , 25 seconds . She is also the winner of the 2021 Women’s Royal Rumble Match and the second African American to a win the Royal Rumble, with The Rock being the first to do so.

2. WWE Hall of Famer , Bret ‘ The Hitman ’ Hart and Lex Luger were the co-winners of the 1994 Royal Rumble match. This happened when Bret Hart mistakenly eliminated himself from the match as he was trying to eliminate Luger. Hart’s and Luger’s feet both hit the floor at the same time. They were declared the co-winners of the match . This meant they both got to face WWF Champion, Yokozuna , WrestleMania X.

3. Liv Morgan and Charlotte Flair share a record for the most runner-up finishes in the Women’s Royal Rumble match. They both have two runner - up finishes .

4. The number 30 spot in the Men’s Royal Rumble match has the most winners . 2007- The Undertaker , 2008 - John Cena , 2016- Triple H , 2022 - Brock Lesnar , 2023 - Cody Rhodes

5. Natalya shares the record with Liv Morgan for the most appearances in the Women’s Royal Rumble match . They both have appeared in the match 7 times. Both have entered the Rumble ever since the inaugural one , in 2018.

Maybe it’s an unpopular opinion but people are always complaining that Rhea’s reign has been boring and unmemorable and I personally think it’s because of the opponents she’s been given.

Rhea is really good in the ring and on the mic. She has an extremely unique look and a unique storyline. She has natural charisma and she’s so over with the crowd, and even with the general public who don’t even watch wrestling. Everyone loves mami or at least loves to hate her. But between them at first not giving her enough matches/storylines with the women’s roster because they were too focused on her role in the judgment day and them now giving her more matches but with (IMO) crappy opponents, they’re really fumbling her reign and I don’t think it’s her fault.

Giving Maxxine, who—as much as I like her—was clearly not ready for a match (and a match with the women’s champion of all people, at that) a match with Rhea is just gonna have people talking about how awkward the match was, giving Rhea more negative ‘press’

One of Rhea’s most memorable feuds during her reign so far was with Nia Jax of all people, and even that one ended pretty quickly. The feud with Raquel made sense but if you don’t care about Raquel, which a lot of us don’t, it wasn’t all that notable. The feud with Natty was okay but the matches were short as hell.

Imo, Rhea deserves to be feuding with people like becky, Bianca, Charlotte, bayley, asuka, etc (even though most of them are on the other brand) people who are already well-established, not newbies or wrestlers that (sorry to say it) most people don’t care about or take seriously. She deserves to be feuding with someone who can keep up with her and who she doesn’t have to carry throughout the match, and she deserves to feud with a fellow star who is on or above her level, and I feel like she hasn’t really gotten that opportunity during this reign.

And also, they could still be doing a much better job of juggling her involvement with the judgement day and her involvement in the women’s division. She should be terrorizing the women’s locker room or having a match every week.

It’s just disappointing as someone who’s a huge fan of her to see her reign being shit on for being boring when IMO it’s really not her fault. But hopefully the feud with Ivy will be good.
